I love mocha brown ryuzo soooooo much. Hope switch could rerelease him someday. The new skin milktea rose is totally different.

 

Adding on to the previous reply, the Attractive body also has more natural back muscles than the previous body

Just discovered switch-dolls and am absolutely in love with their headsculpts and wigs - I am a bit confused by their release-strategy though. How often do they sell dolls? Also, does anyone have recommendation where to order their dolls when youre from europe? Thanks in advance!

 

@raxii From the 1st to the 5th each month Switch offers a small selection of dolls for pre-order, currently those are only Shiho, Pavian, Hina, and Bahm,

All of their other dolls are offered on a limited time or limited quantity sale with no set schedule. Only Switch knows what's going to be offered next until they make an announcement about it.

So, if there is a specific doll you have an eye on you'll either have to wait around until Switch announces they're re-releasing it in the skin color you want, which could happen anytime in the near future, or not, or try for one on the MP.

 

I have a yet another question of the body
Is there a purpose why the legs are stringed through the hole in the hip part? Where the strings meet and left goes right and right goes left.

a general question: do you guys have any experience with hybriding their heads? i really like their heads but am kind of unsure about the body-sculpt and am thinking about mixing it with another one. But as always the question is - with which other companies the resin matches,etc.

Hi @raxii welcome to the thread! Just wanted to add to what has being said that Faithz.com sometimes runs preorders for heads that aren't available in the Switch site (plus they offer layaway). I purchased my Sohwa, Huisa direction (now sold) and my Ajeong closer version heads there. They offer bodies too, like the Switch Attractive and Humming dolly bodies, wigs, clothes and shoes. You just have to be checking their website, but they always announce preorders in the news section of the forum. That's a way to get a head from a previous Switch preorder, and the other way is checking second hand market as Cloudedmind suggested.

About hybrids, it will really depends on the batch of resin color you want to match. Newer Switch resin is a bit pinkier than before. If you want to hybrid a head from 2010/2013 you can use a body with a yellow or cream base color like Spiritdoll, Dollfactory, Volks, etc. But if you have a head from 2016/2018, I suggest you to hybrid with the newer oriental skin color from Dollshe or Dollstown, or the new normal skin from Dollzone. It will really depends on the size of the head too and your preference ^_^ ! BTW, as @Chelokotik recommended me, Doll family H offers custom Switch resin colors, but only in Taobao. This company also has a chinese dealer called "Alice Collections" but I don't really know if they accept resin match there.

I'm planning on getting a switch/dfh hybrid so I asked Alice's Collections if it's possible to resin match. They told me they do, and if I want the switch skin colour there is no extra charge, but if you need to send in a sample it's an extra 45USD. I had my eye on the 68cm body but it would probably be too large.

 

Some Chinese bjd company do accept resin match, such as POPOdoll, DF, AS, DL etc. I matched my Seolrok in white skin with POPOdoll 68cm male body from 2017 and I could say that the resin match was pretty good, and the porpotion was really nice!

My seolrok just came back from faceup commission a few days ago and I’m so in love with him!

I’m super happy to see Soseo on the list; he’s the main one I wanted and voted for. I’ll be picking him up if I can when he comes out.

I’m tempted by Ryuzo too; he was another I voted for and I think he’d look so good in the Milk Tea resin!

Soseo is one of my grails. I always wanted him in mocha, but I certainly dont want to miss on this opportunity. I just hope it wont be a raffle sale, I have bad luck with those.

 

This may have been mentioned already, but Switch rose white resin is a decent match for Volks pure skin white.

 

I ordered Taerin!! I was going to get a Shiho but .. Taerins face was looking at me on the website..! I hope I won't change my mind back, so far I haven't tho! Currently Taerin is going to get a girl body, with green witchy clothes from rRabit shop.
I need to figure out a name!

Don't know if anyone wanted any of these sculpts but FaithZ is offering Dojin, Ajeong closer version and Huisa Direction on preorder for Dollvie 2019. The deadline for ordering these heads with them is 28/3. They offer layaway too

 

Guys, I'm in a big of a dilemma.
A few months ago I got a Soseo with the old Volks-yellow color, and Damhyeon head only in the new normal skin.
Here's a pic of the two heads side by side...

The two tones are completely different! Which is fine, but now I'm wondering which body to get for my Damhyeon.
Has anyone done a comparison shoot for the current Luts real skin and Switch skin, in normal?
I'm really liking the looks of the new Senior65 body, and I know it's pretty pink, so I'm hoping it's a good match.
Any help would be appreciated!

 

I have LUTS body for my Ryuzo and the match is pretty spot on. He's out right now for a faceup, but I can try to take some photos when he returns. The proportions are really nice, too! I have other Switch heads but they aren't as recent as Damhyeon. Perhaps I could use one to get some comparisons for you? Would you be interested? ^^

Edit; I have a Haseo from 2017 in NS. He's probably the most recent Switch boy I own atm.

What sized shoes would you recommend for the attractive humming body?
Website says that the feet are 8,3 cm, so would shoes that have 8,5 cm inner length be too small?

I want to order few pairs of sneakers from Alices Collection, but can't figure out the size.

 

I have some shoes that are 8.5 inner and they seem to fit just fine!
I also have some boots and those seem to be a little hard to get on but still fit fine once they're on!

When you're buying shoes, check the width if you can!
Several shoes I purchased in the past had great inner measurements, but the width was too small so I could barely get them onto my boy's foot...

I've been spoiling my boy and ordered a bunch of clothing from AC last December and will order some more from Luts in couple of days It feels so nice to own bigger sd boy, since I've always had girl dolls only.
Here you can see a picture of him ^_^ He is a hybrid, Ihavedoll Tune head on a Switch body.

I haven't forgotten about you. On further inspection, my Haseo (2017) is slightly darker than my 2016 Luts body. The match was difficult to capture in photos but I tried. I think it wouldn't be noticeable with a faceup, imo. I'll get back to you on that when my Ryuzo returns.

I can't readily provide the reference since what I've found is someone else's photo, but as far as I know Switch rosy white and Luts white skin are good match. Switch rosy white would have little more pink in it though.

 

Last year I bought a Javi on a customhouse body and I've had him for a few days shy of a month. I know he's an older sculpt, but if anyone else has a Javi please share! I fell in love with this boy at first sight. And I'm going to miss him while he's off at the spa (hopefully sometime this month!)

I'm a brand new SWITCH owner (just got my first head) and it seemed pretty hefty when I got it out the box. So my question is, how much does an entire doll weight? I found a thread throwing estimates around but it was several years old and different companies use different resin so I'm really curious how much weight I'll be lugging around

Also what size clothes do they use? What SD size are they?

 

@tohoz congrats!! Which sculpt did you get??? XD I'm quickly becoming obsessed with switch dolls after getting Jaxie home. He's on a customhouse boy body (he's an old boy) which is the SD/SD13 for clothing. He's pretty hefty but not too bad I don't think. So it depends on what body you want to put your head on. I see a lot of owners using 65cm bodies and some have mentioned that they wear SD17 size.

 

Hi @tohoz glad to have you here! Some days ago I received a Switch doll and according with the box, the weight was 4.17 kg. It can be a bit less if we consider the box weight. It will depend too on which body you choose for your head. Some of them can be put on smaller bodies (60-62 cm), and others can fit 65-70 cm bodies.

Clothes will also depend on the size of the body you choose. For example, my Waseon is on the Switch Attractive body, while my Damhyeon and Ajeong Closer ver are on a Switch Humming 65 cm body. Both bodies (Attractive and Humming 65)have some differences in the sculpture, but the main difference is on the feet. Attractive body has larger feet in comparison with Humming 65 cm body. Despite this detail, both bodies can use SD17 clothes, as Zavrinas already said. However, if you choose Switch Humming dolly 60 cm body, you should be fine using SD13 clothes on him. And if you want to hybrid him with a 70 cm body, you can purchase clothes on Taobao under the "uncle" size, or just clothes for 70 cm bodies.

I got Sohwa in Mocha Brown! Was lucky enough to win the raffle after I found myself obsessed with the hue of the resin from their promotional pictures (it's so gorgeous irl too!). And I guess I wasn't clear enough, sorry about that, I'm going to get him a matching switch body, thankfully I like the look of the HD because they have no resin matches as far as I've researched .

 

Oh okay 4.17kg isn't too bad! And I wasn't clear enough but I'm going to put him on a matching switch HD 65 body ! But thank you so much for the detailed answer! I'm so lost in the clothes sizes when they stop using cm and start using the SD sizes. I didn't even know they call it uncle for 70cm, I thought that was SD17, so the more you know .

 

@tohoz Some sellers on Taobao call it "uncle" but other stores just put that size under "70 cm size clothes", can be confusing sometimes!
It's a pity, but Switch doesn't have 70 cm bodies yet and I would love to have that option... or jointed hands! I think I suggested that on one of the surveys they had last year.

@Hisomu Yeah it seems like every size bracket has two names but thankfully there's this entire forum here to help newbies like me which I'm super grateful for.
And there's going to be a 70cm body released from SWITCH this year! That size seems a little daunting to me for now, but then again the 65 body is more than 1/3rd of my height already .

Hey huys, My Aprilstory16 bod yellowed CONSIDERABLY this past year (kept out of direct sunlight like WHAT) compared to the non yellowed Seolrok 12' head I have. He looks so weird. Needs a new body for sure, but I can't find anything I like within my budget (under 400$). Any suggestions? I am terribad at resin researching. I get so frustrated! No two photos look the same and no one answers questions in the forum here.

@xkelpiex Well, 2012's Switch resin tones are a bit on the yellower or creamer side instead of the pink subtone of the recent batches. You can try to hybrid him with a Doll Family H 65 cm body, in Normal Yellow. You can buy it on Alice Collections and ask them to match the body with Switch color, but I think that works just for the recent batches. Anyways, you can write an email to see if they can do resin match for Switch 2012 resin. I think they don't ask any extra for that service.

I have a 2012 Taeheo on a Popodoll 68 body in NS. It works fine for me!

Btw, Switch announced the release of Waseon on Milktea Rose color. Orders will open on February 7th! Is someone here going to buy him?

 

I really like how the Milktea Rose color looks. It's such a nice shade (not too light and not too dark) and just what I've been wanting for one of my guys! I already have Waseon, so I will wait for Ryuzo.

I was looking in hybridizing my two switch heads I got recently. they're both in rosy white. However, I've been researching trying to find resin matches for their RW to no avail. Even in the switch resin comparison thread people have said there is little to no information regarding successful hybridizations of switch heads in rosy white. I apologize if it is somewhere and I somehow missed it. but I've been searching for the past two months I've been waiting for their arrival.

 

They said they’re releasing them roughly quarterly in order of the survey results.

Here’s what they said their plan was:
Waseon - First Quarter 2019
Soseo - Third Quarter 2019
Doha/Ryuzo - Fourth Quarter 2019

But that’s as detailed as they were. They just announced a more specific date for Waseon a few days ago (2/7-2/11 Korea Time).

 

thank you yeah I saw later on their site about it, Thankfully Soseo is still months off, that is good! I most likely will get him as a full doll around that point and I have time to save~
