Hybrids SWITCH (formerly So-Nyeon-Gi/4D) resin matches and body proportions

Wow! I was just about to post one of these myself! LOL

I have a WS Javi head, and I can tell you that, while the proportions are pretty good on a DoT boy body, the resin color is way off. The only other resin I have is Elfdoll, and that's out of the question.

Since I'm trying to make my Javi head into a girl, I'm running into another problem: neck circumference. The neck hole is way too big for almost all female necks. The only possible exceptions I've seen are Volks SD13 girl body and B&G girl body. I'm really hoping I can find a thick-necked girl body that matches Volks Snow Skin cause I really don't want to go through the hassle of an FCS split to get the body I think might work, so anybody that has any alternatives, please do share!

 

I don't have any pictures right now, but my NS Javi head matches perfectly with my senior delf girl's resin color.

Edit: Also, it's a close match to my NS Fdoll body.

 

This may not help in terms of cheap bodies but I'm pretty sure I read somewhere that So-Nyeon-Gi (can I just abbreviate this to SNG?) boys actually have a brighter shade of resin color than Volks Pureskin. Let me dig up that Javi Waiting Room...

I mean 4D and SNG both indicate that SD10 is a choice body for the heads and a lot of people do put them on SD bodies so it shouldn't be a big problem, but just fyi ^^;.

There was a bunch of resin-matching info in that Javi thread...also, supposedly it's a perfect match to Senior Delf NS (Kiomi beat me to it XD) but I thought SDF NS is yellower than Volks...*confused*

I don't know anything about the BW, unfortunately. SNG's official photos often have their BW heads on Delf BW, so if they match then the cheap alternative would of course be B&G white or Fantasy-Doll white, etc. ^^

And 4D's release info on Hyul indicated that the skin color standard of SNG heads are match to Volks Pureskin/Beauty White, apparently:

From the photos provided on the artist site, it looks like Hypermaniac was the best match, though the lighting of the photo puts that into question. I'm also struglling to find a body for the head. After I removed it fomer face-up I compared it to my somewhat pale school A due to overall sanding) His colour is yellower and much paler. So VOLKS body will not be a match at all.

Does anyone know if some of the less known company's body will match?

 

I would like to add,
Volks UV Pureskin is a good match but it HAS to be UV Protect Pureskin.
Regular Pureskin is a darker color and much more yellow compared to So-Nyeon-Gi.

The UV pureskin will show up a slightly yellower in pictures w/ flash
but in person and in natural light I think it really matches pretty well.

Right now mine is sharing an SD10 body w/ my Hyul SH. I haven't decided for sure what I want to get for him.
The proportions of the SD10 are nice for the Hyul bit I'm not sure how they're working for the Javi. (Hyul's head is smaller than Javi's)
I wouldn't say it looks bad, maybe just a little immature.

I would love to see a Javi on a Serendipity body (because I like the shorter height and just slightly more mature look compared to the sd10).

 

I have a Hyul head that I tried on every body I own and the only one that really had a perfect fit and resin match was the Senior Delf girl body--a bit of a shame, as I'd gotten the head intending it as a boy, but Chasan's quite content on her shapely femme bod:







Now, she's NS...I have NO idea about snowskin; seems like white's even harder to match than NS. Hope this helps someone a little!

 

Actually, I just flopped my WS Hyul head onto a WS fdoll body yesterday. It seems quite ok and if you squint and stare hard, would you find a hint of difference.

 

Has anyone tried an NS SNG head on an NS Fantasydoll? I have an incoming NS Ryun and I'd like a not-too-tall body for him. Volks is a bit out of my reach right now but I've heard that FDoll NS is a good match for Volks Pureskin.

My contribution to this thread: Dollmore NS is an excellent match for So Nyeon Gi NS resin; This is NS Ryun on a Dollmore Model M body.

The only thing is that the Dollmore Model body seems a bit too gangly and mature for Ryun's youthful features. YMMV.

 

I can say that match is pretty good with Domuya WS.
However, I needed to put 2 care kips on the neck cause the perennial one is really short.

Sadly, I haven't pictures yet, I need to buy a new camera. T_T

 

I don't have pictures, but just from putting heads next to each other I can say that the SNG NS matches Senior Delf well, as well as really old Soom... The body I have from 2006 is a perfect match for my Javi, though I'm not sure if the resin color has changed at all for Soom since then.

I just got my whiteskin SNG Yujin head today, and it is beautiful. I had previously traded for a whiteskin Soom body for him. Unfortunately, the match is less than perfect. Soom has lovely creamy shade to their whiteskin, whereas SNG is truly paper white. From what I have read, Lut's recent whiteskin resin is similar to that, so I may try trading it again for that.

I also have a Fantasydoll body, so I tried the head on that too. That is also more creamy, and also that body is so slender the hole for the neck looks ludicrous on that body. I have a friend with a whiteskin Luts body who I will talk to and see if the match is good there.

 

Minimee NS can be added to the list of matches for SNG NS. I just got a MNM body for Ryun - the resin match is pretty much perfect, and the proportions are good too. Its poseability leaves a lot to be desired though

 

I am so late to this thread... This is NS Javi on a NS FDoll body. The head is slightly paler and pinker in tint than the body. You can see the slight difference in this photo, but it is less noticeable to the naked eye. The proportions are very good, though I believe Javi is a smaller head than Ryun so I don't know if it will suit Ryun as well.

The FDoll poses well except for the arms which are awful. Its nipples are also weird and look as if they've been stuck on. However, its chest has the advantage of being less... tubular than Luts CP Delf and its mid-torso joint is pretty useful. It has pretty legs and thighs. Its hands are crude, however, so I replaced them with Luts CP Delf hands. Delf hands almost match perfectly but are ever-so-slightly darker, just as the SNG head is ever-so-slightly lighter, so... sadly I don't think the Delf body is going to match SNG heads. D: I wish Luts Senior Delf and CP Delf had the same resin! Another thread showed that Senior Delf (realskin) matches SNG perfectly... but the body is too big and manly for the head.

 

Since the SNG heads match well with Luts resin, has anyone thought of using the Junior delf bodies for the smaller heads, such as Javi?? I would like to request some Javi heads on Junior delf bodies. ^ ^

 

I think the biggest problem I find with my Huyl head is that the neck opening is so big it doesn't work with some of the smaller bodies, although they are proportionally right for the head size.

 

I've just bought a WS Uhui:Wish and was wondering about resin matches as well. On So-Nyeon-Gi website he's on a Luts Delf BW body and the match seems ok for me, but I can't say if they've been photoshopped for that effect, or if they really match... >_<'
When he gets here I will compare him to Luts, Crobidoll, Iplehouse, and Soom WSs... even though F-doll seemed like quite a good match for me. o.o/

 

I would also like to know what bodies the WS match, since my Ryun will be shipped in a weeks time, so I'll be waiting on your comparisons Abel

 

I'd like to know if Dollstown oriental skin will match sng normal skin (because it also matches with Volks Pureskin as well) and if Demon Garden, don't know which skin, will match too.?

 

I have a Hyul from the latest release, and he matches well with the recent Luts BW. It's a mild off-white with a creamy/yellow undertone, unfortunately not quite the same as Volks' more pink WS undertone, but it's not too bad if you overlook the slight skintone differences.

 

I'll try to take a photo of this, because I have Seola in Oriental skin and Huyl in normal. I think I had a look at it before and found the DT body was a little more yellow, but it was close enough. The only thing to consider would be the neck size, as I mentioned before.

 

Um, bump? ^^" Has everyone found a match to their NS head? If so, please post some photos and/or reviews. I will be looking for a body for Uhui, preferably cheap...
E.g. does anyone know if Demon Garden body is a good match? Both in resin and size?

Because I've looked, and their bodies are far too expensive for my wallet, unfortunately And I will only be able to compare the head with Glorydoll's resin - whose body is out of the question - and DIM; this one might actually work, unless their minimee stock sale ends soon...

Specifically, I've looked at msdoll gay body (wonder where the naming idea came from...), since it's cheaper than most bodies that can pose so well, and looks just fine :3 I'm worried it might be too pinkish though... Any opinions on that matter? ^^"

 

I was about to suggest Demongarden but thought it wouldn't match Javi. But since it's Uhui you're getting, I think it might work. There's also the AOD Y-normal body, though I don't vouch for the proportions.

I have a realskin sdf boy body, the Ryun head I have looks proportionally good on it. Or so I think anyway And they are expensive, true, but I really like them.
I too think it would probably look a bit too old for the small SNG heads, since the body is mature looking. Or maybe the type 3 body would look good? But since the heads are smaller I guess the junior delf or something would be better? I have no idea.. ;_;

 

It probably depends on which head you own ^_^ like ahyu said, junior delf could be ok for javi, since he has the youngest features of all SNG heads. Here the only problem is, I've never seen LUTS sell junior body separately... More mature bodies would probably suit Ryun and Yujin. Delf is, imho, ideal for Uhui It's not as tall, and has little muscles. DG is very similar in bulit, but much cheaper so this will most probably be my choice...
You should take a look at SNG's website and find the photos of their heads on delf body. It could also be a reference for resin match, because I have a feeling that something's off in 4D promo images of WS Uhui, or it's the make-up's fault. Don't know which skin you're looking for ^^"

 

Just confirming that the recent LUTS NS resin tone is not a good match for NS SNG heads. The resin is now a more peachier tone than it was a couple of years ago when it was a very yellow color that would have been a good match for Volks resin. I know that much because I remember that my Kid delf ordered around that time was very yellow-y (one of my reasons I sold her long ago ). I also have a recent LUTS WS doll and can confirm that it is a pinky white that should match SNG WS if it matches Volks WS as it says on Vier4D.

 

Hum.. Looks very nice. I wonder if their Normal skin matches SNG / Volks?

Found out that Little Monica NS does not match SNG NS, as it is far too pink and a bit more pale.

Not the best photo comparison, but here's Javi next to my LUTS Real Skin Kid-delf Cherry:

In person, there isn't much of a difference. SNG resign is slightly more pale than LUTS real skin. Planning on posting a better resign comparison photo once I find time

 

I don't have an excellent picture at the moment, but the SNG NS matches the new Distant Memory body beautifully! You can sort of see here. Ignore the Woosoo. Of course, it's a 65cm body, so it's really only suitable for the larger heads. My Javi looked ridiculous on it!

Does anyone know if a Uhui head will look proportionally good on a Luts Senior Delf body? On the 4D site they had Uhui on a Luts Delf boy body. I know the resin color should be okay though...well, it better be a close match =_= .

 

Since there will be incoming Milhwa and Ajeong heads in a few weeks, I thought I'd revive this thread.

SNG lists their head sizes at 8.7", so will the bodies that suited Javi and Hyul work with them?

 

Is it just me or is SNG's new NS resin different from their previous NS?
This is NS Milhwa on my Ryun's Minimee body and NS Ryun next to him.



Although the match to Minimee looks OK in this photo, in RL the new SNG is slightly less yellow.

ensei, I have an old AOD NS girl body (i think the old NS is closer to their current NS Yellow) and it is not a match with SNG. I'm not sure about pink.

I tried my Milhwa head on a Crobidoll Dreaming Doll Body and the proportions + resin match is not bad!




The body, again, is slightly pinker than the head.
You might be able to see the difference in the pics above, but in real it looks almost perfect.
I'm thinking faceup would help as the head would get blushed.

What do you guys think? ^^

 

Well the resin match is not good with Dollfamily dolls ^^; Sorry that's a pretty bad contribution, I have a DBDoll body, and a kid delf to try my head on still *kid delfs are the same resin as SDelfs?* The resin seem a pretty fair match with the Senior Delf head I have from 09.

It doesn't look good with Leekeworld either. Leekeworld NS is a creamy white colour and SNG NS is far more yellow. They actually look quite odd next to each other haha. I don't have any pics yet but I'll see if I can take some later this week. If anyone has any pics of an SNG head with the newer Senior Delf resin that would be really appreciated!!

In that note, does someone have a Junior Delf body and a Hahwa in the same house that could take a picture of those two together? Or any of the smaller SNG/Switch heads.
I'm looking for both resin match and a full body picture to see if the head looks any good on a body of that size. =D Apparently there is one Uhui on a junior delf, but there only seems to be one picture of it, and it's fully clothed so I can't tell anything from it really.

I have an older second hand Senior Delf body on my Ryun, which then looked a bit too big on Hahwa. =/ So I'm looking for something smaller and lither. So far my options seem to be Junior Delf and Fdoll...

I've been all over the forums trying to find some reference pictures for proportionate resin match bodies for the smaller SNG/Switch heads. My head is spinning...! @_@

Just a reference to help out LimeDragon. My Shino has been on a NS Delf body since he's arrived, and their is a very big resin difference (if you're picky). It is not as noticeable when I take photos because of his faceup. The Switch Resin is more paler and a little more yellow than the delf body. The proportion of the delf body is very good, almost perfect, for him (might add a full body photo). The neck hole is a firm fit too, but I had to order a brand new NS donut to secure the head. The resin color of the donut is actually a perfect match BTW, (i will update with that photo, too). But, please make your own judgement on my current photos.

How about a Hahwa on Infiniti? It might be some time though before I can get to meet with my friend who has an Infiniti boy. I can do Hahwa/Vian on Volks SD17 and Luts Real Skin Normal (but a girl body!), too.

Basically, I think heads released when Switch was SNG match Delf NS and WS (except Milhwa), but the Switch heads released match Volks.

 

I didn't manage to actually put my Hahwa on the Infiniti body (no pulling tools available!), but I did take a comparison.


Infiniti hand, Switch head, Volks neck.

He's on a Volks SD13 from 2006, with very mild yellowing. Switch is slightly lighter, but it's a near-perfect match to my 2010 Volks SD17. Early 2011 Infinitidoll NS is a tad pinker than Switch, but it's still a close match. However, I heard that Infiniti resin has turned even more pink this year?

April 2010 Shino on an SD13 Volks pureskin body ... perfect match. He's cuddling up to an Esthy/Distant Memory Rad, from the first issue. The Esthy body resin is slightly fairer and slightly pinker than the Shino resin, even without the blushing. In this picture, go by the neck on the Rad ... that's truer (the chest catches the evening light more). It's not a horrible match. I adore the Esthy/Distant Memory body (wonderful posing though fiddly), but it will give a more mature look, which I didn't want for my Shino.

I also tried the Shino on a NS Demon Garden body. The match is not horrible, but the Shino's head is a bit large, thus oddly proportioned with the DG body.




My Javi (final release ... Forget Me Not) is a smaller head, here on an SD10 Volks body, pureskin. Not a perfect match, but I'm kind of picky about matches and this doesn't bother me overly. The Javi's resin is slighly fairer (also fairer to the older Shino), but the difference is easily managed with faceup. This is SWITCH's "Gentle Brown" faceup ... little of the face isn't blushed orange ... but the forehead is clean and offers the best comparison.




The proportions with the SD10 body are very nice if want a younger look. The biggest problem with this pairing is that the neck opening on the head is considerably bigger than the SD10 neck. However, the head looks perchy on an SD13 body.

I recently tried this Javi on a Demon Garden NS body. Nearly perfect match and the leaner proportions of this body give the Javi a more mature look without creating a ridiculous age discrepancy between head and body. Neck hole/neck fits nicely, good mobility.

Also, this newer resin is a very good match with the Esthy/Distant Memory body (that's the Rad's hand on the Javi's shoulder).

 

Does anyone know if a NS SSDF body would be a nice match -proportions and color wise- for a NS Switch head?

 

I have my Ryun head on an SDF body and the resin match is quite good... but the NS color has shifted slightly and my Milhwa head doesn't match the body quite as well. It's barely noticeable though.

Not sure about SSDF proportions, but I've put Ryun on a 70cm Dollmore Model Doll M body and it just... didn't look right. Ryun is one of the larger SnG heads too. Milhwa looked positively pinheaded on the Model Doll body.XD

 

Thanks a lot for your reply!! I was thinking, what about a Popodoll68 then? I thought proportion wise it should work because Popo's dolls are 8-9 and Soseo (the doll I want the body for) is 9 and the body seems quite 'slim'. Do you think it can work? Because now I'm not so sure

 

I got my Hahwa and asked propertyoftheuchiha to do his face. I was undecided at that time if I would give him a volks sdgr or a volks sd17 body. propertyoftheuchiha was so kind that she took pictures of my boy's head on her boys' body:

Hahwa and Milhwa are smaller heads, so the SD17 neck looks rather thick at certain angles. You can hide it with artfully arranged hair.

Has anyone tried a Dollzone 1/3 body? The body looks really nice and seems to be rather pale, which I think is a good thing since so many people have been saying that Switch's resin is paler than a lot of other resins. Also, for some reason, I like slim bodies on BJDs

 

I second xloversxx. I'm looking for a 65cm body for my incoming Soseo, and I'm liking Dollzone's 65cm.

 

Yujin on SD16 body



As you can see, Yujin's neck hole doesn't fit well with the SD16 body....like, at all. The propotion's rather good in my opinion.

Shino on SD16 body



Again, I find the propotion to be good, but I guess it could look pin headed to some people. It's a pretty good match if you're looking for mature/realistic propotion.

I had Ryun on Dollmore Model M body (70cm) and it suited him quite well sizewise - personalitywise not so much, so he's now on a 62.5cm Senior Delf body.

Switch head sizes vary between 8.5" and 9.5" though, so what might suit one head might not suit a narrower one. I didn't think the Milhwa head looked good on the Dollmore body; YMMV. BTW the neck was a good fit for both heads.

 

That's bad, because I was thinking a SSDF for a Soseo or Milhwa... But then I guess I'll have to give it a try -whenever I feel like buying those heads, if I ever do UXD- and see by myself. It's because I don't really like 'short' dollies... I'll see...

 

I have my Javi head on the Spiritdoll Elegance body but I also have the chance to compare it with the SDGR body for interested people ^^





I think Javi suits the Spiritdoll Elegance well. I think his head a bit darker than the body, but it's not very noticeable and the neckhole is slightly smaller.
