He's really pretty but I think I'll pass for now.

The company is also conducting a survey, they want to know what sculpts we'd like re-released, what body parts we'd like them to make, etc. Here's the link (I don't know which sculpts I want the most ).

Is your boy on a Doll Chateau body?

 

yes, but the body was modified

 

If you don't mind explaining, what did you modify? And which DC body is it? I really like the combo.

 

We made it shorter.

Wow, he looks amazing! Your modification allows the fullness of a Switch face to match so well with the angularity of a DC body; the pose of him leaning against the wall really shows off what a great bodyline you've created. The photography is fantastic as well.

What tools did you use to cut through the resin in the legs? I’ve been thinking of modifying a body in a similar way

I did not do this modification. (I did the wig and the faceup)
I asked for the Legend to make it. I just showed what I want to do.

My Ajeong Closer arrived yesterday and I tried on a Dollstown 15 body (oriental skin, 2017). I doesnt seem to look bad. ^^

@LucentSanctuary Is the body slightly more of a pink color to the yellow of the head? That's how it's looking on my monitor, so I wanted to double check. Otherwise the proportions and everything look amazing.

 

the boy is very slightly pinker or more opaque looking than the head, yes. ^^

 

My Siesta hands with official blushing will be shipped tomorrow from FaithZ. Did anyone else get them? I feel like optional parts and clothes are something I always look forward to when it comes to Switch, they're so lovely. Partially hoping for it to be something I want, yet partially not because oof my wallet.. At least the quality has never dissappointed.

 

Are there other Switch dealers that ship outside of Korea besides Dolk and Faith-Z?
I'm in a desperate need of Soseo and I'd like to have a list to keep checking on release info.
I'm guessing since he was released April this year I won't see him for a while...
Any tips would be appreciated!

I loove the Popodoll68 - thin thighs and legs
less difined muscles
and Aprilstory is lovely, too. (although I have to restring the AS 2..bit too loose)
and more muscles

match is nearly perfect!! Soseo is from 2012 body from 2016/17
and Milhwa is from 2014, popodoll from 2017/18

Does anyone know if switch ever re-release a line of dolls? I'm kinda sad, cause mocha Waseon was released before I was ever even in the hobby. I was hoping I'd be able to buy him one day.

 

They dont re-release the heads anymore unless they got some event or anniversary from what i remember. But mocha switch are even more limited.

I love the way the switch boy bodies look, especially the 60cm body, but when I watched reviews of the switch boy bodies, they didn’t seem to pose very well. The thing I noticed most was that the head, knee, ankles, and hands have the most trouble. Are there simple mods you can do to fix these things, or is it just what it is and you have to settle? In that case what bodies would have a similar aesthetic and size, but with better posing?

My Sohwa arrived!! He doesn't have a body (or a name) yet but I stuck him on one of my Crobidoll bodies for some photos. (more here and here, bonus) I absolutely love this face-up. The area around his eyes doesn't look as blue as the preview photos on Dolk looked, which I'd been a little worried about. Just need a body and some nice 14mm eyes~~

I'm not planning to keep him on a Crobi body so it doesn't really matter to me but it seems like his skin is a bit pinker compared to the body. It's easily hidden with filters, though.

 

Is anyone going after the new Seolrok? I'm so torn about him. ;w;

 

Does anyone here know how Switch's white skin resin ages over time? Like dies it take on a creamy or a green color?

 

It's not very old but I have a 2015 white skin Shiho head and HD57 body, and they certainly aren't green whatsoever. "Greening" only ever happened to one particular and old Luts line that was quickly discontinued. SWITCH has no history of resin color issues.
The head and body are only slightly creamier than when they arrived and I don't think it would be noticeable to anyone but me since I remember how they looked initially (and they were secondhand). I would definitely recommend SWITCH if you're thinking if buying a head or body!

 

@ker246 Thank you so much for the answer and the clarification! I agree, Switch does such an amazing job with their sculpts the bodies are built very beautifully as well! I am about to buy a head, my only issue was which skin tone to choose since I have never considered getting a doll in any skin tone besides normal until now!

 

That's exciting you're looking for a new head! In addition to Shiho, I have a normal skin Yiho and although his resin is a beautiful color, I think do prefer white skin for heads (still prefer normal for bodies) because you can always blush a light head darker, but not the opposite haha

 

Ohh that's really clever, I hadn't thought of that before! I'm a new bjd owner so I'll keep that tidbit in mind for future reference!

Does anyone here have a skin comparison of Switch's pale white and rosy white skins by chance?

I hope a pale white owner can answer in the thread if it looks bluish in person, because I can't tell if it's actually just "paper white" and the blue tones are from photoshop... As for rosy white, I predict that the extra pink pigments will greatly help offset the look of eventual yellowing over time.

 

I personally think he's very cute. He looks so beautiful and melancholy. The half closed eyes make him look really unique and thoughtful.
I recently got a Seolrok: Holy Ver., and I would get the new Somnia one too if I could afford it.

I've heard the new rosy white is a really close match to Luts' normal skin if that helps!

I recently received my Seolrok Holy (with 65cm Attractive body) in Rosy White, and for those wondering, in person his resin looks surprisingly on the yellowish side; basically like a paled out normal color with a slightly pinkish "afterglow". It surprised me abit, as I was expecting more of a pale-white pink.

 

Interesting, because to me the resin does look like a very pale pink in person.

 

It might just be my lack of experience (he is my first bjd) or even a subtle difference in resin batch maybe. After spending some time with him, he definitely has a pale peachy/apricot hue, that to me just seems different than what my mind had initially imagined up as "Rosy White".

 

Differences in lighting probably also plays a key, and I think at the time I was comparing him to another head, which was a normal yellow color.

@rinssoul Sheolrok not bad on Dollstown 15 years body, but Spirit doll elegance may be too thin for him.

@Milo I love your Seowo, he looks so cool! But my favorite from you is your Sohwa T_T! He's just too gorgeous. Your Sohwa made me buy one for me.

The September, re-release : SOHWA in mocha brown is really stunning! I'm hesitant of tan dolls due to gate marks, but Switch uses such a glorious shade of brown he is such a temptation anyway. Anyone trying for him?

I haven't shared my Kei (Soseo) in a long time, so here is an updated photo of him.

My friend said that 70cm body of spirit doll can fit soseo head very well, cause soseo head is the biggest one ))

Even though I already have a Mocha Sohwa, I'm really excited for more! I have to tell myself I really don't need another. I hope to see more around; there weren't many that popped up after his first release.
