Eyes SOULinaBOXdolls Urethanes

I have two pairs and I'm currently ordering a custom made pair They're absolutely gorgeous and so far the only pair of eyes with some actual texture in it - most are just painted/printed onto a flat or round hollowed out iris, but there are really textured. I have several pairs from Masterpiece (acrylic and silicone), MehiArt, Makoeyes, Eyeco and Enchanted, and Soulinabox is, hands down, the most realistic. They also fit really well into any kind of eye sockets, because they have a low dome profile

I have a pair in turkish coffee. They compete with Dollshe urethanes. They are that beautiful. I don't have any pics yet, but I will make some and update this post.

I'm really in love with the pattern and the color! I also got a pair of 10mm Chameleon that is really lovely, but unfortunately a bit too small for the IH Rebecca I intended them for.

 

I hope it's cool if I give this thread a little bump. It might be a long shot but I'm hoping to find owner photos of glacier and chocolate noir, but honestly I'd love to see more photos of any of these gorgeous eyes.

I really love the color. Have some small bubbles, but they aren't easily perceived.
Someday, when the doll arrives (I have been waiting for her eight months... sigh ) I'll repeat the photos.

@AntarelNefertili have you tried getting shots with a macro lens (if you have one)? I was thinking of getting mine out to see about capturing the thin touches of tawny in Des and Az's eyes

My LutsWinterEvent2015, Eugene, is currently wearing 16mm normal iris in Turkish Coffee!

 

I have 3 pairs -- Valhalla, Film Noir and a brown that I'm guessing is treasure box (it was a gift with my order). All are 14mm with small iris. The eyes are really beautiful, though I only have good photos of Valhalla at the moment:

Do these eyes do the tracking thing? It was mentioned that they're low dome, so I suspect not, but in some of the photos...

For the most part, I would say yes, they track. Whether or not eyes track in pictures, etc., is more of a function of how the pupil is made rather than the height of the dome

Kryptonite is a really intense and unnatural green (as the name probably implies lol) but I love the color.

Unfortunately, size 12mm eyes are gappy in my Pygmalion boy in the "eyeball too small" way, but then these in 14mm are gappy in the "arc of the eyeball doesn't quite match" way.

I'd love to see more photos of the various browns, should anyone have those and feel up to some picture-getting.

They're definitely a little unnatural-looking, especially against darker resins.

I'm in love with SoulinaBox eyes! Here are Rei and Diana with Albino (14mm small iris) and Mediterra (14mm small iris) respectively!

 

Did a bigger order recently for their buy 5 get 20% off sale and took the chance to make a picture of all the Siab eyes I have here
Most noticeable - the old bubblegum pair I got back in 2017 together with the treasure chest pair yellowed a LOT, while treasure chest itself stayed as it is. I got bubblegum for free, maybe it was a b-grad pair? no idea.

 

Those are absolutely gorgeous. There's so much depth to them.

I ordered Turkish Coffee and Chocolate Noir back in November. The bubblegum one is interesting. Was it really pink before?

I do, but the clear shot I have on hand of them is lit a little weird (teal lighting) and I can't make any promises about when I'll be able to get a good clear daylight shot of them

They're super golden-yellow irl, and I was a little wary of how they'd look when they were sitting in the box, but they're actually not that jarringly unnatural looking in.

 

I do, but I have no photos at the moment. I'd describe them as a very nice "golden" color, not quite as dark as I tend to think of honey as being, but definitely similar in tone. I'll try to remember to share a pic when I finish that girl's faceup!

turned out to be sooner rather than later (my hand didn't go completely numb form the cortisone shot this time, yay?) but it's rainy, so I had to use my daylight lamps to get enough light for the shots

 

@Girrl I greatly appreciate these photos, they definitely are a beautiful colour!

 

My gf and I just put in a new order for Yovanka's lovely eyes (received shipping notice and tracking for my Dika Doll boy from Clover Singing, didn't expect him so fast), so we figured we'd best order the eyes we'll need. My boy will be here before the eyes, but that's okay.

I'll post pictures once they arrive!

 

Received my pairs this week! I have Aegean Blue, Chocolate Noir, and Turkish coffee. I also got one of her B grade packs which came in a variety of sizes and colors. Maybe I will do a doll with heterochromia in the future? They're extremely pretty and they look just as nice as the photos. My in-stock order shipped 10x faster so I'll probably try to do that more in the future rather than preorder.

 

Ooo I'd love to see pics if you're able to, @poisonapple88! I think a pair of Aegean Blue are in my future, but it might be several months before I do another order.

 

I only have my cell phone camera but I tried to show off the blue at least!

I've been playing with eyes over the past few days and out of all the ones I have the SoulInABox ones are by far my favorite. Probably going to order another 3 pairs to make some adjustments here and there on my dolls.

These are 16mm Aegean Blue. Really pretty but he needs 14mm and an icier blue!

I actually am seeing all my pictures in the posts you tagged? There's just one missing (the last one) in the first post of mine, which I'll edit. The whole post actually has all pictures intact

 

They might be saved in your cache - I've linked this thread to two other people (members, but different parts of the country and using different internet providers) and they say most of the images are broken for them as well.



Not all - just most.

 

I've added links to the posts and re-linked the photos themselves, but I wanted to clarify that my photos were from deviantart (2 of them), and Instagram (1 of them), so I'm not sure why they're not showing up. Could this be a doa issue rather than an image issue itself?

 

Same here, none of the photos in this tread, including mine, are showing up as broken for me.

 

I've roughly checked the pictures in this thread - most are already from flickr, a few from lifejournal and tumblr. I've cleared my cache, and they're still here, so it seems really lika a doa issue?

 

Same here, my photos are showing up. I tried on another pc and even on my tablet, and I can see them.

Hi, I do not have new pictures for you, sorry, but something important I thought you would like to know about soulinabox urethane eyes:
I got my eyes in Sept. 2018 and they have been stored in a closed plastic container inside a closed cupboard. They have never been worn by a doll yet or been left lying outside. I live in a mid european climate, not in a zone of extreme heat or humidity. I took the eyes out yesterday and of the three pairs I got, two have yellowed noticably and it is uneven. The whites of the eyes look like from a person with a liver disease. The third pair has yellowed mildly. All resin yellows, but after 1 1/2 years of being kept out of any light whatsoever, this is somewhat disappointing. I am not getting any more.

And btw, yes, I'm afraid the photo issue you all noticed is a DoA only issue, it's been up on the notice board for months now - so don't worry, you're alright.^^

 

@Mandagore Thank you for the info, I'll have to watch out to see how my eyes age.
