Same I saw him and thought he looked soo nice but I’m not really in a place to buy any dolls for a long time after my hyperon is paid off. So I hope that I get to see many Tristan’s in the community!

 

In such a sad case. The order period for Topaz ended on the 10th and I realised last night I needed a Topaz for my character Jane.

Anyone know why Lazule is so rare? He was the base for a long time.

 

I recently bought a Lazule head! Perhaps people just forget to post pictices of their older dolls.

To anyone who owns a violet Migma, what are your thoughts on purple lips vs red lips for her? I just bought a Migma on the Marketplace, and I would like to get her a faceup with either deep red or deep purple lips, but I don't know which would work better with the color the violet resin has faded to. (I'm assuming it has to be faded at least somewhat since the doll is quite old)

 

It depends! I have a light violet Arkose who is still lovely light violet! He has nver had a face up and I am planning purple tones for him. When you get Migma, you will be able to decide.

 

Honestly, I think either would look great - it's really just about your personal vision for her. ^_^ I was surprised how many different color wigs my girl looked good in!
It's hard to say how the color has changed on my violet dolls, but maybe a bit less pink/more blue overall? They haven't been exposed to the sun at all.

 

No sign of Chalco lt. violet. Korea Post says he made it to Kennedy airport on the 13th, but USPS has no tracking at all.
Good grief. I put in a missing package report.

 

I find that USPS doesn't admit that a package has landed in the US until they figure they can deliver it in a reasonable time. They probably figure the delay will be blamed on the sending company! Today is a holiday so he may show up tomorrow.

 

Yeah! I totally agree with @nancy_schroeder_ca. One time my tracking stopped completely for a week, then in one day boom tracking pops up with in and out of Chicago, in and out of Houston and out for delivery.

 

almost 100% of the time, the sorting facility outside NY scans international packages in. usps works 7 days a week.
I expect an express mail package to be scanned at least once after hitting the ground at JFK.
packages that come into NY are very quick to travel down the east coast corridor.

 

I haven't seen that with packages that come through New York to the west coast. I have had packages sit in New York so long that they drop off email notifcatios and that is four weeks!

The tracking system was down a couple of days ago. Maybe that's had an effect.

@nancy_schroeder_ca - the missing package report found my wayward guy at the wrong sorting station. he's back on track. no idea just when he'll get here. a few days I guess.
I highly recommend reporting anything after a week. we spend a lot of $$ on shipping.

 

knock knock! my bad boy is home. He is Seokga ( the trickster) so it's no surprise he did a walkabout.
His color is fabulous. Once he gets a light blushing, I'll take some photos to share.

everything about him is subtle. the colors are never going to show on monitors the way they are IRL. This pic is closer to the color than Soom's studio shots.
taken in incidental light. he's basically cream white with an undertone of lilac - neither blue nor pink. his jacket and sash are the same
subtle coloring but a deeper shade.

the resin eyes are like real opals. an amazing fullset!

So it's Lunar zodiac line... does that mean Chinese zodiac? That new boy looks like a rat but this year is a pig. Very interesting... sort of reminds me of the male version of Amber when he was released. . but I'm still praying for a human version instead.

My description of pale violet was faulty if I gave the impression it was like cream white. he's more glow in the dark, changed by alien
powers white. Here's a pic of a cream white hand next to him. The hand has been blushed, so look inside to see the color. Although
a soft white IRL, it looks almost mellow next to Mr. Radioactive. I just hope he keeps his coloring for several years.

If it's lunar zodiac, I can't wait for the dragon!
He does not seem very rat like to me, but I guess fantasy parts could make a huge difference. Those ears look more like bat ears than rat ears.

 

I personally don’t think that Soom will release lunar zodiac by year, it’s toooo long lol. Maybe they will release them every two months? I miss a lot Soom back in 2008-2009(?) for their monthly astrology zodiac dolls.

The light violet is truly gorgeous, thanks for the comparaison photo! Now I can see his color clearly on the contour inner side of his eyes. It’s like a cooler white.

The basic head is nice but I think I'm safe this time.

 

I'm puzzled over which Lunar Zodiac animal he's supposed to be.

He doesn't really scream "horse" or "ox" at me. The tail.... could be a pig tail, if a pig tail wasn't curly (it's certainly a short tail, all the other hooved animals on the lunar zodiac have really long tails), though where the horns come from I don't know. And he doesn't really seem like a dragon, either.

About the lunar zodiac animal...could he be sheep/goat or ox? (Im more with ox) As his hooves remains me of Dia’s hooves which is Taurus and Taurus = ox for me lol

right above the first picture, in weird script it says "Lunar Zodiac" (superimposed over an image of the moon)

 

I think Nancy had nailed it! That was so harlious! Their twitter account did however, mentioned Lunar Zodiac on Feb 22 and later changed to Zordic. Perhaps it was a spelling error in the first place? Reminds me of an incident when my friend ordered chicken with egg plant on rice. And when he got it the food was running with egg yolk. The waitress assured him that's the correct dish and told him, 'the egg is planted on the rice'. We later found out that the menu was a typo. It should actually be egg 'sauce' and not the vegetable egg plant.

 

.... I was so looking forward to a set of lunar zodiac themed dolls.
The thought that it was a typo makes me very, very, very sad.

 

I was confused by that too and wondered if it was just a typo :/ that is sad if it was.

 

I was checking him on my cellphone last night and didn't see the Lunar Zodiac, Reading the text above Lunar Zodiac, I wonder if they are creating their own character.

 

I'm tempted because I've been wanting that Isha body, but the way they resculpted it is kind of weird. The hooves are so pointy.

Not to be overly critical, but there's something about the shade of blue they used to blush him and the lack of color depth, doubled with that gem in his chest that just makes him look like a toy. I really do like his human face though, I hope they either do more of this line or clarify if it's actually going to be a line or not... which I hope it would be. Me wants ram. This doll has a lot of potential outside of Soom's unfortunate design.

 

Yeah.... I actually think the gem in the chest thing is pretty interesting, but I'm going to hold off on buying any more dolls right now. Between the possible Volks Sakura Miku that's been hinted at that might be upcoming, and the chance that if this is actually a lunar zodiac set I'm probably going to want two of the dragon doll.... I don't want to spend money on anything else with those purchases (probably) ahead of me.

I do not totally fall for him, but he has something that I like ...
I'm a fan of Soom from the beginning. It made me want to take my Soom boys in photo.

Ive just got a response from SOOM. The theme is actually Celtic (lunar) animal zodiac and not Chinese zodiac. This Zordic is based on a stag (a deer). SOOM will stick with this theme and release other sizes dolls but not all from the zodiac will be covered.
Wow, this is my first time hearing about celtic zodiac. Must check it out.

** I've checked. When you look at past soom dolls, all there super gems are based on celti animals i.e a Cat, Fox. . . I hope they could release the cat man again with his high heel feet. Does anybody have him? I love to see pictures of him. I hope for a swan release soon.

A better swan release than Odette would definitely be nice. Maybe like Amphibel only softer, more rounded feather parts?

Customers could chose between male or female this time, both heads looks gorgeous but I’m still safe this time.

 

Yeah, I love those horns, and adore the fact that for once both heads have the fantasy ears, so I'm not stuck going "I like the ears but hate the eyes", but I am safe. I'm trying to save up money, and am hoping to bring two kittens home some time this summer. Unless they release something truly special, I don't plan on buying more dolls this year.
