@GreenTeaSlug - Wow, He looks great in that wig! With that expression and those muscles he could cosplay as a superhero or two. Interesting note about the tawny as well. I'm both glad and disappointed I didn't go for him, because on the one hand I definitely don't think he would fit the character I wanted him for now, but on the other, He's probably my favorite ID sculpt so far, and I'd really love to see SOOM do more sculpts in this vein! I kind of wish I'd bought him just to help prove there's a market for them.

 

@GreenTeaSlug - please tell me where I can buy a similar wig like that? Wow! He looks very young and handsome!

The wig I got secondhand, it was a bit expensive but its very high quality, I didnt even have to style it. I only cut back the lace a bit and then used the blur tool

@Sianserais the "problem" with Soom's photography, is that it makes the faces look a lot more plump than they actually are? Im not sure if plump is the correct word. You know that age where the person's facial skin still has that thickness to it? They look older in real life, like they aged a bit and you can see more of the bone structure lol The good thing is, there is a possibility of him rereleased in a different skintone, I think he would look insane in bronze!

@marci12 lol, I originally got him because he reminded me of Carl so much but Im very happy with the way he looks XD
All I can see now is a dark horse type personality. Im going to glue on some jewelry on his ears and give him a wilder hairstyle

I mean, its still in the same family, but it looks like those paint samples with 5 similar colors in one strip lol, Im not complaining though, I really love the light caramel color of this one. I would say it looks like he got one of those really good fake tanning beds instead of being naturally tan (you know, like when the skin glows warm colors from being freshly tanned lol)

He really is gorgeous, but okay...am I ridiculously cheap? I can't get past $191 for a doll's teeny, tiny coat. Seriously? I'm sure it will be sold out in no time flat, but really. I doubt I'd spend that much on a coat for myself...and to me, anyway, it seems kind of...simple.

I am tapped out right now so am very happy the outfit and the doll are a easy pass for me !

@Twisty yeah....they literally just threw him up there, lol. No lead in. I'm passing on all of it though as I want to thin my collection out some right now. I like the coat and the modern look on the traditional hanbok, but for another $200, I could buy a full Dokkebijudan outfit. Which I'd prefer for that price.

 

I love the sculpt! He looks very "Korean" and reminds me of the popular Korean sculpt from a different company - can't remember the name.

 

I'm loving the new guy...a lot ♡ I really want to save for River though (in case I ever found him on the aftermarket or Soom decides to miraculously bless me with a rerelease :'D) First, Switch with their new guy and now this agh T__T

 

I really like Xenos but my money tree is bare.

 

How come they don't include the wig? I think without the wig I won't be sure.
The outfit looks very Korean. A lot of Korean guys wear baggy clean minimal clothes.

 

So does this mean nobody on here will be getting Xenos? What a same. he's such a cute sculpt. Would love to see owner photos of him. I did asked SOOM few months ago to release a Korean sculpt since Korean pop is very popular. So SOOM really do listen to fans request.

I'm actually seriously considering getting him tbh ^^; I currently have a body on layaway, a Japan trip on the way in May and want to have some funds available in case my grail pops up buuut I really like Xenos and can't stop looking at his pictures x'D I keep coming back to him which to me is always a sign that I want him >w<

Plus, even though I personally think his company faceup is already pretty cute (and I'm not usually a fan of Soom's default faceups since they're mostly not my style ^^) I think I'd like him even more with a new custom faceup ♡

I thought about him, but ultimately decided that his facial structure is a little less mature than generally appeals to my preferred aesthetic. I'd love to see owner pics when he starts to come home, though!

 

I just started a new job at a call centre - still in my probation period so I can't buy yet. I think I'm suffering from dementia... there's a Korean sculpt that's very popular and limited in the bjc forum but I can't remember the name - does anybody here know? Anyway, he reminds me of him and I'm sure he would be popular if people on the other group know about Xeros. Personally I think he's a bit too young for my taste. I was hoping for SOOM to remake a Korean actor instead.
I agree the clothes for him is so expensive for just a jacket.

 

Ah, I thought you asked them for Korean pop, and those cute boys are usually quite young. Probably best to squander your suggestions for dolls that you actually want, or they might not take your future requests terribly seriously. Just a thought.

The choices this time will be gray and white, was really hoping for tawny or bronze but Vampire Hyperon looks amazing!

White is also great but I already got the Dhampir version in white.

I love that he has sculpted vampire teeth! I think I want to get a Vampire Hunter D inspired face-up for him since that Dhampir version isn't rolling around again...that'd be so awesome!! Thinking grey Vampire Hunter D could be cool as I have 2 white skin guys already....choices, choices...

 

I'm so excited! I've been wanting this sculpt, especially in grey. But I'll probably have to pass since I'm waiting on another release of Adonis, and they said they're planning one in the second half of 2020.

 

It's so sad to hear Safrin is closing it's door.

Vampire Hyperon. Oh man.

 

Adonis, really; that would be cool. It’d be pretty sweet if they released him with his human head and his unicorn head as an added option on a 75 ID body. Since his first unicorn head was on a 72 ID body.

 

That would pretty much be the ideal situation for me .

 

Well I finally ordered my first Idealian with Hyperon!
I got the vampire outfit as well! I'm super excited to have him! (My wallet isn't too happy, but I'm happy :3)

I just ordered my V.Hyperon! The Dracula-ish outfit looks really awesome, but I decided to skip the outfit this time as I got other character plan for this guy. (And it's already sold out, within 40 min, as always)

 

Congrats @RamenNoodle and @Zhenwu! He's gorgeous! (I would have killed my wallet to go for him in tawny ) Please share pics when he arrives if you can - my favorite vamp sculpt from any company.

 

I'm glad he comes with Vampire and basic head option!!! Too cool. Just getting him without clothes too. I've got Dhampir-ish plans for him, lol.

Update: So, maybe he only comes with Vampire head? I saw the priest outfit and he has the basic head, so I thought it was an option too. But, it's face-up option ...for "basic" head...which is the vampire head?

 

Vampire head only, @marci12 - if he'd come with both heads they wuld have mentioned at the bottom of his page, but that only states "Including: ID75M Vampire Hyperon"

 

Heh, saw that finally. But just Vampire head works too. At least it's cheaper, lol. I think I've wavered back to white skin for him...

 

Im pretty sure they are using Ash in Noon (by the artist R.Dean) eyes for him in the promo pictures, I cant find the comment (was it edited?) but I remember someone asking about it, and the style/metallic/iris design is very similar. That color wasnt in their standard options, but when I ordered from them, they had used eyes on my faceup commission that werent in the catalog (future releases).

@marci12 its times like these that im so grateful that Idealian releases are time limited and not quantity limited, hate having to rush to do anything XD Seeing the makeup options, Im thinking they originally planned to give him multiple heads but decided against it when it was released. I think White would look amazing on him for that Vampire Hunter D aesthetic

@celga that was my hope as well XD It feels like every release had a tawny skin, that I got comfortable with the idea that it will now be a standard option and when the doll I really want in tawny gets released, hes not available with that coloring lol. I asked their Q&A as soon as the teaser came out and they said no lol, he would have looked killer in tawny I think!

@Zhenwu Congratulations! Kind of loling that they released horns for their detective looking dolls, and their conventions but when a doll that would REALLY look amazing with them is released - no horns! I was really hoping that Lucifer's horns would have been released with him. Im glad Im not into the outfits so I wouldnt be heartbroken with how quickly they sold. The priest outfit looked nicely made.

@RamenNoodle get your happiness whenever it appears XD Your wallet will recover eventually lol. Hyperon is worth the hype. I personally believe he is the most aesthetically pleasing of all the Soom sculpts, and the face of the Idealian line. Did you get the jointed hands as well? They are expensive, but imho, worth the price. The nicest of the jointed hands available out there, next to Bimong's yet to be released jointed hands.

@marci12 Soom just re-released the basic head version at a doll convention a couple of weeks ago, so it's not very reasonable for them to sell online again, I guess. I agree that white skin is more suitable for a Dhampir.

@GreenTeaSlug Ikr??? Even if they released him with new horns, I'd be extra excited. But I kinda understand why they didn't. It doesn't fit the character. A vampire would look odd with horns.

Btw, the vampire hunter now turns into a vampire lord. His career doesn't''t seem so success LOL.

 

It's wishful thinking but I left a message if Soom would add a basic head as an add on option for those who decide they want a basic head with their V. Hyperon purchase.
*here's hoping, for those of us overseas that couldn't visit their convention and would like both like the original vampire Gluino was released with both heads and also dark elf Zak.*

Hello, long time no see. I'm back with vampire Hyperon in cream white that I just ordered a few minutes ago. I had to get the long nail hands too,but that's all I could afford with my birthday money. It's like soom knows that my birthday is in 3 days and they hook me with a vampire Hyperon!! I had no choice but to give up all my birthday money in 5 minutes! congrats to everyone who ordered! I have been hiding on Instagram mostly with dollchateau recently but I'm happy to be back here with you guys again.

I'm going to ask for the basic head as well. It's so weird they didn't release it! Like you said, Zak and Gluino both had two heads. That said, he's really gorgeous.

I really hope they change their minds and offer the human head also, crossing my fingers for those who want one

I've always passed on Idealian sculpts when they are originally announced, but then I see owners' pics and immediately regret not getting them lol I like his suit by itself as well so I feel like it was a good way to start his wardrobe . Now I gotta search for shoes to go with the outfit!

@GreenTeaSlug Lol yes, life is short so might as well get happiness at every chance that I can get XD. I've actually been holding out until Gluino is rereleased but Hyperon looks so good! I absolutely love how other owners customized him and that really won me over! I did order jointed hands as well. It's my first time getting jointed hands so that'll be a lot of fun to pose :3 This is the most I've spent at once on a doll, and I still have another doll on layaway and i'm trying not too think about my wallet hahaha.

 

That is exactly what I was thinking! Really, I wish that they would just offer all color options for their dolls, as Iplehouse, for example, basically does. I'm not a big fan of the super limited choices that they make on the buyer's behalf!

 

If they would do something similar to dollchoice I would be SO over the moon hehe

Lol! I love seeing you on IG! You have some I mean ahhh most of my favorite Idealians !!

I'm very happy with my choice of cream white because my breccia soulstealer is cream white and they will be my vampy couple. I think if they offered all the color choices I would go bankrupt especially for Hyperon! I also think that they have a limited number of color choices because of quality control? I would rather have a near perfect doll than one that was made in a hurry. And a shorter wait time.

 

Got a reply from Soom. No dice on them adding his basic head to the vampire version. “They stated that their releases vary”.

Well, yeah of course they do, I just figured it wouldn’t hurt to ask due to the past when they seemed to listen to customers on occasion and would add extra skin color, etc.

Decisions, decisions.

I also miss the Idealian free choice events but it seems those are in the past now; at least when it comes to Idealians.

 

I feel sorry for those who want a basic head. But the reason why Soom made such decision is obvious. If they hadn't sold the basic head (also in grey and white) at the convention, I'm sure we'd have choices for both heads. Many people spent time and money on entering the regional convention just for getting the specific doll. Some even paid more (to a dealer or a buying agent). It would be quite unfair for those people if Soom released the same version again on their website after a few weeks.

I think Idealian team needs to make a better schedule about when to sell what. Then they'll know it's better not to release the same sculpt twice within a short time so that no one gets disappointed.

 

I mean, they could also just release the basic head a second time. It’s a pretty arbitrary ‘rule.’ It definitely seems more like they’re trying to create false scarcity— to keep the popularity of the sculpt going. Which is fine, but it’s not going to endear the company to anybody. They’re not the only company that does it either.

Either way, I think they’ll get fewer orders because of this choice. Which is a shame, because I think he’s one of the more gorgeous vampire sculpts. I actually think I like vampire Hyperon more than regular Hyperon or scarred Hyperon. I wish there were more dead on views of him.

Question! What doll stands do you recommend for Idealians? Since they're pretty big, I want to make sure to get a stand that's sturdy.

 

I use the Y-stand from Tata's paradise. not sure if they ship to US. Since Iplehouse has dolls in similar size and they do sell doll stands on their website, maybe you could take a look.

Has Garion ever been offered in any type of tan? I've only seen normal, white, grey and red.

 

@Cloudedmind I bought him in tawny when he was first released, so there's that...although I wouldn't call Soom's tawny 'tan', it's a little darker than normal.
