@marci12 He's actually not from Soom and is an Iplehouse HID Leonard! That sculpt does seem to be pretty popular.

 

@Maechen Oh wow, he's stunning though! At least how R.Dean designed him, lol. Thanks for the info; thought he might've been an older ID sculpt.

 

Leonard is actually from the Carved Heritage Series from Iplehouse. He is a EID doll originally but you can put his head on a HID body. Since he was rereleased as a HID swat theme. You can still get him thru the doll choice system.

shall we change our title to "Idealian 68/72/75cm discussion" as there's more 75cm guys appear now

off our topic a little bit, but Leonard and Lawrence are both my favorite IP male sculpt, they look indeed brilliant on the HID body.

 

I think 68/72/75 might be a bit confusing to new people. Soom has only offered Id heads on the Megagem body in free choice events. But it would be good to add the 75.

 

Maybe just remove the sizes at all and call it Idealian?

 

There as also an Idealian 51 thread and that might be confusing also.

Yep, and the new site has some clear specifications, but at the same time, a lot of Idealian girl are not shown.
Only Eden, Ierne, Elloa and Ebony are listed, no Calais, Isabel and Albany. One female Idealian per year isn’t enough, if Soom could consider to bring some of the SG girl into Idealian girl, that’s could be awesome (at least, I consider somehow Elloa is a upgrade version of Vesuvia, because they looks similar...

 

I haven't had time to research my the yet but I have a feeling they only brought forward releases after a specific date.

 

The Idealian ladies don't get enough love. I'd love to see them around here more. I shall endeavor to get some new photos of my Elloa and Dover.

 

I need to get pictures of my Eden also!

Not much data on the girls, unfortunately. One release in 2011, two in 2012, from 2014 to 2017 one per year - and then one this year. Only rerelease was Eden 4 years after her original release in 2012.

 

Im still really really sad Isabel was cancelled, I really think it was the styling that made her unpopular because her head sculpt is very nice. I dont know if it was because of sales because the CS was vague with the answer I got, they didnt even seem to be okay with the idea of Isabel being rereleased in the future, Im thinking there might have been a problem with the sculpt/sculptor in that case.

I did suggest that Mecha Angel Saiph would look nice on the Idealian body, and that there are others who are still interested in Saiph because I see her mentioned a lot and see some WTB's, so I hope that picks up.

I do love Idealian woman, but realistically, she does not sell it seems :/ Ive even seen some users here and IG upset when the release is an Idealian woman and not a Idealian man.

 

I would love to see Saiph on an ID body. I think she'd be amazing! They need to give her an awesome concept though, because, like you said, Isabel's power suit wasn't enough.

 

I have two females but I have hesitated on a number of models becase they only offered the cropped toe high heel feet with resin shoes. I don't like them! I asked once if they would add the standard heeled feet as an option but they would not. So I didn't buy her. I know they are trying to avoid making shoes but they have made them in the past. The Id women cane wear mecha angel shoes.

 

Hmm, Garion is up next, but I wonder if they'll still offer red skin, or if that was only for the event. Maybe, maybe...

I do like the red Garion,but if they do, it's most likely going to be limited just the original and all the ones that have come out lately.

 

@marci12 Im hoping theres a bronze, I did request it at the Q&A but they said there were not sure about it

My google translate shows me that a person asked if the color was like the one off, and they replied it would be coming in a different color. It would be cool if they made a new fantasy color - maybe a bright green like one of their old limiteds, but Im just hoping for a bronze.

She is my only female and I really like her. There's something about her little face that really appealed to me.

Does anyone have blank head pictures of Garion?

Also, how secure are the ID face plates? I have one doll with a face plate system and I hate it. (A Dollshe Rosen) It always falls off.

 

@marci12 Ive got one in red, so Im going to very very very heartbreakingly pass on him .... If he comes in bronze..... that's a different story

@Cloudedmind they are flimsy BUT @marci12 came up with an ingenious way of making the magnet stronger, mine hasnt slipped, gapped or anything since implementing her tip, it really is a must for every Idealian owner, that I think it should be edited in the first post of this thread.

I decided to pass on Liam and I sold my Tei lol
David should be shipping soon ( I hope) and I ordered him with the heavier faceup, hope it looks good !
IF Garion comes in bronze I may have to reconsider because bronze is such a beautiful color
I think I am just in a funk right now, no real ambition for any of it, maybe that will change soon.

I have been doing that and so far it's great.
I have had faces fall off before and it was the scream heard round the world lol thank goodness they fell on carpet lol

 

@GreenTeaSlug Thank you for the links! I just bought some magnets to replace one of the ones in my Rosen's head, so good to know I can use such a trick with them.

I have a half ogre/half human character that I originally wanted to use a Sabik head for, but lately I've been thinking of getting a different sculpt, and Garion's been growing on me.

 

You're welcome all !! Trick is still holding for my Elf Zak. Nothing like the semi-heartattack you feel when trying to adjust a wig and the faceplate up and falls off. I was able to catch it, and I had carpet too though @Twisty, lol. Once was enough.

@GreenTeaSlug, post pics of your Garion . I'd love to see him too! And the promo pic does look grey...I don't have any fantasy ID colored boys yet....hahaha

 

Oh my, this teaser is killing me. Gray skin + Aganos’ heavy Smokey style faceup is such a wonderful combinaison.

 

Oh man, he's gorgeous in gray. I wonder if they'll release with a faceup option for him.

Uh..I wasn't really interested in Garion before because I barely saw any photos of him anywhere, but now..I have to admit I'm drawn to him, especially knowing that he'll come in GREY.

 

Hello! Does anyone concern with the sitting height of ID72? I've bought a 1/3 scale (suitable for ID72) single chair but when a ID72 sits on it, as his knees just couldn't fold in 90 degrees, it becomes difficult to put the foots stably on the floor, then the whole body looks like just lying down instead of sitting... Is it because of chair's height, or his tight clothes, or any other reason?

 

Think of ID72 as a seven foot man. Their a bit big for standard chairs.

 

@kumunaorange - One benefit for us small folk - we don't have to deal with the problems of long legs under tables! Your guy looks great in that chair, regardless. Nice find!

Welp. More sales to come, lol! He was too gorgeous in grey . Got him with both heads, only human head with face-up (A-type), outfit, heels and feet, and grey jointed hands. Good. Lord. Many sales to come. Going to have to part ways with some of my crew this weekend!!

How does the high heel set look like? Are the feet separate from the shoes or is everything in one piece? I couldn't find any pictures.

 

The heels are separate from the feet but the feet are not full feet. The toes are cropped to fit in the shoes.

@Zhenwu that grey Garion is a more than good enough band aid for that grey Hyperon XD I love me some Hyperon, but Garion, to me, is the new "it". Will you be getting him? They were releasing horns again, and I would have loved if they released the Hyperon's lucifer horn with this one, it would have been killer!

Im actually very very happy you got him because I need to see your amazing styling on the BTS boys, replicated on the Idealian. I think he would look fantastic with a floppy hat and jewelry!

Ive personally been really bad this year with finances, even with selling, I still went over budget and plans, and it doesnt seem to stop now. I think my local friend likes me because he gets almost new dolls for 1/2 the price instantly for my new doll fix XD
Im debating if I do manage, to get him in white and dye him an olive green to go with my other Garion demon, or get him in gray and ditch the muddy green look because Im not sure he can carry off the Ganon look as much as an HID iplehouse could lol

 

Is the longest layaway Soom offers six months or just three? And Soom doesn't have any dealers correct?

 

@Cloudedmind the longest layaway they accept is 90 days, and payments must be made on a schedule with up to 4 equal payments

for example

25% on the first day (nov 1), next payment on (dec 1), third payment (jan 1) and final payment, with the remainder on (feb 1). Payments all dont have to be 25%, but as a deposit, which needs to be paid within 2 days, you have to pay 25%. The other payments dont have to be a set price, as long as by the end (feb 1), the payment is paid in full

I hope that makes sense, im not sure how to explain it ^^;

 

@Doko, thank you!! This will be my 3rd ID75 with heeled feet. The feet are separate from the heels. They're not cropped though @nancy_schroeder_ca, not like the ID women. The men's feet have toes. I'll put some pics on Insta and link it here. I was surprised to see they cropped the women's feet for high heels with the last girl they were going to sell, and pulled. I don't know why they cropped the women's feet and not the guys...?

@Cloudedmind, SOOM offers 2, 3, and 4 month layaways. The options you see depend on the amount your purchasing. So if you're buying something that's $100, you won't see a layaway option, but for something large like $1600, you'll see a choice up to 4 months.

@GreenTeaSlug, I'm always so amazed at people who dye their dolls. Could. Not. Do. It. LOL, too afraid of not being happy with the outcome. But I love seeing all the amazing jobs people do with dyeing!! Garion is such a strong and handsome sculpt...he'd look great in any color though... Ahh, choices; the grey might be surprisingly nice with your red one!!! Either way, you can't go wrong if you can work him into your budget. Yes, I'm really happy to see him in grey . Can't wait to put his look all together!!!

@Doko That, I don't know. But the ID heels are actually made of resin. They hold the ID75's weight, and the guys can actually stand in them. If you do find another brand that fit, not sure they'd be sturdy enough to hold these guys' weight.

On a side note, I do hope they do more idealian girls in the future, but I personally would love bust size options. Some of my characters aren't quite as well endowed as the idealian female body ^^;;

Ugh, I forgot the ending sale time for Garion was in KST, and I thought I still had time. I wanted to wait until after my trip to Disney today to order him. And, now he's already listed as sold out.

I did that and was able to order because they still havent submitted their order, so you might still have a chance. This wasnt with Soom but you never know unless you try?
