Soom Faery Legend discussion part 2

I'm lovin the new fairy, she'd make a great friend for the rose sprite.

 

I fell in love with Mullu on first sight, I'll be ordering her next week--I love those wings! Soom is determined to own my wallet this month I swear...

 

Just saw Mullu and wow, she is beautiful. I really like her design. I don't plan to get her but I look forward to seeing owner pics of her in future.

 

She is awesome! Where did you get the outfit and boots?

 

Mullu is the one Soom that has really made me stop and consider her.
If I weren't saving up for an important trip, I would have bought her already. ;3;
I'll have to try to get her secondhand.

I think all the Faery Legends are 3-4 wigs. The Volks Dollfie Plus wigs will fit nicely. I have one for my Azur.

 

I have a non-fairy Mini Gem, and she is exactly a size 4. A 4-5 looks huge, but the only 3-4 I have stays on ok. For clothes many people use Ken, GI Joe, or 1/6 figure clothes and shoes.

Leo Pheonix : Exactly size 4 is difficult to buy, but 3-4 inch is good for me, because I have more wigs 3-4inch of my Limhwa.

I am kind off picky when it comes to soom fairy,s so far i only have a absynthe and i love her!
She was like a dream to me.
Now mullu is here ....damnnn another one i love right from the start and i think i will be able to get her.
I love the purpleskinn version with everything else pink .
Nice soft collors and nice next to my green absynthe

I've neglected my poor Nyer... I'm trying to find some MSC so I can do her face up... and I'm not sure how I'm going to do it yet. Definitely bee inspired (I switched the wings from the bee sprite) but not sure if I'm going to go so far as to have yellow stripes on her or not. Kinda want to but it may be a bit much. I guess I can do it and then decide, if I don't like it I can always wipe her.

This new sprite is trying totempt me something awful LOL! Just planted tulpis this fall that I can't wait to see come up this spring and summer (it sure would be nice to have the tuplis and her come in at the same time). I already have a great top that would look great on her that I made for Aenigma.

Do wish they would make another ample bust faery like Haidi agian. Having the option to pick would be nice but I know that won't be happening.

Got a few dresses in the mail for my Melita... poor dear hasn't a proper wig or eyes or face up yet... but soon. Just ordered her a wig, it'll be in the mail soon. Then going to get her eyes and some sealant to do her face up. The more I play with her the more I love her though, I'm excited.

I bloody hate those antenna though! They keep popping out. x-x Once I do her face up I'm gluing those suckers in. -_- haha

My little guy is cute, but to be honest I'm having some reservations about his size. It's just awkward. Especially when I try to pose him with Mystic and Jemima, who are both 1/3 scale CP Delfs. He looks absolutely ridiculous with them. XP

 

I got my Crow and he is lovely. But there are a few problems. One, the magnets for the wings do not fit at all. They are way too big. So I can't put his wings on.

edit: lol, I finally got his outfit on. I was looking for some way to open it or put in over his head, then it occurred to me I should try putting it on from the bottom and that worked. The other pieces seem kind of awkward though.

 

Hi hi! My birthday Crow came (yay for understanding partners!) and he's pretty awesome. I am, however, having some trouble with eyes. I bought some (red) 8mms from eBay and the iris fills the whole eyewell which is, uh, not exactly the look I was going for.

Here he is in the 6mm defaults that came with my Fairyland Chicline boy. The iris size is good, but the eyes themselves are gappy. Does anyone have any suggestions, either for 8mms with smaller irises or 6mms that might not be so gappy? Thanks in advance for any and all advice. ^_^

zalem, I bought only the monthly outfit and it fits well. But no place for wings so I literally haven't tried them yet!

 

I didn't get the monthly outfit. Only his "default" outfit. Maybe I should have gotten the monthly instead. *sighs* Now I have no clue where to find clothes that fit.

 

i find that 1/6 action figure clothes seem to fit decently for the male soom mini's (female clothes are too big for the petite female faries) - u can get them of ebay

here is my boy in one of the suits and tie sets - the shoes fit too if u make a cut in the shoes at the back to slide the foot in
shirt and pants are only slightly too big but not that noticable.

 

zalem: Sadly you'll have to open the hole ever so slightly with sand paper or a knife until the magnet fits. You can message SOOM about it but it'd be faster/easier to take care of it yourself.

Gelf: I think if you found an oval flat back 6mm eye it would fit. I've found some on ebay but I am not sure I have any left to try for you right now... wait, I THINK my FL Puki has them in, I'll try them later and let you know.

 

Try looking for 6mm glass eyes in an oval shape instead of the normal round ones. I did that with my Azur and it's a good fit.


Just to warn, you probably won't find much colour choices at 6mm in this shape. Green, blue, grey, brown is all I've seen.

Sleet wears 6mm DT eyes in a custom colour (zombie frost metallics). As you can see, they fit really well and look great. The price is also fantastic and customer service excellent.

 

Hmmm, action figure clothes aren't really the look I'm going for. Anyone know of any fantasy type clothes for boy dolls this size? I'm going for a snow/frost fairy look for him (white wig, white clothes).

 

I went with 8mm glass because I felt they give her that intense wicked fairy look.

 

I can't help much there as I make pretty much all my dolls clothes.

 

If you're not looking for glass, I can't recommend Dreaming Tree Studio enough, she's amazing! Otherwise, I definitely suggest 6mm oval flat backs. I found purple ones (fairly sure they are from that same ebay store that was linked actually):

I had put in for Absynthe in the event, and I was soo disappointed when I didn't see my name in the list, but then today hubby tells me he got an email from Soom, he'd won an Absynthe as a gift for me! I am so excited, she's a dream come true!

I put in for Metato but no luck. Once my wallet recovers from the two dolls I did get, I will have to find one. I really love Metato; he's like a mini-Sard.

 

Holy crap, guys!!! I won Metato!!! I'm in total shock... I went to the page where they declare the winners, saw the first three letters of my ID and went, "No way....". Then I checked my email, and sure enough, there was the notification. I still can't believe it. I missed out on him the first time round, so I'm super happy to nab him now.

I just got my Nyer, I had to wait a long time since I added some stuff to the order pretty late, so here she is, her name is Niwah, I actually filled in the holes in her head and back and sold the fantasy parts, she's based of an original character that is not a fairy
