@Mahgiep Your couple looks great! Especially your girl in her green dress, I had my eyes on that one too. I am also interested about the wig - but not for EID males, for EID or SID girls. Does it fit your girl? If it does, it should fit an EID or SID girl too.

on their website they stated within 5 days since they had them on hand. But not sure if they mean business days or regular days.

 

I ordered last Tuesday, so it should be 5 business days now at least...I'll at least give it until the end of the week before I actually start worrying.

Her wig is by Amadiz and has a pink tone to it. I had it on another doll but inspiration made me put it on her and it worked so well with this dress.

 

@GreenTeaSlug - I actually didn't think I'd be the first here to get one home, since I know I wasn't the first to order. Guess the others went for layaway.

I figured I should warn people about the huge box if nothing else. I wouldn't recommend balancing this one on a bicycle to get it home!

The Warm Ivory is appropriately named. It has just a touch of color to it, and appears to be a good match to my one doll in IH White.
Edit: Peach Cream seems to be about midway between SM NS and IH PG, so, not a match, but still in that family of tones.

I'm afraid I don't own many heel shoes (since my characters mostly wouldn't wear them), so I can't really answer that for you, sorry! I can tell you that the heel-feet are obviously narrower and higher than IH feet (with a really high arch, too), and the only shoes I own that fit them right now are SJ's boots. They definitely can't wear IH heels, but the flat feet are almost exactly the same length, so they can still wear IH flats, even if they're loose in the width.

My Yvonne head came in yesterday! I didn't have time to really play with her because I had to go to work right after, but I made a quick Instagram post when I got back and I'll try to post a more in-depth unboxing thread soon.

 

Very pretty! I too ordered Yvonne S/D with the Bounty hunter makeup. I ordered her in the peach cream. Over all, what is your opinion of the body, resin quality?

I took that photo so fast with very little set up...I was holding her upright with one hand and with the camera in my other...I played with her hair a little before I took the photo. I miss the old EID hands...as they are so expressive, I believe. Like they are here.

 

Well, as I've said before, the proportions (in particular how skinny the wrists and ankles are) bother me a bit, but because of how thick the fabric of this dress is, I think it ends up looking pretty natural here. Maybe that was the intent? The sculpting is very nice, the resin quality is lovely, but the joints definitely need sueding/wiring/something. Right now, she's probably about on the same level as my first-gen EIDWs in terms of posing, though of course the specifics are different (she has a better design for the ankles, but no mobility joint, and the elbows are not being very cooperative for me).
In short, I'm used to dolls like this, but some people have much higher expectations, so...

Sharing my Sartoriaj Zakary. I love the slight smirk he has! The body he's on (Iplehouse EID) can't pose very well at all, but he at least looks pretty good on it!

Love your Zakary. I like him in the EID body as well. I really like his brown eyes. It's hard to find nice brown eyes that look so alive.


Here is my Custom Face up Yvonne from the head sale. I really like her and I couldn't be happier with her.

I was thinking the same thing. I don't have any SD male characters planned atm that she would work for, but of the two female characters I'm debating between one was a male in their past life, and one is a no-nonsense military woman loosely based on another male character. So she's probably going to end up with an androgynous face-up at least (and possibly sharing a buff body with my incoming Carina head who will be most likely playing the other character).

...Neck donut would help, but I don't know much about them. Where would I get one from?

Thank you. I have to tell you that I just loved that face up since the moment I saw the preview for the head sale. For some reason I thought they had 3 of everything so I was very surprised to find out that she is OOAK. That there were only 1 of hers. So I"m very glad that I could get her. I think you will be very happy with your Yvonne. I can't wait to see her when she comes. Believe it or not I got now three of her, I like her so much.

It's good news to hear that Serena may make a comeback. She actually matches perfectly a character that I want to shell. I hadn't realized that until I saw a different face up selling a wig. I was no way. So thanks for asking, will be keeping an eye out to see what they said.

I did see Soul in the box eyes. I bought two 10mm pair as well as having one pair come with a doll's head. What I find a little troublesome is that glass eyes aren't always fitting quite right, tho the 12mm eyes that I got from SartoriaJ for my Cleopatra head, fitted her fine.

What most exciting and excellent news. I'm soo doing a happy dance right now. Thank you so much for letting me know. The timing is great as well so I can fnishf my layaways and plan for her.

OOAK -( One Of A Kind) is a word I was very into before I got involved with Iplehouse. I started with Barbies, then into some of the 16-18" inch fashion doll kind. They sure got some beautiful dolls out there. Mini works of art. When I first started in the doll collectors hobby, I tried to repaint a Barbie and decided that was not my calling. I don't have the skill, but unfortunately I do have the eye for details so I don't work on my own dolls for I find them severely lacking. I can't hope to ever match the artistic skills of some of the repainter's art. It's hard to do the little ones, and they didn't have the advantage of making eyes come alive by glass or urethane. It was done all by repainting them and as an eye connoisseur, they are a must for me as a collector. Many of the best repainters no longer are in the hobby or have soar beyond my price range. I highly suggest you search out Noel Cruz to get a taste of what can be done. He uses their blank faces as a canvas and he's amazing. He's very famous.

In regards to this Yvonne, yes. I have named her. She is named Oasis. She will be partnered up with ZAK. ( my SartoriaJ Zak). Her story is evolving in my mind. here is what I've got so far.

-Character Biography: Last Atlantian left alive after the Island that was her home was destroyed. Her friend save her life at the last possible moment when none were to be spared. She was an orphan at a young age and was put to use as a servant in the castle of King Atlantus at the last days before their destruction. While working there, she met her friend ZAK, one she took to be a servant, by pure coincidence after running into him and spilling the food she carried over both of them. He was handsome of face and body. He didn't get mad at her clumsiness and he seemed to like her right away. She owes him her life.

-Relations: Friend known only as ZAK to her. That is his Title not his name. To others he's better known as The Olympian God Hermes or Mercury.

I hope you enjoyed my little Summary.

Oasis is a beautiful name. I love it when a doll is not just a doll, but a character with a personality and a story. It makes them so much more unique and "alive".

The new girl is up on their Instagram and she's gorgeous!

...And now I'm just even more annoyed that they don't have an option to buy the heads separately anymore, because that expression is exactly what I've been wanting for one of my OCs.

 

I haven't been interested in their dolls before, but I thought Eleanor looks nice, especially the little smile she has. It's sad now that SartoriaJ have got the body, they refuse to sell heads only. Due to it I will most likely pass and lurk the 2nd hand market later on. I don't really get what would they lose through offering head only as an option, because the fact is, not a single body will ever please everyone who likes the head. It cannot possibly be because of recast business, or could it?

I'm hesitant about the body, as it seems they used Iple as a reference in many points and the body seems to have the same poorly mobile knees which Iple is now trying to fix in their new bodies (that will now have visible knee joints). In addition she has unnaturally long slim legs, especially lower legs, and I'm not sure if it would start to bug me as a friend of realism. I do like the outfits and extras they offer, especially the corset bust, but it's not really a way of how to choose a doll lol.

 

Yes. I don't want the body for my Korean ladies but I would love the Yu head! Oh well. They have their reasons I'm sure and at least we now know.
