Sartoria J Design Group - Part 3

I think he is adorable, and I love his nose! I really like all the Three Musketeers photos SJ has done. It looks like they had fun photographing them all. I really feel the comradery between the characters. I think they chose the perfect sculpts for the 3 Musketeers (I wish I had the space and money for all of them.) Noah, as D'Artagnan is young and probably works well with the new 71 ATH body.

What do you think?

 

Noah is calling me to buy him! While I like the Three Musketeers set, that is too much at the moment. I am trying to stay with smaller dolls these days.

 

The cape is tempting for my luts ssdf boy but I also have so much to get that I may have to pass

 

I'm very tempted by the musketeer outfits, swords and wigs, but getting everything is like 600 dollars ;_; so trying to decide before tomorrow if it's worth it.

I ordered a Philip in December and he's gonna be a rakish dilettante, so I feel like the musketeer outfits would suit his vibe lol.

 

Sartoria has realized the cost problem and is offering layaway on the outfits and weapons.

 

Everything else is too right for my blood, but I had to have a pair of the black boots.

 

I ordered the Aramis outfit for a doll I haven't even decided on yet but as soon as I saw it I was like "grats Joey, you're getting a boyfriend!"

 

I was going to order a single Musketeer outfit but I didn't realize the date for them is up. I just thought it was the offer to buy all three at a discount that expired.

I've done the same thing, see an outfit for a doll I didn't have .....yet (LOL)
(I bought a SJ outfit for my Iplehouse man)

(Maybe send a Q&A and ask if you can order even though time is up)?

 

My Naomi Elf arrived back from the faceup artist today...

@Ashemanu : Thank you! Naomi Elf is such a stunning sculpt (all of SJ's sculpts are). It looks like they're maybe re-released once a year? So maybe a Naomi will come to live with you...

I messed with her wig a little bit and she looked so cute with her ears sticking out.

 

SartoriaJ just sent out an information e-mail about price adjustments. And some resin types and the Mintonette body are actually getting cheaper. Plus they got a customs authorization number for people in the EU, that way they can avoid custom fees for the EU.
Wow, that's good news and what I call a great customer service. I love that they actually think about their customers.
Now they only need to re-release the Elf Serena Set, that would be awesome.

 

@Amadiel I wish I would get those emails too, newsletter subscription doesn´t work for years now. But good to know! I am totally in love with Camille, she screams 1940s to me, which fashion I adore.

Eh, I wanna new doll too. I am ready to buy Daniel or maybe Jude from Sartoriaj but they are limited. Maybe I'll get lucky and get a second hand one somewhere or a similar sculpt or re-release. Kinda sad(for me) that they have so many great sculpts but only few available at a time.

 

@nancy_schroeder_ca - Congrats! I love the new faceup - did you get it or something else? I might have picked him up myself if I hadn't just bought another doll.

@luluna I love Lobelias! Never thought that when the sculpt came out first. Yours is gorgeous, but I wouldn´t have expected anything less Those lips ...
Saw the teaser on Instagram too for Alice. Now I hope they are MSDs. I really really don´t have any more room for SDs ...

 

@Ashemanu - Oh many thanks! Yes, Lobelia has become one of my favorite SJ sculpts.

While I love the ease MSD sizes and the less room they take up, I tend to photograph my SD sized girls more.

 

@Frillseeker - Yes I have an MSD Elf Lobelia in WS too! I also have another MSD Lobelia in Amber Beige.

 

I wrote to Jay recently asking if she will release the elves this year, and she said no. so with that info, I ordered a Iplehouse HID lady. (might as well spend the money I was saving for a SJ elf)

Good for you! Right now I am choosing between raccoondoll and iplehouse guys for my character idea instead of sartoriaj Daniel. Second hand is nowhere to be seen, and for the chance of re-release...I kinda asked Jay a while ago too, she said no MSD Daniel, he was limited and for SD she said I can order him if I follow the link in her message but there was no link in the message, I asked again and she didn't reply, so I think that's a no, she probably made a mistake.

 

Has anyone got a white resin doll they can compare to the SJ rosewater resin? I'm going to be hybriding a Astarion head that I ordered in white with an SJ body, but I'd like to know how close these two tones are.

I was an admirer of this doll when FantyFoo posted her on IG a few weeks ago, now SJ will be offering her

 

Yes! She will be so mine if that face up is offered! It´s not shown in the sales thread but there is a face up option F. I hope this will be it.

 

I agree...if that faceup is available for her...I'm in! My problem is I've also been wanting a Derek...and he is available too. Ugh...feast or famine.

@luluna The Sarah face up will be offered, just not done by Fantyfoo but the In house make up artist. They will add pictures of that face up tomorow at the botton of the side where the other face up pictures are. I am hopeful

 

How does the layaway system work?

 

I'm actually so glad they didn't have Agnes in the summer sale cause I've spent waaaay too much money on dolls so far this year! But I'm also still hopeful they eventually rerelease her.
The Sarah is absolutely gorgeous, I think you could give fantyfoo a trashbag and she'd give it a gorgeous faceup so when she gets sculpts like this so goes off.

 

You can do a 3 month or a 4 months layaway (I think)

Is that the "E" faceup they are offering? I don't see an example for the "F" faceup yet though, it is listed in the choices. So will the Fantyfoo type faceup be the "E" or the "F"?

If the Fantyfoo faceup is the "E"...I don't think it looks like it...enough.

Oh goodie!!! I was afraid "E" was it. She's so pretty! Thanks for updating me on this.

 

I am a bit undecided atm. The Fantyfoo face up seems much more vibrant to me, the actual one pales against it somehow, in the true sense of the word. Maybe it´s just the lighting.

 

I asked Jay about the Sarah makeup, here is her reply:

"Hello Susan,

F type make up picture is added so please check it again.
Fantyfoo doesn't receive make up commissions and just offers sample make up.
Make up in F type make up picture is done by our make up artist and you will receive same make up".

 

I think it is a pretty good replication. The Fantyfoo eyebrows are more detailed and a bit heavier...and I think she has the long eyelashes positioned to maximum effect...but overall...I think the SJ artist did a pretty good job. I doubt anyone could produce an exact copy of a wonderful Fantyfoo faceup. She has her own style that it just so well done.

Also, I think Fantyfoo has a nicer pair of eyes in her version and has them placed slightly better which helps her aliveness of the sculpt. And also the lighting might be more natural too.

P.S. Anyone order a Rosewater resin yet? If so, how do you like it?

 

@luluna I have a doll in rosewater, it’s a nice skin tone but I prefer the ivory white as their palest skin tone.

 

@luluna I got the MSD Sarah in rosewater skin. It is a very pale normal skin tone. It is pretty but I was expecting a bit pinker tone.

 

Oo man I really like the new faceup they did for April, really makes me reconsider her sculpt! I absolutely am on a doll moratorium but Jay always knows how to test me! lol

 

I noticed that makeup too on April, very pretty on her.
