@Frillseeker I have several of the curvy and don’t mind the larger hips because I usually dress all of them in period outfits, larger dresses below the waist. I do have a form fitting dress on my Luthien and honestly love the way she looks with the larger hips. But, I love the newer slimmer body as well. (What can I say - I’m all about SJ!) All this to say, I’m quite sure your Yu will sell quickly. Good luck!

 

I got one of the Halloween dolls from SJ and it's so WONDERFUL to have it sent so fast! It's so strange to get a doll that is still for sale! (I could get used to this! )

While I'm here and for those who wondered...here's a shot of the Gray Jude with a Fog Gray Phillip. Their resins are close but maybe the Fog is a tiny bit bluer.

They are absolutely fabulous! I love Jude in any form or color. But wow, that gray is stunning!!

 

Finally, SJ has posted notice of their winter sale! And they also posted a teaser of the newest tarot, "Strength" on instagram! I am absolutely going to get her, she's gorgeous. Anyone else have winter sale plans?

 

@ryuunohime I too love the new tarot! I admit I was hoping she would be a 1/4 doll, so I guess she is off my wishlist now. However I will continue to admire her beauty from afar!

As for the rest of the sale....like 5 tarot dolls for the month of december!!!!!! I can't wait to see previews!!!!

 

The new girl is lovely, but so far, all the sculps I'm interested in are not available...as they are "limited".

 

I love the new girl but I'm also really interested in what the High Priestess will look like. I wish Sartoriaj would drop previews cause in this case I think it'd let people make better buying decisions with so many new dolls dropping at once.

 

@Wittyilynamed Yes!! I agree 100%. I really wish they did teasers at the least. I am very interested in the male armor set but I decided I would regret it if I didn't grab Malena while I could, especially since it's a "tarot death" set it might not be what I'm wanting. Guess I will find out on Dec. 20 if I made the right choice!

I just got a new sj boy.. he's not my first doll but i decided him to be the last one (hopefully) Anyway..do you guys have any suggestions where can i find clothes for SJ73 body?

ps. I ordered some clothes from Taobao already (uf75 size or yc77) and also commission some clothes too.
but it would be nicer if I can find somewhere else that sell sj73 size

I wish I could help but I don't have any Sartoriaj boys, unfortunately. Definitely let us know if the Taobao outfits work out, I'm sure others would love to have the knowledge!

I also fell for her charms and put Malena on layaway haha. I'm hoping I don't end up loving the Priestess or I may have to get myself
two Christmas presents!

 

Well I'm eyeballing Mark....His outfit looks really glam pirate to me. And I think I like his sculpt. However....I will mull this over as I wait for the other releases. So much for laying off of the SD-ers....

 

I do like Mark's outfit! And I'm considering buying the new 71 body by itself since they're actually letting us do so, but I definitely want to wait until they release the last one with the armor set before I order anything. That armor is going to be expensive and if I like it I won't be able to swing anything else!

 

Mark´s outfit looks awesome. But even if I would be interested in Mark I don´t know if I would buy it, I just had to throw away pants made of faux leather cause of the material ripping. So far I am not a fan of the Xmas-sculpts and the new body. But I am very interested to see what´s still to come, especially Death!

 

I'm just now realizing that the most recent body designs all look to be strung the old head-to-foot way instead of having the cross arrangement in the hips! (Did I miss anyone else mentioning it?) Interesting! I wonder if the Mintonette body will get a retrofit too.

I managed to escape buying Malena, but it was a near miss. Hoping those who bought her are planning to share pics!

 

I haven't yet had problems with faux leather (pleather?) (knock on wood....) but I only have a few pieces. I'm waiting for the day that they may start to fall apart... In the long run I would prefer a different material. For me, the clothing doesn't have to look shiny and leather like. I'd be ok with something different and more sturdy.

One of the things that intrigues me about one of his photos is he has a ring on his pinky finger....

@Quirked - Oh thank you so much! Some dolls I have a little plan and others I totally wig it. Then sometimes what I've planed doesn't work out. Sometimes the first eyes and wig I try work perfectly.

@luluna congratulations with the perfect Christmas present :-) we recently moved from flat to a house, so our family has big Christmas present as well :-) my dolls going slowly to new places ( display cabinet). it will be a long time without any new dolls as simple house need lots of kinds of stuff :-(

Once you have all your dolls newly displayed it will feel so good. And one thing nice about dolls...if you miss out...they often make more. Happy Christmas to you!

 

@luluna thank you, it is the best Christmas present, after two years of fighting with the local government, the independent housing association accepted me as a tenant :-) I love my dolls, some have already been unpacked and gone to the display cabinet :-) will try to take proper pictures. e are happy with this house and own garden, ( i can make outside pictures of my dolls ;-) )
when the house is finished there will come a day for the new doll to my collection :-D

 

No comments on Oscar? He's a pass for me just because of the size, but I do like his face (and armor, of course ).

Not what I imagined as Death ... I was expecting a large black cloak and a skull mask perhaps

 

He wasn't what I was hoping for...and without any other 73 Zeus dolls I can't justify buying the armor.

 

Yeah as a cool doll Oscar is great but as Death I was underwhelmed.
I am buying The Priestess basically for the outfit, since you can't purchase them separately I'm thinking with a custom face up I'll like her a little more haha

 

I love the armour on Death, but I think I agree with @Ashemanu , I was thinking more along the lines of skulls, brooding and darkness. The price tag puts him in the not affordable category so that was an automatic not for me. I do still keep going back to Mark (Justice) though....

 

I could not let Oscar and his armor pass me by.

 

I really loved the Death theme and his armor...jousting armor at that! So cool and a nice change from what I'd normally imagine. I would have loved to get it all but couldn't swing it with a couple of second hand items I snagged up at the end of the year. I'm glad you got him @furbikini and I hope you post lots of photos when he arrives!

 

@furbikini - Congrats, and yes, please share photos when you can! Do you have a specific plan for him, or will you keep him in his fullset?

There always seem to be too many great dolls near the end of each year to have to pass on...

 

Can anyone tell me if SartoriaJ’s Middle Heel Feet shoes fit the
Iplehouse heel feet and/or Feeple65 heel feet? Thanks!

 

SJ's "middle heel" DO fit Iplehouse big ladies( here is a black pair on my HID woman feet-

Yep, SJ has a lot of pretty shoes. I have this pair of their "high heel" boots that I do, put on my Iplehouse EID/HID high heel feet, I wiggled the foot in (LOL) but I don't own any of their "high heel shoes/sandals so, I can't confirm that the Iple foot would fit. Maybe?

I have a question about matching SartoriaJ's 51ath boys with some other girls. The best match is FID Iplehouse, even if they are a little smaller, am I correct? Or there are some other options?

So... I love the idea of the new mobility joint in the thighs, since the character I'm shelling in a SartoriaJ doll has a prosthetic leg starting at mid thigh. Except I received my doll in December 2023, and the thigh parts cannot be purchased separately (already asked). My girl wears pants all time anyway, but it would have been a cool detail to add to her doll form. I'm not confident enough to chop up her legs to add the joint, but maybe I'll figure something else out.

Her head is currently away for a faceup, and in the meantime I guess I could work on finishing the vest I started. The outfit I put together for her looks kind of like she took some styling tips from Han Solo, so she's getting a black utility-style vest to lean further into that look.
