What resin colour was your Jonasson head, if you don’t mind the asking?

 

@chameleon0891 Normal yellow. If you or anyone happens to find the head, please let me know. Normal yellow would be preferred since the body is color matched, but I won't be too picky if there's no other way to get the head. If the head turns up, I would like to try and reserve it until I get the final verdict from Charm Doll. I'm still waiting for an answer from AC.

Aaaaahhh Ring Doll found the head!! I'm so happy! I was so bummed yesterday but now I'm incredibly relieved. That was a really nightmarish situation, ugh. Hopefully I'll get the doll before christmas.

@bickazer Thank you! ^_^ I just hope the hybrid works and the head isn't too big or too small for the body. 8'D But even if it doesn't work out, I just need to look for another body and I can get another head for the Ring Doll body. Whew, I'm so relieved!

Just went ahead and placed an order for Wei Wuxian. I hope the rumors of Ringdoll selling 700 units already in China is not true. If it's true, I won't get him until end of 2019-2020

I got myself a Raven! Helped a friend liaise in chinese for her Wei wuxian, chanced upon him, took 1 look and went "yeap that's the one". Then sat on that decision for 2 days and BOUGHT IT. I'm so excited! Can't wait~ My first doll! woohoo!

Placed a fresh order for my Raven and found you from @SteamWitch's tag. Pleased to make your acquaintance~

 

I'm actually not expecting mine until around when the second season of the anime starts. So mid-year 2019, around June or July. It's just an estimate, though.

 

Despite the mix up (which has been resolved) with my Ashford Evo order, I couldn't resist ordering the garbage Wei boy. Even if it takes 2 years for him to come home, it will be worth it. Here's hoping that they don't release Lan Wangji too soon so we all have time to save up.

 

Last my friend checked it was at 1000 units. Can't even fathom how long the wait would have to be, but hopefully they've got a smooth system running. *hugs

 

Just curious as where your friend is getting these stats from, though I 100% believe they have sold that many.
Then I hope that means they really delay Wangji's release so they can properly release Wei and their other dolls. The orders for him will be just as crazy.

 

They're active on weibo and other CN forums because they're rabid fans and there was mention of some congratulatory thing going on on weibo for Ringdoll having hit such a high number.
I think they'll have to delay LWJ's release; just as long as they're not delaying it for 13 years I think most of us would be alright.

 

Oh wow, 1000 of one doll? I hope this doesn't delay production of all of their other dolls as well. I don't think I could handle it if Ringdoll started having Dollshe-style waits.

I have to admit I'm not familiar with Wei Wuxian's source material (though I definitely have seen pictures/fanart from it floating around). My impression is that it's a manhua; is it also an anime? I had no idea it was this popular. :O Maybe I should check it out....

 

It started as a novel, which then became a serialized manhua and then an anime. There's currently 1 season of the anime and the manhua is on-going. Not a bad fandom if you don't mind the mild Boys-love/Suspense/mystery solving genre.

 

That sounds like exactly the kind of thing I'm into. XD What's it called?

Ringdoll said that my order (Nov 14) expected to be ship 90-120 work days (the usual is 60-90). They did mention that it may be loner than the estimated 90-120... which mean at least 6 months for those who order the first 3 days of Wei release. And who knows what other beautiful dolls they plan to release soon that also increase later orders.

 

I just got the email saying my Rinku has been shipped!!! Now to stalk the mailman

 

Ha ha if Ringdoll has sold that many dolls I get why I'm still waiting on one!

This will be the longest wait on a doll for me, but he is really worth it. I also really hope they don't release Lan Wangji too soon, my wallet won't be able to manage with Christmas coming up.

 

It's called Mo Dao Zu Shi aka Grandmaster of Demonic Cultivation aka Founder of Diabolism. Yes, it really does have 3 names depending on how one translates it.

I really hope they postpone sales for Lan Wangji. I was probably not going to buy him but now I'm thinking how I can buy him. Just as long as I can pay down my credit first after buying WWX.

 

I kinda want them to do Jin Ling also...I can't fit him anywhere in my collection but I would like him. I'd somehow make it work or Wen Ning :<
Why do I have the feeling Lan Wangji is going to sell possibly just as much as WWX.... I wanted to order Hui next year but I see that being held off for awhile lol

Gosh reading through all these posts has me shook haha. It's been crazy in my personal life lately, had to have my galbladder out. But the layaway on my alice 01 was finished on the 8th. I'm really hoping she doesn't take forever but I've waited almost a year on 2 different dolls before so I'm trying to push it from my mind. I've ordered her wig, eyes and 2 outfits for her and have been working on her character. Her name will be Harper.

I think it wouldn't be super necessary for RD to focus on a Jinling because there are plenty of beautiful sculpts available for a character like him. Wenning though, seems to be in line with what they've done for their halloween line.

Hui is such a classy sculpt and so versatile too! New dolls are always so exciting because I cant wait to see how people interprete them in vastly different ways~ it's such a joy

After emailing Ringdoll sales back and forth on details of the order, my order still shows up as not paid. Now any time I try to reply to their email it's always Undelivered Mail Returned to Sender. I'm unsure why as before I had no problem.

 

I have the same on my account too, though I've had my dolls some for months and other years.

 

It could be due to the 11.11 sales. That is a MAJOR sale date in china, it's like their Black Friday equivalent or worse. Give them a bit more time to process until things get back to normal? I'd say give or take a month is comfortable. Hang in there~

 

Both orders I've done recently with Ringdoll were like that. The first order took 2 weeks for them to send out the confirmation email, but once they did it said payment was confirmed. The 2nd order I am still waiting on, and it may take longer for them to confirm because of the massive amount of Wei Wuxians that were ordered recently.

 

Got confirmation for Wei Wuxian today. They said he would ship in mid to late 2019.The longest wait ever, but I'd rather it be long and have him made well, instead of rushed and sloppy.

 

Heyy everyone! Been awhile since I've been on doa in general. I bought a fullset jade on layaway in the summer and paid her off around August/September. No idea how much time I've got left to wait and I'm getting worried ill regret my decision

@Lupe540 was the layaway through Ringdoll? If so, they won't start adding it to the order untill it's paid off. Which mean you may see her soon either in December or January if they aren't too backed up with orders in August/September.

I can't wait for all Jade to arrive to their owners and see pictures of her outsidoe ofofhe fullset. Sadly I missed the order period to own her

 

@aireoko I'm hoping I see her soon because I know I paid her off at the end of summer. Does anyone else start worrying they made the wrong decision while they're waiting? She's precious but I worry she won't fit in with my other dolls.

 

I'm waiting on my own Jade and I'm not too worried about her fitting in, since I love her aesthetic and ordered Alfanzo to be her buddy, lol. Even if they don't fit with my Narae and her planned compatriots, they'll still be welcomed as a part of my collection. The longer the wait, the more excited I'm getting to see both of them! It's funny, because I ordered fullsets, I don't have to worry about styling or makeup, so they're more like display dolls than custom diys. It's nice not worrying about that aspect.

Also, the event photos Ringdoll has been posting always include a Jade somewhere and she looks as cute as ever. There's a B version that didn't get much attention, but I think it's one of the outfits that were voted on previously for the Jiang-Shi version... in fact, I think it's the version for which I voted. Really wish they'd put up more photos of it. Hoping they sell it, too. They've been putting out alternative versions of other dolls, like the White Rabbit, so maybe Jade will get the same treatment.

 

I only worry that I won't be as obsessed with bjds by the time mine comes, however unlikely that might be. But no point fussing over something out of our control. Cheer up!☆

 

I always get that feeling when it get to the 4-5 months mark. But when any of them arrive I love them to bits! Don't worry I'm sure you will love her when she arrives.

 

The shipping from Hong Kong to me in CA was only a few days! I had to delay shipping because I didn't think they could make it in a week and a half--but it took only 2 days. Oh, well! Better that I got it without worrying about it arriving when I was away! Although I was away for 2 days of delivery. Luckily it was DHL and they allowed me to schedule a delivery the next day!

My first payment was in December of last year--so it's been almost a year!!! If I hadn't delayed shipping it would have arrived in early October. Still a pretty long wait. (I bought a billion dolls between the times, so I didn't notice so much... and have been looking at this doll for years, so I was used to the long time period, I guess.)

So... I got my Boyce (werewolf human version) fullset, tan, finally! Photos still to come...!

I have so many dolls now that it doesn't matter if dolls fit in or not. I just have to like them for themselves. So far I have never disliked a doll, which is why I have a hoard!

Thanks, @SteamWitch ! I wanted to do a small bit of body blushing and glue the included eyelashes on (I like lashes on my dolls)--but of course, our one or two days of rain in CA has to fall on today... so photos are delayed. I'll post as soon as possible...

 

I only ordered clothes, ordered back in June..are the wait times normally this long? @_@

 

It looks like Hui is starting to arrive; I've seen one person who's already gotten theirs. I'm so excited for him to come home! Anybody else waiting on him? ^^

 

I wouldn't ordinarily say to contact a company when running late, but if it's months late, politely asking about the possible ship date can't hurt...

Ringdoll has had problems in the past with taking a long time. They will go through times that are slow and then times that are faster. Waiting is a part of bjds sometimes! But poking the company politely might help... at least to know just how things are progressing.

 

Ringdoll has been attending a lot of events this fall and releasing a lot of new and very detailed sculpts! I can see how it might be pretty busy for them.
That being said, I'm really looking forward to when they might ship out Hui, been checking for a shipping notice and new owner photos daily since Abibot shared that someone received theirs!

 

I checked with Dolk yesterday for an update on Hui, and they confirmed that he is scheduled to be shipped out by the end of this month from ringdoll

I had ordered a head from Stacy's Pink Ocean and got a shipping notice yesterday. I didn't ever get one from Ringdoll (I don't usually so that's normal) so when I got a pink slip from the PO I saw China and assumed it was the SPO head. Nope. They handed me a massive box and I was like "wut." I've never gotten anything sent USPS from RD, only DHL. Total surprise.

I was on my lunch break and had no idea what to do with him! I was expecting a head lol
I dropped him off at home. I don't even have time to open him tonight. But yay?

(Edit: I said I got the shipping notice for my head yesterday....I meant last week. That would have been really fast shipping lol)

@sleepinghazard right?! It was pretty cool. Though I have zero time to enjoy him right now. I managed to unbox everything to make sure it was all ok (it is) and now he's sitting naked, bald and eyeless on my shelf. I'm dying to get him into his full set, those masks are so freaking amazing. And the clothes!! Maybe I'll drag him to my friend's tonight to get him together. I wasn't going to, but I don't want to wait!!

I forgot to add myself to the list! I ordered Wei Wuxian on December 7th with some clothes and an extra sword. I put it him on a 3 month layaway since he's probably not gonna ship until sometime between spring and the end of summer anyways (according to their website) . But I'm so excited for him depending on when he arrives he can be like a graduation present or a birthday present LOL yay!
