@JAS101 unfortunately I still have three payments left on the teen bodies and I just put a secondhand Dollshe body on layaway, so I may have to wait a while to get him. So I'm glad he is not a limited or I'd have to use credit. I want to get as many of my floating heads bodies as I can before buying another doll.

 

Ah I see the problem! Still I do wish you the best of luck on getting him since I know the feeling so well of finding a sculpt that really needs to be part of the collection. I do agree it's great that so many of the Ringdoll sculpts aren't limited since it gives a fair chance to save enough cash to get the sculpt in question even if it takes a while. It will be great to see what you do with your latest additions once they arrive! My doll-item buying will need to take a break for a little bit since I'm having a layaway for two dolls right now (ops.... bad me for buying another one on Christmas eve....).

 

I need to practice more self control and keep my stand on no new dolls until all heads have bodies. I think I will have achieved it with the Ringdoll teens. I'll still have practice heads but I don't think I'll make them into full dolls. I think they may be used as background characters in some photo shoots.

 

OMG my K fullset was shipped!!!! Just got the notice!!! I will edit the list as soon as I'm on computer.

 

@Rochel Yes, many of them wear 11mm eyeco eyes I bought like 3 or 4 years ago. LOL You can check the pics of them on my Flickr, Laszlo (Dracula) is wearing 11mm.

MOC emailed that my two Ringdoll teen bodies have arrived. I am going to pay them off now and get them home. I am so happy right now. I'll post when they have shipped them to me.

I was wondering if Alice takes special requests for heads unlisted on her site since she's an RD dealer.

i purchased him in tan skin because I already own a Lucifer head in the same skintone (and they will share bodies xD)

 

Set up a layaway earlier this month for a huge box of clothes so I could take advantage of the Limited Dracula Awakening head (NS) release. The plan is to have the two heads for the same character; who I'm still pondering. Can't wait to see him and my Ringdoll K hanging out together.

 

He's home! Now I really need to start working on the proper clothes and find the missing types of fabrics I need for him. That and make a wig and such

That and his look was soemwhat different back then since among his people knitted sweaters isn't something people wear and having short hair is pretty much unthinkable

It's highly unlikely that i will have time to start working on him for the next few weeks since my thesis needs to be completed within the next 6 weeks and things are even more busy than usual .

 

Hi, I'm new to ordering from Ringdoll, but they came out with Aya and I'm in love with this girl.

I was wondering if someone could help me with the event ordering though.

I want to participate in the Easter event and get the bunny and $50 of free accessories. I've already got the accessories I want picked out, the question is how do I tell them these are the ones I want? Do I add them to the cart and pay and have them refund me, or write it in the comments section of paypal since their ordering page doesn't have any area for comments? If anyone knows I'd be greatly appreciative!

 

I believe you tell them in the payment comment and email them with the order number along with your request just to make sure.

 

I totally forgot about my RingDoll order until today when I got a shipping notification... My girl is almost home!!!! So excited!

 

My first BJD order ever I wasn't even expecting him until the end of April and at the time I got Alice's e-mail, he was actually in a DHL van being delivered! One hour later and I finally got him. Will head to the appropriate threads for feedback and unboxing pics later.^^

Hello everyone! Wow, is there any discussion going on in here? I see a lot of that list which is kind of confusing but I'll go back and sort through it, was just wondering if any folks actually talk!

I have a 1/4 girl Ringdoll body high on my wishlist (and possible the boy version as well depending on how well the girl works out) and I'm trying to get an idea of how long I can expect my wait to be! This will help me figure out if I should choose layaway through MoC (which I hear can take even longer) or pay full with AC (which can be faster). I certainly don't mind waiting a few months, but once things start getting into the 5+ month territory that's when I start getting a bit antsy!

 

This is the waiting room, so we post when we ordered and when we get our dolls. The discussions are held in another place grown Ringdoll discussion Ringdoll Grown Dolls, thread #3, there is also one for teen and smaller. Look at the main menu bar and see Discussion and find the right dolls sized discussion then look up the company name.

 

It's always seemed to me the discussions are for those who already have their dolls, not for those still waiting on their order. I've been in numerous other waiting rooms before and am currently in another active one now, and sure, we post when we ordered and received our dolls, but there's also a bit of discussion too as we talk about our plans and can vent our frustrations and whatnot. I've been on these forums awhile (so I know where everything is) which is why I was surprised that this particular waiting room doesn't seem to have a lot of discussion going on for those who don't already have their dolls. It seems this waiting room is different however so I won't continue to post here.

Hehehe, no it appears to be quite impossible not to end up in the waiting room every other 6-months or so I have tried to convince myself that it was the dolls who jumped into the cart and purchased themselves with me not having anything whatsoever to do with it.... but we all know the truth

Thank you! The White skin K will become someone David knows from where he originally comes from in his story. White skin K will also get a short hair wig since I do think I have figured out how to make a similar haircut to the fullset one but without needing the special fullset head Normal skin K on the other hand will most likely be based on Swedish history even if it will take forever to get the clothes made and such.

Ringdolls wait times seem to vary a great deal though! I was hoping my Aya would come by the middle of August for a convention I'm going to, but I guess I'll have to wait and see.

I'm a bit in love with their bodies and can't wait to actually see and play with them in person.

 

So I ordered from RD this morning, but yesterday I grabbed an instock head from DollsSinging, so I stuck that there too. I wasn't originally going to add that order since it's in stock....but since I had the other one I figured why not. :\

Yay! I've got my shipping notice for my first K That went a lot faster than I expected

 

That was fast! Mine were probably ready when I emailed them and asked about them. I immediately got a notice that they were shipping.

 

I am still super surprised my head shipped already xD Esp. since I got quoted a four month wait (and had forgotten I had ordered him in the meantime / ahem)

 

Aya finally arrived and in time for the convention I'm going to next week! She is so awesome - and for being so tall shes so light, its unbelievable. She's my first Ringdoll and I love her to bits already

She's a little stiff, but I'd prefer that over floppiness any day. She also only comes with standard heel feet, no flat ones - good thing I've got lots of heel shoes! She does have interchangeable long nail and regular nail hands though. There's no space in her head cap for the magnets for her ears so I put them under her wig and that did the trick ^.^

Also, the body's neck is very thin. I don't have any Ringdoll men yet (I've got to wait a few months) but I put on my Migidoll Miho head (10.5cm) and the proportions are lovely but there's quite a large gap since her neck is only 9cm.

 

I hope I did this right!! My first order from Ringdoll and I'm so excited!!

Oh goodness I didn't even know they had an event going on so when I got the email about a free head my heart stopped. Sorry, would have added that in when I first posted my order but I didn't know!

I didn't get a chance to update this when my Spencer arrived, she's been here for a few days now but I've been really busy since opening the box. Currently stored away until I get her clothes, a wig, and better eyes. And as my first 1/3 scale doll, she's really huge!
