Ooh new thread! And the photo finally synced! Ise's gorgeous new wig...and Pariah who thinks he's far too colourful and needs to tone it down a bit. The wig also glows under a blacklight, but I don't have one to show it off.

Hehehe, thank you! For some reason Ise doesn't seem to want to stand on the carpet here (but was oddly fine with the carpet in my old room) so Pariah's just holding on to make sure he doesn't faceplant. They look so odd together but I love it.

Thanks @Kavarr! He's a literal rainbow of calmness and optimism. I need to get my hands on a blacklight though. I want to play with his wig and photograph him more.

 

I already asked in one part but I think I should of asked here so I will ask again..

I got a question tho and a sad one at that... Any idea if they can fix accessories or replace them if they have been broken tho ? I seen they would replace body parts but would not they replace accessories themselves? My Wei Wuxians flute got snapped in half in the doll case I originally bought.... and I been wondering if I could possibly get it fixed at all..

 

@UtaOPrinceSama - Have you tried emailing them to ask? The worst they can say is no.

 

I just did I’m just waiting for a reply.. >< I mean if not I could just use some really good clay or clay foam to fix it I think..

 

@UtaOPrinceSama - A two-part epoxy glue would work too. I'd used it to repair the odd broken finger.

 

I just got my Ringdoll Valkyrie/Sigrdrifa today after ten months and I can easily say she's not 68cm, she's the same height as my Impldoll MGB body (65cm) and her shoulders are a couple cm below my RGM-04 body's (68cm). Their description states that the body is 68cm with the head but I think they mean that it's 68cm with a head and heel feet (which I didn't get since I initially thought that 68cm body + heel feet would be too tall for my character)

Took a photo! RGM-04 body (68cm, tan, plus doll legend tan hands), RGL (Valkyrie's, "68cm") body (white), and an Impldoll MGB body (white, 65cm).

Curious that she's smaller than expected, but also not surprising. Doll companies sometimes get their own measurements incorrect (*cough*IoS*cough*)

 

Anyone receive a doll lately? I ordered Ksitigarbha last Oct? or thereabouts. paid him off Jan or so. I can't tell if he's still in production or waiting for a plane. I ordered through FFD so I'll ask Iris, but was curious about lack of photos here. That said, I'll plan some photoshoots for the weekend.

I am waiting for Ksitigarbha. I don't think they have shipped any of him yet.He was released about November 12th.

 

I just found this thread, and now I am watching, because my blank Ringdoll MoYu is in the mail to me. He has been floating in the mail for two weeks, and I really hope he gets here soon so that I can add his picture to this discussion thread!

thank you both! Surgery was yesterday (3rd (and hopefully last) tendon surgery this year) so I'm typing 1 handed, but I've had loads of practice at that
@petiteballerine - Xiu's street clothes are about 5x fancier than V's formal clothes

 

@Girrl - Xiu is all about the fancy. I'm not even allowed to hold a pair of jeans near him.

@SteamWitch - Ash just sitting is a pleasure to see.

I'm still waiting on Ksitigarbha in wheat. Having a hard time being patient. Not sure how much is RD regular slowness and how much global restrictions. When he arrives, I'll have 4 RG-4 in tan, wheat, white and normal, and one Teen in wheat.

It's been forever since I've posted a photo of Seina, so here he is! I'm debating on selling this wig, as I'm not 100% sure it suits him.

It's a pretty great wig though, love the natural colors of it!

 

It was an experiment, and I really love the colours too. They do suit him, but I'm not sure if the style suits him. Hmm. We shall see I guess!

 

@Quiet and Insane - Very cool wig, but to me it seems overwhelming on his face. just too much happening. He's so handsome.

 

@petiteballerine - I do agree, the wig is quite large despite only being a single layer. But thank you! He brings me peace and calm.

 

Thanks @SteamWitch! I love the white eyelashes on him too. Nothing like some funky coloured lashes on a doll.
Nimbus looks looks almost like he's glowing! I love how colourful he is.

 

Yo, did anyone in here manage to get a Rica? I was hoping someone might be able to get a photo of the faceup they received him with. Mine is finally coming from Dolk, but I noticed in the photos they sent me that the eyebrows were much lighter then on the promo pictures, though they said it looks the same :/

I'm hoping so, but it's a BIG difference. The promo pictures have very dark brown/black eyebrows.
Not that the colour matters as it will get wiped, it's more just making sure it is absolutely the correct doll..

 

His head will have the sculpt number written inside it if you want to be super sure.

 

It looks the same otherwise as far as I can tell, but I think they've already packed it for postage. So just gotta hope? XD

Looks like they took that photo with some really strong flash. His brows probably are much darker in person, so if that's the only thing giving you pause, I think you're pretty safe. Fingers crossed for a safe and speedy arrival

 

Thanks for that! It is the only thing that I really noticed different. As far as I can tell it looks right otherwise!

 

Even if they are a touch too light, you can carefully go over them if you want nice, thick brows.

@keelerleah Can you write a review on Lan WangJi? I want to know if quality is good after reading reviews on Ringdoll.

 

Did anyone else who ordered LWJ and WWX (or any other fullset) wipe for a custom face up? I do like LWJ’s makeup but I’m so tempted to get WWX redone. It’s not bad... it’s just not what I envision for his character. And if I wipe him I’d rather have the artist do LWJ too so that the style matches! Gah. I can’t decide.

Sorry for the late reply. I’ve never done a doll review before, but it is an interesting idea. Unfortunately, I haven’t been home all summer (it was June the last time I actually ‘played’ with any of my dolls), due to ongoing health issues. But I finally had surgery a few days ago and I now have hope that I may finally get to go home and get back to my dolls soon. So maybe once I get feeling better, I’ll consider doing some sort of review.
