I pulled Ash away from Evz for a little. I hope to get him dressed in his older outfit and take some photos before they become inseparable twins again.

 

Since I'm just nearing the six month mark of waiting for my Rinku, do you think it would be okay to message them to ask when they may start shipping? Or is their wait time closer to a year?

 

Their estimate on limited is 120 work days is 24 work weeks about 6 months so you should be close to an answer.

Ugh, I've seen two Rinku's now floating around on Tumblr. Still waiting for my boy to ship. I've not messaged them since I know he's out there. I have the fullset though so I expect it to take a bit longer. I hope he gets here before Halloween

@LuckyXIII I'm sure it wouldn't hurt to ask. I do know someone else who bought one and they don't have it yet either....I haven't heard anything about the white rabbit fs I ordered. I figure they just have a lot with all the releases.

 

Aooni that I ordered at the end of May, is now in the face-up stage, so I too think they have their hands full.

 

At least I won't have to worry about face up weather for him since he'll have make up on arrival. I'm just really excited for him to come home.

 

Hi everyone! I don't know if this will help, but we're expecting three White Rabbit fullsets to come in today. So they're definitely shipping!

 

Ringdoll posted a teaser of some bat type wings for an “Alfonzo” doll on Twitter earlier. I’m pretty excited about the idea of something possibly demonic from them. Not even sure if it’s a grown doll yet though as this a grown thread.

 

Yeah, I saw those wings too! Super excited to see what Alfonso looks like. I kind of love Ringdoll's tradition of Halloween dolls; they always come up with such creative designs. I don't think they've ever really done a demonic doll before so it would be cool to see!

In an interesting twist of fate, I had planned for my Ashford to be a winged demon (albeit one who had lost his wings), and those wings would suit him really well...though I don't think they'll be offered separately, since the Judge of Hell's special parts weren't. And probably all for the better because I've been a very bad girl with my resin purchases this year already. :P

 

Ashford would look amazing with those wings, especially with his pointy ears and otherworldly look.
So it’ll be a Halloween release eh? Then it could very well be demonic considering the last release was literally from hell.
Great title btw, I say that line in(a bad imitation of)Worf’s voice every so often just to get laughs haha!

 

He would, though I'm not bothered if i can't get the wings. I am planning on getting him horns, though. But first I have to finish paying off this six month layaway and waiting for him to get here lol.

Yeah, they said on Instagram he'd be their Halloween doll. They always seem to be announcing new projects and putting up new teasers on there, it's amazing how busy they are. (No wonder their wait times have gotten so long....)

Don't forget the most important part, the mint frosting! Oh, how I love Worf.

Can’t wait to see what you do with your Ashford, he’s a great base for all kinds of demonic goodness.
I’m eager to see what Alfonzo looks like, they always seem to raise the bar. If he’s anywhere near as cool as Judge, I reckon I’ll be adding him to my growing Ringdoll collection.

 

I’m super curious too. They’ve mostly been making grown or teenage dolls so I’m expecting big size for Alfonso too. Their sculpts are so pretty and tempting. But I won’t have more funds this year so hey. XD

 

Just gonna jump in with this (from an email I received today from Ringdoll, on an unrelated manner):
"Because we have moved our new office and have a rest, today we are on work."
As an additional possibility/reason for delays.

 

We-e-ell....Ringdoll just posted concept art of Alfonso on Instagram and...and....and I have to ask why do they do this to me???? He's a vampire, his wings will be gradient color, his outfit is backless (prob to make room for the wings), he has silver hair, a cool sword....it's like a perfect combination of things I love!

B-but I'm paying off Ashford, I can't buy a second Ringdoll fullset....at this point I've got my fingers crossed that he'll be an open mouthed sculpt or something, something to kill some of his appeal to me..please.....

This looks like a teenage sculpt don’t you guys think? :O But still a very pretty design as always. Can’t wait to see what the sculpt will look like. :P Not that I have money left hehehe. XDDD I finally get why people end up with a million dolls while deciding on only getting a few. XDDD This is a dangerous slippery slope haha. XD

 

I was thinking that too, makes sense if he was a teen doll since there’s already Dracula and Ashford(assuming he’s a vampire, they said he was related to Dracula somehow). If he is he’ll be my first teen Ringdoll.

Whew, if he's a teen I think I'll probably be less interested in him (I'm into Ringdoll for their big boys, haha). But maybe we should wait until there's more than just a piece of concept art to go off of.

 

Hi guys, I got a question for those who bought directly from Ringdoll's website.

Did you had any issue while ordering something from them?
With their website or customer service?

I ordered a few items a week ago, paid with paypal the same day, and my order is still tagged as "Unconfirmed, Unpaid, Unshipped". I wrote them a message, using the "contact us" tab, asking if everything was ok with how I ordered it (it's my first experience with them) but they don't reply back.

Is this normal behavior?

Haha, I’m about 99% sure! XD
I’m a sucker for Vampires(the fact they shot The Lost Boys here in Santa Cruz is one of the reasons I moved here! Also, no pun intended XD)and the single wing gives a sort of Sephiroth vibe. Plus the fact he’s limited certainly increases the desirability factor.
But the deciding factor will of course be pics of the finished prototype, if he’s as awesome as the concept art, it’ll be done deal!

 

I can totally imagine that. XD I love vampires too. I don't have the money to get another doll right now otherwise I'd be so tempted too. If you get him you should definitely post pictures!

@Lawrichai If it helps, I've had more success contacting them via email than through their website in the past, though it's also been a while since I made a direct order.

They definitely seem to be quite busy lately! It shouldn't be too long before they put up actual pics of Alfonso, though. Sometimes their concept art differs significantly from the way the doll actually looks, so I'm interested to see how the drawing translates to real life. In Ashford's concept art, he was blond, and I think I like that better lol. Though I was actually planning on getting him a pink wig...

 

Yes this seems to be pretty standard for them. I have two layaways paid off but they're still listed as "unconfirmed, unpaid, unshipped". They've been sending me order/payment confirmations through our email correspondence, even as I've been adding items to this next shipment! ^^'

 

@Lawrichai Yes, their updates to our order status isn't good at all. They should answer emails though, that is normally pretty quick, but as @Quiet and Insane said they are moving office so they are extra busy.
I ordered and received some wheat hands a while back and it still shows unconfirmed, unpaid, unshipped. All the confirmation and shipping info was passed on via email.

I was getting worried mostly because it's my first order with them and usually other companies are a bit faster. Like I ordered something else from Dollmore the same day and it arrived today.

Ringdoll posted the lore for Alfonzo, it seems almost certain he’s not going to be a grown doll based on the story and the fact they referred to him as Little Vampire. I also wasn’t sure if he would have only one wing or if it was just drawn that way to show the concept. The lore suggests he is indeed going to be one winged!

 

I really do love all the stories Ringdoll comes up with for their dolls, it's definitely part of what drew me to them. Alfonso's seems quite interesting, but yeah, I don't think he's going to be grown. (Which means we probably should stop talking about him in this thread lol) That's a relief for me, ha ha. Are you still planning on getting him?

My "New hand type combination - A" has arrived, and they sure are yaoi hands; they are huge! But oh so pretty.
I guess Ringdoll bodies do not have any fancy mechanisms for changing hands, just the old-fashioned ways? (It sure will be annoying to change clothes with those hands)

 

It is. I have several pairs of RD fist hands from Various RD full sets and I use those to change clothes. Eric is wearing the first now because he's still dressed for Halloween XD

According to Ringdoll's instagram, the new guy with the wing is 1/4 sized.

Yeah, wow, I'm surprised! Feels like it's been a while since Ringdoll released an MSD, but now I'm happy because I definitely won't want him haha. I think he'd be cute as Dracula and Sol's son, though @HenshinCyborg

@Qianna I think Ringdoll actually released a video on how to change hands a while back, but not sure where to find it. Changing their hands is the same as for most companies' dolls, though. You have to pull them out and slip the hook off the elastic. Hemostats are an enormous help for keeping the elastic from just zipping back into their bodies (you can do it without them or use something like a pencil or chopstick to hold the elastic in place, but I find hemostats work the best for me). It's not that difficult in theory but depending on how tight the doll is strung, it can be pretty hellacious.

The trouble with that video is that my grown body 3 hands are strung so tightly you can barely pull them our far enough to do anything with them much less actually hold the elastic with your fingers. I have managed to get a small sharp nosed forceps in the loop then remove the hand and replace it.

 

My Teen body is like that. So tight no way can I get his hands off. Luckily I decided The Penguin can have small hands so I don't have to change them now. "Luckily". Meaning I don't want to bother because it's much trouble XD

His tiny hands do come in handy(harhar) though, because he can hold his umbrella!



Not that you can even see in this picture it's so dark. He's the short one that's not Harley. Also he can go here because his head is Grown. Lol
