Ringdoll Grown Dolls, thread #6

I know the feeling, he is perfect and the official make-up is amazing Omg I plan to order him from Alice’s collection I just can’t miss him, he is the character I have always imagined on my mind it’s just the perfect sculpture, I want him to be a gorgeous daemon.

 

I totally see Noel Feilding in his look, LOL. And thank you for the suggestion of making a style guide on pinterest, what a fantastic idea! I have such a hard time pinning down the style of each doll, I keep a list but that's absolutely NOT the same as visual pictures! Fantastic idea, thanks! Gosh, I really love your John, he is sooooooo AWESOME!

 

Welp, it's official. Just made my first layaway payment for Ashford to BJDivas. This pretty much means pushing all of my remaining BJD plans to next year, and after I'd so carefully laid them out too...but hell, it's worth it! I think this is the closest I've ever come to falling in love with a doll at first sight.

In the meantime, better work out an actual character and story for this guy...I'm thinking maybe a demon who defects to the angel empire or something melodramatic like that, lolol?

 

Congrats, on ordering Ashford. I don't own any ringdoll's yet but Ashford and the possible Vampire Hunter D upcoming release have me seriously tempted.

 

Going on six months now waiting for White Rabbit, so starting to get fidgety. Time for him to hop on over here!

But at the same time debating over Ashford, not knowing if I'll even like ringdoll dolls...

 

@Fallingroses Ooh, yay! Let's hope he arrives soon...ish...for both of us! I'm doing a six month layaway, so hopefully he'll be here by the end of it. I remember it taking only 4-5 months for my previous Ringdoll fullsets, but it seems their wait times have become longer since then? I don't mind, since Ashford's fullset is quite intricate.

It seems they're actually collaborating with Yoshitaka Amano himself for the Vampire Hunter D doll. I think it will be a China/Japan only release like most of their licensed dolls, but you may be able to get them through certain dealers like Jeeryama.

@Yumeiro and @PowerAndWeakness I'd certainly encourage you to go for Ringdoll! But then I'm again I'm biased lol.

 

I'm curious about Vampire Hunter, too. Not sure how that will go over with the vamps here.

Waiting to see wheat IRL before getting new hands & feet. All my guys want them. Every RD here is #4 body. good to know they fit all sizes.

 

I am waiting for Ringdoll to put up the blank pictures of Ashford to see if I'm getting the head or not. If I do, he'll go on my DZ demon body since I'm not caring for the Gene head (at least with the company face up). Congrats to those who have ordered his full set!

I am still waiting for my Rinku to ship. It has been just over five months since he was released by my first payment on him was made a year ago when he was first announced! He's been paid off for awhile though. I hope he ships soon. I want him so bad T_T

Yes I am so exited and looking forward for the package, do you know if the price of the doll is displayed on the outside of the package? I am hoping my boyfriend don’t see how much I payed

 

They definitely undervalue their dolls for customs. I can’t remember by how much, but I think the declared value of my red king fullset was under $100. If you and your boyfriend don’t share finances, I get not wanting to tell him, but if you do, I’d be careful with hiding prices from him!

If he see the price he is going to try lecturing my of how to manage better my finances and that can be boring I love him but I know him

Ahaha, I hear you there. I'm soon to end up living with my girlfriend, in which case our money is gonna be a lot more shared, so we've recently had to talk a lot about my doll spending. Fortunately she's very understanding and loves my dolls, so we're compromising between saving for a place and spending money on the things we enjoy.

On less of a tangent form this thread though, I've started some armour for my Frankenstein! He got a new character, and is, strangely enough a light-allied paladin-type character. Or he was before he died. His sister, the necromancer was able to bring him back.

 

Hello~ I just know that Ringdoll have wheat - color
yet so late, for a long time didn’t check in the website.
I’m looking for my switch/gangster boy new body but can’t find any comparison if RD wheat color will match volks or switch resin?
I saw it a bit darker and more yellow than normal skin so I got hopes up since RD body is really beautiful. I know they do skin match service but it’ll be great to shorten waiting time tho

I just started paying off a big layaway order for a wheat skin Dracula fullset B version and a tan Senkai fullset version S. Can't wait to get these gorgeous men home. I have two friends irl who have RingDoll Grown guys, and they are really amazing

Yay! I found some cool light blue eyelashes for him. Not sure when they will arrive but since Evz has control of the body now I'm not in a rush.

Edit: MEMORIES - I am scanning the old Ringdoll threads for Wiki content and laughing about some of the comments and how things have turned out. Especially @VampireAngel13's John Crow and him being a nobody and hopefully has no friends. How things have changed in a year and a half.
This was about the time I ordered K in tan. When I went to Doll AKon this year and brought him and Illya to see Shan. He said it was the first tan K he'd ever seen. I wonder how many were actually made.
