Random fact about your doll

Fact: I have two dolls of the exact same sculpt, but didn't bond with one because it was tan):

 

Fact: I have two dolls named characters from The Vampire Diaries - Alaric and Elena. But they look, act, are NOTHING like those characters.... and they're siblings.

 

fact : i bought a doll for my birthday and got a free head with it....turns out i like the event head more than the doll i orderd >_<

 

Fact: All my dolls are second hand. But I love them as they were new and shiny. And I take the best care of them and love them alot. I gave them a new start.

 

My first doll was supposed to be a girl and I got a boy but I kept him because he has a sweet smile.

 

My Female Minifee, is named after a Male Singer

 

Fact: I started buying dolls less than a year ago (but I saw my first one, AoD Zi Yuan, 2008). Now I have 9 dolls at home and I'll buy my 10th tomorrow.

Fact: Deena, Johnny, Milean, Alice and Emeralde (the new one) are names from books I plan (or have planned) to write. Ed and Luna didn't get their names from books, but I do love Luna Lovegood and Ed is a vampire. I wanted to find names that fit twins, so I took Stella and Luna (Star and Moon). And I like the name Elias (I call him Eli) because of the book "Let the right one in" (Låt den rätte komma in); there is a movie called "Let me in" (and a Swedish one too). Eli is a vampire in the book/movie. And since Elias (DoD Kirill) got his mold name Kirill (Kirill Elias Jordaniel Svan), his twin had to have his, that's why he's Silas (DoD Si).

 

Fact: Mokuba Takahashi -- my Luts KD Jeong, got her (first) name from Yu-Gi-Oh!. It wasn't until 4-5 years later I realized she also shares a last name with the manga's creator.
I regret nothing. :3

 

Fact: I never wanted to have a girl...now I have two girls and one boy xD
...and I love my girls so much

 

Fact: I dropped my girl head first onto pavement, nothing wrong with her face (no scratches on most of the body either), the only damage was a huge chip on her feet.

 

Fact: I researched for several months and found the perfect dolls for my fantasy characters that were based on original sketches and stories by me. It was tricky since they were fantasy colored (blue, green, pink, orange,etc) Thank you Resinsoul!
Fact: I purchased 2 dolls at the same time as my first resin bjd's, well my boyfriend purchased one and I got the other.

 

Fact: I love all my dolls dearly and they make me happy but there is just one very special doll (kyoshi) I see him as my son, my baby I always get this happy feeling just by looking at him, he's everything I would want (sometimes I wonder why I keep buying dolls because I always pay more attention to Kyoshi). I only have this connection with him and I certainly would die if something happens to him (God forbid!).

I'm not kidding :P

 

Fact: I've had my Volks MSD Sakura since 2008 and only now have gotten brave enough to start tinkering with her.

 

FACT: I got my first doll in secrecy

 

Fact: My dolls' clothes cost more then mine and I don't care! lol

 

fact: I fell in love with only ONE Volks Heath I ever saw, and decided to try my luck with the mold, I ended up buying that one Heath without realizing it till after I paid for it

 

Fact: I just ordered a Dollzone Mo but I've been in love with this doll since many years ago...for some reason I never felt like buying him and yesterday I remembered him and boom! order placed. I don't see him as a new doll I would regret of buying or being afraid of not bonding, instead, I see him as my lost boy, the one who should have been here since a long time ago and he's finally coming home.

 

Fact: I've been collecting dolls for 5 years now but yet none of them have shoes
Fact: I payed $70 for my first faceup until I learned my friend is just as good as the girl and will do it for $20

 

Fact: I only started collecting bjds this year and i already have almost all my dream doll family!
Side Fact: over half of this family consists of floating heads in need of bodies.

 

Fact: I ordered my first doll a day after my best friend, but my girl came first

 

FACT: I waited and saved for 5 years before I finally got my first BJD (even though I bought her hands 4 years early thinking that if I had the hands I would get the doll sooner)
FACT: I never wanted a boy BJD until I saw thesaraghina's Hasekura, Jacques.
FACT: Before I even ordered my first doll I wanted to change her eyes to smaller ones I've had here for her for years, she's been here for over 3 months now and I'm getting used to her huge brown eyes and probably will keep them as is
FACT: I like covering my girl's eyebrows with her bangs
FACT: Nadeko has lots of toys to choose from but she doesn't like any of them other than the Christmas bear

 

I waited 6 years for my first doll. Glad I'm not alone in such a show of endurance >,>

 

Fact: It took me about 2 1/2 hours to figure out how to put the outfit on my Dollzone Tulip.

 

I sold everything valuable I owned (that isn't bjd related) in less than a week to be able to buy my Crobidoll LE.

 

The very first day I got my first BJD I restrung her 2 times and I've been wanting to change her face up since I got her.

 

I ordered my first doll the day after Valentine's Day and my second doll was ordered on Halloween.

 

Fact: I ordered my first doll on the same day that the doll who brought me into BJD came home 5 years earlier.

 

Fact: All my doll sculpts have been chosen based on their resemblance to Bleach or Gintama characters (even tho they are only cosplayers & have their own original character)

 

FACT: I'm still afraid to change anything in my doll other than clothes ><

 

Fact : I never managed to find a name or character for the free doll I got in an event, so I just kept calling her Nameless and her character came to me from that

 

New fact: Wanted to Change Sakura from sweet to more edgy but it seems she's just not having it....lol

 

Fact: I now own 40 dolls. (This seems like a very daunting number until you realize that I've been collecting these dolls since 2003. So that's just shy of 10 years now, which puts my net acquisition rate at about 4 dolls a year.)

 

Fact: Lysander has bent-up paperclips instead of S-hooks in his right ankle and right wrist.

 

Fact: It took me a good part of an hour to get Alex's head back on when I decided to just remove it for no real reason!! After that, I swore I would never do it again unless absolutely necessary!

 

Fact: My girl is very shy around boys dolls.

 

Fact: Of my 12 dolls, Cassie is my only Yo-SD sized doll.

 

Fact: Exactly the half of my dolls has me as the third owner.

 

Fact: My first BJD's sculpt was originally a practice head used by the company.

 

Fact: I bought the first doll I fell in love with but searched through many to find him.

Fact: I currently own 22 dolls. ohmygosh.

 

Fact: After more than seven years, my first BJD is still my favorite. (Though in 2010, I got another one who has come closer than anyone else to deposing him!)

That's just totally cool!! I had something very similar happen to me when I got my SoulDoll Lune.

My characters are based on a story I've been creating based quite especially on the emotions I've felt about various new and horrific experiences over the past year. For example, one certain character represents the whole story and consequently (what feels to be) the end, one doll represents a certain type of problem, another doll represents the future with the past still affecting everything whether negatively or positively. One character is like the ego and represents a side of personality, with another character completely dependent on the other to exist and she has a very different side of personality, though neither is (again) negative or positive because their traits are so jumbled like nerves it's dangerous to cut anywhere.

(I love the way fairy tales use myth to teach people about real life situations, even if not to teach they still represent some beautiful and sometimes terribly sad things. The original Little Mermaid and the story of it's creation still make me cry no matter how much I hear it. Stories like this inspire everything for me.)

I'm sorry I tend to ramble when it comes to doll back-stories, but I'm so excited to get them face-upped and clothed and looking beautiful because it's taking SO long!

I guess this is another much quicker fact; I've been in the hobby a couple of years and I still don't have a doll I'm happy to say is completed!!!!!!!! It's horrifically frustrating! I hate that use of sealant is dictated by the whims of cold wet English weather, and I hate that I'm not patient enough to sew the grand clothing designs I create, and I hate I can't find magnets strong enough to hold on horns through wigs, ARRRRRRRGH!!!!!!!!

 

Random fact: I only have one boy doll, so he's stuck sharing clothes with my girls.

 

None of my dolls have their stock eyes, I commission eyes for every single one of them.

 

Fact: for a new doll coming, I don't plan it's looks (wigs, eyes, charcters..etc) Before the doll arrives to me
Fact: I received 3 dolls in one month! (or I should say 4 because I got a Event Head with my Fairyland doll^^)
Fact: after 1 whole year I sent 2 of my dolls to a faceup artist! (they was blank *__*'') because I have hard time choosing the faceup artist (and me being a picky >,>)

 

Random fact: when I thought about the image of the first doll, I decided that he would be a usual craftsman, may be, a smith or jeweler. Nowise noble man or prince, oh no! But when he arrived, I has had to admit that he is real prince. I wasn't prepared, all his outfit was in the usual style! But he is decided differently ^_^

 

Fact: All my dolls are male!

 

Fact: I always have grand plans about who I'm going to order next and it has never once actually followed through.
Fact: I have based a few dolls around wigs I liked.

 

FACT: My brother makes miniature, edible birthday cakes for my first BJD, Sayuki. ^^

 

Fact: When we moved from California to Maryland, Bailey arrived at my new home before I did.
Fact: My only Volks doll is named after a Vampire Queen from a novel.

 

Fact: I purchased and picked up my doll in person on my birthday, April 14, 2012. She is literally the first BJD I fell in love with in 2004 when I discovered BJD's, a Serendipity Sharmin complete with her default lace dress!

Fact: I completely got out of the BJD hobby in May 2008 and eliminated all dolls and accessories, and not a DAY went by that I did not miss them until October 2009 when my Souldoll Asiter came in the mail.

Fact: I cried over him when I opened his box.

 

Fact: The First Doll I restrung took me and my entire family (Mom and Step-Dad included!) 2.5 hours to complete.
Fact: I've sold more expensive dolls for cheaper ones because I didn't prefer the expensive ones.
Fact: I tend to justify buying another doll with "The clothes are just as expensive as buying a new doll". So most of my dolls only have 1-2 outfits XD
Fact: I prefer male dolls over female.

 

Fact: I only got my first BJD because my boyfriend wanted to get one for our two year anniversary
Fact: She's named after my favorite Persona 4 character but has a totally different personality
Fact: I'm only getting my second doll because Iplehouse released a sculpt my bf and I adore and because he's starting to like them too.

Fact: Seraphine poses beautifully when she's with Cesavier but if I try to interact with her she's usually kicky or awkward feeling.

Fact: It doesn't matter if nothing touches it inbetween playing with Ces, his wig still somehow manages to get scruffy and ruined.

 

Fact: My Migidoll Yuri is the exact same head seen in the older example photos on the site. (The artist decided to sell off a few extra heads on e-bay, and I pounced.)

Fact: My first Iplehouse doll (Akando) was a bribe I bought in exchange for making myself go to the dentist for the first time in years (due to a really bad experience back at the end of high-school).

Fact: Every time I take Rin on a trip with me, I end up having to buy him at least one toy as a souvenir to bring home.

 

Fact: Any item I buy for a specific doll always ends up looking better on one of my other dolls.

Fact: I took my first doll to a New Years Eve party the same day he came home.

Fact: I've only pre-ordered one doll since I started collecting. The wait was too horrible.

 

Fact: Half of mine are not on their original bodies....some never had one, was just bought as a head.

 

Fact: My boys outnumber the girls by like 3 to 1

 

Fact: my girl is a vampire Gnome. and her boobs make me uncomfortable
