PlanetDoll Mini Riz 27cm discussion part 3

This is my mini renee with a face-up that i just finished. I love her! I'm going to work on a white skin one next...

How come there isn't more action on this page? I love these dolls!!

 

I have a lot of PD Minis-but I am currently playing with my dollhouse scale dolls-they fit in a pocket with a camera.

 

I was not initially interested in PD dolls, because the company pictures make them look severely unhappy. I don't have may first BJD yet (she's coming from Soom!) but have already decided to stick strictly to 1/6 scale. The owner pictures of Tara have convinced me. Dandy has been telling me I have to bring him home every time I see him. PD minis are the only adults on my wish list other than Soom Mini Gem and RS Pixiu. All the others are children in matching scales. I saw somewhere that the eyes that fit PD minis are 6mm ovals. Does anyone know where to get them?

 

Is the Mini Riz considered 1/6 scale?

 

There seem to be two scales that are called 1/6, one with 16-17 inch adults, and the other with 11-12 inch adults, which is confusing. My OT Tonner dolls are the bigger version and by future resin tribe the smaller version. If I think of PD minis as adults they fit as smaller 1/6 scale. I think someone had them listed in a discussion about 1/6 scale dolls too.

 

What size and style is the wig you have on her?
She is a beauty.
I think that the Roseanne is the youngest looking one of the mini's, like she could be a child, almost. Kind of transitional look, age-wise.

 

I received my Mini Riz last week and I love her! I bought her here on the market place and she is the largest doll I have. I have no wig for her, nor shoes, and only one Barbie outfit with a skirt that is way too short but I borrowed a wig and hat that don't really fit her from another doll so I could at least take this picture. She has one outfit on the way from Spampy, one more Barbie dress and two pair of shoes which I hope will fit, and a pair of boots from Newline. No wig yet, not sure what I am looking for really but here she is:

Could anyone give me some riz in whiteskin spam? I can't decide between a whiteskin or a normal. Never owned a ws before or a riz..but I'm tempted!

Cuuuute! My mini-planetdoll is NS, but practically all my other dolls as WS.
She's a poser :P

 

I love whiteskin, but her character didnt suit it as much.. So I adopted a normal pink mini riz today from oobiedoll. :-) so my wait is on! Looking at shoes now.. :-)

Oh my.....having fun trying to find decent wigs for my girl, then found this shop online. Don't know if anyone knows about it, but they have 4/5 wigs, and shoes that should fit. Big collection of wigs, and they show them on a tyler type doll, but it gives you an idea.

Well...had to take some wardrobe pics trying outfits on my girl (I really need to get her a name soon) click on my flickr thingy in my sig and you can see them.....but one I wanted to show here has her in, so far, my favourite jeans I have put her in. They are from, believe it or not, Liv doll Jake outfit. They are a perfect fit........yippee!!!



Oh....and I have been using the shoes from Mattel's Whose that girl (I think) dolls and shoes from Mattel's We Three Friends dolls. A little big, but kinda cute. Fit well with socks.

Well....did some experimenting with fur wigs.....and I made and styled this one. Doesn't go with her style, but I had fun making it.

They are definitely fun. The hardest thing I think about them is getting decent shoes, but otherwise, FAB!

 

Hello, all! I am finally getting a Mini Riz after moving in a smaller direction with my doll hobby. I love her and seeing your pictures makes me even happier that she is coming to me this week, courtesy of a kind seller on the MP. I was wondering if any of you know if Sugarmag Blythe outfits that are stretchy will fit Planetdoll Minis?

I want to get a blank Renee elf as well and may try my first faceup using watercolor pencils and pastels.

 

I love this soft, delicate faceup!!!

 

I don't know for sure, but on a guess I would say it is quite possible. With some stretching, I can get a one piece Moxie Girls outfit to fit my girl. I will post a pic when I can. I would think therefore that there is a real possibility that they would fit.

Beautiful pictures wolfboy and veresk! that blue sweater is wonderful and I love outdoor pictures. The mermaid looks so natural on the rocks ---

 

I just put in an order for a WS boy Tara (And even if they don't notice my note and send me a Paul, I won't be unhappy). I'm looking forward to seeing how he looks beside my RS Pixiu.

Does anyone know what fits the male mini body best, and what size shoes to get?

 

I'm hoping I might be able to get a mermaid while the event is running and I'm currently debating between getting free shipping or an extra head. So this is a plea for photos - I find it really hard to see the differences in the sculpts in the planetdoll pictures. I'm especially interested in seeing close up pics of Renee, mini Tara, mini Emma, Dandy and half eye Riz

I just got a shipping notice from Planetdoll for the mini Paul (I requested a Tara head instead) that I ordered on the 26th of last month. I'm pretty impressed with their speediness!

My first resin doll is going to be a Planetdoll Mini Riz. I got her second hand and she'll be coming in at the end of the week. I'll have to remove her face up so I'm a little nervous but I think it'll go well. Me and the off topic gang are excited for her arrival. She'll be the last doll I purchase this year.

 

How exciting for you! I have a mini riz too. She has the most delicate little body. I have been finding pretty shoes for her on the Bay by searching under marley Tonner shoes. Enjoy your new girl!

 

My Mini Tara boy arrived yesterday and he's excellent. I am so impressed with how well he poses given he's only single jointed! The resin has a nice tooth to it and reminds me a little of custom house. He has a tiny rough patch on his belly and some of his fingers still have flashing between them but all in all he's utterly lovely. I posted a box opening if anyone is so inclined to look.

Wow, I just started looking at these minis and they're beautiful! They are so childlike, I feel a maternal instinct just looking at the photos here. I dunno if that's weird. xD

 

I don't think that's odd or weird at all, in fact, I actually felt similar when I unwrapped my new boy. They're just the right amount of cute, not too OTT.

 

Derae-Johnstone, congratulations with your Tara boy! I want to order Tara boy too (maybe after Christmas) and I'm glad to know that it's possible to order it as a whole doll, not a head and a body separately.

My dolls are here, but PD made a mistake with the order and sent an Aqua head instead of a mini-Emma head. I've just dropped them a note - Does anyone know how they are likely to respond? I couldn't find anything in the feedback forum about how they dealt with problems as there aren't many posts and all the feedback was for transactions without probkems.

My gal came in. I named her Pearl since she turned out so pretty. She's my little scene girl. I've found that my 2013 ken clothes fit rather nicely but as far as shoes and other things, I've had to make them. I'd love to know some places to get her some nicer shoes or maybe a dress. I'm thinking about getting a Mini Dandy next year to keep her company. Anyone have any pictures of him?
