Pipos Anthro discussion part 2

Thank you so much, I have E6000 in my craft bin, so I'll go ahead and use that. Her sculpt is stunning, I fell in love with her several years ago, back when I was a teenager. It's such a dream come true to finally have one my own.

 

I caved and have also ordered a Snow Charlotte, she's so pretty! I ordered her with the new 30cm body as well (though plan to change it out with a Luts 31 body if the posing is as bad as a pervious person said). I have a 31cm Luts and a 31cm Withdoll body and can say it's a bit hit or miss with YOSD sized clothing. The main thing to take in to account is the body and limbs are longer so you need to look for things with a low waistline/ long top part.
Arms and legs are usually too short so look for things which will look good as 3/4 length instead of full. I've sewn my own stockings etc for them as YOSD stuff is too short and I wanted them full length. A lot of YOSD stuff tends to be a bit big in the body as 26cm dolls tend to be a lot chubbier than the 31cm bodies so I've found they need bringing in a touch if you want it to be more form fitting.

Haha, I know the feeling. I drooled over the Blue Rose Charlotte with armour body for years and was so happy when they re-released her. I was a bit disappointed there wasn't an armour body option but then one popped up on the secondhand market at the same time, it was like it was meant to be I'm glad you were able to finally get yourself one and I hope you're having fun with her

 

@Epicari thank you so much for the detailed response! Good to know about the arm and leg lengths! I plan on just keep her in dresses so at least pants won't be an issue lol I might learn how to sew stocking then. I finally have excuses to purchase cute yo-sd outfits that I've been wanting
I hope Pipos white skin is a good match for Luts! I'm really hope the posing isn't too bad, but at least there's options for switching bodies.

 

I'd love to see your girl! Blue Rose Charlotte is to die for! I'm having a lot of fun playing dress up with my girl, who I've named Olive. I love that she can fit in most barbie sized clothing, which gives me a lot of styling choices. I'm hoping to get he painted sometime after the Holidays.

My girl is on the new 30cm body BTW, and I haven't personally had any issues posing her, for those who have mentioned it. She stands fine on her own so long as she's barefoot(the only shoes I have for her are a tad too big) and she sits really well. Perhaps the previous person just got unlucky with a badly strung doll...or I got lucky with a well strung one haha.

(She's wearing a temporary pair of eyes I had on hand until her better fitting pair arrives. I didn't like how she looked in the free ones she came with. .-.)

Does anyone here own Mint, Light blue and Lavender Pipos dolls? I would love to see all the colours side by side for comparison.
It's such a pity Cranberry Lavender isn't available in the special skintone event since I love that colour (at least in pictures I've seen)!

 

Ah, I need to photograph my Pipos kittys more, it's been hard to find time this year as been busy with other hobbies
But good to know you're not having any big posing problems with the new 31 body. As for shoes, I know my Codenoir YOSD shoes fit my Luts 31 feet well so when I get my snow charlotte, I will check and see if they're also a good fit for the Pipos.

Over on Pipos Twitter, they've saying the snow charlottes have been painted and and being prepared for shipping already! I kinda forget how fast Pipos is (compared to other companies) so it's an impressive turn around on them!

 

While we are waiting for our snow mice and charlottes, have a pretty kitty knight!

@suruni I don't have any of their dolls in those colors, but I'm seriously tempted to order a few more mini Pangs!! If I do, when they arrive I'll post a picture here, along with my white, grey, and orange MPs. It'll be an MP Rainbow Brigade!! I'm actually really interested in their caramel and lavender hues.

Also, I saw on instagram that Pipos posted some more hand options for mini Pangs (though I suppose they could be used for any JR.PI body), but I can't find them on the English website? They're not on the Japanese or Korean websites either. I feel like they should be up on the website before they're posted to any social media since they're just optional handparts, but whatevs! Maybe Pipos is just releasing photos of them for now. But they're the human version with short fingernails!! I would love it if they also released a clawed version.

 

I've just ordered Deborah, and Snow Charolette for me, and a blue rose Charlotte from the mp for my mother! I can't wait to have these girls home!

They often post early previews of new stuff on their social media a while before they go up for sale on their site. (Quite a few doll companies to this so not just a Pipos thing). It'll be interesting to see if the the new hands will fit other dolls.

As much as I love my Cheshire, the body does frustrate me a little with it's limited movement. I thought i'd try the head on a Luts Zuzu body and I think it works really well-

The head fits the neck pretty much perfectly, I just had to add a kips disc to keep the head stable. I wasn't quite sure how the S hook would go as the Pipos head is held with a knot, I had to change the Zuzu hook to a smaller one to fit the small head hole. There isn't anywhere to rest the hook but turns out it neatly hooks on the side of the head hole.
The only downside is the original cute outfit doesn't fit the larger body so Trix might be getting a new outfit this year

 

Just received my Snow Charlotte last night and gosh she's so pretty! In the brief time I spent playing with her, her posing doesn't seem too bad? I'll try to play with her more during the weekend and test out her posability more.

She's so light in weight compared to my SD13+ sized dolls so she's easier to play with lol

 

I wondered why this thread wasn't hopping with people being excited about Snow Charlotte, turns out I had just unwatched it.
I'm another one who bought her pretty much immediately when I saw her, the colors are so ME (pastel shades on a white background? yes please). She arrived the other day, completely unexpected! I thought she was a roomba! I thought I had purchased the long body but I apparently ordered the regular short R.Pi body, so she's swimming in the dress I bought her (and finding clothes that fit that also meet her very exacting specifications is proving impossible), oh well. My bank account is just glad I didn't even notice the Snow Mouse!

Ah, it's nice seeing the first owner pictures of snow charlotte! Mine one (ordered back in Nov) still hasn't shipped so for now, just have to enjoy seeing other poeple's and what they're doing with them

I love that outfit, it has really nice colour scheme. Do you think you will be able to shorten it or do you have in mind to pick up a taller body a long the way?

Out of curiosity, I know Pipos suddenly changed the eyes to the sparkle ones but do they also come with the original eyes she was advertised with? I really liked the original eyes

 

I don't think I can shorten it, because 1. I don't sew lol and 2. I don't think it's the type of thing that can be shortened? The skirt has pleats. And it's all made of chiffon or something gauzy so... *helpless gesture* So I'll either need to get a taller body, or a shorter dress.


She only came with the one pair of eyes already installed in her head, although... looking in her box, there's a card that says "handmade doll eyes 16mm snow baby blue"...which I assume is the color she was first advertised with? ...that has two little dots as if there are supposed to be eyes attached to it. *shrug*

It's interesting that you haven't received yours yet... I was surprised I got mine so fast, but she took a little over a month. I hope she comes soon! Did you order through a distributor rather than direct from Pipos?

They originally had these pale purple-ish color eyes only, but they changed to the sparkly ones. Not sure why they changed it, but I wish they kept the original, as I feel like the pale purple suited better But the blue sparkly ones are still pretty too. I just noticed, but they changed the headband style slightly too. The original had this seashell with pearl decoration and purple and white roses, but the one I received and photos with blue eyes had butterfly decoration and blue and pink roses instead.

@Featherfire Were you able to attach the tail with the original dress on? I didn't see a hole in the dress to put the tail through, so I was wondering if you just attach the tail on top of the dress with the magnet on the inside of the dress.

 

@RamenNoodle I didn't get the original dress, I felt like it was "too much" and an expense I didn't need for a dress I didn't like. I also didn't put her tail on yet. But I did get the fullset dress with my other Charlotte and no, they don't have a tail hole. You just attach it through the dress.

They have both headbands (seashell and butterfly) in the pictures on the website, I was wondering which one she was supposed ro come with. Neither one seems to make sense to me lol. I do feel like the pale blue eyes make more sense with a doll who's supposed to be snow themed, but I do love the sparkle ones!

She comes with the butterfly headband. I do wish they gave a heads up on these slight changes though. Overall, I'm still very happy with my Snow Charlotte and her dress

Thanks for confirming the details on the eyes, I was curious if the sparkle eyes were an extra or a replacement so nice to know what to expect

I ordered my snow charlotte direct from Pipos. I am a little surprised my order is taking a while, my previous orders from Pipos shipped within 1-2 months. My best guess is it might be a problem on the shipping side. I had picked up a couple pairs of shoes from Codenoir during their New Years sale and they had to hold the shipping for a few weeks as Hong Kong post had temporary stopped shipping to the UK. So might be Pipos are holding off posting my doll if there is some shipping issues.

While it's very generous of Pipos to do a free upgrade to fancier eyes, I have to admit I prefer the original soft blue eyes. It was the combination those eyes with the face-up that grabbed me. I'm not keen on how the sparkle eyes look in the photos, I probably wouldn't have bought her if the first promo photos were with the new eyes. But I think it may be a case of the eyes looking better in person so definitely curious about seeing them in real life

Does anyone know how Blythe clothes might fit a Cheshire Cat? I heard they fit decently, but I’m having a hard time finding their dimensions online besides just their general heights. I’m not familiar with Blythe at all so I wasn’t sure if it was the original size or middie size that others were referring to. I know the original size is about 7cm taller than the Cheshire’s which is a lot, and the middie is close in height, but their bodies might be too slim?

 

Regular-size Blythe shirts and loose dresses (short sleeve) fit Pi size dolls ok, but they tend to be long. Pants dont fit. Blythe stuff is too hit or miss for me. Madame Alexander 8" clothes fit Pi much better.

 

I heard Blythe clothes are a better fit length-wise for R.Pi... though again, they have to be the kind with no/loose sleeves. I haven't tried it myself because no Blythe clothes I've seen so far have fit Her Majesty's standards.

 

Thanks again for the clothing advice with my Cheshire. I haven’t settled on a name for her yet but her first dress came in and it’s just cuteness overload I’m thinking she might need some eyelashes next.
Realfee sized clothing does seem to work nicely!

@blackcat87 - it is! I love all the Cheshire sculpts. I don't have that one any more (to be fixed as soon as I can, lol!) I have a Star Cheshire who is just so cute with his crazy big toothy grin.

 

I usually just dress my Cheshire Pi in my old Barbie clothes lol (although this is a newer set).

 

I got my Charlotte in yesterday! She's on the new art body with jointed neck, I LOVE it
I thought she could fit blythe clothes, but it's not the case! The snaps on the back don't reach each other by 1cm. I think slim yosd clothes might fit? Maybe bunnynine? Will try to get pics later of her in the blythe dress!

 

Did your Charolette not come with the jewel-eyes? I've noticed it seemed like some did and some didn't?

 

It seems she came with the pink eyes from the 2021 Charlotte edition even though I ordered in 2020. There is a slight shimmer to them and a black pupil. Snow Charlotte was an LE who should come with jewel eyes?

 

Juumou can you tell me what resin colour you ordered. I want Charlotte but I only have the web site to go by. I don’t know if I should go normal or off white. Have you come up with a name yet?

 

I ordered A Charlotte III pure white art body with makeup, tail, beast hands, human hands. She's pretty much paper white. I used to own U.Pi in normal skin and was very happy with the resin color.

This was Rosie in NS in 2014. I'm not sure if their normal skin resin color has changed since. As you can see, the faceup is more 'soft' on the peachier resin than on white-white.

(U.Pi and R.Pi can wear the same clothes and shoes!)

Beast hands are my favorite and I wish I got both open and closed pairs ^^

I think I'll name my new Charlotte Lily Rosie above I had named Lilith, and this Charlotte feels like a grown-up version of her.

 

My Mint Charlotte arrived on 26th of February:




She's absolutely gorgeous and I really like the neck joint of the art body!
The thing that did upset me a bit was that she didn't come with a CoA or the beast hands B-3 that were supposed to be included but I did contact Pipos about it and they said they will send me those. So hopefully they arrive at some point.
I did order the B-1 beast hands which luckily were included in the package. The human hands are very pretty too but I like my anthros to have beast claws if possible.

Her human hands are super delicate and pretty. Too bad you didn't get the ones that were supposed to come with the set though. Crazy that Pipos forgot the CoA! I hope they send those out to you quickly.

My girl Olive just arrived home today after getting a face up/tail blushing! I am so in love with how she turned out!

 

My Deborah arrived today, and I have to say tge dress isn't really fit for her at all. XD it's like a circus tent. What clothes do these guys wear? (30 body), Esp some tights would be great. I just don't know where to look!

I'm currently working with the face-up and bodyblushing for my Charlotte, I really hope she turns out as beautiful as she deserves.
And luckily I already received the paw parts and CoA that were missing from my original order so I don't have to worry about those anymore.

Hello, I ordered a NS Charlotte from Pipos a few days ago, and I can't wait to get her home ! I was wondering how long it takes for a blank doll without faceup ?
Also, I'm planning to make her faceup by myself, and i've looked around to see other custom charlotte, but had few results. Anyone willing to show a Charlotte with a custom / hand made faceup ?
My husband nearl decided me for mint resin, but I was a little afraid about it so I ordrerd a NS one

 

My girl wears mostly Barbie brand clothing. They fit her beautifully.

So yeah, thanks to Fuzzy350 and Olive's profile I discovered that Delilah (and Talia, though they'd fit differently since she's on the short body) can wear Barbie clothes and it's a total gamechanger. I've been on ebay and etsy all day looking for clothes for my girls.



This is the only outfit I had that she'd accept (she doesn't like pants which is all I seem to have?) but it's adorable on her. And she seems to stand better in Barbie clothes too.

My girls Dust and Winter- Winter's tail magnets came loose so I have to do some gluing and she needs her manicure & paw pads painted. I was surprised by the real rabbit fur shrug, and I'm not sure if I will keep her special eyes... They look a bit too ghostly. ;X She's going to get a new outfit soon, and the one Dust is wearing currently is just because her default dress fit terribly, but I'm so happy to have my girls together! ;D

 

Can anyone confirm if the size 16 for eyes is accurate for Charlotte and for a Jr.Pi Cheesemouse? The website lists both as wearing 16s but I'm always cautious because I've had wrong information from companies before lol.

I'm pretty sure the website is accurate. I tried to take a comparison picture with eyes I know are 16mm, but I don't know if you can tell because the picture is crap

As if anyone's eye putty ever looks clean for more than about 2 seconds out of package LOL. This is very helpful. 16s just seem so big for these sizes of doll but I suppose their eyes are much bigger than human dolls are in comparison to their face and much wider so it makes sense. Thank you!

 

Pipos ice cream Rooney is being re released this week.
Only problem is I don’t know what colour to get lol
