This is the first time I hear about Orange Tea Dolls and totally dig them, so beautiful features. @Cydril Ooh, her outfit is so nice! Where is the hat from?
My Pollet finally arrived! I've named her Phoebe. I plan to make her wig today and hopefully, a dress later this week. Does anyone have any advice for getting her to not fold up into a ball? I think maybe her elastic is too tight? or maybe she needs some hot glue? I don't have much experience with BJDs. . by kjanell86, on Flickr
@kjanell86 I've hot glued mine today and it helps a lot! (in the hip and knee joints) I'm not an expert with the hot glue gun myself, so it took me several tryings but in the end the result is pretty good. The hot glue is also useful for the wigs, if the wig happens to be a bit too large or wobbles then some drops of hot glue on the head cap will solve that problem as well
@kjanell86 Oh, no, just pull the leg out of the joint and that's that. Then put a bit of hot glue, spread it with a piece of paper. I do it with my finger or fingernail but it's hot so be careful. It dries super fast though, so don't wait too long either. (don't worry if the glue falls of or you've spread it wrong, it doesn't mean you're doing it wrong, it just takes a bit of practice)
Hi, I'm happy to have tracked down this thread! I have a light tan girl which I'm currently loving and a dark tan girl on the way, she's taking a detour to have a faceup and wig made first! I'll try to find somewhere to host pictures so I can share.
Thank you, she's nothing like I expected, and I totally love it! I'm also waiting for a dark tan girl too... there's something about them!
Violkas are open for preorder again -- just put a deposit on mine! I've wanted one for ages and the Stars have finally aligned.... Violka preorder 1st payment
My pollet is finally here! I have no idea what to dress her in or what shoes/wigs to get her. Currently she is using a blythe top and a curvy barbie bottom.
Oh huzzah! I've been wanting to see owner photos of this one! I am sorely tempted by her! And in that resin color. Looks like you already have a good head start on getting her some clothing.
I post more photos soon. The resin color sold me on her, it's just perfect and it wasn't as expensive as some dark options usually are. About the clothes: I'm trying out all my Blythe stuff on her, the hips are a bit hard to find bottoms, but while some things fit, they aren't the style I want for her.
Curvy Barbie clothing seem to suit her pretty well, size wise. Have you by chance tried any other curvy barbie pieces on her? They have tons of cute barbie clothes on Etsy!
I have a Violka and a Dolka, they are so lovely! They are so different from other dolls, they are very special dolls in my little collection!
I would love to add an orange tea doll to my non-existent, just starting out collection! Still keeping my eyes peeled for a secondhand one! For now, I suppose I can look at clothes and wigs Also, does anyone here have a hybrid? Like an orange tea body with a different head? I would love to see!
There’s actually still some dolls in stock on her website if I’m not mistaken. That’s where I recently ordered my girl.
yeah I did see that! I'm more interested in the body alone and unfortunately she doesn't sell the pieces separately
Wow, I have never heard of Orange Tea, but I am in love!! They're so unique and fun and super cute, I really love the variety.
Sorry it took so long to replay. Yup, the skirt is for curvy barbie, and some of my clothes for the Pullip Family and for Blythe fit her, but I have tons of things that catch her hips and arms. The shoes situation is proving to be the hardest. And on the wig front I'm sending her next month to do custom work, because of the head shape. Some 8-9 fit her, but the slip a lot - I need to get a silicone cap too. *I'll post some pics soon with my discoveries*
It's a regular Barbie dress that's way too big for a regular Barbie lol. It came with one of the petite fashionista Barbies. I think her name is "Style So Sweet"
Mahari by priscilla garcia, on Flickr Mahari by priscilla garcia, on Flickr Here she is! The faceup was done by @theugliestwife. She still hasn't arrived so I've yet to make her a wig. Hope you all love her!
@priscigee007 my pleasure, dear! ❤️ It’s the second girl from Orange Tea Dolls I painted so far and I really love their sculpts. So cute!
I thought I'd post a quick photo of Mahari a little dressed up. I'll be posting more of her tomorrow once her wig is done. Mahari by priscilla garcia, on Flickr

I'M IN LOVE! I love the faceup, the dress and the turban. She looks so soft and adorable and at the same time she looks so real, almost like a real woman. I also really liked the wig and how modern she looks with it - which totally adds to the rl look. *It took me forever to reply, but all the pics are very much appreciated.* My Pollet is almost done, she is currently at line for the face-up. And should be home by the end of the month or so. I'm waiting out to show the wigs I had made for her, because I want to take pics with her done instead of clean faced.

Congrats!!!! I almost got one, but her hips still scare me clothes wise. So I ended up saving my dolly budget for the next year.
Thank you both! I can't wait to try some different skirts on her, but mostly I'm planning on trying to make something using Orange Tea's patterns.
