I'm still deciding on a name for her and she has no eyes, or wig, or clothes yet - but I still find her full to the brim of character! I love this little girl!

Ah, I just discovered yesterday that she fits a pair of Blythe shoes that I had (that were too small for another doll) - sweet!! I am looking for eyes and wig... and thinking about clothes.

I'm so excited for my Violka! I ordered in February and anxiously await her arrival! Just adorable!

 

Any clothes out there that will fit her? Or will I need to make her clothes after I meet her?

 

I have the exact same question, I guess we will find out soon enough!

 

I've paid off my little dark-skinned girl and can't wait to receive her!

My pale girl is still naked at the moment, but I think that tops for smaller dolls would work on her and I'm wondering if YOSD skirts would fit too, probably.

I'm really going to try and learn to sew, though, because this shape deserves some tailor-made clothes to make the most of those curves

 

My Violka shipped today! Any idea how long they usually take to get to the U.S.? So excited!!!

 

Mine was here in one week and I'm in the US. She fits a Puki top and YoSD bloomers. Not quite sure about shoes, she seems too big for PKF size and too small to fit Puki size.

Her name is Val, Val Rhona... (it's a premium chocolate brand in France)

Lucked out and got a light tan girl on layaway! (Sadly I had to rehome her due to finances.).

 

Oooooo OWARI ... I have lots of FUN ideas planned!!! Don't know if I can wait for a layaway. But this time of year is hard on us financially so I'm gonna have to be patient!

This is perfect! Thank you! I put a Violka on layaway yesterday, hoping against hope she'd look good with the Secretdoll Person I plan to bring home at the end of the year Now I'm off to sew some clothes for the strange little dear, as she definitely won't fit anything I've got laying about!

 

Surely some little doll clothes will fit her top and wow I'm excited to start making clothes, shoes and wig patterns for her

Finally paid off my little Violka ... SO IN LOVE WITH HER!!! (Wired her arms and legs, gave her a faceup, made a wig and now she's waiting on clothes!)

Hello hello! I have a question....will this thread be accepting Olivka? I know some sculptors keep all their dolls of a size category in one thread (so all the tinies here?) Or should there be a separate thread made for Olivka?

 

Yay! My Olivka is mostly painted now--just a few details left! Her name is Marcie.

I just made my last payment on a dark tan violka! I can't wait to meet her, I have a few things (a wig, some eyes and a couple outfits) for when she gets here!! Looking through this thread and the flickr page, and there are so many adorable and inspiring pics, I can't wait until she gets to me!

 

How does Olivka compare to dolls from other companies that are about her size? I love her body shapes.

 

I placed an order today for Pollet and I'm looking for things for her. I know it will be quite a while before she gets here, but I just can't resist shopping for dolly things! I'm new to the hobby, so I don't have much experience with sizes, but will YoSD-sized clothes and shoes fit her?

@kjanell86 it recall seeing that info somewhere....can't find it now. Must have been in the Etsy sale page, that is now gone of course.
You could email her and ask! She is very nice.
I hope to get a Pollet eventually, but I had to be sure and snag a blue Violka first. She is currently in limbo after having reached New York on the twelfth.

 

@aernath thank you for your reply! She actually emailed me today about my order and included a picture with Pollet's measurements and some info on clothing & shoes.

I know what you mean about wanting to get your Violka first That's the same way I felt when I saw Pollet. I hope your Violka arrives home soon!

I had some 12mm small iris eyes from Doll Bakery on hand and they fit nicely!

I made her a quick wig last night (bought some alpaca to try and make a better one in blues), and a skirt and top the night before (her first night here).
I realized while taking the cat for a walk (yes...), that we have purple crocus that she might look good with!

Olivka is enjoying the early spring too. She wears Blythe dresses, and they fit OK, except the bust seam sits too high ...

@Cydril Sorry! Just saw your question.
She needs a bit of hot glue sueding. The resin is smooth and this one at least has a fierce desire to sit all the time. lol And a kicky knee. But once you get her settled down, yeah she stands fairly well. Just gotta get some friction in those thigh and knee joints.
I keep forgetting to do that. I got her blue gradient fur in and it took me a day to figure out how to go about making a wig. Now I'm working on getting around to actually making it.

 

A fierce desire to sit, lol! Thats how Olivka is too.

 

Ohhhhhh! I am so upset right now! I went with my husband on a business trip to Oklahoma City, and took my little girl with me, and took some nice photos at the Crystal Bridge botanical gardens.... and the computer just glitched and ate them all!
There looked to be a few really good ones too. Maaaaaaaan.

anyway... so I went out just now and took a photo to see if the computer would eat it too. Looks okay. I had to hold the cable in the computer for it to work though. Looks like I need a new cable.

So! On this trip, I took a piece of real fur and tried my hands at making a wig of it. It was such gorgeous colors, I didn't want to cut any off, there's a layer of lovely teal between the white and blue... so now she's mostly hair!
And I hadn't planned on it, but made her a quick pair of pants with some fabric I had on hand for making an aloha shirt... so they're quite... odd. But they do help a little bit in keeping her legs straight for standing. I still need to suede her hips and knees.
