Hello everyone, this hobby is somewhat new to me. My partner gifted me my first BJD and I think it is perfect for me. It is an unpainted Bor/Eve Dream Valley pet BJD; I will rename it but I haven't thought of something that stuck. Time with my dragon pet has made me really appreciate these beauties. Next thing I knew I am now the owner of TWO dream valley dragons. I wanted its other face plate so badly and they were in the process of being discontinued. It will be home sometime this year
Hello DeerLeggu, and welcome to this amazing hobby and this great community. I hope you have fun customizing your wonderful dolls. Any ideas floating around on the type of looks you want to give them?
Welcome here! The DV pets (and other dolls too) are so creative and cute, can't blame you for falling into our pit Take this as a welcome gift: /threads/the-big-bjd-faq-guide-for-newcomers.850259/
Gosh, I had been on the fence about those little dragons for the longest. Unfortunately, we had to move so I'm hoping to snag a few as they become in-stock items elsewhere. They are adorable though, I can see where one would need more than one. I started out with one Impldoll Colby alligator and now I have 4 of them! Welcome to the BJD universe and may your journey be an exciting one!
Welcome to the community! I absolutely love Dream Valley! I have 3 of their dolls now. Bor was just too cute to resist. I bought him blank so I could try blushing him myself. He turned out really good but I went a little heavy on the eye liner and he looks like a goth now. XD Still learning how to get it right. Can’t wait to see your little guy!
Hi! I’m also new to the community. That is so exciting! I love those little dragons. That is so lucky you were able to find that faceplate before the discontinue! Hope you have so much fun with your dolls
Wow, I looked up Bor/Eve Dream Valley - they so cute! In what color do you plan to paint them? I am also another new member here, so it's really nice to meet you!
Hello and welcome to DoA and the Hobby. BJDs can quickly become an addiction And they seem to multiply.
The blushing and eye liner is a good idea. I might do that. I'm nervous about painting it myself but reading the idea of getting a test head sounds like fun practice
I have an Impldoll doll that I got as a free gift with an order. I struggled finding her a home so I’ve been testing my faceups on her. XD I’m still not very good but my dragon was much easier than a human face. It is always best to practice on something and there are a ton of tutorials on here. I use the sponge on method as I don’t live in a well ventilated area and we’re quite tight on space.
