It is helpful to have all the basic information in one place. I used the wiki here but still had to research a few terms when I started out.

 

This was a glorious read, thank you so much for your hard work! I'm going to bookmark it for future use.

Your guide it so excellent! I was undertaking my own guide to hand out at a presentation I'm giving to a non-BJD doll club the beginning of next month. After reading your guide, I can't imagine creating one that is anywhere near the quality of yours. You offered to allow sharing this with others. Would it be OK for me to hand out printed copies to the club members? I will include your author information and that the information is not to be reused without permission. Is that OK? One other thing I might need to do is add pictures. I will indicate that I've added the pics and include all copyright/source info for any photos. (I was a publishing editor in a previous life, and support creator ownership rights in all instances :-)

Thank you so much for this! This is really helpful for people who are trying to figure out decent spaces to buy their dolls secondhand. When I first started collecting I was so lost so I try to pay it forward when I notice someone is new to the hobby and doesn’t know where to look.

 

I seriously wish I'd found this guide earlier on, because I could have saved myself from several mistakes, and hours of self-questioning on whether I was making a sound choice or not. Thank you so much for putting together such an exhaustive reference, I absolutely appreciate having the overview in areas where I haven't made a mistake I regret yet!
