20–39cm Dolls [Myou Doll] DouDou on 27cm body + Delia head

Now that I officially belong here (mwahahahhah), at least one of the crappy pics of my first BJD arriving were mandatory, after 16 years (sort of? I was a teenager) of pining, five months of waiting, and five days of shipping torture, two of which spent cussing at FedEx's incompetence. She's a Myou DouDou in 1/6 scale, fullset,on the ver.1 27cm body, under advice of a friend, and I cannot thank her enough, because she is ADORABLE. I was afraid she would be disproportioned, but she's just SO, SO cute. She knocked the breath out of me even before I put her outfit on! Next to her, the gift head from this December's event, which I chose to pay a faceup for^^. The body, courtesy of my boyfriend, is the 30cm one and it's his gift to me this year! I ordered through ACBJD, and they were not only very nice, but also gifted me a pair of beautiful brown eyes (with extra putty!) that will go to Delia, even if she already has a pair - the brown really matches the personality I want to give her!


Her name is Delphine^^! I chose blushing on the body, which you probably cannot see from the picture. Although I like the detail in general (the fingernails and toenails with the little white crescents killed me), she looks almost sunburnt here and there? The effect is still pretty cute, but I wonder if it will deteriorate with time. I am glad I didn't choose it on the other body. It makes me less guilty of touching her XD! Her wig has the cutest hairstyle. It's a little tight, but wearable. I wanted this little rascal red-haired with green eyes anyway, so all the terrible photos I took of her after arrival will show a cheeky red-haired cutie XD. Her shoes are absolutely fantastic, but a little too big for her feet. I had to put an Aliexpress pair on her to go with the satiny stockings she comes with, and use a pair of homemade ones if I want to wear the other pair. I had bought a lot of wigs while waiting for her, and quickly discovered the 1/6 girls on a default 30cm body have BIG heads, so non of those fit, which prompted me to buy new ones... you know how that goes. But I'm glad I did, because she looks great!





I think these will be her default wigs from now on, especially the buns. She looks exactly the way I had pictured Delphine to be, except for the eyes - I wanted them to be green, and I have purchased this gorgeous glass pair on Aliexpress a while back, so today I got brave and learned how to detach her head, put her eyes in, then put her back on, it was such a satisfaction. She looks great with the more shoujo-esque eyes from MYou, while with these she's a little more sombre, I think. I miss the deer-like look, but we'll see... I still have to get used to the idea I can switch them whenever I feel like it. Now I just have to make myself a backdrop and stop taking horrible pictures!

 

Thank you!!! after a lifetime of waiting, I haven't been this excited in years! She's very tighly strung XD I'll have to relax the elastic a little, because she's so kicky she doesn't stand!

I think she has the loveliest among MYou faces, and IRL that dress is stunning and SO much better than the promo pics!

Aww thank you!! Her round face is what attracted me to her in the first place, and every time I take her out of her box I'm always a little stunned ever after a month XD and although I probably liked half-sleeping Lorina's fullset more, the style of her original one was SO versatile!

 

Awwww thank you!! You are right, MYou dolls are so pretty, I was expecting her to be very pretty, but she surpassed my expectations! I cannot wait to have the body to mount the Delia head on!!!!!

 

Thank you both! I was a little careful with DElphine's face so she's surrently having it redone, but they both are my favourite gals in my collection, I'm so happy to have them, and to have chosen the smaller body for one of them!
