Muscular female dolls- who wants one?

Iplehouse needs opinions to make Hercules girl body so now we need to vote as the muscle girl thread on their own forum has received so much support so maybe they'll now make one strong girl for us if it gets most votes !!!

I wrote them this, my personal suggestion. Seems like someone else also linked this model's gallery to them

The height could be 67-70cm but please make sure that old EID heads don't look too small in scale if you make 70cm body as it needs slightly bigger proportions/taller legs and taller torso part.

And some of my personal opinions.
-not too heavy leg muscles, it's easier to make fitting clothes when the legs aren't gigantic even though they need some detailing as well.
-slightly thicker neck goes better with muscles, so please pay attention to it so it's not too skinny but it should fit old heads too.
-Would be wonderful to get small bust size among M and L bust because not all fitness girls have big boobs. I'd personally choose very small bust for my girl.
-if you want to add visible veins, please make them softly so they don't catch too much attention
-when making a head, do not make too young looking and innocent girl, some dolls like Scarlet, Rebecca, Zera and Raffine have better and mature faces for example. Please avoid too round and cute face, she could have stronger jawline but not like a man, just softer and elegant.
-Please make some hand parts she can hit things, like you made for Bichun karate/boxing hands"

 

I took the liberty of pointing them towards Claudia Black as Aeryn Sun (back in the good old Farscape days).

Although I may have doomed myself there. If they do make a doll based on Aeryn, there's no way I'd get out of buying her.

 

I am wondering what sizes people are wanting their athletic/superhero/strong women to be? Personally I'd really enjoy an average old school 60 cm height, but I can imagine that people would want their women to be able to compete with all the 65/70cm beefcake guys.

 

I don't even want muscular male dolls, let alone muscular female dolls

This is the type of doll I love to see but would not love to own. I would love to see female dolls like Xena the warrior princess but more than that is a no (I just don't like the physical culturist look on both genders).

Oh wow, indeed! Aaah what a gallery~~*drool* Well, it's great that now Iple knows that she could be a perfect body inspiration. (and I'm not the only one praising her look there haha!). I didn't even know that Impldoll is also inspired to make muscle girls? That's fantastic if they do. I have one idol body at home and getting another, but those stronger girl doll body types must get more attention in the future ( I hope..) but I feel very hopeful and positive about Iple's incoming HID-W. I'd be very sad if people who prefer lean/non muscular look just defend that women are not meant to be strong or physically bigger and Iple decide to leave the body just EID-like and very "let's play safe" common girl body look blargh so boring =_= they can buy SID and EID bodies like before.. let's just not ruin it from ppl who want something _different_ even once, more choices are always better and there'd be something for everyone.

I'd personally need her to be 67-70cm, the best for me is 68-69cm so she'd be slightly taller than my 65cm girls (It's just so annoying that they're like copies height-wise, that's not realistic imo.. I have tried to put them different shoes to make even few cms differences!). And 65cm looks so short next to 75cm guy too, it's realistic but not all women are short and tiny anyway.. xD

It's lovely that you still would like to see them or just support the idea! I personally don't like skinny boys such as Dollshe's old male sculpts and their bodies but I'd never speak rudely about them for people who love them. Variety!

Therefore shortly: You are invited to make this happen! as Iplehouse is designing their HID female body, there's finally a possibility to get a muscular female doll which would be sculpted carefully (you know, it's Iple..) and with a height like 65-70cm. Please visit here, log in/make an account and write them your thoughts OR write your thoughts about muscular Iple girl here on doa and we'll link this thread to Iplehouse. They have already mentioned "bigger or muscular" on a poll #2 so there _is_ a possibility and they need to know are people interested to buy one and which kind. Never hurt to beg?

I would really want one that is 58-60cm like most other SD girls.
Big dolls are often too heavy for their elastic and end up annoyingly floppy because of it.

And working out doesn't make you taller so being average height with the rest of my crew would actually be best/ make more sense.

 

You know... as soon as I read the title I was like, "NOPE!"

Then I really thought about it... I would. I can't remember her name, but there is a GIF on Tumblr of this beautiful blonde European girl lifting & I remember the remarks in the comments saying that she looks like a goddess & she did. Ugh. Her body was so bold & beautiful.

 

My girls or boys aren't too floppy or too heavy for elastics/posing... they're well strung with enough big elastics + sueding and I don't have a single 60cm doll but at meet ups I haven't felt they'd magically pose better, it's the jointing, engineering etc, not the size alone :'D

 

I think I might! Especially if Iplehouse makes her.

I think having a superhero female character is awesome! I just don't have much of a desire for having a muscular female doll myself.

 

This is just super exciting. I just really hope she's at least 70-72cm and available in all colors. There are no female dolls in that range and a well-made, fierce-looking female in that size would be an answer to my dolly prayers!

 

I'd fall under 3. I have no real plans right now for one but if there was one on the market, I'd probably be all over her. Especially if I could get her in a dark skintone! Like a nice chocolate color

 

2 for me! I have actually become interested in sculpting my own BJD, and when this interest was fist kindled, it was because I never found any buff girls. I think she would have softer muscles than guys, and probably be more full than most girls.

 

same for me! shorter or more gentle guy bodies, ambiguous bodies, stronger female bodies, I want them all I'm working on my own muscled lady right now but I'm really wishing for more companies to jump on the bandwagon. It'd be really cool to see different styles and types of musculature next to each other.

I'm guessing that if Iplehouse gives into our request they will work towards a fitness/body builder type of frame. Personally I'm more a fan of less showy/more athlete type of muscles. (think Camille Leblanc-Bazinet 01 02 03 *-*)

1 and 2! She would be perfect for my Greenie, also I'm a sucker for a girl with muscles. They're really hard to find, but so far I like AOD's muscular ladies.

 

I can't remember the exact doll, but it was such a nice balance of muscle and curves, she's so pretty!

 

Yep yep yep yep. Want one and have a character already. I'm probably going to mod it myself (as the Iple would be too tall for my collection, I think)...

Or maybe I'll be positively suprised and they'll make one around 65cm.

I've got a character I'd really like to make into a doll and she'd look so much more accurate with a muscular body. I've been looking but I haven't found anything that really strikes me yet. The few I've seen look more like a body builder body and I'm looking more for professional gymnast or dancer type of muscles. I just want a female doll with defined muscles, not necessarily bulk.

 

You said dancer, any of these strike your fancy?

I've had an idea for a troll girl for so long, A muscular and feminine body would be perfect for her character.

 

1) I would love a muscular female doll. Aside from some from Doll Chateau I don't really like any of the BJDs I've seen, at least not enough to buy them, primarily due to a lack of varied body types, particularly in muscle tone. One of the only characters I have who I'm interested in shelling into a doll in the future just wouldn't work in a standard shell, she would definitely need a large amount of muscle.
I was really disappointed to learn that the nobility doll order went so badly, as it's the only female doll I've seen at all that is muscular enough for what I'm looking for...

 

I think Iplehouse will do a great work with the female HID. They are very good with anatomy.

One of my characters is a toned, but not overly muscular girl from the 1850's who knows 7 different styles of martial arts. Keeping my fingers crossed Iplehouse will make a body like this in the 60cm-62cm range since she is canonically shorter than the two guys.

I've been interested in Twigling's body for that very reason. It's one of the few bodies out there that is something other than voluptuous. Not that it isn't that but the musculature is different from other doll bodies which too often are merely sexy. Not that there's anything wrong with that but it would be nice to have a seriously muscular body. I remember seeing that someone was trying to make an overweight body but it wasn't very well designed from the looks of it. That would be interesting too.

 

1!! I've actually sort of given up my search so at some point I'm gonna get a beefy dude and mod her (it's ok if she looks a bit masculine... ) I adore beefy girls from an aesthetic standpoint, and its so disappointing at the lack of them !

I would absolutely love a muscular female doll and think it should 100% be an option but given my current finances I'd probably have to go with #3.

I actually have a female character that is all buffed up and stronger than some of my male characters, but her body unfortunately doesn't show that.
She's on an EID body and she always has layers and layers of clothes to make her appear bigger, but as soon as you undress her you see how slim and smooth she is.

However, it's too late now anyway.
Can't really re-shell her, so I have to accept that I'll never get my buff sniper :C

 

1! It would be great to have a female doll who was muscular. I tend to enjoy dolls that are more on the realistic side. Having more diversity in the body types of female dolls is always a good thing!

 

Definitely category 1. By like 100 %. I would love a big beefy strong female doll. I have a very precious OC who is an Orc and I would love to shell her out into a doll.

This body would be perfect for her. Like my dream muscle female sculpt. Its the tiny bust, sat ontop of her muscles.

I'm currently in the process of looking for a body that would fit one of my characters, though I won't be able to buy for a few months. I'd like her to be around the 60-65 cm range as she's short (most of my dolls are 70cm+), and she has to be strong. She's a warrior/mage protector, so a little muscle wouldn't hurt. I guess I'm a little flexible on the height because I haven't written that book yet, but she can't be too far off from my other dolls.

I was thinking about taking male arms/legs and sticking them on a female body, but I have a feeling I'd have difficulty finding arms that would fit in the shoulder sockets

 

I think this new body by Fantasia is also quite muscular and toned: New Doll - FANTASIA has released new bodies "Elder Woman"
