Me me me me me! Devotion Doll's 75cm body dropped a few days after I reentered the hobby. They're releasing a full doll with head sometime in April and I can't wait to see what she looks like. I don't collect super big dolls, though, so I'm swinging between possibly picking up this one or making a hybrid with a smaller 1/3 muscular body and I head I like, which I've never done before.

Also on my possibilities list is getting a boy head for a muscular girl body; I'd love to have a muscular girl with a stronger jaw and nose. But then I get into the struggle of making sure necks fit and proportions are right, and that's a lot of learning I'd have to do. Worth it in the end, though, I'm sure...

Either way this thread is going to be SO useful for finding muscular girl body options, I'm so glad to have found it!

 

Yesssss I’m doing that with the Devotion Doll body! And also probably the Miracledoll 76 body. If you’re looking for a smaller body, the nobilitydoll body is not well-designed from a jointing standpoint, but I think it’s ~60 cm. And if you put it in tight pants, the butt dislocates less often than in regular pants. The next shortest I think is the Impldoll bodies (old star is ~65, new slim muscle model is like 63). It’s interesting that they make all the big buff ladies also super tall!

 

The Nobilitydoll body has more boobidge than I'm looking for, and after reading Rosslyn's posts about all the modding they had to do on their initial model I think I'm gonna keep waiting and pining (unless I get Real good at modding Real fast loool). But the abs!!! Praise to the ABS. The Impl is I think my next best option, I just wish her arms and legs had some more muscle! Devotion Doll's just nails my artistic tastes so unbelievably well.

I totally understand the impulse to make them huge, as a certified Huge Woman Enjoyer; if someone modeled a body off of Ilona Maher's I would break my computer hitting the purchase button. Proportionally, though, I'd love to be able to have photos of her interacting with my 60cm boy and my 40cm girl, and I think the 75 would make them look like homunculi hahahaaa

 

Yesssss the abs are divine on that body. I’m not even trying to mod her, she’s just eye candy (and the mc of a novel I’m working on)

Devotion Doll is beautiful. I almost bought two of them, because I like them that much. I’m also a certified huge woman enjoyer (I’m 5’3 and my girlfriend is 6’ so I come by it honestly!).

if you wanted comparison photos, I have a 75cm boy I could photograph with an angel philia hybrid (~48 cm) and a 60cm girl (all my boys are bigger, or smaller) to give you an idea of scale. If he’s got a bigger head, he might look young but proportionate. If he’s smaller headed and realistic, he’d probably look pretty funky with her—like you’ve said!

 

When I get the MiracleDoll 76 and the Devotion Doll in, I’m going to do a pic of all of the muscle ladies I have—including my ladies that are on modded “male” bodies, as a contrast.

 

When I started off I've found myself planning hybrids a lot. I really loved that there were more fit female bodies and I loved MD's Zhi Sheng and the DF-H 68cm body was great too. But I've noticed that with boy heads (unless they're designed to be androgynous or very young and soft) there isn't just a more angular jaw, but other very typical male landmarks like a much stronger brow and a more prominent corner of the jaw as well which are very very masculine traits. You don't see these in a front view, but when I'd see my picks in profile they looked very obviously male, so the result would've been much less like an androgynous/masculine girl and more like man-head-pasted-on-woman-body. I never felt convinced. As you mentioned another struggle is the necks which often end up gapping by like 2-3cm. So I think for the best results one needs to get ready to mod things a bit.

 

Both the pronounced brow and the heavier jaw corner are traits that women close to me have—it’s just that only some of those women are cisgender. If you want to make the head look more like a conventionally attractive cisgender woman, it’s possible to sand down brows and jaw corners to be less pronounced, but for me, that would defeat the purpose of using those masc heads in the first place. I want those stronger features on the women I’m shelling, and I don’t think those features can’t look good on women, especially paired with a femme body.

My perspective could be based on the fact that I have very feminine features, and I dress feminine, but I’m not a woman, and I wish I had more masc features so that I looked less cisgender while presenting feminine, so a bit of how these dolls look is wish-fulfillment.

 

ALL of this, time a thousand; I think those are features that look stunning on a woman, and they're also ones I'd love to have myself. Wish fulfillment, artistic sensibilities, and just seeing features I think are beautiful are all things I'd love to explore in this hobby, and I'm so thrilled to come back from a doll hiatus to find a lot more options than when I left!

Left (pink hair) is a 58 cm Youpladolls Lilith (Cole), middle is a 75cm Dollshe Rey/DFA 75cm hybrid (based on Paradise Lost Satan), and right is a ~48 cm dollzone Elena/Angel Philia type H body (Toni).

IMO, both of the shorter dolls look pretty short compared to the 75. Toni especially does not look like an adult with the height difference, the same way I (age 26) don’t look like an adult beside my cousin, who is 6’5 (I’m 5’3). She is an adult character-wise, as a vampire who was sired at 21, in the 1540’s, (just in case anyone was worried about her character’s age based on her outfit!)

Cole, at closer to 60 cm looks a little more in scale with him, in that they could pass for a really short lady, and a really tall guy. I think the DevotionDoll girl would look tall, but not impossibly tall with the other characters.

I'm joining the thread kind of late lol.

I'm planning on purchasing a Miracle Doll "Zhi Shen" b0dy for my character (she'll will be a hybrid). I've been doing some serious research on which b0dy would fit a Pygmalion "Libra" h3ad and thought maybe Miracle Doll would be beautiful, but I'm kind of in the dark regarding the resin match, like, should I order her on normal pink or tan to match Pyg's WS resin? lol.
If someone could enlighten me, I'd be profoundly thankful.

I saw all the amazing, strong and fierce BJD women you have shared here and I was even more inspired to build my character as a muscular girl.
Interestingly, I wasn't much of a "female BJDs" collector, the majority of my dolls are men or genderless, but since I started to write professionally I felt the urge of shelling my female chars hence bringing more diversity to my collection.

Do you know of any other colours that match with pygmalion doll’s WS—I wouldn’t usually expect WS and tan to be a match, even though I’ve heard miracledoll’s light tan shade is barely different from their NS. I don’t own miracledoll NS, but I could compare their white to any other shades I have, if you can find some other colours that it’s known to match. I’ll also have their NS in 6 months, when I get my 76cm body in!

also, don’t worry about having to censor words when you write things here—head and body are very common words that get used a lot, and there’s no algorithm on this forum at all, so there’s no risk of your post disappearing because you said body. In other threads, I’ve talked about magnet penises and nothing untoward happened!

So, I have a Granado zen body in NS and it matches nicely with Pyg's WS (though I had to work the faceup). I was doing my researches regarding Miracledoll and saw a few doll collectors in YouTube who own. One of them owns a NS and the other a tan. The light in both videos gave me the impression of MD's NS to be very light whereas their tan seemed more of a NS imho, therefore my confusion lol.
Both my Pygmalions are in WS, but their resin looks like a NS with an expressive rosy undertone.

I’m not sure if any of these have better resources than you’ve found on YouTube, but I won’t be able to do my own comparisons to NS for probably 6 more months, and I don’t own Granado or Pygmalion doll NS. I do own Resinsoul NS, but it’s dyed dark purple, so I can’t do comparisons with it.

@Inari I really like it! The posing is good, though I'd like to get kips for her shoulders since the only hold up-down poses and not outward ones. Her legs only bend so far due to being muscular, but I don't mind. Its heavy from the extra bulk of muscle definition and being a bit taller. I want to make her some sleeveless dresses to show off those arms!

Devotion Doll enthusiasts, 6anli has posted pictures of the head they've made to go with the 75cm Vigorous body! She's called Siva and she's absolutely gorgeous.
I'm still on the fence about breaking into a new size category, but I'm enchanted. She looks so cool. I love her narrow eyes, her pointed chin, and her strong nose bridge.

 

Ohhhh she’s beautiful. Not instantly sparking a character for me (thankfully—I have so many layaways going right now, I need a break!) but I can’t wait to see how she looks with other faceups, and styled in other ways!

I finally got a head on my Doll Family-H muscular girl (wow, those bodies are strung tight). The body is crying out for leather armor, so I might do that next.

 

Ohhhh that body would look spectacular with leather armour. Are you planning on using real leather, or doing foam/apoxie/something else

 

Real leather, it's actually easier to work with than synthetics.

 

That’s really cool!! I bet it lasts a lot better too, if you take care of it. I just inherited a pair of leather boots that are virtually pristine, and they’re older than I am. It ages well!!!

 

Agreed, you don't get the plasticizer problems, peeling etc.

SartoriaJ did it too, with their 65 Ath body—it’s pretty understated, and about as muscular as an iple HID girl, but it’s nice to see an effort!

I admit that it's not as muscular as Miracledolls' but I love the definition of her arms

 

As former ( natural ) bodybuilder competitor I like some muscle on a doll or figure but not the steroid version of either sex. I like a realistic body for my dolls.

I had this bookmarked as soon as I saw it on IG. Wish there was more information though because I'm curious about how the maximum sized bust would look even if I would go for small, perhaps medium bust myself. She would make the best girlfriend counterpart to Devotion Doll's Vigorous75F (as my OCs in mind are a battle couple). And with heels, she can stand taller than her masc-leaning partner just like in canon

I recently ordered from Miracle doll, they have a couple muscle girl bodies. I hate their 1/4 heads so much though and Ive never done hybrid doll before. But I have to now

 

Miracle Doll bodies/heads have thick neck bases - they hybrid with Iplehouse perfectly.

Head swap: Miracle Doll Zhi Shen head on Iplehouse nSID body, and Iplehouse Doria on MD 70 cm muscular body:

Though I already ordered a Telesthesia Du Xiaoju Head. Measurements say it should be a good fit. It was literally the only head LegenDoll had that looked like it would fit. Thankfully I love the sculpt.

I just hope the resin colour is a good match too!

Iplehouse doesn't sell their heads separately, so T&D is also the smarter choice financially!

 

I would actually love some muscular ladies in my house! The two things stopping me from adding them are that A) most muscular girl bodies are far larger than what I like (I'm firmly in the 58-65cm camp when it comes to my preferences) and B) many muscular girls only have the underbust torso joint for posing. I prefer waist joints, but I can tolerate underbust joints if there's also a joint on the hips, which many companies seem to forego in order to not break up the ab sculpting.

I have faith that my dream muscle lady will exist someday!

 

The only muscle girl I can think of in that size range is nobilitydoll’s, and beyond not having a hip joint/waist joint, her jointing could best be described as a nightmare. I have to always keep her in tight pants so her butt doesn’t dislocate

 

I requested a custom 60cm muscular girl body from Resinsoul and she has the underbust and hip joint. I'm the opposite of you though- I wish i'd thought to ask them not to give her a hip joint because i find them so frustrating! But they can make one if that's of interest to you, and the customization fee was very reasonable too!

 

I love this body so much. I have a Karlach from BG3 head I might hybrid with this? The dying it red might be a nightmare but the body shape looks perfect for her.

My other idea was to 3d print one. I don’t know modeling though, so I would have to commission it.

 

Tbh, vivid red is pretty easy to dye! It’s a nice vibrant saturated colour, so you just put the resin in the pot and let it take in colour—it’s not finicky like grey where you’re constantly neutralizing undertones, or like light colours where you’re dipping in 5 second increments. Vivid red is easily achieved with Dyemore racing red (I’ve done it like 4 times)
