I found a different site called Miro doll, but couldn't find shipping time or time estimate. please respond soon thnx
I found Miro doll to be pretty quick as far as wait times go. Both times I ordered from them it was a little less than two months of a wait. They're a very nice company.
thank you for your response, I didn't think I'd get any responses until the end of the month. I needed some because they have a 40% off sale it's really nice. So thanks
I heard that it takes about a month currently for them to make and ship. They are having a good sale! ETA: I am leaning towards purchasing a lili. She's so cute and very affordable. The only "problem" that I have with her is that she is a smiling sculpt, and I do not like smiling sculpts due to their rather fixed expression of emotion.
When I ordered from them, (2 Dolls in fantasy colors and shoes, the shoes were amazing by the way!) it took about 45 days to ship. they were super fast. Packing is nice, they come in padded green drawstring bags and like a minty green box. But for some reason the box stunk really bad.. Anyway... they usually ship fast. and they almost always seem to have a sale going on in some form or another.
I have an order on lay-a-way with them. They don't start production of the dolls until you have paid them off completely. They told me they would take about 30-40 days to make once I finished paying off my lay-a-way. Hope this helps. I'm getting a mirodoll 62CM Wind with faceup and a 1/4 Lili head with faceup. They're giving out free bodies if you order over x amount of $$ too. So technically I'm getting two dolls for the price of one. Getting a bunch of shoes, too.
Mirodoll Discussion board: Mirodoll Discussion - Part V ! Mirodoll Waiting room: /threads/miro-doll-waiting-room.555704/page-42#post-11893674 And there's a feedback thread for them too: Miro Doll Product Review Welcome to the club!
How long does Mirodoll usually take for production of a doll body? I can't find it on their site. Any info would be great thanks!
I don't know any specifics, but I have heard that they a actually fast. And the Etsy crowd seems to agree. I don't know if their Etsy orders are faster or slower than just ordering off of their site. Etsy :: Your place to buy and sell all things handmade
I've ordered from Miro before and I had to wait two months for my doll to be shipped, since the order was placed during their New Year holidays. Mirodoll usually has an average wait time of a month.
I only had to wait for a month when I bought just a torso. I waited two months when I ordered three full bodies. They seem pretty fast so I'm happy with those times. You probably won't have to wait too long if you're just ordering one.
Miro shipped my doll (with faceup) two weeks after I ordered. I've seen three to six week averages from others on the forum, though.
What is the average wait time for Mirodoll? I ordered some in stock dolls from them and am just curious. However, I am a bit worried that they are not answering ANY of my communications with them for about a month (this was before I ordered a few ays ago). I have sent emails from three different email addresses and even found them on Etsy and tried to contact them there. So far, I have not received a reply to my questions what-so-ever. The questions don't really matter now since I ordered from them a few days ago, but the silence is unsettling! A little worried, Anshi
@Anshishoku The lack of communication does not seem typical of Mirodoll. Maybe you can ask others in the Mirodoll Waiting Room Thread if anybody has experienced this problem. The waiting room seems to be currently active and users are reporting a quick turnaround time even for made-to-order dolls. I hope that these other users can help answer your questions and your order will arrive soon!
For those of you, like me, who can't get ahold of Mirodoll, they responded within minutes via their facebook messenger.
I ordered my doll on August 8th, and I'm still waiting! But I'm very impatient! Although it has only been a month, I've been checking everyday just in case the processing has changed. Sadly, it hasn't!
I actually just got Lili and I find she is very beautiful. I am with you though on the fixed expression. Maybe if you paint her eyes in a more serious way it would help. My theme for her is to do a dark Alice, so I didn't want her smiling either. But she's actually not ad "smiley" as some other dolls I've seen.
Cant say about doll wait time, because I only ordered 1/3 and 1/4 "in stock" shoes , but they delivery is the fastest I ever seen. From payment till receiving in Europe (!) is only 4 days. Also they reduce price in invoice as I asked, so package didnot stuck on custom
The only time they replied to me was when I sent my inquiry via their Facebook page. They have not replied to any of my emails either. I am very impatient as well! It's been a little over a month and their website still says "processing." In their FB page, they said that it usually takes them 4 to 6 weeks to make the dolls, I ordered mine with face up so that is probably the reason why it's taking longer.
also don't forget Chinese New Year - holidays lasted about a fortnight and it slowed not only the factories but the shipping, so there will be a massive backlog of shipping in the ports now too - I'm sure mirodoll are doing their best to catch up but there are lots of other variables which slow down the doll-making process, like staff leaving and having to train new staff (often happens after a national holiday) and just the weather can slow down the time taken for resin to harden off. I'm sure you won't have to wait 7 months though - my last Dollzone doll took that long - by the time he arrived I'd forgotten I'd ordered him LOL
I do really hope it won't take 7 months! Yea if I have to wait that long I would have forgotten as well. Thanks for the input Elve.
Perfectly said, @elve! And faceups do add extra time. But Mirodoll has some decent painters, so that is nice. @Chrissy_Dream, what did you order?
@Chrissy_Dream in the Miro discussion thread, Mangotree says they'll be closed for a little while due to a death in the family.
I ordered a 1/3 Mirodoll Wind. Oh no, that is truly sad to hear . That might mean I might not get my doll for several months *sighs*. Just my luck . Thanks for the info. Just wondering which discussion thread is it?
I like A sale doll at Mira doll, how much is it to ship a 60cm doll and head? It doesnt list that anywhere. Need to tally it up to see if I can squeeze enough $ for it.
It depends on your location I think. I live in Melbourne, Australia and shipping cost me around $50 USD. That is for 60 cm doll and 1 pair of 1/3 shoes.
I really worry about destiny of $889. I paid for order at 12.22 and still waiting. They ignore emails from the beginning of March. I had a suspicion that I run the risk of losing goods and money. In the previous new year's event I received the same volume of goods very fast. I'd like to know what's going on. I read about their problems in the family. But then why they open new events, if you can't cope with the volume of incomplete orders? I'm in big hesitation.
I just ordered my first bjd from them, and I'm happy to know it doesn't take too long to get them. I'm super excited to have my first BJD!!
I made my first order from Miro on the 7th and I'm glad I popped in to see what others experienced for wait times. I was starting to get concerned and wondered whether I should try to contact them. I know now to cool my jets. Come to think of it I ordered during their promotion too. More reason for my wait to be a little longer then.
I sent a message to Mirodoll asking when will they ship my Mirodoll Lili. I ordered her March 29. They responded that It will take 4-6 weeks for production and 1-2 weeks for the faceup (I ordered her with faceup). But I want to know how long it will take for my doll to get here when they ship it.
Thank you, guys, for useful advice. Facebook of company is really alive. Yesterday I received the second part of my order. The waiting time was more than 5,5 month. I must say that the quality of the product is terrible even for a budget company (I compare with the quality of items from this company in previous years). But that's another story. I am happy that this quest was finally over.
I ordered a mirodoll wind 60cm in early February the site still says processing when I look at the status should I start to worry plus I'm a little impatient.
Paine-Foxclaw, perhaps? This is my first order from them and while it has taken a long time, I ordered long after you. My order has finally begun shipping this week. It s a little ironic because I had been lying in bed that morning thinking about how long it'd been in processing and wondering how much longer I should wait before contacting them. Roll out of bed, grab my phone, check the emails...oh! It shipped! Yaaaaaaaaay! Now I just have to wait for it to make its way here from Hong Kong.*grump, sigh, sit back down*
Paine-Foxclaw, don't hesitate to contact them. It seems to me I would not have received my order in a year if there were no active reminders. I waited a little less than six months. This is an absolute anti-record for the entire time of a hobby.
I would message them. I messaged them a few times and it took a while to get a response. But, I eventually got one. They can be a little slow, who wouldn't be after a family death? but, they seem to be trying. I go my second order from them (I'm still waiting on my first one). It only took about a 3 weeks for my second order to arrive. My first order is on about 8 weeks.... They said the time variance is due to the resin colors being in stock, and sanding/finishing time, which makes sense. They also let me know that a face up can add up to 2 weeks on an order (And apparently thats 2 weeks per face up). But I would most defiantly contact them through Facebook. They responded really fast and got me the answers I was looking for.
I recently got my order from January, so about four months. I think this was exceptionally long for them though (it was a big order). They seem to be getting themselves back on track. @Paine-Foxclaw they've been very responsive to emails.
I just received an email from them that my doll was finally shipped Yay! Im so excited because this is my first BJD. It took about 11 weeks to ship because I got her with faceup. Also, I had to check with them and email them asking when would they ship my doll since It was taking longer than I anticipated, they answered within 2 days and they were very honest and said it would take 2 weeks more. I waited 2 weeks and here I am! The shipping company said that It would take 3 days so thats even more exciting!
