@ATBryant aaaaand now i've decided I really want a Constantin fullset, and the preorder is over, and I have asked and they may not ever be produced again! Woe.

 

Oh no! Did the artist mean the fullset or the entire sculpt is discontinued? Either way, it sucks

 

She said she is working on a new doll and is not sure whether any more constantin will be produced or not. My fault for procrastinating I guess but I’m still disappointed

SisterFox Princesses Lily is all about the wearing of the green this time of year. So Happy St. Patrick's Day (a few days late) and Happy Spring. (I look forward to warmer weather and the return of toilet paper to my grocery store's shelves.)

 

Since we are talking about Constantine, I will show you my own. Being in self-isolation, he hangs out with his figures, although he would rather hang out with friends.

I got 6mm glass eyes for two of my gang recently, so only one of my dolls needs different eyes. I know which ones I want for him, I just need to order them. I'm having a heck of a time finding the right wigs for three of them. I ordered a Leeke World 4-5 for one of them, and its perfect- except that its huge. And the company doesn't make it any smaller. And although I like the Monique wigs I have, finding one in the right style and color in the right size is a challange.

 

A group of friends gather to celebrate Easter. My dolls exist in an alternate universe that has never heard of social distancing.

Thanks @El BJD! I thought of having them all wear face masks, but I was already cross-eyed after finishing the tiny pink dress. (That doll is probably 1/8 scale.) I could barely see to take the photo, much less make 7 tiny masks.

 

It's nice to see faces without masks! How tall is the little one?

@vermont chick, great company, good when all together! I liked the idea of little masks and will try to make them for my dolls.
Meanwhile, somewhere in Moscow, the third week of self-isolation continues.

@abris - Thanks. I love your photo! Great pose with great props--I wish I could find enough in-scale props to put together a room setting that makes sense.

 

I just stumbled upon a Chinese doll maker I don't know anything about called "口口尢乙". They seem to have a line of tiny dolls that look like they could be sisters to Dollzone's 19cm special tinies. I can't read a thing, but was wondering if anyone knows about them?

Grandao is making tiny Lucifer again!

 

I'm not very familiar with Granado Lucifer dolls but they're one of the few male sculpts that I've seen in the mature tiny 1/6 group. Thanks for sharing that they are available, @Leo Pheonix. I'd love to see photos of a Granado Lucifer with Maskcat Feline or MYou Gina. These are the two mature tinies that I'm waiting for. It would be great to get them a male friend to hang with

Thanks so much for the photos, @Idoru. I like him a lot. Even though there's a height difference they do look proportionally OK together - maybe father and daughter as Nancy suggested. I'm thinking very seriously about getting a Lucifer now. Where did you get his clothes, if you don't mind me asking?

 

@Hmac58 I made the shirt and pants actually! The shoes I got from a Taobao store, I'm afraid I don't remember which one. I do agree that they look good together! As far as their characters go she is supposed to be fairly young, so I think it works.

 

Wow, his clothes look great! . I'm very impressed. Sewing in such a small scale is not easy.

 

Taking photos of my older dolls brings back such good memories. Limwha Mari is still one of my favorite dolls.

Just saw a fullset Mini Gem that i recognized as one of the old Uyoo releases on eBay for a great price (i think it was originally called Angel Uyoo or something, it was the elf-eared Uyoo wearing an angel outfit.) She’s one of the really lovely sets Soom did with this sculpt between like 2005 and 2008, other notable examples including Glory of Love, Arch of Triumph, Super Song, Quiet Rabbit and Sparkling Forever. one of you other good 1/6 people give her a loving home before I cave ;A;

I just went to look for the listing on Soom’s site and i guess they took it down :-( that’s my reminder to save the ones that are still up and rehost them somewhere so they don’t go the way of so many old company photos (currently I’m trying to hunt down ANY company photos of 1/4 Orientdoll, aka Migi’s pre-Migidoll work, and kicking myself for not saving them.)

 

@abris - I'm in love with your grandma Marfa. It's nice to see a sculptor approach an older character with dignity. Russian sculptors are amazing.

Congrats @SteamWitch ! Those two MiniGems sure are tempting. Galileo gave me a little nudge, too. I hope you get them in time for Christmas. The only dolls I've received since the world went into quarantine are dolls that were already in the US. That hasn't stopped me from ordering. There's going to be some kind of traffic jam when all these packages finally get the go-ahead to travel.

I would probably have gotten Galileo too, but they ended the order period sooner than they originally said. I'm now hoping for a tiny version of Raguel. I'm also hoping for another order period for Bardo Research Thel and Atelier Momoni Kitty M.

 

Belladonna Chanterelle is an Illusion Spirit ‘Spirit’. Her wings never did get sent from the company before they closed up shop so she’s always been really cranky and more trixy because of it. Wig is an old one from Volks for Dollie+ and needs more rehab.

 

Aww! Poor girl! It looks like LullabyBayWings on etsy makes some nice wings. Perhaps she could find something she likes.

 

Is anyone familiar with Metis Doll Alice and Bella? I've been lusting after them for ever, but the fact that they come blank has put me off until now....But today I found the perfect face up artist that has actually worked on them multiple times!

 

@Viridiansummer - Totally unfamiliar with them but I like what I see. The top photo gives off a distinctly DollsTown vibe. Love the faceup on the bottom photo. Are you going to get one? I want to see lots of photos if you do.

Their site is kind of light on information, but at least there are some pictures of the bodies and some measurements.

There are also some mini-sized girls and what looks like 1/3-scale boys, but that's not for here.

 

I was thinking of ordering. It appears that all payments go through etsy.

 

The Metis dolls are so pretty, this is definitely going on my wishlist for 2021, but I don't understand the measurements because I can't read Chinese. I saw 24cm, looks like that's the height. The head circumference (9cm) and feet length (2.3cm.)

Edit: The symbols in google translate look similar. I guess the chest is 10.2cm, the waist is 7.8cm and the hips are 10.7cm. The rest I have no clue what it stands for.

 

If you Google "translate photo" there are some websites that will translate it for you.

The boys are stunning! I thought they were 60cm+ as well, because of the price, yikes! That's the most expensive mature tiny I've seen thus far. Really bad for me, as he is really the right size and aesthetics to tempt me, but that price... Not that that they are not worth it, I'm just not sure I want to pay that much for a 28cm doll, when I paid way less than that (if memory serves) for my Fairyland Chic Line Rou, and he's 41cm tall. That's 13cm less for $$$ more . It's way more frustrating, because he's 28cm and the aesthetics are just righ, but I'm not really sure I want a doll that small for that much (I do prefer smaller dolls, so it's way more frustrating than if it was a 60cm+, because then I wouldn't want him at all!). >_<;;;

 

Oh, gosh, yes, I was also assuming 1/3 scale because of the price! They really are lovely boys - I will have to think about this.

 

I've been yearning for metis mini bella/alice for a little while now! 12cm??? Smaller than rosengarden girls, but still with mature proportions?? Sooo cute!

EDIT speaking of mature tinies, granado perhaps has a new tiny up their sleeve? Or is this Galileo?

@Xila Where did you see 12cm? The measurements on the picture on etsy show 24cm.

Edit: yes, it appears I am! Bella and Alice do appear to be 24cm, with this tiny bella being something different! Im stoked for tiny bella! Wonder if she is OT, though.

 

On Instagram she said the boys are 45cm and that seems much more reasonable looking at the family photos on Instagram.

 

That teaser pic from Granado is beautiful! I think the head size might be a little smaller than my Lucifer's, which could be a problem for me. Just ordering a doll from Bluefairy yesterday might discourage me from buying more dolls, too...

 

So many amazing dolls! I don’t suppose anyone here has suggestions for a good 1/6 doll to go with a Merry Doll Round Pygmy?

 

Does anyone know great places to get 10-12cm wigs? Specifically, many mature tiny wigs have too much volume on the side of the head and look less realistic. I've not found a ton of options I like. And any that I find of good quality are non-natural colors. Any recommendations?

 

Sadly I've always found that to be a problem - mass-produced wigs at that small a size are almost guaranteed to contain way too much fiber. (Short ones are the worst - agh, the dreaded hair bubble.) There are a very few Monique and Parabox wigs that... sometimes work and often don't.

That being said, I've had good luck with this wigmaker on Etsy:

The ones listed as 'Barbie 4 inch' fit most of my mature-tiny ladies quite well. And some day shipping might actually be possible again!
