He really does, but I can't keep him in that outfit. He wants to be a villain when he wears it. -_- He supposed to be a messenger.

 

Hehe sometimes you have to let the take the roles they want. I hate when my characters do it but I can't fight them on it

 

I know what you mean. One day I really want to get one of the big baby styles too. It brings me back to my days collecting porcelain. It's such a shame I don't get to see them very often because they are so cute!! I love that word "chubby". That's the perfect description. All their soft little spots. It would be so much fun to dress them up and really be able to appreciate them in that size. Gabriel is really cute too! She looks a little more mature than Daisy while still keeping that plump youth. It's so wonderful how these little differences bring out such amazing and unique traits in every doll Daisy is my favorite among the two too, you made a beautiful choice.
I am so excited to see her custom clothes too! And bright green or brown eyes? Beautiful!! Do you have pictures of her eyes or are you waiting to see what they look like in her first? I don't see green eyes anywhere near often enough. And with beautiful brown hair that's going to look so wonderful in either color!
What are her clothes like?

 

Oh!! Look at that darling face, he looks AMAZING. I love those gorgeous ears! I love that name too "Vayne" how did you come by it (the name I mean, I'm always so fascinated by why dolls or their parents choose certain names for them)? It really looks like it suits him very well.

Hi and welcome! I'm on my very first order in the hobby too. Always wonderful to meet other newbies! The wait is so difficult, but think about how special it will be when he comes! The wait just makes us grow fonder for them She's a real beauty, I love that cute little smile. That's a really wonderful first choice. I'm so fond of the more plump, childlike dolls. Sadly, none in my collection just yet but I hope soon! Until then I love seeing everyone else's dolls that go for this style. I swear I don't see them often so it makes them much more special when you do come across them!

As for the eyes unfortunately, I don't have any photos that I have uploaded or taken. I am waiting until Daisy arrives
I love green eyes and I know what you mean by not seeing them often. I got mine from Enchanted doll Milky eyes #62. It has this really vibrant green with tons of shimmer in it! I think it will look fantastic on Daisy so I can't wait to try it on her >_<
Her clothes looks like the classic Alice dress ( as you can imagine with one-piece dress with apron). Instead of the main dress part to be blue, I made a custom request to change the fabric to a striped design; colors being : pink+blonde fabric with tiny floral design on it. On it, it will also have some chocolate brown color ribbons to really match her overall style; brown hair & brown shoes. Over the main dress, it will have that classic white frilled apron!

 

@Kraftykitt he only says that because of the clothes. Once I get him in his proper outfit, he'll be fine. I've had him as a character for about two years now. He actually based a bit off the messenger Of the Babylonian god, Sin, which is where I got his name.

@akaisha0 I got it from one of my favorite video games, Mana Khemia. When I first thought of him, he reminded me of the MC from that game. His personality changed, but the name stuck.

i was actually debating between getting raphael or gabriel for the longest time. like MONTHS. but raphael won me over because of her sweet little smile.

You are so lucky @xellos my characters tend to take a life of their own and half the time refuse to do what I want. Makes writing so hard when the actors want to keep changing the script.

I'm coming to the 45 day mark soon, really do wish they had a tracker like dominoes so I could see exactly were they are in the process. I still have about a month for the make up...ugh

 

My boy arrived at MoC! Unfortunately, as I feared, my eyes from DZ have not so...I have to wait. But at least I know he's safe? So about 3 and a quarter month wait time for me from the day I ordered, just to give perspective to all my lovely collectors waiting :B

@SHINn That outfit sounds so cute!! I love mixing prints like stripes and florals...but I love florals to death as is. The shoes I'm wearing this very moment are floral print. And pink and pale yellow/blonde is my absolute FAVORITE color combination. And with that beautiful rich brown hair too and those little brown details to tie it all together..I like your color story in that. I am so so so so so so so excited to see how the dress turns out. It really seems like it's going to suit your angel very well!!

Oh my!! You should be getting your boy soon then Can't wait to see!! You must be getting more and more impatient knowing that it at least arrived in MoC.
As for me, I probably have like half a month or 2 months at least untill my baby arrives >_<

I love those color combination too and I love floral prints! Waiting game is soo hard but as I wait, I can't help but to look for more clothes for Daisy. Im planning to order another set of clothes from painted wings (?)

i doubt you will be alone in that wait @SHINn i think we are at the same time frame, though i'm tempted to put another doll on layaway while i wait. mm my poor wallet.

@akaisha0 Yep! January and February. It's going to be interesting to see which order arrives first. I ordered the one in January thorough MoC and the one in February directly through Luts. I hadn't actually planned on the second one for that early in the year, but they had that discounted price for the My Choice system at that time.

@SHINn let's hope it's not that long. I really want to see how yours is gonna look!

@Kraftykitt I'm feeling the same way. I keep having to remind myself that I have a trip to Portland coming up. I'm visiting friends during Resin Rose, so I want to make sure I have plenty of extra cash. It's so hard though because layaway is a thing.

So... not sure how the waitlist works and it doesn't look like April has been started yet and I have no clue how to do it but... I caved. MoC had ONE Kid Delf Yul Satyress White skin w/face-up A and Satyr parts with blushing in blue left... She's now on layaway and I'll have her in 6 months or less... I gotta curb my spending! lol

lol i bought a bunch of clothes/wigs/shoes for my girl and they arrived today. i got so excited just looking at the teeny clothing lol.

 

I'm waiting on a type two body for a Zuzu delf. I've thought it would be here but its still three hours away at the shipping facility!! Ugh I want now!!!

 

Just hit the day 50 mark, at least another month for faceups. Ugh I'm going crazy. I'm also a bit worried the girl I have at home won't fit with my incoming lapis

 

I've ordered a Kid Delf Duri in tan skin this week. Can't wait to have this little cutie !
I'm a little worried since I didn't found this sculpt in tan skin but I'm sure it will be beautiful. *___*

Hey guys! Does anyone know if you do a combine shipping, does it affect the production time of doll? (Like does it slow down the shipping time?)

Luts is doing a 10 day sale right now on wigs,shoes and clothes so I just ordered 1 pair of shoes and 2 wigs and requested for a combine shipping to my doll that I placed order on march 10th. I hope it doesnt slow down the waiting time :/

On another note, I asked Luts if they could give me a time line on my 2 model delfs, since I wanna give the girls at work a heads up for when I should expect a big box,
And they told me early may. :\ (I ordered in January)
But at least I k now it should hopefully only be 2 more weeks roughly!

 

Early may..that's about what I had estimated myself. Did you get yours with faceups or fullsets @Fate?

 

I got both of my dolls with face ups So I have 2 face up, no blushing naked dolls with 1 wig in my order

 

Wow, 5 months? Are the waiting times that long now?

 

They did get an large number of orders, suspended body blushing services and additional parts as well

So we got close to the same things, 2 model delfs with face up fullset @Fate

 

Bought the limited romantic bory back in October, still waiting everyday for that elusive email.

Oh my goodness.. did you ask them for a estimate of when your doll will be shipped out? Was it suppose to take that long? I mean wow.. that is long

 

It was through Denver Doll and they really haven't told me much apart from "it should be soon" I ordered him completely blank, didn't even get him with the steel heart body so it's a bit frustrating it has taken so long, hopefully the wait will be worth it. It's definitely the longest I've ever had to wait on a doll xD

 

@Jiffy Oh, I never ordered through DDE before but I've heard there is a little wait time you have to go through.. though, 5 months.. (considering that you have ordered him blank, that is a long wait)
I really hope you get your doll home soon!

 

@Jiffy Sorry you have to wait. I've heard DDE gets their stuff a little slower. Maybe smaller shipment orders is why? It's a shame US retailers seem to really get the short end of the stick with a LOT of companies.

 

october?? that is insane. and the fact that DDE couldn't tell you more makes me kind of side-eye them. it shouldn't take 7 months or more for a blank doll! and other posters saying it's now up to 5 months... oh man

 

Actually, it may not be a surprise completely. :\ if it takes people who buy direct 5 months to get a full doll, a 7 month wait through a dealer could be understandable because they're only going to get dolls in bulk/multiple orders.

All the more reason I order direct. Lol! I can't stand the wait. Thank god for layaway though. I don't get as antsy knowing im still making payments. But you'd think with a 5 month wait, they'd allow more than 45 days standard.

 

@ryeonggu @akaisha0 Yeah, next time I'll just order directly from Luts. Funny thing is I live pretty close to DDE and thought I could save time and money by just picking it up. I guess you live and learn! I would've much rather paid the shipping if I would've known it would take this long. Ah well, I'm just hopeful my wait is almost over and he can finally come home!

 

Hopefully you will get a notice soon, I just hit day 56 in the wait, not counting weekends or holidays. And I'm nervous as hell. I'd be losing it if I were waiting as long as you. How do you do it?

 

@Kraftykitt Thanks! I have good feelings it'll be any day now! I had a friend also waiting for an order from doll chateau, and that made it a bit better, but now that she's got hers I've become incredibly anxious... I just have to keep telling myself it'll be soon!

 

I never order through DDE if I can help it. It just seems to take so much longer than anywhere else. Also not that impressed their online service. I much prefer going through Mint on Card.

 

I could cry, I just got the email saying my boy is in! Going to go pick him up right now, so excited!

@Jiffy Holy cow, I don't think I'll ever complain about a wait again. I'm so so sorry you had to wait like that @_@ But he is GORGEOUS.

Small update on my fiasco. MoC was willing to work with me and gave special permission to split my order. I know what a paperwork nightmare that is so I'm very grateful. Still, have to wait for my DZ eyes to come in but my Karis doll is on the way to me right now, due to arrive Wednesday but I paid FedEx to reschedule for Thursday which is my day off so I'll be home so hopefully they actually move my delivery date otherwise it's going to drag this process out waaaaaaaaaaaaaay longer. FedEx requires direct signatures so you can't just sign a form and have them redeliver. You're either there on the first attempt or you have to pick it up at their shipping center which is impossible to access by bus and blah blah blah. I get why they do it this way for such high value items but it's a nightmare.
