@Teru Thank you! I must say - this is my second time ordering from Luts and both times the whole transaction from start to finish was just so smooth, and the quality of the body I received is great. I cannot not praise Luts enough! Congrats to everyone was has ordered.

Other than a little sanding on his knees that had to be done, his resin is nice and thick and he is clicking correctly. The clothes I made him fit (yay!). Now to trim up his wig.

Thanks @Cecibelle. First BJD anyway -- I have a collection of Pullips and a couple of other OT dolls. This is kinda a progression for quality, detail (and price!).

It is exciting, but the waiting -- ugh.

Finally! My first doll is on her way!

 

I can't believe dolls from October are already shipping! That's so exciting. I was calculating perhaps a February delivery date for my doll but this gives me hope that it might be sooner. Congrats to those whose dollies are shipping.

 

Thank you! I'm ultra in denial about this, myself. I was hoping that maybe I would get my doll before Christmas, and now it's pretty likely! I hope you get your doll soon, too.

 

Has anyone here ordered though Angelesque? I ordered my KDF body in her September order and I've been surprised how how long the wait is. When I messaged her, she said January! I've ordered directly from Luts a few times and they've been very speedy~

 

I'm in the States, and I'm a part of Mint on Card's September order, and got "It's only been 13 weeks!" when I asked about my order status.

I wonder if there's a lag or staggered shipments for those of us who ordered from Luts via a dealer? I hope you get your order sooner than January.

 

I've never ordered through a dealer and the reason is because it would seem to take longer. 1: your order is not placed right away. It is placed only on their ordering date and 2: the company probably waits for that ENTIRE order to be ready to ship. So you have to wait for EVERYONE's dolls to be ready before you get it. 3: then you have to wait for that dealer to get it, sort it, make sure they're not missing anything, then wait for it to get to you. I looked at the waiting list when I was deciding on my order and paid special attention to those who ordered through mintoncard and decided for the 30 or so bucks I'd save on shipping I'd rather get my dolls months faster.

 

Mmm, I remember reading through MoC's FAQ and they say something like they submit a mass of orders all at once (maybe once a month?), so you definitely end up waiting longer. But I think the shipping is cheaper because they're getting it in bulk?

 

I'm pretty sure it's more like once every 3 months or so. I know the latest one didn't go in until early this month.

Actually, just double checked, their latest order will not go in until the 22nd.

 

I agree with ShadowMist here, I ordered from Angelesque in August and I don't expect my doll to arrive another two months or so. I was kind of hoping the wait won't be longer for 6 months, but it seems I miscalculated. But I don't blame her, of course, since I knew the dealer's ordering process depends on all the orders, not mine alone. It seems patience is a virtue in this situation.

 

My girl came! Unfortunately I'm at school for the day so I won't be able to see her until later, but I'll get pictures and maybe a box opening video tonight or tomorrow!

 

Ho boy, placed the biggest doll order I've done yet. XD Though its because my girlfriend and I agreed to do a big order in order to get the My Choice event option so we're ending up with 3 dolls + lots of stuff! o_o Also ordering through Fabric Friends and Dolls on layaway.

 

Sorry for the late response~ My boy shipped; I'm so excited! He should arrive tomorrow. I'll make sure to share pictures!
