Ahh I almost forgot about Neji! < 3 I agree, I wish I saw more Muhwa owner photos. I thought, when I ordered, that I was getting the warmer skin tone like the one in the stock photos, but turned out "Real Skin Brown" was a shade lighter. Id love to see her in the darker tones..and I most likely will purchase another Muhwa in the far future because I love her that much

 

My sister has a Jamong romance in brown skin. The color is lovely, but I am definitely certain about getting my next boy in light tan. I believe light tan is warmer than brown, but still a shade darker--correct me if I'm wrong. I also really want a tan skin girl, but I cannot decide which girl I should get... All of the colors are so lovely, I want one of each!

 

Yep you are correct, the light tan is darker than brown. (Which was confusing for me in the end, but lesson learned). I don't mind though, I fell in love the moment I saw her. I am in the same position as you, but in choosing a Boy doll. I want one so badly, but none have "spoken" to me just yet!

 

Your Muhwa is beautiful, so you should be happy!

As for my future tan girl... I need one to speak to me as well. Right now, I am looking at Kiwi Romance. I really like her dreamy eyes and puckered lips and think she would look absolutely gorgeous in a dark skin tone. Then again, I really like Papaya's large eyes; she has such a sweet face.

I just don't know if I should go for a mature look or cute one... I mean, I already have two cute girls, so I am kind of steering more towards a romance for my future tan skin girl. It's so difficult...

I also really wish LUTS would model more dolls in real skin tan...

 

OMG YES! It would totally change my mind about a lot of their sculpts if I could see representation of their other skin tones. I didn't give Bory a second look (and honestly couldn't understand why everyone loved him so much) UNTIL I saw the tan version. Now I am in love. I also wish there were more female sculpts for the larger size, with mature faces. I feel like the larger sizes (SDs) still have child-like features. Maybe I am expecting too much from LUTS lol...I want to stay loyal to the brand, but if I ever go for an SD, I want it to look...well..like I want! Lol

 

I just said goodbyes to my first doll ever, Kid delf Hodoo and it made me kind of sentimental :<
10 long years he was part of my hobby and very dear, but lately I've felt disconnected from him and found myself thinking that he would bring more joy to someone else. And thinking about him bringing joy to someone else made me more happy than me actually owning him, so it was time for him to go and me to move forward.
Seeing him in his original box made me feel also nostalgic! The old blue box was so pretty and had me amazed when I first saw it

I think I'll still lurk here from time to time, I have a soft spot for smaller Luts dolls, since Luts was the very first company I ever stumbled across

 

Aww, I can understand what you mean. I have felt the same with dolls (other than BJDs) that I have had for a long time and then decided to part ways with them. I am glad your Hodoo found a loving new home!

 

I have a dark toned Muwha planned, a boy. It's just a case of having the money, my budget's kinda tied up in a layaway atm so it's unlikely i'll be able to order anything else till new year. booo.

I LOVE the variety in Luts resin tones, they're one of the few companies that seems to do more than one shade of tan/brown which I appreciate.

 

I love the idea of having a variety of skin colors, and LUTS' skin colors are gorgeous! I currently have Brown, and now want Light Tan and Tan! Though, I can't decide which one I want first. I'm considering Senior65 Delf Gray in Light Tan and Kid Delf Kiwi in Tan. I think their molds would look amazing in Light Tan and Tan. Right now, I often find myself leaning more towards Gray, since I haven't gotten an SD in a while... but then I think about how cute Kiwi would be in Tan and how much I adore KDFs~ ​

 

Bory is super cute. I had a Bory, but surprisingly I didn't bond as well as I thought I would with him, so I ended up sending him to a better home. Perhaps it was because he was such a popular mold that it was so difficult for me to make him uniquely mine...

And, I totally agree. I am a loyal fan of LUTS and adore most of their dolls, but I would love to see more mature sculpts in both Kid Delf and Senior Delf girls.

I have sold a couple of my dolls that I just could not bond with and felt horrible. But, I knew it would be better to send them to a place where they would receive much more love. I have never regretted it; for, making someone happy is a great feeling!

Putting away just a little can help you get there!
I love that about LUTS too! The different shades are beautiful and having the option to choose is amazing!

Luts body options confuse me though, there's too many options! I get all flustered hahaha.

 

Such a lovely name. I originally was going to have Basil as a girl but I impulse bought 13winter KDF for that character So now the sculpt will be her younger brother I will have to wait a while for him to come home though because I just got the Delf Arwen I'm hyped.

 

Finally, the wait is over! Tomorrow, my new Kid Delf JAMONG Romance HEAD Limited is expected to arrive! It was quite a wait, but I understand that summer is difficult for LUTS to ship out dolls fast because of the weather.

 

I just wish LUTS would release some slimmer hands for kdelfs. I like the model delf hands better but not the body.

 

Hmm how different is the wrist of the model delf? It might be possible to just switch em.

He arrived safe and sound! There is a big difference in the expression. It's amazing how make-up can change a doll so much. Well, I think I like him a lot more now! He just needs a nice pair of 14mm P-Glass eyes, because the ones he's wearing don't fit perfectly. Just wondering what to do with the other head... Anyway, here is Shijima~

Does anyone here have a LUTS KDF on the Type 5 body? It's supposedly "chubbier" than the others.

My Yoko (KDF Muhwa) is on this body and it's amazing the range of clothes she can (and can't) wear. She can even fit some SD sized stuff...it's just longer on her. Would love to see pics!

 

I had that thought too but they don’t look like they attach in the same way in pictures. Kid delf have metal s hooks and model delf have resin hooks built into the hands. Can anyone with both bodies confirm?

@DollieLovex3 Your Yoko is so cute! I've been wanting a Muhwa girl (or a Nana girl) for a while in the brown...I think I prefer cooler tans to warmer tans so the Luts tan doesn't inspire me the same way. Though I know what you mean about tan Bory...and I'm an avowed Bory addict! Tan Bory was originally my grail...but I settled for my little guy in his weird mellowed old skin and I kinda like that he's a sad houseplant with too little sunlight...

My poor forgotten Ttori (Ramona) is on the Type 5 body and I'm actually maddened by the lack of clothes in the style I want for her. She seems to think she should be dressed like a pastel goth minifee. I can only ever find her clothing for less adventurous fashion tastes. She scowls at me something fierce.

My model delf has metal hooks in his wrists but more importantly...his hands are definitely not in scale to my KDF hands. Either my Type 1 or Type 5, though the Type 5 body is a little bigger so maybe more accommodating of those long elegant hands. I was thinking Volks hands might work (and they have fun gestures too) but I don't feel like sorting through Volks parts to figure that out.

Also, my two Borys had a fun day out, though the model delf Bory is on a Soulkid body (GARBLE SOULKID NO MOBILITY THIGHS)

LOL! @A Wee Tiefling Thankfully, Yoko doesn't mind most fashions I stick her in...but she is very much particular about her hair (I guess she gets it from me)

I can't wait to see owner pics crop up of the two new sculpts Rika and Filo *heart eyes* I think I finally found my boy in Filo (depicted as a girl on the website, but I see all boy for me).

 

I've been coming the site again and I'm struck anew by a lot of sculpts I used to pass over. Darae and Woori are so cute! As is Apple (though Apple looks too sad!!!)

@DollieLovex3 I was tempted to sell my Ttori girl because I have such a hard time finding clothes I like. But I can't. She's so cute and I want to get her more herself...maybe learn to sew for her.

The cat ear outfit is SUCH A PAIN that when I was trying to put it on him I just wanted to sell the whole set but he does look cute in them.... Sadly Mochi is still missing the left side eyelashes.... I just don't know how to put on that pair of eyelashes that came off when I was trying to dress him in the rozen maiden outfit.

Saku looks weird with those 14mm eyes, I do like the color but for some reason whenever I try to put on 14mm eyes, they just have this really weird and sorta rigid/mean/lifeless? blank stare...

 

If the lashes are still in good condition, what I do is get a few toothpicks. Put a little tacky glue on the INSIDE of the eye well (not on the edge of the lids, but inside of them if that makes sense). Then using a clean toothpick start at the outside edge of the lash and apply it by going from the outside of the head and use the toothpick to smoosh the eyelash into the glue.

As for the eyes themselves, try angling them a bit. Either to look up more and have the top of the pupil touching the top lid or try having them looking sideways. The straight on look can tend to be very "deer in headlights" looking.

Thanks so much for the tips!!!! I’m a bit scared of gluing the eyelashes back without following a detailed video lol. My other friend told me to get rid of the other side and I was scared of that too hahaha. For positioning the eyes, I don’t know why but they tend to fall off when I try to position 14mm eyes near the top lid, hopefully I get a bit better at it because I think 16mm make the doll look a bit more child-like.

Your animal ear pictures are so cute too! I especially like the bunny one, did you make them?

 

Try making them look sideways if you have trouble putting them near the top lid. I did that with my basil when I was testing eyes and loved it. It gives more personality and you don’t have to worry about them looking cross eyed

Oh gosh, they're just so precious! I love your kawaii/pastel aesthetic you have going, it's a look I'm doubtful I could nail for any of my dolls. Finding the right style is such a paiN!

@asatou So I've been thinking of getting a couple of animal kigurumi for my two KDFs and now I see I'm behind the curve! Though Annix will definitely think Dark Thoughts if I try to force him into bunny ears.

Can anyone confirm if the kid delf boy bodies really are 42cm tall with head?

 

I changed eyes for Saku.
It's crazy how bright blue these look in picture because in life, they're so much lighter.
I wish I could capture the original color which I like slightly better but I think the dark bright blue suits him too.
