Luts Honey Delf Discussion part 4

She is beautiful! I love they way you styled her. I have a Customhouse Uriel at home but I styled them as a boy. I'd love to own a Honey Delf Type 5 in real skin brown or tan someday. I just love their cute chubby bodies.

 

This is my Yuriel in the front, and my Honey Delf Anko in the back. I think Yuriel was discontinued before Customhouse went out of business, so I doubt Luts will ever release it. Both of my littles need some attention, but I have a new yo-sized tiny on order from Charmdoll, so I guess I'll do all three of them when she gets here.

@thessalyrose, omg! That weeping angel is so cute! How did you do to make the fabric look like stone?

 

Wondering if anyone can help? It's a bit of a silly question, are luts face-up hard to remove? I plan on getting a honey delf sariel. Not sure if I should get a face-up because, in the past, company face-ups have been killer to remove.

 

Thanks! I sewed the dress, then coated it with fabric stiffener and let it dry while it was "posed". Then I painted it with craft acrylics, drybrushing several layers over it. The wings are felt, which is much harder to paint because it just sucks the paint up like a sponge. The wig was Crayola foam clay, I think. Somehow it came out way too small for her, but I didn't have time to redo it. It was for a DoA challenge a few years ago. It's hard to store the outfit because it's so stiff it's like there's a whole doll in it, lol.

Hi guys, I have my eyes on honey delf for some time now, just curious for the version 5 body. Since the hands are bigger, do they affect wearing clothes? like, are the hands small enough to go through the sleeves?

 

I'd have to guess that they fit Luts clothes still but I can't get any info on the circumference of the hands in comparison to Type 3 or Littlefee. Just a quick look at the wrist joint makes me think that they're easier to remove and swap than Type 3 hands, though the pictures on Luts' site are annoyingly vague...

 

I now have two Honey Delf bodies. One currently has an Element Doll Pitt C head (shown below) and the other will be getting a Gokidoll Miaow head soon. I've found Honey Delf bodies to be really great for hybrids!

 

Looks like there's a sweety version of Pring available with the Luts winter event, along with a new sculpt, Panelle!

Both are cute, but I'm going to use this winter event as an excuse to get myself a Lolly. I've been looking at her for months, just waiting for the right time to get her!

 

Ugh...I just discovered the Hanael Sweetie version, having somehow apparently missed that release. Desperately hoping they do another release of them at some point.

I got a Sweety Madeleine recently and I really love her. She's got a very cute soft smile. This is Clementine (left), along with Loki who is on a Honey Delf body.


And a little preview of a future plan for her. Still figuring out how to go about this but I may end up having to do a permanent magnet mod to her head. >.<

Ugh. I did ask. They said she's limited and no answer as to when or whether they'd release her again.
As far as I've been able to tell (so far!), there are at least 16? versions of Hanael. (I've been making a big research project about trying to tracking down pictures of all the old Customhouse sculpts because it seems like the information about them is slowly being lost/forgotten. In doing so, finding out that there are far more than I ever knew about!)
There's regular (petite ai) Hanael, Fairy Hanael, sleeping Hanael, Prayer Hanael, (Ange ai) Hani, and (I'm pretty sure these are the names) Be Close to Tears, Fairy Hani, Pettish Hani, Small Smile Hani, Smile Sleeping Hani, Vacant look Hani, and Wink Hani.I also strongly suspect that Bisou Pepe is a version of Hanael as well. And of course, Luts' Hanael and Hanael Sweetie. Plus Darea, which was the Junior/little junior version of Hanael.

 

Are you sure Hani and Hanael were both Petite Ais? As I remember it, towards the end of Customhouse's run, they released the smaller Bisou Ais, some of whom had names that were shortened versions of the Petite Ai dolls. Hani was the Bisou version of Hanael, Yuri of Yuriel, Uri of Uriel, etc. I never really studied if the Bisou versions looked like their Petite counterparts.

 

Hani was an Ange Ai. It seems like the Ange sculpts are the ones they're using for Honey Delfs, at least for Raffy/Raphael. The list of those sculpts is here: /doawiki/index.php?title=Ange_Ai

@Azurielle I am curious..I'm guessing that Bisou Popo must be Raffy/Raphael, then? I never noticed it before, but when you put the faces side by side, she looks like the Ange Raffy/Honey Delf Raphael sculpts. I feel very late to the game!

 

So, these are the only ones I have worked out for certain, atm. I'm compiling pictures, but it's slow going as I work in the medical field and life has been crazy lately. There aren't a lot of pictures out there of some sculpts and towards the end, CH put out a bunch of sculpts I've never seen pictures of at all. Some aren't even listed in the DOA database.
So CH tended to make big/little/littler versions of the same sculpts. Here's the ones I remember/have figured out so far. I know there are more, just haven't figured them out yet. Some of the other old time CH collectors might remember, but I don't know how many are still around any more.

I'm actually working on finding pictures to be able to attach to the DOA wiki. And info to update it because I'm finding that there are sculpts missing. Ive got a large stash of pictures so far. It's just finding the time to organize them. And there are still some I haven't found a single picture of.

Yes, Popo is definitely Raphael/Raffy/Darin! I have had 3 of the 4 sizes of that sculpt and while there are some differences due to resizing, I suppose, they are essentially the same.

 

I'm sure you're right. I forgot about the Ange Ai.

My Petite Ai is a Yuriel, which seems to be pretty rare. Uriel is much more common, but mine is a Yuriel with a Y. He's wearing purple in this picture.

I ordered my first honey delf, I ordered Honey Zuzu Delf CORNI in body type 5. I can't wait for her to arrive!

Does anyone knows the head circumference of hanael version 2? will her head appear to be too large compared with other honey delfs? didn't seem to find much useful info on Luts website. sigh...

 

Does anyone have pictures of Anko? I'm considering her on the 31 body and am on the hunt for pictures of Anko especially any that have custom faceups!

 

I got my Anko secondhand, but I believe she has the factory faceup. I am working up the nerve to wipe her and give her a new one.

Wiping my Madeline's factory faceup. Anxiety inducing? Yes, But she is almost 9 years old now and her face is pretty chipped and yellow. She looks a lot less yellow after the old sealant was cleaned off. But ow my hands hurt XD

 

I don't think I've seen a Madeline blank before. I have a Sweety Madeleine with company faceup whom I've lovingly said has a very fish like face, and seeing that sculpt blank still makes me think fish-face.

Old Luts faceups can be really stuck on there! I wiped a Luts faceup from 2011 about 2 years ago and it took a lot of work to get off. I ended up soaking some small cotton pads in a gentle cleaning solution (Windsor & Newton brush cleaner) and letting that rest against the head for a while to 'soak'. Only way I was bale to get the eye paint off.

 

I'll probably get some to try out cause i just cannot get her lips clean. she was one of if not the first madelines on here which is something I am just a bit proud of.

 

Non-acetone nail polish remover works well removing old face-ups. Tooth picks can be used to clean narrow crevices.

 

Oooh, thanks for the info; I'm going to have to wipe and dye my Anko soon. I love her faceup but she has yellowed terribly and needs de-zombification serum. I can't wait to see your Madeline's new faceup!

 

Hello folks!! I’m planning a Zuzu26 Delf, which uses the Honey Delf body, and I’m doing some clothing research. Does anyone happen to know if Blythe clothing fits Honey Delf?

Blythe clothing is similar to Barbie, isn't it? Yosds sometimes fit Ken tops or shorts, but Barbie is too slim.

 

Blythe is smaller than Barbie, closer to Skipper.

 

The reason I asked is because Blythe is a common recommendation for the classic Zuzu Delf body (which is kind of an odd size) and I was struggling to visualize how much bigger the Honey Delf body is.

On that note: how hard are Honey Delfs to dress? Do they fit into a lot of yo-sd clothing?

 

HDFs are very easy to dress! Generally speaking, they can fit into anything Littlefee which is a huge bonus! You can't really go wrong with generic YOSD clothes with a Honey Delf.

Anyone else tempted by the new HDF21? It's such an adorable size! I'm so happy that it's compatible with regular HDF heads, and that they're having a head choice option like they have for HDF31's.

Fondant and Bon Bon are pretty cute too, thankfully they aren't limited. Looks like you can get them in NS & WS at 15% off for the event though!

 

I love the new BonBon head sculpt and am tempted to get her on the regular Honey Delf body. Really wish the new body fit Tiny Delf heads though as the Honey Delf heads look a bit bobble headed when nude imo. I think a smaller neck (like Tiny Delf sized) would look better overall. But Luts has made some of their bodies with 2 neck size options so I wonder if that's a future plan?

 

I'm in love with Bonbon too only thing putting me off is not being able to find clothes for the new HDF21

 

They sure are an odd size, at least Luts says the Little Kids size TTYA clothes should fit but other than that it seems like you're out of luck unless you're good at searching Taobao. This thread might be helpful too! Definitely nowhere near as easy to dress as regular HDF, though.

 

I just ordered a Bonbon (as a birthday gift for my spouse)! I ordered an HDF outfit that looks like it might be able to be adjusted/cutely oversized, but if it doesn't work out, I'll have another YOSD who can wear it.

chimming in regarding new HDF21.
I have been hunting clothes for my Dearmine Dear pet human body, and maybe these can help:
zuzu delf, holala/monst doll, little fish body (hips may be too big), rainbow high, blythe (hip may be too narrow). (compared in chest/waist/hip).

 

I didn't think about comparing the HDF21 to Zuzu. Hopefully Luts will share pics of them compared!

 

Bonbon is the cutest. She looks so anxious. I want to kiss her on the hair and promise her it’s all going to be ok 8(

ETA: the honey Delf 21 measurements look like they should be able to wear some Blythe shoes! And I’m not entirely positive yet (gotta wait until she gets here) but they might also fit the Yun Lai Food Shop dolls and other bjd blind box stuff.

 

So on the sale page for the new HD21 size kukuclara clothes are mentioned. I looked on etsy for kukuclara clothes and a lot of blythe pops up. I'm wondering if thier clothes are simular/same size and would fit aswell...?
