Little Monica - Little Harmony Line Discussion

@laquaza you can get Cleria head in event skin, just pay extra $30. I didn’t think to get the head in cocoa bc I don’t really like the head that much, but no one wants to buy it when I posted it on FB so I thought to get in cocoa cream to practice face up. Cleria head is bigger so it looks much better with grace echo body.

Did you take photo with your phone or a camera. Tbh I like the colour in your photo than mine. Last February the event skin is too warm for my liking so I didn’t order vampire Giselle with that skin.

 

That picture was taken with my camera and a ring light.
But it was in the middle of the night. I'll take some pictures in daylight next Saturday. Been wanting to do a tan resin comparison for a while.

 

I just took another one this morning under sunlight and still not true colour, just close enough. Maybe it’s time for me to invest in a ring light lol.

Hi there, Forgive me if this is the wrong place to post. I'm brand new around these parts and have to say that I am strongly considering getting a Little Enrill on the boy body (normal skin) as my first "proper" BJD. I was wondering if there was any pros/cons to this model in particular, or if there was anything I needed to be aware of before buying it later in the new year? Thanks so much in advance.

 

@moonlightnocturne , i believe the boy body is single jointed, so posing might be kind of limited (if thats important to you). LM dolls are very good quality though, and the wait time is reasonable. Theyre one of my favorite companies ^_^

I finally settled on a wig/eye combo for my Roselyn!

 

Oh that's wonderful to hear for sure, shame about that body though. But I'm sure for my first doll he'll do the trick for now and if I decide to change the body later I could absolutely do that later down the line. Thank you for your input, and your doll is looking beautiful!

 

Only the knees are single jointed. The arms are actually double jointed. It's the same joints they use for the girl body. It took me a while to figure them out when I got my first girl.

Here's the picture from Little Monica where they show off the features of his body:

To engage the arm joint you need to pull on the underarm until the joint pops out a bit. Then you can bend it.

They have released an updated version of the girl body with improved posing but none for the boy body. At least not yet.

That reminds me I took my own little Enrill on a trip last week. I spend a few days up in the mountains and had a nice photoshoot planned with her but sadly I forgot my camera . It's a bummer but that's how I found out my camera actually takes decent pictures in daylight . And Ampère is so beautiful she looks great on any picture .

She's utterly adorable but sadly I already blew my doll funds for this month. But I'll happily look at your pictures if you decide to get her

 

She’s 1/4 size so unfortunately I won’t get her. I’m waiting for special skin event to get Chloe or special head of one of harmony girls.

 

She's very cute but she doesn’t “speak” to me, so I'm passing up on this release.

 

This probably a common knowledge but anyway I went and ask Little Monica if I can purchase a basic little harmondy body plus echo's arm and leg part, and they said yes! Just ask at the Q&A and they'll make listing for you. But that means extra part that might not be used at all...hmmm...

 

Oh I wonder if I can change grace echo arms and legs to grace body arms and legs. The old body knuckles drives me crazy

 

Omg that's great to know. That means updating my WS Little Harmony girl body to the new arms and legs will be easier than expected. That sounds much better than buying a whole new body just for the arms and legs.

 

I am officially waiting for the Little Monica head. just the head, as can't afford full dolls at the moment sadly. Based on their good track record I won't need to wait too long.

I opt for custom faceup, default faceup but with eyebrow change, a bit of a gamble hopefully doesn't dissapoint. Hoping by getting a faceupped head, I can "play" with her straight away. I wish i have time to do faceup...so many blank heads waiting.

 

The current Little Monica event us tempting me so much. Brown skin at no extra charge . Maybe I need to squeeze in another girl in May. I've been wanting a little Sophia for a while. But let's see.

 

Yay I was able to order Echo girl legs and arms separately so I can upgrade my Little Harmony girl to the new arms and legs.

And I got a Little Sophia in brown as well .

btw I've been looking to see owner's photo of sandy gray skin but seems like nobody ordered that skin colour. I wonder if LM will have special skin event this halloween. Also been waiting for Roselyn vampire version

 

OMG if they release a Roselyn vampire version I would jump on that sculpt so fast. Roselyn is one of my all time favorite sculpts ever (from any company). I had to restrain myself so much from ordering a Roselyn in the event skin (as I already have a Roselyn:Symphony).

That reminds me I absolutely need to give my Little Roselyn a faceup so I can take pictures of my two Roselyn versions together.

 

Are her legs single jointed? I love this brand so much but i want more poseable legs

 

@Iceymelody yes, little harmony girl echo body is double jointed in the elbow and knee.

The boy though, still single jointed knees. Hopefully they will upgrade it to double jointed knees sometime soon.

 

She has echo body so double joint both elbow and knees. I love everything about LM, especially their resin, except the hands. I wish they sculpt the hands more feminine. I can replace white skin hands with hands from other companies, but it's hard to find substitute hands in special colours

@laquaza I'm surprised they haven't released Roselyn in Halloween theme yet. I have Giselle vampire which is also my 1st LM doll. Then I got Laura in soft choco and Roselyn in cocoa cream. I'm thinking to get Chloe if LM has special skin colour event I like this halloween, or just the head if they release limited head, or both if they have both haha, depending which one I prefer. This summer the brown skin is too warm for my taste so I passed. But waiting another 5mths seems too long lol

so sad to hear little monica is closing its door soon
there won't be any chance to get any LM doll at all (apart from 2nd hand market)

I can't access website at the moment as it exceding daily traffic limit.

 

I'm torn between getting a Sarubia and a Roselyn on the Hot! Body but I also am looking at other sizes and heads. This really bums me out, LM have the most elegant sculpts at all sizes. (I currently have a Jeremy and a Muse Sarubia but I want more of the 45cm dolls).

 

The closing down notice is so sad I'll really miss Little Monica, it always always a joy to see their dolls. I really like a lot of their dolls... I am definitely going to see about making an order for at least Little Haazel's head... just debating on if I should get one or two...

Pros of 2:
if I want a sleeping head I can mod one
if i wanna make twins, i could also do this
if the mods I wanna do maybe don't turn out great, i still have a fresh slate (not too worried about this though lol but I will be modding Haazel to be either an elf or a tiefling)
another haazel in a world of very finite msd haazels

Cons of 2:
Do I really need two?
$130 shipped for 1 head vs $250.50 shipped for two (not a bad price, don't get me wrong, but do I really want to make that kind of investment right now when I can put the extra money towards a Xagadoll Mizzle or dollzone body for a future hybrid? etc)

 

I’m so glad I got my Rosetta when I did, even if I got her secondhand.

I wish I could get a second doll from them last minute, but I don’t have the funds right now sadly

 

I'm glad buying heads is an option. I've hybrid my Jeremy on a KDF body in the past so I know they're very doable hybrids. And I'd rather have as many of their unique heads as possible.

Rosetta reminds me of KDF Sweety Bory Romance (A head I fortunately have) which is probably why I love her so. But Sarubia is just so exemplary of LMs style, I think I'll have to get her head at least in a few sizes.

 

@Epona hopefully you are able to get at least one little haazel. The bjd world needs more little haazel

They can also go with Luts model delf body, both girls and boys. @A Wee Tiefling

I would like to put an order in too, just waiting for their reply regarding extra limb parts. I'd love a gloomy Irin. Irin is quite special for me... being my 2nd msd bjd (1st one was a bit of disappointment)

anyone have ever do comparison how the double jointing elbow and knee compare to luts (mdf or kdf), df-h or doll legend?

 

I don't have pictures (yet) but I'm quite fond of their Echo girl body. It's a big improvement over the Little Harmony girl body (except for the torso joint).
I do not like the elbow joints of the DF-H girl body so I personally prefer the Echo girl's elbow joint.

If you want I can take some comparison pictures this week.

Would you recommend getting a body too? It would be harder to afford heads and body, and if I read correctly Luts is easy to hybrid.

How is their white skin? (how pale)

 

@Pyoko I just got a Little Sarubia in white skin and she is definitely a pink white rather than a paper white or similar variation. Hope that helps!

 

Does anyone know if echo body can use the basic feet and heel feet from classic little harmony. I asked them but i am confused with their answer

 

Yes that's no problem at all. One of my echo girls currently uses little Harmony high heel feet. She's using Echo girl arms and legs, a little Harmony torso and a mixture of echo and little Harmony hand and feet parts.

I've Frankensteined the Echo girl with the Little Harmony girl and lots of parts are interchangeable:

(Cocoa cream parts: echo girl, WS: little Harmony girl)

Do you maybe own Ringdolls? They have a very pale normal skin and so I have thought about hybriding little Monica white skin with them.

Though I guess little Monica normal is pretty light too if it works with Luts. At least I heard Luts is a light skin, I don't own one.

 

I have LM white in this thread so you can see how it compares to other whites

I'd recommend getting heads if you have some Must Haves as LM heads are very easy to hybrid. I'd make a guess they'd do well on Fairyland bodies too (Something I can try later) as well as Resinsoul etc. The match was best with Luts but that's only what I had on hand.
I've got Rye coming. I decided to get Sarubia in the muse size so it looks like I won't be getting more.

I don't have any pics with Little Monica resin, though can try to take some this weekend. But, Ringdoll normal used to match Granado white, which isn't the case anymore. I posted some pics of Ringdolls with some other dolls here (including Granado white), maybe it'll help. ^^

at least get the heads.

@Pyoko if it is NS, it also match well will withdoll. My current Irin is on withdoll. Although I don't think withdoll sells only body.

yay for another Rye @A Wee Tiefling I would love to see how you style your Rye. I don't see many on IG.

 

One of the reasons I grabbed Rye was his teefs! I love how many smiling boy sculpts LM has. I'm also picking up a Tommy secondhand to complete my "Smiling boy" collection. Which...looks weird on text.
While on the subject of hybrids, I wonder how Blue Fairy bodies work. I've seen the reverse (BF head on LM body) but I'm curious about the match. I love the tooth and grain on LM resin, it's always been my fave. This is really bumming me out. I really hope the LM workers are doing ok.

 

So Bella is another sculpt I recently fell in love with, and since LM is closing I decided to order her since she was in stock at Denver Doll
She is technically my second bjd but she will probably arrive before my True Love order
I'm so excited!

Placed my order for Gloomy Irin's head. Unfortunately they won't sell parts, I regrett didn't get them before.

Btw... anyone know how to use your points? I didn't see a place to put mine in when placing my order. Guess I'll ask them.
