Twiddle66 -- The ears are actually a keychain from Disney World, straight from the source My husband bought them for me when we were there in October -- he figured they'd fit somebody around here and he was right. They fit Mui best and look the best on her so she got to keep them. I guess the caption should have been "Daddy brought me Mickey Ears", lol...

IXDOLL seems a lot more active on flickr and facebook these days -- I wonder if they're waking up from the baby fog....

 

Gosh! I guess the website is never coming back! Has anyone heard any details about Ixtee coming back to life? I MISS MUICHAN!!!!

Ixtee's facebook page looked promising for awhile back in January with a new mini Mui Chan looking to be released..and then nothing!They have disappeared into the void again! It is very weird and frustrating.

Right now I would just be happy if they were selling just the outfits and accessories again..my Mui Chan girls want a tricycle

 

Agreed, it's sad... and I really want some sneakers!
I was hopeful too for a while, since their facebook page was being updated around that time. Perhaps they did the doll show but couldn't get back into the daily grind afterwards? A new baby can do that to you.

I think I got the very last Mui to leave Hong Kong... and it was quite an ordeal, with the slow boat delivery. Right now, I'd be satisfied with a few listings on e*ay...

 

I just happened to check Facebook, and it looks as if they will be back soon. There is a very cute picture of the baby with a Mini-Mui-Chan.

 

That would be a dream come true! Its been FAR TOO LONG!!! Lol

After such a long hiatus i hope they start back up with a BJD Mui-chan version and not a Mini. But as long ad they come back I guess ill accept whatever. But i wont buy another Mini muichan.

I saw this!! I have not been able to think of much else!! Lol so excited. Wish the Panda costume was on a BJD Mui-chan, but i will probably buy one to support them and the shop reopening and hope for some new clothes/shoes to fit BJD dolls! Miki is such a spunky Love!

I don't know if I'll have enough pennies to order a mini Mui Chan but I am super excited about being able to get some new goodies for my little Mui Gang!

So far on the wishlist are lots of those adorable little converse boots and a tricycle!!

Now we need to keep an eye on their facebook page so we know as soon as they are open

 

Every time i see there are new pics over at IXDoll i get excited, but then i see more waffles, more food stuff. Is it just me or is anoyne else feeling the imbalance? Am I collecting dolls or watching the food network? Personally i feel like the food thing was covered extensively with Mui-chan 7 Cafe. I was hoping for a return to the little girl with the big imagination, not just a stomach. What happened to going to school and playing dress up as a chick or a wolf or pretending to be Red riding hood? What happened to Mui-chan's fascination with toys and cute childish things? I sure hope Mui-chan v 8 isn't going to be dressed in another grown up foodworker costume. Mix it up a little IXDoll and let her play a little again.

What about that adorable dragon mask new year outfit or a kimono release if you are tired of toys.

Honestly, I think it's a new venture for them that's only marginally related to Mui Chan, the doll. It's a waffle cafe with a cute dolly logo....
Now whether they get back to doll stuff, I'm hopeful, but not holding my breath...

Those kitty and panda Mui-Chans are adorable!! I really like the Tiger son one 'cause it comes with an grey cat magnet.

Tho I kinda wish that these were available in the BJD-version as well.

 

Does anyone know what size wig Mini Mui-Chan's fashion? Their heads are much bigger than regular Mui-Chan!

FINALLY!!! Ixtee will be opening tomorrow for a limited 10th anniversary celebration. Four previous editions will be available -- Cafe, Play with Me and Bath Time Mui and Fat Chai, version II.

gosh, I was really hoping for Fat Chai, version I with his awesome "OOOOO" face but Bath Time is looking promising too...

It has been a while since I had a little Mui Chan live with me as I had a big downsize and let my Mui Chan girls go but I must admit I have missed them so I am very pleased to have this chance to own a Mui girl again!

I've ordered a Bathing Duck Mui Chan and hopefully she will arrive in time for Christmas..

I want to too but I'm having problems with Paypal through Ixtee -- I can't seem to get to my Paypal credit option. As my car just got new brakes for Christmas and my daughter is making a list and checking it twice, layaway is the only way I'm going to afford one for me ...

 

I hope Ixtee will do a layaway for you - these little dolls do empty your purse! That is why I had to choose and order just one,even though I like them all
It would be nice if Ixtee did a more budget friendly "pic 'n mix" option where you could just order a body/replacement parts or specific faceplate instead of just the fullsets,but at the the moment I am just thankful that they have restocked after so long.

 

just noticed that I've never written here... I've ordered a Mui-Chan version VI at the beginning of the event because they told me they were very limited (but I see that they're still available) and she's been shipped! I hope customs will not kidnap her for too long

 

My girl has shipped out too - with luck we will be able to meet our new Mui Chan girls before Christmas - what a lovely festive treat parcel to look forward too!

 

oh yes! I can't wait and the tracking is not very helpful, it only says that it has been shipped... not like ems that says from where it's shipped and in which city or country it is, step by step

she came to me today! she actually arrived the 29th but the postman left her to my neighbour I saw in the tracking site the she had been delivered but I can't knock at everyone's door to ask if they have my package! well, she's here now and pictures will come tomorrow ^^

she's really really cute but actually I don't feel excited as much as I expected, maybe because of the second face with open mouth, I don't know...I'm thinking that maybe I had to buy version V with bathtub, grumpy face and specially the ducky :P well they're still for sale and I could think about buying a second one...if I had the money

 

She's really sweet - I do like her lollipop face! Maybe give her a little time and see if she grows on you?

They are expensive - I know I've said it before but it would be much nicer if Ixtee sold the faceplates and bodies separately..

 

yeah, I wish they could sell faceplates and hands separately! I would get the grumpy face which in my opinion is the perfect mui-chan face XD the one with the lollipop can be used also as happy face so I'm happy with that

anyway I saw a movie a couple of days ago and there was a chinese little girl with a lollipop and with that naughty mui-chan attitude, her name was Lìnlìn, so I decided to call my girl Lin

Missing my Mui Chan and wondering if anyone had new pictures to post! I'm tempted to get one of the new re-releases, but still would like to get one with a grumpy face....I need more patience, I guess! Here's a picture of my old Mui Chan that moved on a while back.

 

I don't know if Mui Chan is the same of mini Mui Chan? Can mini Mui Chan wear the outfit for Lati Yellow? What are the exact measurements of mini Mui Chan?

 

Mini Mui Chan is the one with the big rubber hair do which is not a BJD. If you want to learn more about Mui Chan go to Facebook pages. Mui-Chan Lovers United This seems to be the page for Europe and Holland, but USA participate too. Also, Mui-Chan International School which is Hong Kong and has mainly the Mini Muichans.

 

Still waiting on Ixtee to bring back the BJDs, but it looks like they have another (newer) model that's not even bjd. Boooo.

 

A friend is selling her muichan in the second hand Market and I super feel like buying it although Im low on money, ugh, ideal always wanted one TT_TT

This thread has been moved to Brigadoon, since many of the IXDoll/Ixtee dolls were made in ABS plastic, not resin, and there doesn't seem to be a consensus about which were which.
