Yes they are normally, depends on how much value Iple put on the box but they usually show a low value so I was charged I think around £30 ish.

 

Thanks for the answer, @avrilpaeony. That has me less worried than what someone else told me (70-80) on another 'forum'. I feel they might have misread FID for, say, EID or something. I remember paying £72.49 or thereabouts for a doll similarly sized to an EID, so I wouldn't expect a smaller FID to cost that much.

I have the green word "SHIPPING" in my account of my March 23rd order of SID Aaliyah with makeup!

Now we wait (I live in the US) Usually, I have the box in my hands 5-7 days after they ship. Now with Covid, we'll see how long of a transit it will take.

 

I'm new here and very excited to be joining! I ordered an Iplehouse Aaliyah on an SID body in dark brown tan through Doll Choice. I am so excited to get her. As a child I had a Magic Attic Club Keisha Vance (a little like a cheaper American Girl doll). My Aaliyah is that same Keisha all grown up. I'm so looking forward to shelling her character into a new doll that looks quite a bit like how she'd look as an adult. I feel like a favourite childhood character is able to grow up with me. The only thing I wanted but couldn't get was ebony resin for her since I do have a Benny and she is GOREGOUS. I've been obsessed with that ebony resin ever since, but alas. It seems to be mostly discontinued.

I have at least one other childhood OC that I'd like to shell in ebony resin, so if it every does come back I'll be back on Iple's boards. This is my first direct purchase from them though.

5 months now on my Caleb and no notice yet, but I'm not terribly bothered about it, given how long some other companies are taking...

 

Yay congrats! EMS deliveries to the US appear to be going fairly smoothly, even with Covid, from my own experience and some other doll friends I've talked to!
I live in the US too and recently got a package via EMS from Taiwan (I bought stuff for my Pullip dolls from HelloCoolCat) and it only took like 3 days to get the package! CoolCat told me they sent it on Tuesday of that week and it arrived that Friday! USPS made the final delivery to my house too, so I was expecting an extra day or so for that.

So good to see so many people getting that sweet, sweet shipping notice

 

I ordered my doll back around April/May. I haven’t gotten any updates since (though I have a confirmation email). I can’t access my account on the site for some reason so I can’t even see the status.

Doll was paid for in-full, and I’m still waiting.

 

Iplehouse still offers the "ebony" skin tone. They offer it like 2-3 times a year. Write them a "Q&A" asking if they can tell you when they will offer "ebony skin tone" again.

 

Well, that's not okay. Accessing accounts seems to be working fine for me. Have you emailed them and asked if they can send you your account info and/or look into it?

I ordered back in April, still haven't got any sort of update on my order, posted a update-request on IH Q&A, hoping to get some sort of answer/ update.

I'm a bit nervous, since according to IH, the still don't ship to Finland, although they haven't update that info at all since they released it.
This is my first doll, ever, so everything is new, really thankful for this forum, people are so nice and helpful!

 

@Litenliten I am interested in the progress of your order since your situation is the same. No update on the EMS shipping being unavailable to certain countries. My HID Elle was ordered mid January but on layaway and paid up my mid March.

I am sure you will love your first Iplehouse doll.

 

My last IH order I was waiting on is shipping, my Noel boys just updated to shiping.
One is human and one has the imp parts/head. (I have the YID Noel that was discontinued, and so now will have 3 IH "Noel" dolls. X3)

Well, my Bichun is in my country; held up in customs. And I can't concentrate on anything while I wait for further updates.

 

I feel you, my girl hasn't moved since she got to the Seoul International Post Office on the 28th and I'm so distracted waiting for an update lol

 

Well, super big surprise - my boy shipped today! I just about dropped my phone when I saw that his status changed to shipped! Iplehouse told me he wouldn't be ready until late September.

 

Apparently my Caleb has shipped, though once again I didn't get an email. So now I have two dolls in shipping limbo with no idea when they'll arrive.

 

@Sianserais oh, wow. Two dolls is pretty fun though! How long have you been waiting on your first doll so far?
I did not get an email either. I was just bored and decided to go on iple’s site. Was not expecting to see shipping!

 

Oh, well, that doll is from another company, so I probably shouldn't have brought it up here. But it's been 11 months since I ordered that one, and 8 days so far since the shipping notice and it still hasn't left the origin country as far as I can tell. It would be pretty funny if they met in transit and arrived together, though. I've had that happen twice before!

 

I ordered in April as well, but I was a custom faceup jobby and totally expected things to take longer due to the pandemic. Starting to feel that impatient longing excitement though!

 

Oh I feel your pain on the shipping woes! I ordered my boy in December last year, due to ship when the pandemic broke out... still waiting, and still no EMS service to Norway or updates/notifications from the staff. I did see an admin note on the order saying ‘premium 120000won’, it could be the amount I need to fork out for alternate shipping?

It also took me about a month of trying to access my account due to password issues, it seems the reset mails don’t always get through (not even to the spam folder). Hang in there! We’ll get our lovelies home safe soon!

 

Well I haven't gotten an answer from IH yet, will keep you updated tho!
Hopefully you will get some kind of an update soon!

Oop- I came to mention that my boy's being held to ransom by my country's courier after getting struck by customs...

 

So, for anybody in the USA, EMS has posted updates regarding the shipping situation. If I'm reading the translation right, due to a lack of manpower, communication, and mail accumulation at Chicago and LAX there are delays in mail acceptance and customs clearance. Delays could last up to 90 days

Gotta say, I'm glad EMS is holding their packages rather than throwing them into the mess that is USPS right now. I'm just surprised because I thought there were more than 2 international mail hubs they sent to?

 

my tracking number now isn't working, as of getting in the US T_T
I really hope my grey skinned boys are not stuck for 90 plus days.
I use to get an IH doll in 4 days shipping time, then it jumped to about two weeks in this.

 

That's not good, 90 days is just bonkers. I was hoping on sending (my eventually incoming Camilla) to a faceup artist in the US, I may have to rethink my plans.
I really hope your postal service doesn't get destroyed by your government.

8/10 (tomorrow morning), the package will be at my local PO
In the past, when Iple shipped, I got my order within 7 days, this order took 12.

Once it got into Chicago, I was able to track using USPS.com

 

Looks like the USPS tracking page is down.

 

Stressed out here. My Aria is in transit, but the last thing I saw was that there had been 2 unsuccessful delivery attempts in Inchon. Does anybody know what this means?

Also, one of my invoice numbers does not work, the other one does, and they both seem to be for Aria. Iplehouse has not replied to my query, but that may be because it is an EMS invoice and is out of their hands.

How do I know when she gets Stateside? Thanks!

Update: IH says my tracking numbers are fine, ignore the one that doesn’t work. Yay, Iplehouse! But still comment on the unsuccessful delivery, please.

 

@Frillseeker - Because of the backlog of packages, it's very possible that the hub in Inchon can't accept any more right now. You should definitely keep an eye on that to see if it gets sent back to IH. Are you in the US or somewhere else? We're having an additional slow-down in some places right now thanks to changes in operations. The entire shipping situation is a mess. But things still seem to be getting to their destinations eventually (so far) so I'm afraid the best advice I can give you is to just hang in there for now.

 

Congratulations on your amazing luck! Unfortunately my Yur who was sent on 7/28 hasn't updated since 7/28. :/ Hasn't left Seoul. I wonder what the difference was since mine was sent a day earlier.

Yes, I am in Texas and so much appreciate your advice. It really takes the stress down! It does seem that, with patience and a little luck, everything gets delivered. I think I may order another doll, what the heck. She’ll get here one day!

 

If things were normal, I'd have likely gotten my boy last week.

14 days after he shipped, and I'm still waiting on the ransom... I mean customs slip having received nothing over the weekend or today. It will likely be tomorrow. And I'm hoping he can be delivered as early as Wednesday, as I'll have two days off to admire his blank beauty before having to go back to work. I don't really want to receive him on a workday, having to leave him after only a couple hours with him.

Hopefully all those waiting for travelling dolls get them soon. And the situation gets better for future dolls [I keep looking at their other FIDs for other characters...].

 

Update: no customs slip today, either... They want it paid, don't they?!

 

Oh my goodness. She’s here! (SID Aria). I just unboxed her, and as soon as I have something made for her to wear, I’ll post pictures. It only took about a week from first notice of shipping to having her in my arms! Thanks for all your hand-holding, I needed it! ❤️

Now all I am waiting for is my HID woman.

One month down on waiting for my Dean, maybe several more to go. My daughter keeps asking when Aria's boyfriend is arriving, and it's really cute.

 

My Yur has finally after two weeks been handed over to an air carrier. I guess instead of having her go to Anchorage and then get distributed elsewhere they decided to wait for room on a direct SFO flight. Unfortunately, the flight she's supposed to go on doesn't run on Tuesdays so she won't even leave for over 12 hours from now. T_T

Looks like my other doll might have finally been handed over to the airline, but not my Caleb yet. Ah well.

 

It's ages since I last got a customs slip through Parcelforce, so I can't remember how long it took to come through. But everything seems to be backed up, not just postal services and couriers.

Still, you'd think they would want it paid ASAP, so why can't they update their systems and save paper by putting a link in the tracking? Or something that allows it to be done online without having to wait for a physical slip in the post?

 

Update: Customs came in, lower than anticipated! THANK YOU, IPLEHOUSE!

That can only mean one thing; Bichun's coming home tomorrow!! Happy dance!

Also, commiserations for those still waiting for delayed dolls. My boy got to the 2.5-week mark.

.. So I finally got a reply from IH. My SID Mari is ready to be shipped, but they are holding her until EMS will resume shipping to Finland. (when will this happen??)
But get this, if I pay 84USD, they will ship her with EMS premium (UPS )
I feel kind of bummed out that I have to wait for who knows how much longer, or pay a lot extra, plus customs, to get her. I can't help but feel like I'm getting ripped off?

 

Litenliten, if it makes you feel any better, my shipping costs are $130-$200 per doll. I think of it as being cheaper than flying to Korea and picking her up myself.

 

@ivorysand - Yay! And of course Bichun is as handsome as ever. ^_^ Congrats and good luck with him!

@Litenliten - Yeah, this situation is hurting everyone involved, but I'm sure that doesn't feel like a fair choice. I'm sorry that your first experience ordering a doll had to be affected by this.

 

Well it took a couple days but she cleared customs today so she'll be here hopefully in a few days. Maybe Monday but the way the post office has been going lately probably Tuesday. XD;

VeraLyne - there’s a couple of REALLY good buys on eBay right now from tiredfrog. I just got an Asa EID, body blushed, manicured, and with the face-up I wanted. The shipping was high, but she had her COA and all accessories. Tiredfrog was fast, and for the quality and value for a second-hand doll I was amazed.

I’m in San Antonio, where are you? We aren’t even trying to go out in the afternoon it’s so bad! And I love the heat.

My phone wants to wash her out so badly, had to fight to get it into any kind of shape. Her eyes came set funny but I was too tired to fix it. They need replacement pronto anyway, I hate acrylics. XD;

Need to fix her eyes, swap her feet so she can wear her shoes I got her, and get this girl outside for some decentish photos.

Also, I'll update on my boy: He arrived in New York this morning, Aug 17, and is at the post office there currently! USPS tracking isn't updating for me (it still says 'origin post is preparing shipment' ) so I'm having to rely on EMS tracking. Fingers crossed I see him by the end of the week buuuut I'm guessing I should probably set my expectations to the end of this month
