I ordered mine March 19th, no faceup but I did choose Peach gold resin (and I've heard non standard resins can take longer for some reason) and am expecting to mine to get SHIPPED no sooner than the end of July. The shipping info on the doll pages says "Dolls will be finished with 60~90 business days after ordering." so I went for 90 so as not to disappoint myself as that tends to be how long most take anyway. I still check my order every day though even though I've seen a lot of people don't even get a notification of shipping before the order arrives.
There is a very active discussion thread for FIDs and yes, it might be a better place for these issues... /threads/iplehouse-fashion-doll-discussion-part-12.840073/page-26
I have purchased a number of dolls with custom faceups (though not FIDs). However, they've just been things like asking to change the color of something, swapping out one doll's full faceup for another, or mixing and matching parts from IH's own examples. I've never sent them something like a photo of a real person and asked them to recreate a look like that, if that's what you're asking. I did have ONE issue with the last one. Ada had two heads, and I wanted a custom faceup on one, but not the other. I was clear about that when I asked about it on the Q&A, but then I failed to clarify it in the note on my actual order, and they ended up putting the same faceup on both heads. Because it was my error, I didn't bother to contact them about it. So I strongly suggest you make sure you're very detailed about what you want in your order note too! In any case, I've always been pleased with the quality of what they've sent me. Hope that helps.
this is exactly what I was thinking of doing glad to see someone else has done it I love the SID sculpts specifically Eva, but they're just a little too much (size and financially). Hoping to get Eva's face with some very light, barely-there, freckles. No idea if that will turn out okay. but I guess I'll find out!
Since you've already been looking into it, you may have seen this notice, but just in case, I'll point it out anyway: Regarding Custom Make Up In short, ask them about what you want on the Q&A first, before you order. As far as I know that info is still applicable. (If anyone knows otherwise, feel free to correct me.)
Does Iplehouse have a support eMail address where you can reach them? My Iplehouse account is inaccessible so I can't log in there anymore and I've been totally unable to get their attention. I've attempted to reset the password on multiple occasions but I've never received the eMail with temporary credentials. Super frustrating.
@TomB - I'm guessing you already tried the [email protected] listed at the bottom of the page? I can say that email has been an issue with Iplehouse for a long time now. I had to switch my address to another provider (gmail) to get any order updates, and I still don't know if all of them are getting through. Edit: I could try posting on the Q&A for you, if you want?
Thanks so much for the offer. I'll try "service" one more time and if it doesn't work I may want to take you up on your offer. My whole life is in a turmoil right now. We may move into an independent living senior center and if we do I'll likely lose my dolls and photo studio set up so the whole issue may become irrelevant.
@TomB oh no! I’m a serious senior so I can relate. I hope all works out so you don’t need to lose your dolls and photo studio. Hang in there!
I will also post on the Q&A if need be, maybe if multiple people bother them they'll fix it sooner. I'm saddened to hear you're going through a tough time and also really hope you don't lose your dolls and photo studio. I see a lot of your work on the photo threads and it brightens my day.
Thanks Emma! Since Carol and I quit traveling the dolls are my primary photo focus. Good to know that my work is appreciated.
I've ordered from Iplehouse 4 times and never gotten an email , they make me so nervous, but there has never been a problem with my orders. I'm waiting for YID Amy since Feb. So excited, I also check my account on their website daily. :-)
Since the beginning of the year I have written Iplehouse at [email protected] on three occasions. I have yet to receive a reply from them. If anyone knows a better way to contact them I'd love to hear it.
I have always use their support on their website for years and they have always answered me. I suggest you try that. You have to be login in to do so.
...and that is exactly why I'm trying to eMail them. For whatever reason I'm totally unable to log into my account. Their mechanism to send temporary credentials to my eMail seems broken as several attempts on my part to activate that has completely failed. Now they aren't replying to eMail.
@TomB A similar thing happened to a friend of mine. In the end, I left them a message on the support board on her behalf. Is there someone that could do the same for you? I'd be happy to help you. In other news, I am now at the sixteen week mark and still waiting. I'm trying very hard not to contact them and find out if my dollies are ever coming home.
@EmeraldPixie oh no! that's awful. did you get a shipping notice? or are they just in limbo somewhere? on a side note, has anyone found any articulated hands that fit female FID's?
@Maud no, no shipping notice and not in limbo.Still waiting to be shipped. However in happier news, the doll I ordered a week later (so only a 15 week wait) has shipped! I fear we have been spoiled in the past with Iple's (relatively) short wait times. They are dealing with big make up delays so I think they've maybe lost at least one artist.
I could not take the waiting any longer I wrote iple a Q&A asking about the status of my 2 Dec orders, they said that both heads are at the makeup artist, and they should be shipped early May.
You are kidding. That is so unusual for them and hopefully not the usual for now on. I"m sorry that you are having to wait that long. I got a FID ordered and maybe she will arrive around NOV/DEC by their schedule. wow. Susie were they custom face ups?
@susieagent99 - That IS unusual, even for something ordered during the holiday sales. I wouldn't be surprised if they've had to let some of the staff go. (Of course people could have just been out sick...) @TomB - Any updates? Did you try using a different email provider to see if that helps?
@susieagent99 , I feel your pain. I also had two Dec orders and I also caved in and wrote to them. They told me that my earlier order was with the makeup artist and the other order, placed a week later was shipped the next day. He arrived home yesterday. Hopefully you wont have to wait for too much longer. I've also never known the wait times be so long.
I have gSRS Rania on eid with fid raffine "a" type makeup I have DB elf Vera on yid with isis makeup with becky "a" brows.
Of course. I will admit I has reservations about the faceup myself as it is the faceups that are causing the delays. I was worried it might be somewhat rushed. Here is a picture from the box opening and I am more than pleased with how he has turned out. I always take a head shot that I can zoom in on and check for any faults I still find it odd that he arrived first, having such a detailed and complex faceup because the lady I ordered a week before him was ordered with just her default makeup and no special requests. Still, I'd rather wait as long as it takes than have them compromise on the faceups. Faceup by Emerald Pixie, on Flickr
I've given up. They have never answered any of my requests. If I ever really need anything from Iplehouse I'll have my wife create an account or find someone who will piggyback my request onto their order. I'm done with them.
I just received my Owen in the mail today, and he is more beautiful in person than in photos- even when eyeless, naked, bald, and without a face up. I can’t wait to share photos I’m box openings
thanks for the photo! I'm just wondering how the latest dolls with makeup are turning out from iple. I've seen an HID Elle, and i have a friend who requested custom makeup from Dec and iple just wrote them saying they cant do what they requested, or they want more money. (sigh)
Am I understanding correctly that your friend placed her order in Dec and now they're asking for more money to honour the order? Strange things have happened to me too. As some people have said they never get email notifications when their orders are shipping ( I always, without fail have) I logged into my account a couple of weeks ago because of how long I'd been waiting, just to see if either of my orders had shipped. I noticed that although I'd paid in full at the time I ordered, my order page was saying that there was still $15+ owing... I waited to see what would happen but nothing did. He was shipped last week with no request for extra money. Now, however, my points are in the minus. How can I have minus points? Has anyone else noticed a change in their points or any other oddities?
The extra $15 was probably for shipping, which they have asked me and a few others in the past to pay extra for shipping on some orders, which we have. And if you didn't pay, most likely they subtracted the amount from your points leaving them in minus which is weird. Could be the next time you order you may be charged that extra amount. WHo knows. But if you want to be sure, go ask them. The extra shipping had never happen before with them but it started the last couple of years, during covid, because of EMS changes in the way they (EMS) measure shipping, the shipping could change. So shipping is not really set, like you think from what we have seen. SInce it takes them a couple of months or so to mail and with shipping cost changing, they were covering the difference in the orders until they could not afford to keep doing it and asked people for the difference. Uncertain shipiping is something I wasn't crazy about because I like knowing for sure what it is going to be when I purchase something. But it is what it is. They made a notice about the EMS charging changes when they stop using their shipping outer boxes. Here is the notice about the change Support < Notice < New shipping fee policy ps. I got thinking about this and I think I may have figured it out. SInce you paid in full, you would get a certain amount of points at the moment that your order is delivered. If your points are in minus,, let say -5 and you would have gotten 10 points from your order, then in reality you would only get 5 points instead of the 10. Of course that's my theory. It doesn't make it the truth.
Update: Yes, Iple was asking for more money but, my friend referred them back to the "Q&A's" that they had, and the makeup prices were agreed upon at THAT time. So long story short, iple is doing the makeup request as is ordered, and not, requiring more money. This is really sad that a company is changing things last minute, without notice, then if we balk, suddenly, they fall back. I'm really starting to think that iple is "testing" people and that, just isn't right They told me on 4/21 that my order that i placed on 12/17/21 will ship next week. Well, that next week was last week, and no doll. They told me on 4/21 that my order that i placed on 12/30/21 will ship early May. All I'm thinking is, if I don't have my 2 dolls by 5/30 I'm opening a PayPal case, and I want a full refund.
@susieagent99 That's good that your friend can get her face up by the price previously agree on. It's a bit disappointing to hear what is going on with them. I hope you can get your dollies in the time they have given you.
I ordered a Miho FID (only extras were mobility thighs and non-custom faceup) on 02 Feb and paid in full. After reading through the horror delay stories here, I became alarmed and decided to follow-up on my order on 29 Apr. Imagine my shock when I received the reply “Your Miho and its production list have been transferred to the production team and is currently waiting for production.” I was absolutely astounded that they went 3 months without doing anything, and kept the customer in the dark. I understand that delays are unavoidable during these times and can fully accept them. However, I just wished that Iplehouse had the courtesy to inform me beforehand and not drop a bomb like that!
oh oh. This is not their usual standard method of operation. I know they said it may take 2 -3 months to make the dolls, but from your message it seems that's not the case at the moment.
It seems it is taking about 4 months instead of the more normal 2-3 months...which has happened in the past after a big holiday event.
Many thanks for the info I've contacted Iplehouse again and asked them for an estimated period when they will finish the doll. I am resigned to the extra waiting but it would good not to be left in the dark and have some kind of time frame - even if it means several more months. Keeping my fingers crossed!
Update: IH replied that the production of the doll has been completed and it is now waiting for the faceup which they informed me they have to outsource to a freelancer. So it seems that IH must be understaffed in this particular area. I just hope that the freelance work is up to their in-house standard. Shipping is estimated to be around mid-May.
I am still waiting for my order of KID Paige since 13th January. I put a request on Q&A 11th April asking when she would be shipped a they said they had a back-log and that it would be ready end of April beginning of May. I didn’t realise it would take so long and in the mean time I’ve ordered a Special Edition Daisy. Goodness knows how long she is going to take.
Good to hear that you have heard back from them. Yes. It seems that the backlog is not on the production as much as in the face up department. Iple use to have on staff several face ups artists, but it seems they are now freelancing. This is what we have been hearing any way. The Freelance is backed up.
Well, its now two weeks since I was told my doll was i"in the process of makeup" , thus making the total waiting time (so far) just over 20 weeks.
Placed a order for FID fantasy hands on May 6th, and they shipped yesterday (May 17th) WOW! that was fast! I'm so impressed with that speed that, I placed an order last night for EID & SID ladies with no makeup. Hoping that, they come just as fast!
Update: My doll order from February was shipped out today! There was no email notification from IH but I just happened to login into my IH account and saw the updated status along with tracking info. A welcome surprise indeed!
An update! I got an email this morning to notify me that my doll has been shipped! I ordered 19th March and the details for my order are below in case it helps anyone: JID, Peach gold, Mobility thigh, Original body, large bust, no makeup.
Update: My order arrived yesterday! I am very happy with the doll despite some production delay issues but IH managed to miraculously deliver within the expected time frame. Doll: FID Miho, normal skin, normal body, small bust, mobility thigh, faceup A Log (2022): Ordered Feb 02 / Shipped May 20 / Received May 25 I hope everyone receives their doll soon, safe and sound!
