Lost/Damaged Iplehouse; question about dolls ordered in the past few months.

I received my SID Cherie within 30 working days but I have some issue.

Iple forget to mark price lower as I ask so I got to pay alot for Customs (paid 3 times more than I ever paid. ) but they said they had lost package so they mark price as $100-250, this one I can understand.

Other problem is my Cherie face up, her eyelashes and eyebrows are gorgeous but her lip looks like it was done by amateur. Her lips is just a bunch of lines which does not look good if you want to take her close up shot.

More over, I saw many white spots on her face that looks like they are not cover with coating.

They appear on some angle and depend on the way that light reflex but honestly, I want to take photo of my girl in every angles without worry about those white spots will appear on her photos and don't want to see them while I play with her.

I really like this girl but these problem make me feel disappoint with Iple QC.

I play BJD for 6 years, own many dolls from different company but I never found any Default face-up that has many defects like this.

I ask Iple about this and hope they will do somethings to fix it.

So sorry to hear about your problem, that scare me a lot, because I have order Jessica last month (I know they are behind with the order so finger cross that I got her in good condition)

How much do you have to pay the custom in Thailand? just curious.

I think you don't have to worry because most of people received their doll without problem. In my case, It is like I hit a jackpot.

I sure your Jessica will come home in perfect condition!

I paid $100 for customs. Normally, I paid no more than $30. The customs I pay is depend on how much they mark on box.

About face up, Iple ask me to send her head to them and they will fix problem.

I am happy about Iple is trying to solve problem.

Glad to hear your problem can be solve with IH, $100 (US you mean or THB?, if US dollars sound a lot to me) I am Thai but live in Australia, so I don't know if I have to pay tax for Jessica or not hopefully not because I ask around and no one had pay anything yet when the doll arrive, but other issue I have with IH is they said I make sure someone should be home when the parcel arrive otherwise they will be return to IH? is that true? do you anything about that? I think if I am not home it should end up at the post or something or someone should give me a call. It's sound funny to me that it will be return immediately to Korea!!! lol

Yes,I paid $100 (or 3000 THB). This hurt me alot and make me don't want to order any doll again.....
(but I still wishing for Real skin Theo, if I want him that much I will just risk and order him.)

About return package, I think customs or main post office will hold package for a while. Like Kitakawa said, ask your local post office should be the best solution. ^ ^

In Thailand, parcel that value exceeds 1000THB (or around $30) have to pay fee so every doll owner in Thailand know they have to prepare some money for customs fee when they order dolls. Some might lucky but most of the time if you are order big doll you have to pay customs fee.

Well, I don't know if anyone else here from AU has experienced anything different but I've never had any tax / tariff charged on any dolls to date (and the total of my last parcel did exceed $1000). However, if there's anyone out there in AU who has had tax / tariff charges on their arrivals I'd like to know too for future reference so I know what to watch out for.

 

Wow, I'm glad I stumbled across this. I'm saving up for JID Asa but I don't know if I'll get her in tan skin. I might just send her out to get died after I do the mods I want to do. Hmm.

 

I received my SID Eva yesterday. She arrived with a badly sanded bubble on her butt. I noticed the bubble first, then in the right lighting saw sanding scratches all over them. Not cool.

Also, she had a seam in her upper thigh that looked as if they'd 'cut' it off. It was along the seam line, but definitely a knife cut.

Almost nothing compared to the other dolls on this thread, but still...They're not doing much better.

I got her quickly at least. 30sum working days. Her faceup is beautiful and I got everything with my order.

 

Eh? More problems.. It seems people are having more problems with the bigger dolls then the smaller ones it seems. I received my Special Skin "I" last month with no major problems then I thought it. I fact she had less rough seams then my first Iple doll. No marbling nothing. She did had a tiny chunk of resin in one of her eye socket, but with came out easily when I poked it with my finger nail. And there is this odd tiny black mark above her nipple which doesn't bother me since its hidden and it can be a birthmark. I heard no issues with other JIDs. It's unfortunate people got bad dolls then others. I had any problems yet, and I like to order more JIDs next year.

Oh and custom thing. I notice Iple marked my parcels down without me asking them. Strange, but I didn't mind since I didn't have to pay customs.

 

This thread had me nervous but after receiving my NS SID Storm, he has almost no flaws, and really he just has jagged seams, thats it, everything else is up to par. Hope that eases some minds around here.

 

I saw the answer and thank you for sharing this. Since i got bad wig from them and not satisfying answer, I became hesitate to have their doll.
If the finishing is like this, i'd rather save my money for other doll though. Their dolls are pretty expensive so of course customers deserve the best!

 

I've also problems with Iple lying in the past. They'd tell me one week that she was finished face-upping, and that she'd be sent out in a few days.

They told me this on three seperate occasions over a course of two months.

But my Luna's here now, and I don't seem to have any problem with her...

 

I hate to talk about this, but I've had a couple of problems with Iplehouse too, one not so bad but the second one pretty disappointing.
I snagged an Iple basic Luo on Ebay and just LOVED him, he had been blushed by his previous owner and is just awesome (I need to post pics!) so I decided I needed Jessica to be his girlfriend. I ordered her from iplehouse with faceup & blushing. Her faceup is okay, nothing spectacular, but that was alright; but as someone else mentioned, her nips were a weird pink color and her hands did look "boiled"! My husband even commented on it. She was pretty darn loose and floppy too, even worse than my first Bobobie! Anyway, I thought "no big deal" and so on February 11, I ordered a basic Tedros with faceup A. I loved that dark, debonair, clean-shaven face. I finally received him today and was so excited until I opened his box and saw that he had faceup B! With all that facial hair! I emailed Iplehouse, after I checked to make sure I had specified faceup A, but haven't received a reply yet. I don't really want to send his head back, but I'm sure not happy with Iplehouse. I'll redo his head myself. If I ever order from Iplehouse again, I sure won't pay for a faceup.

 

Sprocket: Iple sends their dolls loose, especially the bigger ones. I'm sorry that you weren't pleased with her! I am also sorry they sent the wrong Tedros faceup. My Benny's face is well done and the ebony JID girl body I recently ordered is perfect; the seams are barely there..

 

Just an update I ordered a EID Jessica she came perfect. I ordered September 27th and I got her October 28th. Very pleased.

 

i think I got lucky with my girl. Thou I've lost my Tanias back head and I've tried to contact Iplehouse to sell me just the back of the head so I can have a wig on my girls head with no luck. They always tell me to order something and that they would send me an extra back head (not as perfect as a new one would be, but still usable, and nothing. I've made two clothing orders already and no sight of the head.
