Oh no Never good to hear. There's a couple on my wish list too, they were way down on the list so was not intending to get any time soon

Some of the sculpts are relatively new or at least new to basic status as well. Bambi for example has only been out a year on basic, if that. Sad to see them go

Hello, this is Iplehouse.

Today, we want to inform you about SWAT series.
Since alot of customers are asking about whether it is limited or not,
we want to introduce it again.

All items related to SWAT is LIMITED and we won't be releasing it again as a basic item.

Also we will release all Carved Heritage dolls as a limited version and we won't release them as a basic doll.

We decided not to increase basic line since we already have too much characters and it is very hard to manage them effectively.
Instead we will have many special offers through out this year so don't miss them.

Hope you can understand why we had to make this decision and feel free to contact us anytime.

 

Aww, poor Theo - it's the second time he's been discontinued (well, the first was technically a renewal). He doesn't have much luck does he

Darn, that's another set of clothes I better make sure I get before they're gone. And if I ever want that LB Edan, I guess I'll have to my mind up soon... Why do they have to do this now when I'm still paying off 2 HID's? Torture!!

I guess we need to check next with them whether they just mean that they will not be basic and will still be available on DC or if they'll be gone for good... As I read it now it's just their basic status.

The SWAT outfits are so awesome (although I wish they had a female version)!

 

The nYID boy outfit fits the EID woman.

 

Not that I have the dinero for it but I'm assuming it wouldn't fit my oYID? T.T

 

You'd have to pin things in a bit, it's true But a small person in big clothes is easier than a big person in small clothes!

My Zera arrived yesterday and I painted her up, wanted to share a quick photo (a couple more in the unboxing)



I had to get use to the joint system but I love the range of movement! And she doesn't have weird ugly knees like my double jointed Souldoll boy, the joint engineering Iplehouse has is really nice. Also my Supia high heel shoes fit perfectly on her, I'm so happy. Pants are a whole other story though, and some of the dresses don't button up well at the back, but I've had luck with my SD boy tops.

@Forever I'm really interested to know if the Carved Heritage will be in Doll Choice too, you'd think it would be madness for them not to? (if not I'm gonna have to think real hard about that Light Brown Edan though...)

I am hoping that the discontinued basic dolls and the Carved Heritage line are going to be available in DC at the very least. They're all well loved sculpts and it would be shame for them to give up these dolls completely. We'll have to wait and see I guess, but I think I may ask at least if Edan will still be available for a while.

I just ordered my first Iplehouse doll, the Limited SID SWAT Edan in light brown c: I'll start poking around in this thread more now, as I have a few months until he gets here and I know NOTHING about Iplehouse dolls. I love how yall style yours, it's getting me so excited for mine to arrive!

 

Wow congratulations!!! Edan is gorgeous!! I have one in real skin, I'm sure you'll love your boy when he arrives!
And he might ship sooner than you think, just a fyi, my last two dolls took about 2 weeks, granted they didn't have makeup and weren't limiteds, but still Iple's production time is VERY quick.

 

Thanks!! Holy cow that is fast o: Mine is on a layaway plan, so it's nice to know that when I finish that last payment he'll arrive quickly. It gives me a good time frame to buy him a wig, some clothes etc so they're ready when he gets here!

Honestly if you can afford him I'd say grab him, he's in such a gorgeous mocha brown color, it has a lot of potential for looking good under all different kinds of lighting situations. I can't wait to do test photos with mine when he gets here. c:

The temptation is definitely real since he's cheaper this way than through Doll Choice. At least I got a couple more weeks to decide!

 

Yeah the uniforms are neat o: I went without because it doesn't suit my character but tbh they look extremely accurate to me, and that's always nice to see.

Yeah, it's comforting knowing you have time to think about it. It feels so nice to be caught up on doll releases, usually I'm so behind XD

 

Polarisu: Check through the sewing and crafting threads - and the pattern for tutorials for clothes you can make for her. Remember that even if you cant really sew now, if you try you will get better at it. Some people have some great ideas.

I am sad! I really wanted to buy some of these dolls

I cannot understand very well. Some of these dolls are not very popular, but others are.
Well, it seems that not even a renewal got to keep Theo in Iplehouse team.

 

Dang! I had always dreamed of adding a Storm to my crew, but he never became a priority. I am surprised by some of these dolls... I thought Tedros, Luna and Akando were pretty popular. I guess with all the new additions they have, they probably don't get that many orders for these dolls anymore.

 

'Really surprised at some of the sculpts on that list... Akando and Tedros in particular, though I may be a bit biased about those two thanks to Palrah and Cardinal.

I'm still not 100% sure a Cherie is going to look right standing next to a Kiriko, but Iple hasn't given me much more time to waffle about it since she's on the list, too... So, here's to hoping she works out as well as I hope she will for (Human!)Madison. I have a feeling that if I don't at least give her a try, I'll end up regretting it.

And, of course, they have to do this a week AFTER I blow most of my "fun money" on a new telephoto lens for my camera. Of course. <_<

-pokes head in- Everyone's dolls are so pretty!

I've been lurking and reading the Iple threads for a few months now. But I didn't have one of my own, so I didn't say much. But that is now officially going to change!! I didn't want to let another sculpt I adored slip away from me. I've have been fortunate in finding a partner for me to acquire a NS Noel!! Eventually I will get him an SID body, and he'll be my Bucky.

 

Congrats Can't wait to see what you do with him. I don't think I've ever seen Noel as a SID before

 

I recently bought YID Rexy, from a wonderful member of this forum. She arrived yesterday, and i love her. She had her original Halloween face up, but i changed it a bit, so she can fit to her character better. Here is Clarissa Fairchild ( TMI ).

I have nothing for her yet, so i ordered bunch of staff from etsy and eBay. These girls have rather big feet. None of my SD shoes seems to fit her. Do you think SD16/17 shoes will fit her feet?

@suok2011 My girl fits into my Supia's high heel feet, I wish I could remember exactly what size they were though... I'm pretty sure they were this Leeke shoe and this Luts shoe. I've heard SD16 is a pretty good bet but not always guaranteed.

 

I panic-ordered a light brown Patrick and now I'm here... Honestly? I knew since the day I saw Patrick announced, and thought he was the most perfect face for Valgomo that this would happen. I think he's gorgeous, but I could tell by the lack of collector interest as told by the lack of mention or photos that he'd be doomed to this fate. I just am so happy I happened to have the money together to grab him since I kind of doubt I'd find him in light brown second hand. I was within a hair's breath of making him a Tedros, but then I looked up and Patrick happened. For now, Val is going to have to be naked until I decide whether or not I'm keeping the YID body, or hybridizing him onto a Granado or even Dollstown body. It's a tough call. I can leave him in one piece, in all his glory, or I can make Val 70cm+ and try to 'fit him in' with the big boys... argh. Not to mention when I build his boyfriend eventually I'll need to figure out how short/tall to make him. Hybridizing one might mean hybridizing both. I am an absolute mess over this particular doll. I almost had a heart attack, by the way... first time ordering from Iplehouse. I went to look at my order, and I saw Patrick (3), not realizing the 3 just stood for the doll and the 2 other items I got. (clothes!) ...I thought I'd made an enormous commitment to this sculpt!

I really need to stop myself from buying Akando (and Theo who was never on my list cos I now have a character that would suit him perfectly *sigh*), so I'm looking at all the pics I have of the dolls at home so I'm not tempted. It's only working a little

KingOfChains: So you pulled the trigger already! I do think it's a shame these nYID sculpts haven't been more popular - they're just as well done as the larger ones. Hope it all works out the way you want. ^_^ I also think it's a bit funny that the order info is kind of random as to which item is used as the primary identifier, so it's like, yes, I ordered an $800 doll shirt. Sure.

Forever: Still a shame they didn't do the gold blushing for you, but I do love the coppery wig on her!

O_O wtf... seriously??? which wig is that, that lets is shine so copper??? omg I love this (and SB is a mainstay
color for me but never shows this metalic on any of mine... I wonder if it's because of the darker skin... that is amazing.

 

Wow, I would not have called that. In some of the other pics you linked to it looks even more coppery than in that one!

 

It's the IHW_M14 in saddle brown. I have it in a few colours, but saddle brown is my favourite.

I'm not sure what it is, but on Aino it shimmers in most pictures, but on the rest it does not show this metallic sheen nearly as much. You may be right about the skin tone having an effect.

I'm not sure why either, although I do have to be careful with the white balance on Aino's images as her hair can look positively yellow (I mean illuminous lol), so maybe a combo of that with her skin tone makes the colour shine brighter? (Does that make sense? It did in my head but... )

Originally, in her earlier images, I had her in a Sienna wig of the same style, but her images all came out very dark or she would look washed out against it. Although I liked it in real life, it just wasn't right for her. Are the early images what you mean? Cos they were even more coppery in tone than this

 

No, I meant some of the others in this particular photoshoot, as far as I could tell. Well regardless, it looks great on her!

Here's another image from the shoot. I used the graphic for Raffine as a reference to create the Aino graphic by hand to use in future images. I think it turned out well

I'm hoping to recreate and match up her images with the promo pics more in the future whe I have more time, but this shoot was testing the waters to see if I could do it well enough lol

When I ordered her, I asked if I could see pictures of other ebony Raffine's to get an idea of how she would turn out, thinking that others had also ordered her in ebony. They came back to me to say that they couldn't show me other Raffine's as I was the only one to order in ebony

Not Theo, no. I tried my Felix on the nYID body when I got my first, and thought it looked okay, though there was a bit of a gap. Justin on the SID really didn't work for me, however.

Oh, Theo is a great sculpt too. Well, I like almost all the discontinued heads. Not to have them, but I think they are pretty enougth to keep them for sale. I wish I could afford cherie too!

 

Hey does anyone here own the SID glamour bust? How big is it? From Iple's photos it looks big but not insane and it doesn't look too fake. Anyone have it? I'd love to hear your thoughts. I'm thinking of adding a Pamela to my group on the SID body and I'm unsure about bust. Small is too small for the character and my Grace (who will be her best friend) will have the large and I like my girls to be different. Thanks for your time and input!

 

So, after having a talk with my lovely husband, I'm going to be getting Luna!!! Just her head, mind you, but I'm so excited! I never thought I would have another doll so soon...looks like I'll be saving up for a body now...

But since everyone's talking about bodies, how does an EID women's head look on an SID women's body? I'm hoping to have that for my Luna someday.

 

I have two SID women with the glamour bust - their busts are indeed very full, but not unrealistically so, in my opinion. My favorite SID bust size is the large, but I agree - it's nice to have all different kinds represented.
I haven't found any real difficulty fitting Iple fashions across the three sizes, but of course they tend to look different on the glamour bust than they do on the small.

Doll Choice SID Rebecca in PG on the glam bust body - this outfit sort of "screams" for a nice big rack:

My WS Doll Choice Aurora has the SID body with glamour bewbs as well, but I can't seem to figure out how to post just a link from Flickr rather than embedding the photo (and on a discussion thread I know we are limited to one photo.)
