@Loganberry Yes my Bella is in real skin and on an HID body which she was produced on originally. I agree with the ladies here - some sculpts look better on various sized bodies. I am rather biased as I love the HID body and would likely only pick that one for Bella. I hesitated over Bella for a while and wondered if I would not like her so much in person but in fact I really like her. Some times her features looked very strong in photos but in person she is so beautiful and I love the realistic shape of her eyes. I must take more photos of her. She waited a while for these eyes as I wanted some with a more realistic sized iris.
Thanks to everyone for all the info on the different bodies, it was very helpful! And thanks you @LyanneNZ for answering the next question I had before I asked it . I just have one more question . The only other big SD I have is a SartoriaJ and I want any future SDs to look good next to her. Iplehouse hid have slightly larger head measurements but do you think the two would look in proportion together?
Here is an Iplehouse Marien (on a HID body) next to an SJ Teen Claire on the (59 Daphne body). Their heads look great together, I think. Fayne and Fiadh by luluna33, on Flickr
@luluna thank you so much that's very helpful, they do look good together. Also, Claire and Marien look amazing!!
If I am recalling the lore correctly, Jay from SartoriaJ is former Iplehouse, and judging by the SartoriaJ clothing, he made a lot of Iplehouse costumes. So while I don't have a SartoriaJ doll, I imagine they are pretty similarly sized. Raccoondoll is also an Iplehouse expat, and Raccoondoll 1/4 girls and Iplehouse FIDs are just about identical in size.
Just stopping in to say I bought my little warrior of love a new pair of eyes and a wig and he is cute
I have two SartoriaJ boys at 71cms they are tall, but look good with my bigger Iplehouse dolls. @nyaaain your boy looks great in pink.
@Robyn_in_WA Those uniforms are amazing!!! You are SO incredibly talented! Can't wait to see their wives as well!
And just because it's been so long since I've gotten one of my bigger dolls in front of the camera. Doria, painted by Lyn Raftis (who isn't painting anymore, and I miss her artistry so much). Revisiting Old Friends by wizgerg3, on Flickr
I've been cultivating hoya plants, and one particular species (lacunosa) especially appealed to me because they look so nice with the big dolls. HID Scarlet (and Granado Noah) are here enjoying their living decor. Hoya lacunosa x 5 by Yela Gatchalian-David, on Flickr
Lovely to see your Doria, she is stunning @JinCIncy As you know your new photos prompted me to take a new photo of one of my big dolls last weekend... @AntarelNefertili that's a lovely setting among those plants for your lovely dolls. Iplehouse Bibiane by LyanneNZ, on Flickr
@LyanneNZ Your Bibi is so pretty in pink! Lovely skirt and top! I'm glad I was able to help with some motivation.
Does anyone know if HID and EID clothes from Iplehouse will fit a doll with a 27cm bust without running loose?
Lovely Bella...it took me so long to add one to my girls but I'm so pleased I finally did... Iplehouse Bella by LyanneNZ, on Flickr
I took my SID Eva to the Central NJ doll meet yesterday. It was her first time wearing this Iplehouse nYID Cool White outfit. I had to squeeze the shorts up past her behind. I also had to take her head and arms off to get the top on. (My Eva has the large bust.) Overall, it worked out nicely! Eva also spent time with her daughter, my JID Kassia. This is just a preview because Kassia technically isn't born yet
Scarlet and Mari are the longest-running couple in their characters' timelines, so it's a shame I haven't taken much photos of them recently. Through Frosted Glass by Yela Gatchalian-David, on Flickr
My first big iplehouse girl. This is Doria on the EID body. Absolutely in love! She needs eyes that fit and I want a dark wig for her.
@Chameleon thanks! Yes I agree, she does suit being blonde . I've also bought a nyid Rexy. She's blank and I'm going to attempt the face up myself . I'd love to see some Rexy pics if anyone has her
I just bought an SID Jessica this evening. Her CoA said she's a special edition and she still has the faceup. She's an older gal, from 2010, but I couldn't pass up the chance to get one of my grails. I've been wanting an Iplehouse doll, but especially a Jessica since I discovered the brand over a decade ago so it's pretty exciting to finally get one. I'll post more pictures when she arrives, but for now her's a screenshot from her sales listing. Jessica I just purchased by Chris W, on Flickr
I have a Rexy head in NS...here she is on a nYID body. Her faceup is by SDink. Isla by luluna33, on Flickr
I have a request to anyone that has a girl SID on the general body - would you be able to measure how thick are the calves (in the thickest point). I think about ordering a SID girl and style her with over-the knee souldoll zenith boots that I own - but I can't close the back zipper on them both on my HID and EID dolls so I'm worried even if I get a SID size it might still be too tight fit... I tried asking Iplehouse and they responded saying they will write it, but it has been already a few weeks since then...
Thank you for checking so nSID would fit based on this as an option - I wonder if the general body has same calf measurements...
I received my first Iplehouse girl. I have been pining after Mari for a long time, and I'm elated to have one of my own. This is my new arrival, Solene she is in special real skin.
Just measured my older SID girls...calf is 11.5cm so yes they are a little larger. @Nikki'sNewObsession Congrats on your lovely Mari. I still don't have one! I need more space and more good stands for the big dolls Can't wait to see her painted.
@LyanneNZ fantastic, thank you! I think it will still work with this size on the original body with the boots then, just she will not be able to wear any tights or pants under haha @Nikki'sNewObsession congrats on getting Mari, she is looking great, even before being painted
Thank you! I can't wait either..lol Thank you. Yes she's a gorgeous sculpt. I've taken so many pictures of her, even without her face up yet.
I took my SID Eva to the Port Jervis, NY doll meet yesterday. This is the first full family photo I took of her and her family. I'm so happy for my Eva
Just sharing an older photo. My Elle is usually a redhead but she tried brunette this time... Elle by LyanneNZ, on Flickr
Going through a not-so-good patch lately, so I'm focusing on my preexisting dolls instead of buying new ones. Good ol' Scarlet still rocks it, though! She Smolders by Yela Gatchalian-David, on Flickr
@AntarelNefertili - Your Scarlet is wonderful! I'll share your love for Scarlet (an under-rated sculpt) with also sharing mine. \ Imelda. Imelda Collins by luluna33, on Flickr

@Robyn_in_WA Their fits especially the details look incredible! You have a lot of skill, great job! I also love the fitting backdrop
@Robyn_in_WA , even though i'm mostly read-only for ages, i still can't help but feel the need to admit how admirably detailed your dolls looks in this outfits. It suits them greatly!
Thanks @Kaname Kimura !! It’s been a fun ‘job’ getting the group dressed! Thanks so much @sageyufi !!! It’s taken a while to do all the research, find the fabrics and get them all made! Just one dressy gown to go now! Thanks lots @tenko Lia !! I loved the books and the movie and making a group of my dolls to represent them has been a lot of fun (and work!). Thanks!
@Robyn_in_WA You know how insanely talented I think you are. The uniforms are incredible, and your group looks wonderful!
Just wanted to drop in and share a picture of my chonky old cutie pie Evan, since he's one of those older sculpts that's rarely seen anymore: link He got The Works™ this year: new faceup, new wig, new eyes, new elastic, new hot glue sueding, knee mods (watch pins to hold together the old two-piece joints), and I made him some t-shirts!
He's cute - I love that he got some upgrades this year. Our "old" dolls never really get old do they - they can always be given some new touches and made new again
@Quirked - I'd forgotten how adorable that sculpt is. It's nice to see one still around. He's looking great!
@Quirked He's got that look of innocence and pure wonder, so cute! Love the shirt you made for him too. You've made what is essentially a basic into something so luxurious and clean!
@LyanneNZ : Thank you! And agreed, they never really do get old -- after giving him an overhaul, it was like having a new doll! @Sianserais : Thank you! I love the older Iplehouse sculpts so much. I have an Akando as well, but he's currently in pieces (needs a repair). @sageyufi : Thank you! His innocent look is what I love so much about him. It's such a contrast to the Super Hero body that he's on, lol. I keep thinking "sometimes Baby Girl is a grown man." And t-shirts are my favorite thing to make for my dolls. New doll? They get a t-shirt, unless t-shirts aren't their thing (i.e. fantasy character). This particular one I have on him is one I built up to making because I only had a small amount of fabric to work with, and he ended up with around 5 or so other t-shirts while I was building up the courage to cut into it.
@Quirked - Definitely love Akando too. Mine was my first Iplehouse doll, and he's still got pride of place in the center of my display. When you get yours back together, I hope you'll share pics!
