Iplehouse Discussion (YID, nYID, SID, EID, HID) Part 12

    1. :hug:Hi everyone!! So many beautiful faces in this thread!:chibi
I’ve been so busy but I finally got around to finishing up my grey HID Dylan, I named him Valentine after an OC of mine! :)Slowly but surely my dolls are coming along...still waiting for their stands so I can take some real photos! ;)(Does anyone have any recommendations for HID sizes?)

    2. Wow, he's a beauty!!! I just got my secondhand HID Lahela today, and I'm in love with her. Dark Brown is officially one of the prettiest colours I have. I've missed having a HID girl in the house.

    3. I always thought that the HID could fit EID clothes, but then I saw that line up recently and realized there is no way the boys could share their clothes! Suggestions? Ugh! I think you will have to grab anything you like at Iplehouse, then next, Alice's collections, ie: acbjd.com has a number of outfits which can be customized, so all you have to do is send in the measurements. This is kind of hit or miss. I did this for one of my boys, and the shirt is skin tight, not what it should have been. But it looks good, so...? Next time, I might give them dimensions with a bit of ease :)

    4. @IngieBee
I am doing a series of HID male patterns when I can. So far I have a shirt and board shorts done, basically casual/beachwear. Email me and we can get started getting the patterns (free) in your hands.

    5. Oh, I was responding to @Chameleon who has an HID, I don't have one, but it's so cool you're making some patterns! I would very much like to get an HID boy some day, but it won't happen for some time :P

    6. I don’t have a hid man, but I know hid women fit a great deal of eid clothes, and less fitted SID!

    7. Oops, Sorry @Chameleon , it was actually @Jeong132 I was posting for, as they asked (Does anyone have any recommendations for HID sizes?) and I took that to mean for clothes :D I just cause confusion :doh

    8. :DOh my gosh no you are fine lol thank you for the tips! :chibiI meant doll stands but I should’ve wrote that in my original post so that was my fault!! Although honestly I had NO idea Alice Collections allow custom sizes! What a huge help this will be for me because I was trying to shop for some clothes today and I realized finding clothes for HIDs is VERY difficult hehe! :XD:

    9. Awesome, @Jeong132 , I'm glad to spread the word. Gosh, I've never put my bjds on a stand before, and I'm not sure what kind of stand would really hold them properly. I have some 30+ inch porcelain dolls on stands but they're not as heavy but more importantly, they're not as flexible. I make mine stand on their own for pictures and sit them down on shelves as their "home". I suppose I'm living dangerously when I stand them up for a picture, but I dunno, I've been lucky so far!

    10. Playing with "fist" hands...I forgot to order extra hand parts when I ordered Elle so have ordered some extras now. I need to make more use of the ones I have too! Here, Aaliyah makes use of the closed hands...

    12. My Elle got a new outfit...the blouse is a drapey fabric with lantern sleeves teamed with a floral pencil skirt...

    13. @LyanneNZ so lovely! Everyone seems to be styling their Elle with red hair. I wonder if I will? She has so much attitude! Where did you find her pink pumps? In fact, what shoes fit this doll besides Iplehouse shoes?

    14. Just posting here to say I received my wig order. The same style that @Jeong132 has posted above. I got the black one and it is amazingly constructed. It does have the front hair with stiffening stuff in it to hold it's position, but it looks so awesome, I'm not messing with it :) Here is my Grace wearing it, though I think iit will belong to my Rainman sculpt. For the tan, the lighter netting is a little more visible. It would have been better with better lighting not coming from above, but oh well :D

@Frillseeker I have to use all the self control I have to keep myself from styling ALL my dolls as redheads, LOL

    15. That wig is awesome! I love how the hairline fits...that's a big leap ahead from the wigs I have been used to in doll scale. Lace front wigs for dolls...love this!

@Frillseeker those pink shoes came from Sherry (Paul Zhangby) on Ebay a few years ago now. Hopefully she will offer some more. They are only a simple style but they are very nice. I have them in a few colours. I did find some shoes the other day on Ebay that say they will fit Iplehouse so will report back when they arrive. I would LOVE it if all the gorgeous SD16 sized shoes would fit my Iple-girls.

    16. @LyanneNZ , thanks. I just wish there were more color choices in this style, not just black and almost white! It's an awesome wig, I'd get more! Well, if/when I have extra cash, LOL

    17. Thank you Olga, I got it because Jeong132 verified that it was indeed a good wig :)

      • x 2
    18. Waaah she’s beautiful!!! The wig looks fabulous on her omg!!! :D

    19. I wish I could take better pictures, and after the picture was taken, I realized I would have liked her to wear it lower on the forehead, LOL. But it is an awesome wig. one thing to note, in case you're thinking of getting one, is that it has the front hairs "jelled" up so it won't move. I'm sure you can wash it out, but I wouldn't because it works with the thicker scalp bit in the part to camouflage any height difference, and shows off the lacing really well. This wig shouldn't be restyled beyond a trim to make it shorter if so desired in my opinion :) I really hope they come up with more styles!!! And colors!

    24. @collectionkate She is beautiful! Which sculpt is she? I can’t recognise it.

    25. Since this thread is choc full of very elegantly attired ladies, I hardly dare ask this...

but since it looks like a HID Elle is very unexpectedly coming to live with us in due time (a dream coming true <3), I wonder if you knowledgeable collectors know of any pants that would fit the HID women? I have read that they can wear a lot of EID clothes, but is this true of pants as well? The bigger Iple girls seem to prefer skirts anyway, there are hardly any pants their size I can find. Any help would be much appreciated!^^

    26. @Mandagore,
I am getting ready to draft a pant pattern for the HID woman which I will gladly share with you. I am traveling until mid December (I know, it’s ages!) but just make a note. Send me a conversation if you are interested. The hips on an EID are wider, and her legs are shorter. Altogether the HID body dictates its own pattern set.

I’m getting an HID Elle, too, btw. She’s a beauty.

But my patterns fit well! Cheers!

      • x 1
    27. Also, @Mandagore , in case you can't sew, acbjd.com does offer some of their clothing custom made, you just have to send them her measurements. But make sure you give them everything they need, I forgot arm circumference and my shirt turned out too small in the arms.

      • x 1
    28. @Frillseeker This is very generous of you. Should I have to resort to sewing my own pants, I'll be glad of this. I'll make a note for December then. (Sewing projects just keep piling up and life just doesn't like to give me enough sewing time, sigh^^)

@IngieBee That's actually a good idea too!^^ But it means I have to wait until she's in my hands, Iple's official measurements are not always that exact and detailed. - Oh, I know, I once had AC make me custom sized pants for a Dream Realm guy and although I gave them everything they wanted, there was no way he could get inside them. Complete failure, sadly.

Also, even if you know of no ladies pants for HID girls, has someone maybe tried some boy pants on them and can supply some insight? That would be just awesome.

    29. Well, one of my HIDW is currently wearing a pair of SIDM pants, but they're from one of those early outfits where the pants were actually a little too tight in the waist on the guys, and her boots hide the fact that it's just a touch short on her. When I tried a later pair of SIDM jeans on my Elle, the waist was definitely a little loose, and that particular style was rather wide on her lower legs. (Sorry, I don't have a better photo of that.)
And this probably won't help much, but I've tried two pair of elastic-waist pants in Popo68 Boy size from Hua-Shi-Yun on my other girl, and they fit well other than being a bit long and the elastic being a little more bunched-up/thick at the waist than it should be. (It did take effort to get them over her hips, but not to the point of damaging the seams.) Unfortunately, it looks like she's not offering those styles this time around...

    30. HID girls are so close and yet so far from the EID girls when it comes to fit. I am finding some things work and others don't from my EID wardrobe.

I also noticed when drafting a shirt pattern that she needed more room around her arms. I'm working my way through creating some new things for my girls but haven't got to pants yet either.

While I'm here...Elle in red and black :)

    31. @Sianserais Thanks a lot for the info and the link, that makes sense. I must look out for those pants then, and just keep trying different things...^^

Ooh, @LyanneNZ Elle eyecandy! Wow. This really sounds quite complicated about the EID and HID sizes, but of course it makes sense too, considering the different body shapes. While I can sew for my own purposes, I cannot draft patterns, so I will wait patiently for a generous soul to maybe share a pants pattern.

What a pity not even Iplehouse have a lot to offer as far as HIDW outfits are concerned.

Hmmm, since there are quite some very nice Elle HIDW around here, is somebody up for some more Elle spam? You nearly make me regret planning a character for my girl that is not so much leaning towards the type of beautiful dresses and costumes your girls are wearing...^^

    32. @luluna What a symphony of colour! Beautiful. Do I spy a small breast HIDW body there? (Because that's what I should be getting^^)

    33. @Mandagore - Yes...she is the small bust...and I LOVE the small bust on the HID ladies! What resin did you order her in?
Above mine is in GRS...but I have others...:kitty1

Here's another Elle in GPG for example...

    35. @luluna Oh the Elle goodness!<3 Both your girls' skin colours look lovely. Well, I did not order Elle myself, since she is intended to be my combined birthday/ christmas family gift, but I wished for a normal skin girl as I was planning a pale Irish character. A bit boring for some, perhaps^^ Are you using 10mm eyes or even smaller? I love Elle's eyes as well.

    36. I think the best eyes are size 8 with small iris. There are also size 8 ovals which give a smaller iris too. I have a soft spot for redheads, so yah, irish and pale, absolutely love :)

Don't listen to me, I don't even know what thread I'm in! I'm thinking I'm in the FID thread again, sorry!!

Yah, size 12 is what I have in Grace with small iris :thumbup

    37. @IngieBee - Thank you! I have an Elle obsession.

@Mandagore - Oh I actually have two NS Elles...:XD: Like I said above...I'm a bit over the moon with Elles.

I believe I'm using 12mm eyes with small irises...
For a totally different look...here is one of my NS Elles...(her faceup isn't exactly finished...yet.)

Here is some more Elle spam...this time as a blond :)

@hannaliten Congrats on your Mari shipping! Hope you will share her pics here!

    41. @luluna Albhe is lovely like a spring morning, and so different! If I hadn't known she is an Elle too... She looks great in a lot of styles, obviously, but I'm always stunned to see how good Elle looks with a more natural styling.
      Thanks for the eye info!
I like to do my own face ups. I accept that they obviously will not look as perfect as when a pro does them, but I enjoy the process of getting to know the sculpt and realising my own ideas, you know^^

@LyanneNZ Do you have a license for that dangerously gorgeous looking girl?^^ That's the former red head in the killer red/black combo, right?

@IngieBee thanks for the eye info - I gather they need as much white of the eye as 12mm eyes have, but a smaller iris, then. I wonder if Masterpiece 11mm will fit, because they have exactly that combination...

@hannaliten How exciting! So you ordered early during the event? I think my Elle was too.

    43. Wow, I love how Amazonian she looks in that grouping! And how they all are realistically different! Beautiful. @Chameleon

@Mandagore I really couldn't say, I ended up with glass eyes I special ordered with small iris, but I'd really like to get some resin ones some day :thumbup

    44. Thanks!! She ended up being a lot taller than the others in that one. I'm in love with Iple Dark Brown too

    45. I love seeing all the beautiful girls here - those Elles are fantastic, so very different. I am starting to get enamored with the mold!

My Lahela got a new wig - which I am not entirely happy about. I chose a wig which I thought would be perfect for her. After 8 months waiting (and having to ask repeatedly) the seller told me they couldn´t find the material for wig I wanted - nice to notice this after letting the customer wait for 8 months. So he offered me this here as alternative, which I agreed to cause I really was tired of waiting. It´s nice, even similar, but it isn´t the look I went for in the first place. And it still annoys me a great deal. Anyway, here she is:

    46. @Ashemanu Your Lahela is beautiful, I’m sorry you have had such trouble with her wig.
If I may ask, who was the seller of the wig?
