I thought some people might like to see what YID Lucia looks like on the Model SIDW body. Personally, I think it's a good match! This is my first on the new body, so I included some poses to see what she could do. Overall, very similar to the Model SIDM. Edit: Sorry, forgot to state for the record - Lucia is in RS and Elle in the new/old LB! Showing off her hand-blushing. The artist included a bit of shimmer on her lower eyelids, which for some reason shows up as bright lines in these photos. It's much more subtle in person. Like the male version, she can't quite hold this pose without something at her back. It was close, though. Her torso's just a bit too heavy. Here she's sitting on her own, though! This is the only one where she wasn't really stable, but she still managed to hold it without falling for at least a couple minutes while I (carefully) moved the lighting and took pics. Again, not an amazing poser, but not bad. The Cinderella set. Don't you hate when you take a lot of photos, and don't realize until you go to sort them that something was out of place? I can't believe I didn't see the choker got bumped somehow. I've had this dress so long I forget what the name of it was. No one's actually worn it until now.
And now for a few of Elle. Obviously the 12mm eyes she shipped with are a bit large for the sculpt. Due to the lack of clothing for the HID ladies, I tried a few SIDM items on her for the fun of it. The top shirt doesn't actually fit, but the undershirt is stretchy enough it works fine. The jeans aren't bad, but a little loose at the waist, and would definitely be classed as wide-leg. ...and suddenly it's a Major Kusanagi cosplay? If I didn't have other plans for her, I'd be tempted. So after digging through all my various boxes of clothing looking for options and having all of them turn out to be too small, somehow she ended up claiming this SIDW blouse. Admittedly, it was designed to be loose and I'm ignoring the button on the back that was supposed to tighten up the neck, but still, it's pretty much a perfect fit. Go figure. Thanks for looking!
Congratulations! Thank you for showing how amazing the new SID body is at posing, its my favorite doll body that has looks and function. Im curious to know which body you think is a great poser? Im limited with my dolls but I always thought the SID model was the best out of the ones I handled lol I used glue sueding for some parts to hold better like the mobility joint edges, ankles, the thigh top? hip? im not sure the word, shoulder and the place between the stomach and bust. Its very good and made a difference for me Lucia is very nice looking and I think in real skin she looks amazing!!!!!!!!!! I like her best with dark hair Which one is she keeping as default? That blue dress is the sleeping beauty set, so lucky to have it! Your Elle looks amazing in the purple wig, it looks very natural on her and is eye catching. Is she the new LB? She looks very cool and interesting. I keep scrolling back to look at that picture, she looks very bad I think she would look soooooo cool with pistols I am interested to see what you name them and their stories
Thanks for the great pictures of the poses. Wonderful illustrations of what the new model body can do. I love your Elle by the way. She is one that I want in lt brown and I'm very pleased to see how great she looks in that color.
@GreenTeaSlug: Sorry for not responding sooner! Well, I've owned several dolls from other companies that were technically better at holding poses right out of the box, mostly because the resin had a rougher texture and the joints were so tight-fitting that sometimes you could hardly get them to move. The knees and elbows also tended to be pretty ugly and unnatural-looking when bent in my opinion. I ended up selling all of those for various reasons. Plus, my Dollshe Arsene is better, but since that body comes with silicone inserts in the joints, that's not a fair comparison. Mostly, I was just acknowledging that if people expect an SID to pose like a minifee, they're still going to be disappointed. But personally, I'd be perfectly happy if Iplehouse would upgrade their older lines to have these-style joints! I've been intending to get around to sueding and/or wiring a bunch more of my dolls for a long while now, but I keep getting distracted by other things. I think Lucia looks great in all the wigs, but actually, I don't know which she's going to keep yet! She's a rare exception in that I didn't buy her with a specific character in mind. She's going to be joining my Steampunk group. Yes, Elle is the new/old LB, and I agree that the purple looks great against her skin! Which makes me wish I could keep it, but she's actually taking the place of my Scarlett as the shell for Delanai, and purple isn't a natural color for her race. @Bren: I think she looks amazing in the LB, personally! Go for it!
Congratulations on the new arrivals! Also, thanks for showing the new SID body! It seems really nice but I'm not a huge fan of how the knees look. The special real skin color has really grown on me lately and it looks great in your pictures!
Congrats on both of them! Your Elle should keep that boyish look, she's gorgeous! (Reminds me of Olivia from Law & Order: SVU!!)
Oh dang they look great! The posing on the new SID body actually warms me up to the style of the sculpting now. How's the HID woman posing in comparison to the SID updated body? Can she do anything close to how your Lucia poses? The pictures you posted honestly'er amazing I've never seen Iplehouse dolls pose that well without some assistance of some sort, I love it!! o3o
Oh wow, I'm sorry I never saw this response until now! Just in case it's still useful information, I'd say the HIDW body is just about as good. The box opening for my Bella is still up here.
Wow! This was a full on fashion photo shoot! Congrats on the arrivals of these stunning beauties as well as your insight on the comparison between the head size and bodies.
