Iplehouse Discussion ( YID, nYID, SID, EID, HID ) Part 11

It was an Iplehouse EID that I first saw at an Elfdoll party in Los Angeles so many years ago that made me fall in love with Iplehouse. I have yet to get one though! I got the JIDs as at the time I only collected tinies, LOL.

I really hope Doll Choice is still a thing because I really want Taregan when I can afford it. I currently have a doll on 6 month layaway, and if I can ever complete that, I might see if I can save the same amount another 8 months and get him next year.

 

I love Iplehouse dolls. They are my favorites.
I find their face scupts to be beautiful and different.

My SID Lucia shipped today! I wasn’t expecting her to ship yet so I’m super excited.

 

I think the HID male may be too big, and I understand there are hardly any clothes. Opinions?

 

Here is my new Asa. I am still working on Her flamenco dress. I just love Iplehouse dolls, and should get my new HID Raffine this month.

I would put it down to taste. For me it's one of my favorites, but then some people may find him to big. If EID is too big for you then HID would not be to your taste. And yes, finding clothes for them is almost impossible if you don't sew.

Wow @Bren, that picture really shows how buff the HIDs are. Are they also taller than EIDs?

Your HID Baron looks so spectacular. I do sew, so could have outfits. It’s good to find someone who has one. I may start looking for one when I am eligible for the marketplace.

@IngieBee, Yes, the HID’s are signicantly bigger than the EID males. Iplehouse has a nice video showing him next to an Eid. Not sure how to link it without hotlinking, but you can find it on YouTube.

 

I’m still waiting for my HID Bella (and others!) but I was wondering...do Iplehouse dolls have a ball joint at the ankle or more of a swivel joint?

Should I get heeled feet; is that really needed? I don’t particularly plan to give her heels but I was thinking about it as an option, so wasn't sure if the traditional feet would still work with any type of shoe!

If you have ordered from the company or from a person who will send you a complete original box, heel feet are included. The ankle joint is a bit awkward, definitely not a ball joint. The feet clasp and move on the ankle.

HID and newSID girls actually have different ankles than The Eid/Sid/Yid ankles, so your girl will have more of a ball joint, and should come with heel feet for sure if she’s new!

thank you two so much!! I ordered direct from Iplehouse!! I will for sure post pics of my HIDs when they come I can’t wait!!! Now, they are Doll Choice though; I couldn’t find anything on if they came with heeled feet or not as well but I’m so happy they have more of a ball joint foot! thanks for the info!

 

No problem!! I might actually have a HID coming too, soonish, but I’ve had one in the past, and she was gorgeous. Congrats on your girl!

 

Thank you. If you rather do smaller than a HID, Iple does have Baron as FID. He's very nice, as well with that body sized down.

@Bren - How wonderful to see a Taregan and Lahela in their default outfits! (If they indeed are the defaults. You never see them...so I'm a bit fuzzy but they look like it to me.) And your EIDs and HID really is amazing to see the different LB resins! Is your HID what is now considered Dark LB?

I noticed Iplehouse sells geta feet. Where can we get sandals for the SID-HID women?

 

Hi. Does Iplehouse still offer Doll Choice? If they do would it be possible to order Claude that way?

 

They do offer choice dolls, just not all the time. You can check the website, or maybe they will alert you if you contact them with your wishes.

 

Usually Doll Choice is open during the first 15 days of each month, unless they are having an event.

Taregan is actually wearing a Custom made outfit by Robyn to look like his original, I added the black beads and blue feathers, ( can you believe I got Crafty? lol) but Lahela is wearing the LE Iplehouse one but only the clothes. I have no assessories for her, unfortunately. I need to search around and find something suitable.

That HID Body that Luo is using is actually the Glow Light brown which they do not make anymore.

That's a tough one since Iple's feet are bigger, broader than the usual SD ones. So finding shoes for them can be a pain if you don't get them from Iple. I've only seen a flip flops except for when they had the LE which came with the shoes for those feet in the set.

@Bren Thanks! She is RS. My camera is not really good and she was sitting just next to the window. So, she got a bit overexposed with light there!

Here is another picture where you see more clearly her skin colour: with Lahela, also RS (but older, from 2011; Doria is from 2019), and Stella in PG (from 2013).

This is an elven cloak for a grail doll, not sure which. It is currently cut for an HID male, but I may rescale it for a EID. Those HID boys are huge! Thank you everyone for all your kind comments.

@Bren - I was afraid that might be true with the geta feet. Iplehouse doesn't offer the sandals. All I want now are ballerina feet en point and the shoes to go with them. I am going to beg Iplehouse. Maybe they will listen. Glad to know the choice doll dates, I hadn't figured that out. Hope to get an SID Harace.

Pointe feet for them would be too awesome I've thought about modding spare heel feet that I never use, but actual pointe feet directly from Iple? Sign me right up!

We have to bomb them. If enough people request, maybe, just maybe. Will work on this, and thanks for the tip, the point shoes are correct. Can you shape them under the heel feet like a dancer would do?

@Bren I don't think he had much say in the matter really. Moment he arrived she had her eyes on him (I mean, he is a snack. I see where she's coming from.)

@Frillseeker I haven't tried. They're very sturdy - well, they're meant to be keychains, so they'd need to be able to take a beating, just like the real thing. Then again, I need tools to shape mine so I guess one would need at least a pair of pliers to get these to bend in the right place. They appear to be made like the real thing so I'm pretty sure they can be shaped a bit.

 

A snack? like a real snack or someone to snack on. LOL

Doesn't Volks sell styling items? I'm sure they used to sell hair wax, at least that's where I got some.

I guess I havent been checking the iplehouse website lately, because I thought they would be concentrating on their FID's.. looks like theres a new cyborg lady, with an option of buying an extra head in human / or cyborg with the full doll

What do you all think of her?

Personally, I like the subtle cyborg vibes, but I love the cyborg Bianca a lot more because she looked completely robotic. This one to me, looks like she's in mid transformation, or perhaps she's glitching.

The face, I really love the cyborg one, the open mouth is done delicately. I do not personally like the fullset, it does nothing for me? but I do love the doll in the blank photos because I see the potential in her (if Im not too lazy.....!!!). I might actually get her blank and paint the arm to be fully robotic like the Caleb one. Maybe make her parts in gold to look like some kind of treasure cyborg. I do think if they continued the cyborg parts and grooves on to the headcap and also on the hands, it would have looked really cool too.

I am so happy to see IRL photos of him, his sculpt shows so much better here and the faceup you chose for him really shows the beauty of the sculpt! Makes waiting for mine a little harder seeing how awesome yours is XD The eye makeup you chose really made a difference.

About hair wax, I really like the one by Azone too! But yes, for me, Volks water wax is probably the best Ive used that gave good easy styling without making the wig look/feel crunchy. Rub a little on your hands and then finger style it, leave it to dry. Its really nice and easy to control, and a small container lasts a long time (I have one for 2 years, and theres still plenty leftover, a little is all you need). I wouldnt get the ones made for humans, I would worry too much about added oils that are good for human hair, but terrible to get on resin/dolls.

 

Ada is definitely not for me, but she's very intriguing! Her human face reminds me a little of one of the CREAA dolls in feel for some reason. Hope we'll see some around here!

Everyone's dolls are so gorgeous.

The nearby fires finally got under control and the smoke and ash had cleared up enough yesterday to take some pictures finally, there's a post in the gallery but have a picture of my Yur:



She's in dark brown resin on the new SID body(small bust). The dark brown is definitely lighter than it has been, my phone washes her out but she's not as dark as some of the older dark browns in person either. Still, it's a lovely color and I love it on her. I need to get her new eyes that aren't the acrylics she came with.
