@Maechen Her eyes are my favorite part too Its smiling? I dont know the word for it, but when somebody is smiling or happy, their eyes take that shape. Its very pleasant to look at

I hope you will be sharing pictures when he arrives to you, that skintone and faceup will look very nice with red hair I think, the eyebrow shade works nicely

I love her gentle and kind expression so Im very curious to see how, and if they, roughen her up as a warrior? Faceup can really change her characteristics. I feel she could look very sly and sinister with pointed eyebrows. Alyssa's preview looked very shy and sweet and when they debuted her she looked like a siren
I have a feeling she will be wearing a catsuit, but I hope to be surprised with something completely different

 

@GreenTeaSlug Yes, she does seem to have an "eye smile" of sorts! She definitely looks like a versatile sculpt.

 

I don't think there's a specific word for it, but "smiling eyes" is definitely a known phrase. ^_^
I know, and I have some dental expenses coming up too, so I may put her off if I don't need the outfit. Funny, I was thinking exactly the same thing about the likelihood of it being a catsuit/bodysuit. I'd definitely be more interested if she gets something more... functional for a fighter than that.
I wonder if they're waiting for the first of the month to release her.

Well, its not a cat suit.....

Im not sure what I feel about it ..... lol canuck @Lady Tiku .... I expected weapons but when I think weapons, a tool box kit and a hockey stick isnt what Imagine. I do like the belt bags a lot, those look pretty neat and well done, and think it would have been cool if she actually came with those tools in the bag (I dont think its included based on the outfit pictures at the bottom). The hockey stick is nice, but I wouldnt classify it as a weapon. I do like the bits and pieces, but Im not sure if I like them all together like that.

It has that Suicide Squad feel to the fullset? I was really hoping for something more Kill Bill assasin or if they want to go really wild, something similar to the Planet Terror look with the machine gun leg optional part lol

The doll herself is very beautiful with the red long hair. I can imagine her with vivid teal eyes and a cream dress or lingerie like a hollywood 50's siren. I think it would have been cool if they offered to pierce her ears and place earrings on it like the promo picture, its very cool to me

Ill come back to it in a few days, maybe my expectations were too different so Im a bit surprised with the fullset. The doll herself is really beautiful though! Might end up getting her as an HID woman in the future

 

as far as being a fighter... maybe in zombie wasteland Canada? hockey stick totally suits then... as for the piercings... all a person would have to do is as to have any holes drilled the same and then makeing your own jewelry should be doable

I think the sculpt is a total win though... but yeah I'd have to style her differently for sure lol

 

No, definitely not what I was expecting either. I give them credit for doing something outside their usual styles, though!
Funny thing is, I could almost use that outfit (except for the bikini top) for another character... just not in EID size.
Still loving the sculpt, regardless. I'm tempted to get her anyway with just the mask.

 

Weird look for an engineer but ok. I like the blond wig with the freckled face up.

 

I won't be getting Camilla, but I wonder what she would look like with a soft or gentle face-up! I do like her sculpt.

I put together a new outfit for Mephilia. I think she's going shopping with her new handbag! (For shoes, maybe? Her shoes are the last thing I'm waiting on. ) I decided I like her best in light pink because it goes so well with the white resin. I recently got inspired by my perfume collection to base my female dolls on flowers. I want Mephilia to be like a pink rose.

Hello all! While waiting for my Dollshe dolls, I weakened and bought my first EID Evan secondhand from 2008. He will ship this week so I am joining the thread to learn more. He will be my first large boy (I have 3 FID boys and one FID girl) and I was wondering what differences I can expect for an older doll. No CoA in 2008, for instance.

I will probably restring him which I've never done. Are there good tutorials you'd recommend? I'm nervous!

 

Back then, the peanuts in their elbows and knees were a bit tricky. It was a great idea, but slipped out of position. Someone made an amazing mod with watch strap connectors... I bought some of those pins for my JIDs at the time but never attempted ig. I really should find them and do it! Other than that, use as large a chord as fits through the neck and they are string "normally" so most tutorials on You Tube should work ,

Poor Zera is living with a damaged chin. She probably thinks I do not love her, letting her live with it. However, it is exactly the opposite. I love her so much and I am so used to this look for her that I am reluctant to send her off for a fresh face-up. If I send her off I think part of me would want to try something new, but I am pretty sure most of me would want her to remain the same, maybe even her orangey lipstick.
I received her in 2014 and her face-up has held up for a long time, with all the re-dressings and adventures she has been through.
Anybody else find it hard to let some dolls go for new face-ups. For my collection I have only felt this way about one other doll, not wanting to ever change her.

I do have at least one doll, a cp/Luts Lishe whom I fell in love with early on in the hobby and was able to adopt a couple of years ago. She was painted by Ddink. I hope she stays safe forever!

Yes @LaurieESW I know exactly what you mean about letting face ups go. I had to do that several times with the Lahela in my profile pic. I'm still getting used to her latest face up. I have had her for many years now. I have a few dolls that could do with new face ups - I am not skilled at repairing them so damage usually means a whole new fresh start. Your Zera is lovely...hope you find a good solution...maybe someone could repair her makeup?

Those pictures of Lahela and all her looks makes me want to get a dozen heads for each of my dolls! Their look is so different each time (yet still Lahela). Like she's dressed for different events. Your dolls are always so amazing, @LyanneNZ

 

Hi! I have a nYID that has trouble holding poses. I've sueded her and tightened her string up a bit. How to you wire them? What type of wire do you use? That would help me do more with her

Just on the face up damage...years ago Cindy Heaton of Bella Repaints was able to work her magic on an Elfdoll June of mine when I messed up the makeup on her lips (and it was embarrassingly bad!) She painted her up without having to touch the eye makeup and you could never tell afterwards. I am not sure if Cindy is still painting but I'm sure there are some who could do this.

@Demonique - yes...sorry to say they did. Think it was about 3 years ago? But not absolutely certain. Somebody will be able to tell us I'm sure.

I decide to buy a Aaliyah with light brown color. Is there anyone interested in Aaliyah too? I want to dress her like the woman soldier in the movie Black Panther.

If anyone has the time, could anyone confirm getting the same error or is it just me?
Ive been refreshing, cleared my cache, different desktop browsers and used incognito mode and still have the same error when looking through doll choice (Im on nYID girl, but I checked others and its the same)

Douglas and Kamau, to me are my favorite of all the discontinued dolls! I loved Renewal Kamau a lot, but Douglas is magical too. I always loved that he looked like he could be a sibling to Doria, perhaps her male twin (in my storyline atleast lol!)

@Happy moon moon Aaliyah is one of the most popular sculpts, and you can never go wrong with her! Will you be getting her on the default EID body, or the HID or something else? I think HID would look very nice specially since she's got nice muscle definition and Ive seen Aaliyah's who look really nice on that body

 

@GreenTeaSlug Iplehouse is serving a certificate for sujaeshop.com, which of course is not valid for iplehouse.com. That's why you're getting the error.

 

@GreenTeaSlug - I got that same warning when I attempted to access Iple's Custom Doll section (for EID Woman) - and when I saw that, I backed out very, very quickly.

Thank you so much for your lovely comments on Luis! I love the Douglas sculpt and was very lucky to obtain him from a friend. He was lots of fun to paint, and is the perfect avatar for my character.

Like you, I also admire Kamau, another wonderful sculpt.

@scripple - So the error warning is due to Iple hosting that certificate? I'm worried they'd been hacked.

 

@GreenTeaSlug yes. I got that last night trying to get to iplehouse site and immediately disconnected, I got the warning on two different browsers.

I don't know what that means.

 

I don't know why they're hosting the wrong certificate. Most likely it is because they or there hosting provider have simply misconfigured their server, but it could also be a hack. Someone should probably email iplehouse about it so they can get it fixed either way.

 

I'm not sure if you've also noticed, but in addition to the pictures that have been either moved or deleted, some of the pictures look like they have been corrupted. (Louis - Special Edition's thumbnail for example)
The only time I saw something like this was right before one of my external hard drive crashed and kicked the bucket.
