Iplehouse B.I.D. Baby discussion part 8

Well, I'm trying to pay off my final layaway amount to Iplehouse as I've just learned there may be a postal strike on July 2, but my PayPal only has them as Iple so won't let me pay them. Does anyone have their full PP address?

 

oh no, not another strike! as if they aren't already overpaid, and underworked as it is. i'd have a lot more empathy for them if the service that most of them provide wasn't so darn crappy!

their paypal account is [email protected]., but they also note that they only use that for paypal and don't receive messages. so make sure you let them know on their q&a board that you paid it off!

 

Thanks auntbear! I've never used their board, so that'll cause a delay I'm sure. Darn!

How long does it take for parcels from them to Canada?

 

ems is usually pretty fast. i haven't ordered from iplehouse recently, but i just got a parcel from luts in korea this month and it took less than a week from the time they shipped it out! it skipped right through customs too, so if iplehouse also marks down their packages you might get lucky

 

I just finished my layaway payments to Iplehouse on June 16. They shipped the next day and Canada Post is expecting delivery today, June 22...so about 4 business days? It only spent a couple hours in customs according to the tracking.

Hopefully your package makes it in time.

I am looking forward to seeing all of the new Iplehouse doll arrivals. It has been great to see the sculpts being discontinued in owner photos.

My Naias is scheduled to arrive tomorrow after her new face up by Meenist. Serca (RS Elfinhugs) has been busy all day planning a welcome home party for Naias.

Your idea for a tea party is great! My BID girls will host a tea party for the return of their sister Naias to welcome her back home.

 

My Aki is in the mail from Iplehouse plus a lovely Erzulie that I couldn't resist! I have a lovely wig for Aki but need to make one for Erzulie. Weed or make a wig, hmmmm!!!

 

being like you with an acreage garden, i'd definitely say spot weed with roundup, then you will have a week to make the wig while you wait for the roots to die!

 

Yes, time for the roundup again! I've crouched for hours some years, just brushing roundup on the weeds.

I've hardly had time for all my little kiddles since May! And no knitting or crocheting either.

 

i know the feeling. i'm trying to eradicate grass in my garden for several years now. it takes up way to much time that i would rather be playing with my dolls/making stuff for them. i think i might finally be getting ahead this year

ooh i somehow missed that one too. i love naias but she is even prettier in tan. is that realskin or lb?

 

Thank you so much - some of my big Iples were playing pirate at the time and Naias wanted in on the action. She didn't have any pirate gear, so she decided it would be okay to be a ship's captain in a sailor suit. So with the help of a kitchen chair/captain's wheel and a background we edited in, her imagination really took flight... errrr, that is... to sea.

Thanks very much - she is in real skin, from summer 2015, so not the glow kind.

 

Naias (Glow NS) just returned from Meenist with her new face up! Her new coloring seems to suit a Monique Lexy Golden Auburn size 6-7 wig and teal (OWL-012) 12mm Mako eyes. She looks so natural now.

 

I look forward to new Iplehouse BID sculpts. If they continue to make their BID dolls as realistic as my Ellia (Glow NS), it will be hard for me to resist adding to my collection (7 BIDs & 1 KID). Ellia has Mako 12mm AS-009 eyes.

Naias' new makeup is wonderful - congrats on getting her the way you wanted her.

I'm with you, I love Iple's realism and their sculpts' seemingly endless possibilities.

The Coco sculpt, for your LT, is perfect as a precious mischievous boy! The red hair adds to his charm.

I make most of my outfits but love to add creations by others as well.

 

those eyes are a gorgeous color, mako's are my favorite eyes right now. what color are they?

i love iplehouses's sculpts but wish there bodies were a little better proportioned. that's the only thing stopping me from buying a bunch more!

The eyes in Naias are Mako 12mm OWL-012. The eyes in Ellia are 12mm AS-009. Mako 12mm eyes are my favorite as well. I hope to get some Dollbakery eyes soon which are 12mm and 10mm (low dome). I think the iris may be larger than Mako and may need to order 10mm (low dome and small iris) next time. I ordered the Dollbakery eyes in March and still do not have them.

 

I couldn't agree more! Love their little faces, but the bodies--ICK!

I'm also waiting for the March order of DollBakery eyes. I saw something (either in her email or on the website) about them running out of boxes. To which I say: Send them without the box! Bubble wrap is fine with me.

 

you should post them on the mako eye thread. there are lots of other mako eye lovers who would like to see them too

i'd love to see a size comparison of the dollbakery 10's and the mako 12's when you get them if you don't mind. the only problem i have with the mako's is that they don't do smaller than 12mm. since that size fits my bids and pukifees though it's not too bad, but it would be nice to be able to get smaller eyes for my smaller dolls

Thanks for reminding me about the Mako Eye thread! I added my doll's Mako eye photos to the thread.

I will post comparison photos of the Dollbakery 10mm/12mm eyes with my Mako 12mm eyes as soon as I get them. I also wish that Mako would add 10mm eyes for all of our smaller dolls.

 

Naias (GNS) enjoys the sunshine with some new puppies. Hope that everyone has a great July 4th weekend!

I know how you are looking forward to the arrival of your new Ellia! I love the Iplehouse BID sculpts and have seven of them at present. It seems that each new BID doll is more beautiful than the last. No other BJD doll can compare with their realism as far as I am concerned.

Hello all! I am very excited to join this thread, although it will be a while before I will actually be able to hold my new addition. I just ordered a BID Bono from Iplehouse directly. I got her with a type A faceup and a girl body with mobility hips. I am looking forward to reading this thread while eagerly anticipating her arrival (which will probably take a few months...) Nice to meet you all!

 

She's gorgeous! And I love her puppies too.
I have a few resin puppies for my kids too. They are just static figurines, but still work great. Right now they are on a road trip with my Iple family. there's extremely little wifi up here, so this is the first I've been able to access DOA in weeks. Got to go read up on everything I've missed.....

Unless you put her on layaway, she might be here in a month or so, lately Iplehouse has been very quick on the deliveries (I ordered a BID in May for my aunt and she arrived in 3 weeks, without faceup). Obviously, they might be a bit slumped what with the event ^^.

 

Martyn sure is a real trooper, letting me use him as the model to make a wig for an incoming girl.

 

Is this wig for Erzulie? It's coming along great! Poor Martyn doesn't look too happy about being a head model.

 

Yes, the wig is for Martyn's cousin, Kemmy (Erzulie), who just arrived today. His other cousin, M'Aki, arrived last week. Both girls have come to spend the summer here in the countryside.

 

@El BJD They're adorable!! I love M'Aki's wig especially! Did you make it also?

My Bodie (LB Erzulie) got a new wig yesterday. I'm not sure if I like it since it's so close to her skin color. But sometimes black is too dark!

Her wig is lovely, dolphinnsfan. Maybe try it in a pigtail over or behind each ear. I still have to "tame" my girl's.
