Carol just emailed me, my Gia and event Aimee are being shipped today! I should have them tomorrow or Wednesday. So excited to finally have my first bjd!

Got my shipping notice from acbjd today my impldoll azalea is finally being shipped that was faster than expected

 

@catghost87 - Must be the same shipment as my Impldoll/Angelesque order! I got my shipping notice today, too! I'm hoping for tomorrow, just because she's going to be my boy's girlfriend and it'd be romantic as heck if she (her head) turned up on Valentine's.
@Yangire811 - Congrats on your Azalea, I've been waiting 4 months just for an Azalea head!

 

What is the average wait time for Impldoll? Was under the impression they were fast-ish?

 

@nocturneofsilence - I can't say. This is my first time buying from Impldoll, but most companies usually tend to be 3-4. Some can be shorter and others longer, while events and number of orders to fulfil can slow processes. The average is about 3-4 months, though.

My Azalea head came in today! As I'd hoped!! On Valentines Day, no less!!!

Her boyfriend is already quite protective of her. Despite her having no body, no eyes, no true face (face-up)... He's sat glaring at anyone daring to judge the bizarre situation!

 

@ivorysand glad that you got yours too! my Azalea was also delivered today :3 she is so pretty I got the elf head too high heeled feet and eyes were sent as a freebie and apart from one eyelash missing she is gorgeous

@nocturneofsilence I got 3 of the dolls I ordered in less than two months but I guess it varies if they are in-stock or if they have events.

 

I ordered mine on 11/5 and he shipped on 2/12, so think they average between 2 and 3 months. Mine had a face up included, so take that into account as well.

Luckily, he did not arrive when I was out of town, so for once I am thankful for the ems shipping delay.

 

I have just ordered Aurora today on the 64cm female body! I ordered her from Angelesque.

Hi, she was in stock but without blushing or face-up, so she has gone to the artist and should take about two weeks to arrive.

Gosh, I'm having bad luck with DDE ordering my impldoll. I am still waiting for an Alma head (which is supposed to come with faceup) I'm wondering if anyone has received their facebook event heads from November? I haven't gotten them either Such a heartbreaker! Ugh!

 

So, did you order your Aurora from Angelesque too? I have used the Angelesque face-up and body blushing service before and it was excellent I am very excited about getting Aurora! I will post pictures when she arrives, I would like to see your new girl too

 

yes i ordered my Aurora from Angelesque one month before :-) and she told me doll will arrive around after three month, so i have plenty time to learn sewing her clothes. but first i need to find time for that :-) i will show her as soon as she arrives

Has anyone who ordered in November got their orders yet? I ordered 30 November but I still haven't got a shipping notice or anything yet. I had to order via email (and also my first time ordering from them) so I'm getting a bit nervous now.

 

I ordered mine the beginning of November through Alice Collections and received him on 2/26. So you should be getting a notice soon, I would think.

 

Hello all. I placed an order on ACBJD back in mid February, and part of my order was an Aries on the 72cm FGB body (for my husband, who dislikes BJD but somehow loves this particular doll) and a free event Alma head (for me). Figured I'd join the Waiting Room to pass the time. Lol. I'm totally terrified that ACBJD didn't notice that I wanted the free event head, and that I won't get her. ​

Belatedly posting: my Trista came on February 12! I didn't post because I was so disappointed with the doll that I stepped away from the hobby. I ordered her through Alice's Collection, which I've found doesn't have great communication even at the best of times; the order was messed up; I have to wait a month or more for them to correct it; and the doll really didn't impress me. I'm still harumphing over the whole thing.

Sigh. Will go update the waitlist now.

Ok i ordered on february 20th.
I got tony in uv real, with the gavin outfit and an azelia on a 65cm body in real. Both with face-ups

I have a feeling im going to be waiting for a loooonnng time

 

I finally got around to adding mine to the waitlist. I ordered in October and I am still waiting.

 

oh really long waiting, i ordered impldoll aurora with face up and in muscle body in january 27th. so dont know company told me they will send it in late march but somehow think so it will be shipped in april

 

My order shipped on the 13th March 2018 (ordered on the 30th November during the Christmas event). I had two dolls to my order, both with face ups by the company. One of my dolls is grey skin and the other is pink skin. It hasn't arrived to me yet but I'm expecting maybe end of the week, early next week. So three months and a bit for production. The timeframe is probably dependent on resin colour and face up too I suppose.

 

I'm guessing it's not based much on face up then. I ordered mine blank in October and it's going on five months now. I've emailed them to ask and they said they would ship in April. If they do ship then, they'll be close to my longest wait time, which is not what I expected from Impldoll.

Maybe ordering UV Brown is the slow part. I don't know.

 

I just made a box opening thread about the doll here. I'm still disappointed with it and with Impldoll - still waiting for my replacement heads.

 

My dolls arrived to me today. I'm very pleased with both of them. These are my first Impldolls so I wasn't sure what to expect as I hadn't seen one in person previously. Everything was packed really well. I was surprised they don't glue on the eyelashes but if you wanted to use something different anyway, it works out. Not a big deal.

@UrbanHermit I've never ordered UV in any resin but I think you might be right. Perhaps it's a different mixture too being UV and tan seems to be a colour that takes a while with production, at least from what I've seen from other companies.

 

Oh man i ordered to uv real skin dolls with faceups and one with clothes. I guess im going to be waiting a very long time

 

Man, that stinks. :/ Were you ever able to get the head you wanted? This makes me nervous as I have an order for a body and head coming. >.<

So Impldoll sent my Facebook Event heads plus my long ago ordered Alma head (which has a faceup) on March 16. It finally got to customs on Thursday, I think, then sat there all weekend. It should be delivered tomorrow especially since it made it's last stop already before going out for delivery. Plus it's slated to get delivered tomorrow. I can't wait! My poor Alma body has been waiting for her head since forever it seems, LOL. I suspect Impldoll has become very popular, and isn't prepared for that.

I got my heads finally. The good news is that my Alma head, with faceup which I ordered in September arrived with the correct skin tone and a very lovely faceup. It's late, so I have no pictures unfortunately.

But my Facebook event heads came in completely wrong colors. I really hope they fix that? Instead of a real skin Dylan, I got a white one, and instead of a normal pink Lydia, I got grey! Because the order with DDE was messed up, they sent me an extra head, a Cecilia in, I think normal yellow. I'm really bummed because I really love the Lydia sculpture, but except for tame elves, I don't do fantasy! And don't do white either

Well, I emailed. Will have to see what they say? I just feel like I have had nothing but bad luck lately. I ordered clothes, but something happened to the Etsy shop and they closed down. And another expensive Etsy order never got here. Lost before it got to USPS, cold trail. I'm still waiting for the second mailing attempt?? It's kinda depressing. Thanks for letting me whine

 

I just sinned and ordered the in-stock Alice's Collection Tan Muscle Girl Aurora because I'd been wanting that exact combination and SHE WAS ON SALE (so i got accessories for free shipping including a stand that I hope works)!!! I resisted an entire week of watching her.... I am only human. I can only take so much temptation. I've had this character forever in my head. Her name is Mira and I'm so stoked for her!!!! I'm just praying she comes when everyone else in my house is out of town so I can enjoy her in peace.

I'm SO excited. I've been wanting to buy from the company again for a long while because they were so kind and gave me a Martin gift head even though I was a bit late on the list in my email for the gift event when they ran it. I was determined after that to support them! (Also the Martin head is gorgeous).

 

Ooh, please post photos when you get her! I don't see enough Aurora's or muscle bodies around here!

Hi, impl waiting room.

My wait is over, but I thought I might pop in since I've seen some worries about Impl's wait times getting progressively longer. I had ordered a Joshua through DDE on February 2nd and got him home on April 9th, so I believe they might be speeding up again! This might not be the case with every order, but it's a little spark of hope.

 

There was a box by my door when I got home from my adventure to get some gardening stuff. For a moment I was confused because I couldn't remember what I might have ordered lately until I saw the customs label. Never did get a shipping notification. XP



The color came out a lot paler than I was hoping, but I'm sure I can do something to it to get it to match. The important thing now is getting an appropriately-sized S-hook (and eyes... and wig... and I still have to order a respirator in small because all the hardware stores only carry mediums...)

 

Well it took way too long but I finally got in my new undamaged Aries head. Am I happy it came in? Yeah. Am I happy with the final result? Not exactly.

It looks a bit rushed in some places which is irritating due to how long it took to actually get it in the first place. I understood the chinese new year and was totally fine waiting it out, but it was march and still nothing and I had to remind them a couple times. I almost feel like if I had not reminded them, they wouldn't have done anything about it.

If not for the fact that there are no recasts available for impldoll, I would be completely terrified that someone might think he's a recast due simply to the poor quality on the inside of the head especially!

The inside also had some left over resin flakes.

Even the weight of the old head feels just a bit heavier than the new, as if they used less resin.

Maybe I'm just extra critical due to how long it took the doll to come in, idunno. look for yourselves.

I didn't get a shipping notice either! It seems like this has been happened a lot lately, and not just with Impldoll. It does seem like Impldoll has been busier than usual though. At least my package came safe-and-sound. Unfortunately, I have little ready for the head in terms of sealer and eyes @_@ (I am breaking up with MSC. We are no longer speaking. MSC is grounded and being confined to the back of the cupboard).

 

I don't remember if I posted here or not...so if I did, I apologize for posting again.

In February, I fell victim to their sale and bought two of the dolls I had been eyeballing for the last month. I bought Cecelia and XiaoWei through Alice's Collection and I have been eagerly waiting for the both of them to arrive! I have so many plans for them!

 

oh at least i got notice from angelesque that my Aurora is here :-) so i will get her at home in two days think so :-) she is amazing :-) it was very fast as it tooked me 3 months till she arrived to UK :-)

 

Right before I went to bed last night, I recieved an email from Alice's Collection tbat my dolls are being shipped!

I'm so excited!!

 

yesturday i got my Aurora on muscle body :-) she is stunning :-) better asin the main pictures. will play with her poses in weekend. it was 3 months trought UK dealer. and she is with me :-)

@garrenn my heads are all like that. First off, I think Impldoll actually sands/polishes their dolls, unlike most other doll companies, and that causes all the build up. I got some build up in the mouth of one of my dolls. I think they just process things differently. I also think this is why a lot of people say you can't dye impldolls because the dye takes unevenly (since resin is more porous after sanding?).

I guess I'm in the waiting room now for a lot of bodies. Impl made a mistake with the head event, and then corrected it, but it left me with floating heads. I never did fantasy colors before, but I got a grey Lydia and a white Nicolas. I was inspired to make a very light (man with albinism) man that looks like a famous model, and a WoW Night Elf, LOL, which lead to a change with my NSP Lydia, who will be a blood elf. Then I got my Dylan in tan, which is what I ordered, and am thinking of making him human and the Nicolas another blood elf? Anyways, I'm on the wait list for 4 bodies

 

I impulse bought Aries' head. His unique face and cute ears were too much for me.
Ordered May 3rd, got the shipping notice June 12th...so pretty quick really. I've been going a little crazy waiting because there are so few owner photos out there and I' really worried that maybe he's less super realistic from certain angles than Impl's photos. Now that's he's in the mail, a little crazy has been amped up to going super freaking crazy. Is there anyone here who recently order, did get a shipping notice, and lives in the US? If you're out there, can you tell me how long it took from notice to arrival?

And while I'm going crazy over here, I just keep thinking: And you ordered a Dollshe body for him. How in the hell are you going to wait that one out?

 

Well, because it's coming from China... dang I can't completely remember, but it seemed like it took maybe 4 long days in China, maybe more, then once it arrived, in USA, at the time, I got stuck in some kind of backup, because it took a couple of days to clear customs for some of my stuff recently... so I'm going to say at worst, 10 days? But more likely you'll have it within 6 days I didn't help, did I? LOL

I had to go look up Aries to see which one he was as I forget. LOL, and oooh yah, their fantasy sculpts are right on, you'll love him, I'm sure!!!

 

haha, I think it helps XD even an estimate is better than nothing. If I have a rough idea of the worst wait time, I can count down to that and if it gets here sooner, be super delighted.

He's a really interesting sculpt. I love his mouth, and think he will make a wonderful serious, yet gentle character.
