well impldoll did it again... i got my package today and it was less than satisfying the hands and feet i ordered were missing and the three deer bodies i ordered came partially in the wrong colors. the legs and deer body was supposed to be one skin color and the human parts and hooves were another... they sent the deer body correct but the legs the same as the human parts so they all look like they are wearing diapers... i know impl has a bad track record with sending things correctly the first time (i was expecting my order to be messed up) and they are really good about making it right but it is still deflating i will email them as soon as i am done whining in here and see what they say about this.

EDIT: they got back to me already and they are indeed going to send me new legs and the missing hands and feet. it stinks i have to wait another month or so for my deertaurs to be whole but worse things could happen so i wait on

 

I'm waiting to hear from Carol - I emailed once I knew she had Impldoll, she said she'd let me know once she knew if my order was in there. Haven't heard back but don't want to bug her again, so am sitting on hands and waiting.

Just wanted to let you know that I asked Impldoll for an estimate when my bodies will be ready, as their estimate when I ordered was 'two months' and I've been a week after that. They only replied that the bodies would be ready 'this month'. So... I guess I should get a mail in two weeks latest...

 

I just ordered a Star body in tan for my Vanessa head c: I'm so excited! I was told there is a 16 - 20 week however, and that seemed a bit unusual from what I've seen here... X__X

 

So when I made my order I asked Impldoll to send the package to my new address, just in case we moved before he shipped. My mom has been staying in the new house since December, and when I talked to her today she said I got a small package from China, "Oh, about a month ago. Or maybe it was two weeks? Sorry, I forgot to tell you." (It's definitely him, since the only other dolls I've ordered were through MOC.)

So I never got a shipping notice, and I have no idea when exactly he got there, but, uh, he arrived! I guess I've got a housewarming present to look forward to. XD

 

Just dropping by to give a lil update at my status.
I contacted impl today after not receiving an answer a week ago, asking again about the status of my order, seeing as they told me two months when I first ordered and 'this month' when I asked at the beginning of April to prepare the last payment.
They got to me surprisingly fast and let me know that the purple color was giving them troubles and this is what is causing the delay. Since they are still working on getting the color right, they need a bit longer, but I was promised they'd finish and ship out this month.
And thus I'm still here, waiting :3

 

Got a note on Sunday that my order is finished and that they needed my shipping address. I sent it to them right away (about an hour after getting the note) and haven't heard from them since, so I contacted them today if they already shipped the bodies and asked for a tracking number :3
Hope to be able to update on the shipping soon...

 

does anyone in here know if it's normal for your package to say "Processed Through Facility SHENYANG EMS, CHINA" for over a week? i feel like it should at least have made it out of china by now, but this is my first time ordering something as large as a doll directly from china? it just looks like most other people in here received theirs in about a week or less. :0

 

My package isn't from Impldoll but it was posted before Christmas (the 21st) and has been sitting in various places in Shanghai since the 22nd. I think the new year has probably caused a bit of a backlog. Hopefully we'll both get our packages soon! ‎

 

ohhh i see! i thought the chinese new year happened at a different time? but that's okay, as long as it's not lost or anything. :p

I had a package from Granado ship out on Nov 24 and get stuck at that point for a month! Apparently China EMS had a serious backup Nov-Dec, and they're still working through it. If it gets stuck too long, send a Q&A to Impldoll and they can contact the post in China to see about it for you

Bah, I just contacted Impldoll and they said that my order (Placed Dec 30) will probably be able to ship mid March due to Chinese New Year, instead of their regular dates. Such a bummer

 

I hope I got the formatting right... This is my first time ordering a bjd. Im super excited!!

 

Ordered a body for my incoming MnF head, excited! I was going to go through Angelesque but saw some comments on their Facebook page about people waiting for Impl orders since August and October, anyone know more about that? I usually go through Carol to save on shipping and customs fees but it seems like direct orders from Impl are pretty fast and since it's just a body the shipping wasn't too bad, hopefully customs won't catch it in their net!

 

So excited!!! Can't wait to finally have her in my hands!

Has anyone gotten any dolls or updates since April? I hadn't looked at the list since I put my update, and now I'm starting to get worried!

I've checked the wiki listing for a few companies trying to get a feel of how long they take but no one is updating it, plus i can only find them when I go to the old forums and clicking the new link at the top of the chat. I can't find the new listings any other way :/ it is very inconvenient.

Hey all, my Yilia arrived today! Took around 7 weeks to get to me (I ordered her on June 12th). I did not receive a shipping notice from AC or Impldoll, she just showed up, to my happy surprise. She's really lovely but I think I may be using her body for a hybrid and selling her head. Anyway, just thought I'd update.

A croc pet doll that isn't even pictured on their catalog.
Looks like Colby kind of. No scars, closed mouth, no teeth, big smile, and far apart eyes.

 

What the... that's super bizarre. I hope they sort it out. Nothing worse than waiting for months for a doll, only to have it be the wrong one.

 

does anyone knowif two months for a custom color doll is a normal production time? I don't want to send an email and ask because I had to send a few asking if they got the color sample after I sent it and I don't want to be a problem. They've been super nice the entire time and I worry that I'm being a pest, but I did order her back in December, and they never did get the mailed samples, so I had to do a lot of legwork to find out what the corresponding pantone color was so I could email that to them instead on June 12th. They said they'd work on getting her out soon, and I haven't heard back since. Checked the website daily on weekdays, now, and still lists her as "producting."

I know these things can take time, especially when it's a custom resin, so I'm trying not to right now, but the anticipation is literally driving me up the wall at this point, and I'm having to tell myself the wait has technically only been 2 months and not 8, since they didn't start making her until June. I'M GOING BONKERS YOU GUYS!!!

I'm also super glad I didn't ship my Lu-Wen headcap to them for the resin match, cause the shipping of just a letter-sized package with a paint card from the hardware store was just a NIGHTMARE! The first attempt was lost forever, and the second attempt came back mangled, "never picked up," so I can't imagine what would have happened to Florence's cue-ball if I'd troed to send that! Also, even postage for the LETTERS was stupidly expensove, holy crap!

 

Hello everyone! It's been many years, since I ordered a doll! I've had a floating Delf Juri B 2007 head without a body forever and I finally decided to get her... I mean myself a present and I love the look of Impldoll bodies. Even so they've been around apparently since 2009, I never saw them before. Being a big Iplehouse fan, loving their bodies, it's so awesome that I can get a similar look with Impldoll for my Juri. I have no idea if the body will match though. If not, well, I can always find another head ;P But the search will have to continue for my Juri. I sure hope it will be close enough!

So Ordered today at DDE, with a 4 - 6 month wait ahead of me. Ugh! But it'll be like a Christmas present Who doesn't like a Christmas present that you REALLY want? eh?

@hellsingmongrel I'm sorry I can't help you with that, but I'm glad for your post because I had no idea that there was such a thing as pantone color, or that one could buy a set of plastic color chips and tell a manufacturer to make something in that color! Very cool.

Personally, I think they're used to fussy worried anxious mommies / daddies to be. Go ahead and talk to them, just make sure your tone, when you read it back to yourself, is very nice and polite I think it'd be fine

 

Congrats on your order! It shouldn't take 4-6 months for Impldoll though. It took almost exactly two months to receive my order, which came in about a week ago. So it may be a shorter wait than you think!

Impldoll IS fast. Like, super fast.
I technically ordered the head on June 19 and body on June 26 (at the time, I was considering hybriding because 72cm is really tall for me... but I decided I wanted the body after all and bought it).
He shipped at the beginning of this week and is already at the sorting center! =O That's about a month and a half? Course, he might be stuck in customs for a while.... I once had a pair of doll eyes stuck in customs for over a week. @_@

 

@IngieBee Yeah, it's not something offered by most companies, and I was super happy when I realized they would do it, since it took out the worry of finding a resin match for my old Lu-Wen head! Telling them the pantone number is much easier then mailing the color sample if you can, if only because it means you don't have to keep going to the hardware store and pretending you want to buy house paint to grab some color cards.

I plan on waiting until exactly 2 months since I last talked to them to ask, so I don't look like a fusspot, I just hate to be rude. Social Anxiety and all. So it makes it hard for me to tell if I'm being a pest or not. At the very least, I always try to be polite and professional in my emails to people. Unless someone has actively jerked me over, there's no sense in being a .

 

@Silver_Unicorn297 , that's great to hear! I'll still have to add a week, though, since I got it at DDE, most likely. At least I've gotten calmer than the old days... Er, at least I hope I have LOL. We'll see as time passes if I start climbing the walls! This will be my very first SD size doll

@hellsingmongrel gosh I didn't even think you can use paint chips! How much does that cost? That is, how much extra do they charge for custom colors?

 

I don't think the wall-climbing will ever stop being a thing, no matter how much we tell ourselves we aren't.

It depends on the size, I think? From what I can tell, their two larger sizes don't require anything extra, but the smaller types might? I know I didn't have to pay anything extra for my girl's star body. But I don't know if they mention priceing for custom colors anywhere one their FAQs. I wasn't looking for one that size, so I didn't check.

 

Well, unfortunately, Denver doll Emporium won't do special color requests. They also hold the orders until they have a large enough order, so I am likely in for a long wait and the skin is likely to be much lighter than my CP Juri 07. I'll probably try the lightening with white pastels technique. Too bad, as I like her face as it is :/

 

I just got a reply. they're working on the custom color and said they expect to ship her out in about three weeks!

 

For those ordering dolls in "Special Colors" prepare to be patient. Not sure how many people check the brigadoon but I'm currently struggling to keep up hope with Impldoll after ordering a Special Green Colby and receiving a mint green colby with the wrong head (A head they do not even show on their website anywhere). In an e-mail (there have been several back and forth) they admitted they knew the color was off when they sent it and it took several e-mails for them to understand the head was not the one I wanted. (I paid for what was on their website, received something different) They told me they were having problems casting special colors. I'm not sure if that just applies to the darkness of the Special Green on their website, or every color they are dealing with. We ordered this little guy (complete with the pirate outfit of Jaydens as a custom order) Mid May....its now Mid August and while I do have this light minty green croc....I do not have what I paid for...not even the outfit (what they said was the hold up at first before just shipping the doll).

Those of you who have ordered during the event and received your items, if you received the free impldoll Colby is its mouth open or closed?

 

Luckily, I don't care what head I get sent. I ordered during thr Christmas event, so I asked for the Cloris head, but if I got another one, I wouldn't even care, I don't even need it.

Hopefully they fix your issue, though, cause that's got to be nerve-wrecking!

 

So it appears impl has been speeding up recently? I've heard things about longer than usual wait times form them but from what I've read on this thread they seem to be doing pretty well. Would you guys say that's true?

In my quest to find a perfect shell I stumbled across Alma and oh my gosh she's gorgeous!! Just looking at wait times, now, but i know i want her.

 

I ordered mid May, they shipped an incorrect doll to me Mid July, I received the shipping notice for the next shipment Friday...so hopefully I'll be receiving the correct doll soon. Although others that ordered their dolls around the same time we did seem to receive everything in order after about 30 business days from what I can tell.

 

Sorry to hear they mixed up your order. I'm still waiting on the guy I ordered end of June, and starting to get super antsy. First full doll ordered in several years. I hadn't even considered they might get my order wrong. Hmmm... I ordered through Alice's Collections and also bought some Doll Legend jointed hands, so those may have slowed down the package. Or... or it could be stuck in customs. Gosh, I hope nothing is broken.

Hi, I ordered an Impldoll baby Gela yesterday. I have ordered her with face-up, body blushing and in white skin. I am so excited! Really looking forward for her arrival. I've ordered her on Angelesque. She is going to be Amber's little sister.

I ordered my body because I really love the impldol body, but realized that the neck was just going to be too big for my Lutz head. I really didn't want to sand the neck down 1.5 cm, that's just too much. So what to do? Why, make her a full doll of course! Lucky I really love a lot of their sculpts, so I settled on Alma with type B faceup. I hope they do good faceup!

 

Alright, so, i just now placed my order through Denver Doll and paid my first layaway payment for my Impldoll Young body!!! I'm really nervous and excited, because this is the first ever BJD related anything I've ever ordered, since my only other resin is a head i won in a giveaway last October. I'm finally getting a body for it!!!

I ordered the Young MSD human boy body in Real Skin to match the 5stardoll head I've been modifying. I went with a 3-month layaway, so ill be done with payments at the very end of October! Since they're ordering it now, it'll take 16-20 weeks to get here, so i should have the body either at the end of December, or the middle of January!

I'm considering asking DDE to hold onto the package if it arrives to them in December, and wait to send it until after the Christmas rush with the mail, because i would hate for something to happen to it in transit or for it to get lost. Do you think that's a good idea? I don't mind waiting an extra few weeks if it means that my resin will be safe...

In the meantime, I now have 4-5 months to poke around and gather some clothes for my doll! Do any of you have favorite shops (like on Etsy or otherwise) that make clothes that fit your impldoll bodies, if you already have one? Just curious! I'll be making myself a little list of measurements between impldoll and some other popular companies to use as a guide for when i shop around!

Please? Just would appreciate knowing if anyone got a free croc baby doll with their purchase? If you did, what does it look like?

Not to worry others, because it seems Impl is otherwise doing an impressive job.
However... My order also came wrong. I ordered in late May and got mail from them early August. Received same head sculpt as @errinreynolds, which is not what I ordered either, nor is it even in Impl's sales catalog. Seems to be a semi common mistake here. Both her and I ordered these dolls before the free croc baby promotion. We paid for these pet dolls, which likely prompted the promotion. Impl seems to be a tad bit dodgy with emails trying to remedy our two situations. Still waiting for results almost a month later. Thus why we are asking/ investigating all we can with others.
Super cool to hear how everyone else's orders are going great. Gives a little bit of hope!

Thanks, really seems like it's only us two with issues though. Which isn't too bad considering how many successful, and prompt orders they're shipping out in comparison.
To answer your questions, in my opinion waiting to ship till after the Christmas rush sounds like a good idea. Never had a doll from a company come in December from what I recall. Always came November or January. Although I have shipped, and recieved a few second hand dolls on DOA around xmas time with no problems.
As for Impldoll outfits, I couldn't say for certain as I don't exactly have one to dress. An etsy shop called TNTDollclothing has affordable basic style doll clothes if that helps. It's a fair starting point to see what clothes will fit without breaking bank.

 

Thats good to hear! Ive noticed their production time seems a little shorter than a lot of other companies too, thats one of the reasons why i went with them.

Ill probably wait until december to ask for an update on my order, and then mention holding off on shipping until january at that time. I feel like ive emailed them too much already! And thank you, ill definitely check out that shop! Maybe they have some things i can add to my wishlist

Just jumping in to say I requested and paid for a custom resin Vanessa on the idol body in June. I got my shipping notice last week.

The ordering process was simple to begin with but then became confusing as they sent me resin sample pictures which looked nothing like my request.

A lot of back and forth and we finally got to something closer to what I was looking for, so I gave them the go ahead.

I had to reiterate my original request multiple times, despite them initially stating when they took my payment/order that it wouldn't be a problem.

So, the doll is in customs at present. I really really hope they haven't messed it up, as I have been concerned throughout the whole process that they didn't listen to my requests. We shall see, but I will update here once I know more...

 

Uh oh. Ive got my fingers crossed for you! Hopefully if it doesnt come in the exact color, itll at least be close enough to it that it can be tinted here and there with some strategic blushing! Cant wait to see it when it gets here, though, which will hopefully be soon!
