Impldoll Waiting Room v3!

Couldn't resist the event.

 

They said my Dorisy and Gela would ship "soon"... too. This is the longest I've ever had to wait for a doll. It almost feels like I didn't order them at this point.

 

Sooo wish I had waited on ordering. I like their event that they're having now. >.>

 

Anything since early July shipped? I was told it'd ship "this month" last month and whilst I'm not horrendously bothered by a longer wait, it is just a blank head.

 

MissTansa, I ordered a blank head July 24th and was last told it would ship soon. They originally said it'd take 20 days but I'm kinda used to things taking longer!

 

Haha yes I've actually been keeping an eye on your order since I placed mine just in case you updated :P I don't normally bother joining the waiting rooms but the many events going on either side of my ordering worried me a little bit. Somehow it always feels worse waiting when they tell you it'll be soon!

 

I tend to lurk in the waiting room as I usually mess up the list. My second order seems to have vanished except for my name! I ordered from a different company whose wait time was about three months so I calculated when that would be and tried to put it from my mind. That was an easier wait because I wasn't actively waiting (is that a thing??) I just knew that I'd be getting a package around my birthday. Maybe I will pick a date that's quite far away and tell myself my order won't arrive until then. If it's early, nice surprise! If not then there was a little less waiting!

 

I may do that as well. I have the body for my Alma head all ready to go and am trying to make it feel better by making clothes but I've been wanting to shell this character for 5+ years so I'm getting all impatient! xD

 

It's frustrating having half a doll although I haven't had a head without a body yet. In fact I did swear no more floating heads...but then Erica vanished from the site which made me realise how much I wanted her. I haven't ordered her body yet and she may have to wait as I'm probably going to take advantage of Impldoll's current event to get a body for my Facebook Martin head. But as I want a Star body which does not qualify for the event, I may end up getting another head...! At least your girl should have plenty to wear when she finally gets to you!

My Erica head still seems to be sitting in Shenyang. I couldn't resist the event as an opportunity to get Martin a body.

 

Still nothing on the shipping front. Starting to get impatient as we're approaching the longest I've waited for a doll (surprising I know! I have been very lucky!).

Not that long in all honesty, only a month and halfish but Rubydoll ordered just before me and her head has been shipped. They did say they would send "this month" last month so the impatience admittedly grew! It is just impatience though, I'm nowhere near frustrated yet :-)

My head still hasn't arrived. The tracking status has been the same for a week so I contacted Impldoll. They said not to worry, the EMS just hadn't updated. So I'm assuming she's probably stuck in customs because that's the part that usually takes the longest!

 

That would be frustrating! I know I've been counting days and today makes 44 business days since I ordered. Unless they had a holiday somewhere in there.

I hadn't even thought about a customs wait after the doll finally ships...

 

Boo Though still odd, I've never had EMS just stop updating on me before but perhaps I've just gotten lucky with that too.

I asked in QnA about it and apparently it's shipped, they just haven't sent me my number yet. I have visions of it turning up the 1 day I won't be home all day in the next 2 weeks xD

 

Well I have been waiting SEVEN WEEKS for a replacement horn and eyes, so I'm not at all happy with Impledoll right now!!

Not only do they OMIT to send what is stated on their website as INCUDED, they ship out faulty product that is supposed to have undergone quality control.

I shan't be buying any further dolls from them. I'll just stick to buying dolls from Korea.

All I can add is "GOOD LUCK" to those waiting on dolls, hope they turn up soon.

 

Oh jeez, I'm sorry to hear that Xanadu. I really hope you get the horn and eyes soon. I am starting to suspect them of talking some rubbish just on this supposedly shipping but haven't given me any details, my order status hasn't changed. I really hope they aren't pulling what some ebay sellers have done to me before - say it's shipped, even going so far as giving me a tracking number for an item that hasn't actually entered the postal system yet.

I honestly feel like maybe less events and deal with their customers first would be a good idea. I can't imagine how many free heads they must be processing now...

My cousin and I started our BJD journey together, and this is the longest either of us have had to wait for a doll to find its way home! But, I emailed Alice's Collections and they informed me on the 19th of this month that my order from Impldoll would be done in ten days - but it still has to get to ACBJD and checked before my girl makes her way to me. I'm really glad I got EMS shipping 'cause I don't think I could wait after I get a shipping notice!

 

I'm getting pretty fed up with impldoll. Almost a week since my head was supposedly sent, still no tracking number or order status change. I'm not convinced they're telling me the truth to be completely honest. A month ago it was being shipped "this month"...

Well, after a few emails, I finally received one of those "it's shipped, even going so far as giving me a tracking number for an item that hasn't actually entered the postal system yet" yesterday!

Now the wait begins to see if the parcel has actually been sent. I can't wait to finally get this one completed, it's been a big headache!!

 

Shockingly, after leaving another post on their site, I finally got a number and my head is actually already in my country. Genuinely surprised!

I'm waiting for a FB event Vanessa head in tan, and I've no idea if I'll even know when it's shipped, but I'm super excited! I've never ordered any bjd-related stuff before that, so I'm not sure what to expect at all.

Thanks Brigitte, my parts are finally on their way. To be honest I am so over this doll now, so will probably move the darn thing on as soon as the missing pieces arrive!!

 

I feel that sentiment... Hoping seeing it will bring back the excitement. Another impldoll issue, they sent it to my old address even after confirming they would send it to my new one. Thankfully the old one is my grandmother's so it's not lost. Just more delay and cost for her to ship it to me.

my Erica head finally arrived! Don't know why EMS took so long - I emailed Impldoll twice convinced it was lost! Paid off my layaway for Martin's body - they say they've started making my order. Hopefully my head will ship in 10 days or so, going by Facebook ...

 

I hope everyone who has been waiting for a while gets their dolls or parts soon! I figured they'd be backed up, considering their event, so I steeled myself for an extremely long wait before ordering - looks like I should be glad for that!

 

Finally got delivered to my Grandma's so now it's just waiting for it to come over from hers. Bless her she's sent it by 24hr courier at her own cost! (Thanks Impldoll....!)

 

@MissTansa - Whew!!!! I'm glad she made it home!!!

 

I didn't get a shipping notice, but my arrival date was the 15th. It looks much better now.

Made the final payment on my Impldoll Cedric last night! I am so excited to be getting him. But I'm also really nervous because I recently moved house, and I'm not too sure of how reliable my new postman is. In the past they've left a parcel on the doorstep - definite postie faux pas.

Sooo...it was the old version of the star body that I wanted, because of how slim it was, and small chested. I emailed AC about it when I ordered, saying that I really wanted the old version, but if it was the new one, to please request the small bust. They assured me I would receive the old one.

Lo and behold, I got the new version. Complete with huge boobs



Ive never had to deal with a problem like this before, Do you think they will at least send me a small bust replacement?

On a slightly unrelated note, her feet are listed as being 7.7cm, but are only 7. So if you plan on ordering a Star girl, dont bother busting your hump to find huge shoes for her like I did, haha.

 

Aww I'm sorry to hear about that @Cydril. I'm pretty sure they'll offer you an exchange given that you sent them so many emails and they gave you their word that you'd get the small bust. Not a fan of having giant boobed girls in my bjd family either tbh.

As for me: I just sent Impldoll an email last night asking if they had shipped my boy yet and apparently even though they had received my final layaway payment, they wanted to confirm my address. Like, it's cool that they wanna do that, but you think they could've emailed me asking for it instead of waiting for me to contact them. Boo. Maybe I'm just impatient because today is my birthday and I was hoping I would get him around this time. But next week it is I guess!

My boyfriend has agreed to paint the robot parts for me. He's really great with the mechanical armies of his warhammer miniatures and I think it will transfer well to this type of doll. But the faceup and human parts will be all me.

 

Ha, that is a little weird @purplemoo , maybe they just werent quite finished with him and said that as an excuse? I hope he gets to you soon, youve been waiting a long time! (and happy birthday!)

Alice's let me know that Impldoll will be sending me a small bust replacement, so thats a huge relief. I did want the older body, but if they're not producing it anymore I guess it cant be helped.

 

I got my shipping notice! Will his suit get here first or his body? I have a feeling he might end up squeezing into a jumper and some stripey trousers so at least he won't be completely naked but I really doubt any of the other tops I have for him are gonna fit that huge chest! I still don't have a name for poor Gela but at least she has plenty of clothes!

 

This has got to be the fastest postage I've had on a doll. 22 days it took my head from Impldoll to get here yet my big body package was here almost before I knew it. Didn't sit in customs or anything! Couple of hiccups though - one of the outfits I ordered was missing and as it's out of stock they sent me a refund. Which they sent as a payment so Paypal got a slice of it. And my gift event Gela was unexpectedly a boy! So I will be doing my first male to female mod. Other than that and one of the jointed hands coming off in transit, everything was fine. ^^

 

Yeeee, my Martin's head arrived yesterday!

 

hi everyone! i finally paid off my layaway (that was rough ) so now onto the waiting phase...

 

So I still haven't received my tracking number from Impldoll. They said that I would receive a tracking number over a week ago that still hasn't arrived. This is really annoying considering I was paying off a doll that they were meant to already have in stock. I just sent them another email.

 

My order has shipped!! Yay! Can't wait for my Bernice et co. to make it home!

 

Finally got a tracking number! If the shipping dates shown in the list are anything to go by, then my impldoll cedric is going to be here in less than 2 weeks.

 

My Bernice et co. order has arrived!! Impl was pretty fast with my order this time around. I haven't had time to open the parcel yet (busy at work) but maybe later in the evening. Hoping all elf ears survived the journey... Edited to add: Box opening link.

 

Finally got my order! I feel I should tell you all in honesty that there were several problems with my doll and my experience with Impldoll.

The first problem was that even though they had the full doll in stock and my payment in full, they did not send him out for a month after I paid. They kept telling me that they would send him next week, and then I stopped receiving emails all together. When the doll finally arrived in Australia he was sent to the wrong address, even though I had told them I had moved and confirmed my new address twice.

When I opened the box there were two disappointments. The first is that the middle finger on the doll's left hand had snapped off during shipping. This was pretty disappointing, but hey, these things happen. I could always put his gun arm on after all.
But then I realised that due to the doll's unusual design, there was no way the mask that he is pictured with would fit on the doll's head. This was because of the design of the doll's protruding ears. I didn't actually think that the doll would even come with ears, because he was never pictured with ears in the company photos. There is literally no way this mask is fitting on his head.



So I've emailed Impldoll regarding the finger and the ears. I honestly doubt there's anything they can do because the doll was limited AND sold out when I bought him. Shame because I would totally pay more money just to have a head that's compatible with the mask.

My plan of attack right now - after waiting a while to see if impldoll will do anything - is to sand those ugly, weird, unnatural looking ears down and attach the mask with magnets. Since the finger was broken fairly cleanly I don't really have a problem with re-gluing the digit. (We can rebuild him... We have that technology!)

Overall though... I really, really really really love this doll! I know it doesn't seem like I do, but he's so awesome and unique! I'm not even just saying that, I just spent 2 hours fiddling with his stringing, and even unfinished he's just so brilliant. I'm really excited to see what I can do with him. Also GIFTS! They gave me the gift head! And some eyes and an SD girl's outfit.

 

@purplemoo Congrats on him making it home. Lately, Impl has been doing lots of things to keep their customers happy so I sincerely hope they can make it right with you. I look forward to seeing some more pics of your robot fella.

 

Thanks @mollym! Impldoll got back to me and said that they would send me a new set of hands and a head cast without ears! I really hope that they weren't just saying that because that would be so amazing if they did that.
I'd feel a bit weird reminding them if they stopped replying again though.
I can't wait to start painting him. I've seen so few owner photos of impldoll cedrics so I'm really looking forward to seeing what I can do.

 

Good, that is what I would expect from them. Whenever there's a problem, they seem to come through. Here is the current discussion thread. I'm sure the others would love to see some pics and to know about your robot.
