Yeah, I really like that he does not like 20, more like 40 by default. You could also say he looks like he is very experienced.

 

I can make some pictures as soon mine is here (I think it´s getting january with all the christmas and new year post). Sadly no comparison pics because I sold the first version of the body already.

 

@ uminari: That would be great indeed. And just take your time, I am absolutely not in a hurry. No problem that you don't have the old body, as I have it here in two different colours.

 

Uwaaa. I'm having a hard time posing my Dorisy. Her head doesn't have any mobility meaning she can't look up or down, really...I can't get her knee joints to stay so the only way she can sit is with her legs straight out...She doesn't want to stand...Just having a bad time in general. D;

 

@mikumikuowo - MaryamDN is right. Impl has been sending their dolls strung suuuuper tightly lately. My latest Star body was the same way as was my Alma. I'd string her up so she's a little more loose and she should be fine. I heard the old star bodies are really good posers.

 

I have missed a LOT! wow!
The main difference between super model and Idol is realism. Super models have super detailed lips and more 'life lines' in their faces. That Nicolas is intriguing! I'd have to adjust his right eye to match the left and maybe sand that brow on the right a bit, but he's like boy Cruella DeVille! He'd be so much fun to make a bad guy!

Crystal is super cute!! I think I'd wanna mod those teeth off, but what a classic beauty! Bet she'd make a cute boy too!

He'll be a feline boy, not a vampire. My Deborah is also not a vampy.

The Old Starwoman body poses better than the new. It is much more willowy, too, but solid. I liked it very much.

Does anybody know if iplehouse e.i.d woman clothes fit the female Idol line? They have a pretty dress I would like on my Azaela. Well when I'm buying her next year

 

I understand that they do fit well. Just be aware that the Idol is taller than the EID. The Starwoman size is EID height.

 

My Model girl isn't quite as easy to handle as my boy but I haven't had any problems getting her to sit or stand. When you're bending her knees are you making sure you're getting the little ridge in place? There's two ways of bending the knees as my embarrassed assistant will demonstrate below;



With the mobilty joint at the top of the thigh, twisting it one way helps her stand as it makes it a bit harder for her to bend forwards - and turning it the other way makes it easier for her to sit. As for the head - is it that her head won't move to begin with, or just won't stay? I did put another groove in my Tdelia's head to allow the S hook to be placed futher back which meant she could look up more. Keep trying with Dorisy and I hope she does become easier to handle.

I really do like the Model body - so much so that even though Tdelia is now on an AoD body and Erica will be getting a Resinsoul body, I'm considering ordering Aigne to go on the body which is soon to be headless, just because I don't want to sell it. I've been trying to decide between Iris and Aigne but as the Model body will be the shortest of my girls, I thought Aigne looked quite young and innocent. So if anyone has any owner pics of, well, either of those girls, they'd be much appreciated ^^

 

I looove my Idol Deborah, I do!! But I am getting so frustrated with the engineering of the Idol/nStarwoman body that I may just start a petition for a more action-oriented body. It's not fair the boys are mobile and the girls are not. Grr!

Wouldn't be a problem for me. A white underskirt would be fitting into the elven theme. Putting Azaela on the star body, too.

 

Ah! Then it should look pretty darn good! The Star/Idol body is a bit leaner than an EID, but the crossovers I've seen of clothes to company look perfectly fitted.

 

My Alma has an EID outfit on right now and she looks great in it. The SID outfits fit the Star bodies nicely as well. I have two Star girls and all they wear is Iplehouse.

Another new Impl boy? Wow. They are busy! I haven't seen the photos either.

No problem, @Uminari ! I think the Star body is quite lovely. Not the strongest poser but I think a lot of it has to do with how tightly Impl seems to be stringing their dolls lately. They legs just want to cross themselves, like, always.

 

I love the model body actually, my Iris is one of my two favorite posers.

 

The model and old Star bodies are lovely posers... the new Star and Idol female bodies are just (IMO) lovely. Impl took to crossing the string in the pelvis and that's why the legs wanna cross in the front. I did a traditional stringing so her legs don't clamp together anymore but the joints are not designed to roll out like a hip joint does naturally. Consequently, her leg stick out terribly when she sits. Luckily Chalyss is a woman of action and rarely sits.

@MaryamDN, yes!! In my pics of her, I drew her boots with hooved toes. Berta was able to duplicate that, especially in the blue ones which were the 2nd pair she made for me. They are very hoof-y!

please use this way to assembling doll thigh.see below picture!!^^ Merry Christmas

 

I tried that, and after the operation, he could not sit any longer. I simply removed the strings out of the holes and ended up restringing him the old way (as he arrived).

Another question: Is it basically possible to use the old feet and ankles on the new male body? Because the old feet have much more mobility than the new ones (and look better, too).

Hope it does not end in the decision between looks and mobility...

 

Hi Sakness! Merry Christmas to all the Impl folk!! The Traditional Stringing as you demonstrate is indeed what I use for my Chalyss (the red Deborah). It does not end the mobility issues though it does help. They really can't sit normally or even well after the strings are placed like that but it does help standing and a little bit of posing.

The new Starwoman/Idol Impldolls would benefit greatly from different/better engineering. I know they look sleek, but that's all they ended up good for- looks. Head mobility and the mobility chest joint are not good for posing. Anyway, have a very Happy Christmas and I'll write to you directly concerning these issues later. Have a fabulous holiday!!!

IPLEDREAMER, for now it is a decision between looks and mobility unless you're willing to mod a good deal. When I find out what mods are needed, I will post them. My red girl is supposed to be all action! Instead, she just stands- wobbly but pretty. I kept the Traditional way (shown above) because she doesn't sit, so she stands better. She DOES stand better with strings uncrossed, but she can't sit now. At all, really. You have to choose which you prefer your doll to do.

 

I am really torn at the moment. The newer torso (because that's what it's all about in the case of the guys) looks better,because the lower half is unbroken. And my new character is intended to be my renaissance man (I think Nicolas' face very much looks the part), I somehow think of somebody like a young Albrecht Dürer (famous German, respectively Franconian painter from my home town Nuremberg). Thus I don't think he needs to be as mobile as Captain America or Hawkeye. I am thinking he could contribute to my Avengers team as a painter whose paintings become reality or something like that. So all he really has to do is to hold a colour tablet and a brush. I am already imagining him standing in my living room with the fireplace in front of a big, blank canvas, with his beautiful, long hair...
okay, maybe I should simply make him real.

 

wow guys my nightmares came almost true.... my body is since 11th in germany but they only sent me an e-mail (which was in my spam of course X_X.) WHY?!?! Now I have to deal with this til new year and pay storage fees + customs

 

If you have female body, you need to turn the joint at the bottom of your thigh to sit down.i will post picture ASAP.

And I just got the answer from Impldoll that you just have to request the old type ankles/feet for the new torso body. Amazing customer service, really!

Now it is just a matter of a debate with myself if I can justify spending my Christmas money on that guy or not...

I would say spend it... but only because I´m hovering about the order button for either Azaela or my big Iplehouse order (with clothing and a B.I.D). I got so much money this year... still can´t believe it. But I should save every penny >,<

I was also thinking monster/ork as soon as I saw that picture. Very battle worn looking either way.

 

This company is more and more taking a direction that a company used to have which I found very, very interesting: that company before Raurencio Studio (forgot how they were called). That mature guy with the fascinating ears. I am sure, you all know him.

Edit: It was the Ark sculpt from Unidoll. I was kind of glad when this company disappeared and now offers more or less mainstream (nothing against that). And now Impldoll is presenting such temptation...oh dear. Not this sculpt, but maybe there are more to come?

 

My first thought was he sort of looks like Vincent from Beauty and the Beast (the TV show). You wouldn't see the ears under his mane.

 

He'd be a fabulous Orc in, say, custom green? He'd also make a pretty amazing Beast- I agree with you, @xtal. If someone is talented with monster fur, they could make him a pretty wicked mane. Maybe get him in a shade of brown? Oh, dear. I'm making myself want him. Hah.

 

Oh, I love that K sculpt! I've been eyeballing him on their site since they released him. I didn't want the fullset though since I like to do my own thing. That wig is awesome though!

@MaryamDN - Your Bernice inspired me. I needed to get a younger version of my Cedarheart Lillian (who was already on an Impl Star body) so I got a Bernice head of my own.

 

I love, love, love his nose. And those big ears! I dunno. I might just end up with a random head because I keep on going back to that website.

I did! Her freckles are burnt umber light acrylic. I thin it out big time and then just flick it on by running my thumb over a paint brush. Works like a charm. For non-freckled folks who still need skin texture I bought a wide range of brown and peach coloured paints. If you pick something that's a shade or a half shade darker than their resin you'll get some nice depth but it won't look like freckles just skin.

Alas, my eyebrow game is still weak. One of these days...

 

and on my side his potential growing... owh that´s bad maybe he will sneak into my order someday as an optional head. But first things first (my Azaela which will be named Amira - well for now).

Are you sure about the website? Because I tested it and it loaded faster than in the last weeks. I`m using chrome

 

Yes, I'm using Chrome too. Takes forever to load for me, on any of my computers ever since they switched to a new site/host. Maybe my ISP..? I don't know, I only know it's frustrating as all get out. Not just the site proper, that's fine, but the individual pages. Maybe it's /their/ picture host because it keeps getting hung up on the photo loads, but I run a gaming rig so I have a good amount of firepower. I'm surprised I have a problem at all, and rather doubt it's on my side unless it's the connection. Which it could be. But we have 2 different ones- one downstairs where I am and one upstairs. Same problem no matter where I am.

Hey all! I know...my appearances here are totally sporadic. Anyway, I did the thing. I ordered my custom coloured Alma and Azalea! IMPL has already received my paint cards which I sent by registered letter, so everything's going a lot more smoothly than it did the last time I ordered a custom colour from IMPL.

 

I'm liking Impl more and more because their sculpts are becoming more realistic and more my style. I just wish their male bodies are more refined and muscular.

@greeneyed-soul - I only just got my Martin this month but he doesn't have a body yet. Once the body gets here, I'll blush him till he matches the body and then do the faceup. So no Martin spam for a while but at least he was in the Christmas group photo.

@SapphireStargazer - ooohh nice~ What are they going to be and what color did you order?

 

@yuan_mdx - thanks! I'm getting Elf Azalea on the Star body in a custom blue colour, and Alma on the Star body in a custom brown colour. Azalea is going to be a larger avatar for an original character I'd previously shelled as a 1/4 size doll about five years ago. Alma is going to be Zera (alter ego of Zach, who is a Gnaeus).

 

The new body looks interesting ... the outfit too.

Could Somebody Tell the height of a new Star Body Girl with high heel feet on?

 

My Karena is about 66-67cm with high heel feet..that might be different depending on the head..without head about 61cm.
