Yep, they've given me an address to send an actual sample to. I need to go get one but that'll need to wait until Monday as today is grocery day, it's a 2km round trip (walking) and it's currently warmed up to -20C with the windchill. Brrrrrrr. The walk to the paint store is another 2km round trip in the opposite direction from the grocery store and I'm not into walking 4km in those temps today if I don't absolutely need to.

 

I'm so glad they are going to help you out @Iron_Dog , my faith in them was waining yet we've all been through a seriously bad 2 years. I'm kind of holding my breath and waiting for a new normal to get a foot hold!

@thedarkeststar13 wow, I love your take on Azalia. She looks like a different sculpt with those gorgeous lips! Your other girl is equally gorgeous

 

It has been a pretty rough 2 years for everybody. They're doing everything they can to get this right for me.

 

Oh my, what is her exact head circumference, if I may ask? Even though I'm no stranger to small SD/65cm heads, I still struggle putting 7-8in wigs on their noggins (they're an annoying in-betweener size), so Sicily easy taking that wig size is saying something. It makes me wonder if her lightbulb-headedness is as pronounced as my DF-H boy -- supposedly at 23cm, but with such small features that one of Granado's newer, larger heads (a little less than 23cm, but realistically proportioned) is actually bigger. I can imagine how annoying it must be to have such an enormous neck hole, too. Another doll of mine has a relatively meh side profile because the neck hole is visible from that view.

Also, looks like Impldoll is still on a roll with their paler-than-expected colors, eh? That's good that they're willing to fix the problem, but looks like sending color samples is the way to go if you don't want to end up with wash-outs. Until their Brown remains just a teeny touch above normal, I wouldn't be too keen on dropping dough for the darker colors.

 

Oh man, their brown is down the drain now? I'm bummed. Even if I send a color sample, I'm worried I will still get the wrong colors, and the colors I want are for the heads I got from them previously, so their own colors I'm just bummed about all this uncertainty and that my last body didn't fit my RS Plaice at all. I don't want to move forward with any other head due to this anxiety

 

They have a new colour mixer so I'd def say send a sample to them to make sure you get what you need. I'm going to be sending out my sample today. I'm sending a paint chip/swatch (SW 6746 153-C5 Julep; for those curious) that I got from my local Sherwin Williams paint store. Of course I'll post the results of that here.

Hey there been a while. I'm still on the hunt for a good body for my Narissa head. Is there a comparison thread of different bodies with a impldoll 64 or 70cm. I'm looking for something that is 65cm or shorter? The ones on my list are DF-H63cm, T&D 65cm, Soom Super Gem or Dika 65cm. If anyone has their Impdoll head on a different body that is 65cm or shorter I'd love to see them or if you can point me in the right direction of some good comparison photos. If you have any other suggestions please feel free to comment...though I've already tried April Story and it was a no. Thank in advance.

 

@Kitty Blue I have an Azalea on an older Doll Family A body-- it's about 62cm. There's a pic on the page before this one in this thread.

 

Are you looking for comparisons of the T&D 60cm or 65cm? I have another girl with the T&D 65cm, and I could swap bodies between my Bernice and that girl to get some comparison photos if you need them. Just let me know if this is the body you're looking for info on or not.

Guys. Could you help me, please. Some of you bought just a head from Impl.

How much did you pay for it? Were You quoted the head price + postage? Or was postage included in the price? I want to know their regular prices, not the ones they have during special events.

I do know it would be easier to ask them directly. But I don't want to bother them during New Year.

@Swampruler I was told it would be 100 USD for the Ransom head I bought, and then after I gave them my address I was given the shipping price.

The head is white resin that I heavily blushed to match the DF-H tan body. I also have a head in Impl real skin resin made in 2021 but it is much paler than the DF-H tan!

 

Cool I'll store that away for the future if I want to get any more SD dolls I really like the DF-H tan I'm sure the tanned color from Impldoll might be too dark but blushing Real skin might work. Thanks!

 

Has anyone put Nicolas (or Eclipse) on a Star body instead of Idol? I’ll probably shoot Impl a query about this on Facebook the next time I remember to log into that hellsite but figured I’d ask since he’s a fairly popular sculpt that many people have tried out different things with.

 

You could always try asking them on Instagram instead~ I've asked questions before and they've responded pretty well~

 

I don’t think I’ve ever posted my second Impldoll girl here. This is my Alma, named Tritonia. She’s based on the character I played in a game called Anima:Beyond Fantasy. Wasn’t fond of the game and it didn’t end well, but I was very attached to my character.

I received a shipping notice for my Bianca and Davina heads ordered during the Thanksgiving sale on Jan. 25th. Forgot to post, forgot about it entirely, in fact--since shipping is so chaotic right now I'd made my mind not to think about incoming packages. Finally checked the tracking this morning and... yep not much to see there. Will update on arrival.

 

I just got my new-to-me Impldoll Iris, but the previous owner did not include the s hooks for the feet and can't find them. Could someone tell me the size s hook I need for her feet? Better yet - can anyone point me to a source for the hooks? (I'm not happy, I've been waiting so long for her and now can't put her back together.)

 

@Violet Kidd There are some sellers on Etsy who have them, I don't know how long it will take for them to get here though. In the meantime, a workaround is to tie the foot onto the elastic with a loop of 1/8" ribbon.

 

My Ransom head came in a few days ago. I really liked his nose and mouth, but his chin was a little to prominent for my taste so today I took out my Dremel and some sanding pads and narrowed it. The head has a huge neckhole for a head that's more in line in size for a typical 70cm doll. It's going to make finding a body more uh, interesting.

 

@Cloudedmind Congratulations on getting him! That's a shame to hear about the huge neckhole though (@Girrl encountered the same with Sicily), who knows if it's the trend with the newer Impl sculpts. How is his head circumference, by the way? Is it 23cm as his ACBJD listing advertised?

 

@AntarelNefertili I measure about 22.5cm so not that much off from AC's listed measurements.

 

Wow my Marlon head with faceup and eyes has shipped. This is the fastest order ever! I ordered it on January 17th. Is this typical wait time?? Once it’s here I have to decide the gender and body.

 

My Davina head got here today. The tracking site has said New York Customs on Monday, guess no one scanned it after that. It's a pretty head, but I am very disappointed. The site lists head measurement as 21 cm, and I would have been fine with that, but I've measured her four times and keep coming up with 19.5 (and that's with shrink wrap still on). I'm assuming my Sicily will be the same. Heck, my BBB Sprite comes in at 17! This is indeed tiny for a 63.5 cm. body. I've got a 21 cm. Souldoll Shiva G head on a 60 cm. BBB body and she looks proportional. I've done the same with a 22 cm. Asleep Eidolon head. I will probably put her on Sicily's body when it gets here, because Sicily is supposed to be smaller, but I can't say I'm happy. Although kudos to Impl for getting her here so fast.

 

My heads from the end of November event just arrived, no shipping notice before hand though. I've set them to off-gas in a separate room because WHOOOOO they smell very strongly!! (Remember friends, scent is particulate; if stuff is off-gassing, put it somewhere with good ventilation that YOU and pets do not have to be in, until it stops reeking.) They must have made these in a bit of a rush and sent them out very... "fresh".

Oh thanks! I got Filraen and Acorn. I might not keep the Acorn, since Filraen turned out to be what I want for this character. The other head was sort of a just in case insurance.

BJDivas just told me last night that my custom tan Impl Model body is finally there! I paid the shipping invoice, so I guess soon I'll be finding out if the body matches my tan Angelsdoll head like it was meant to, or if I have the same problem many of you seem to have had, with colors that were disappointingly pale...

 

Yeah my peach/real skin order is just... NS. Fortunately I've done dyeing and blushing to match before and that's all easier to match a head to a good tan body than vice versa.

 

Exactly-- if the body is super pale compared to the head, I'm stuck with dyeing a whole body (doable, but tough to get even and requires maintenance) or blushing the head paler to match (which kind of ruins the whole point of having gotten the head in tan to begin with!)

Of course I may be borrowing trouble, and I won't know what I'm actually dealing with until it arrives, but this order has been so unbelievably frustrating and full of problems and mishaps and has dragged on so long already, and it's a bummer to think that I might go thru all that and pay the extra for a custom color and still not get what I actually asked for...

 

Me again. Ok I lucked out on getting a Argodoll body here on DoA and it works really nicely with my Impldoll head, however I believe the body is normal yellow. So question is does anyone have the normal pink Argodoll and a Impldoll to check resin colors? Thanks in advance.

 

le sigh, color troubles. I ordered this dude a ringdoll body and I need to see if they'd let me get it in whatever their tan is. hopefully they havent cast it yet.

 

Talked to Divas last week about Tony and Sicily and they talked to Impl, who only sent them the tracking for the Davina head, so they're asking again. I'd really like some news on them.

 

@Isabeau Holy moly, 19.5cm head circumference with the shrink wrap still on? Not really sure I am happy with this trend on the Implgirls, even though I am used to petite heads on laaaaanky bodies (looking at you here, LoongSoul).

Even though I do have a 19.5cm head on an MGB, it works somehow because she has a reverse-lightbulb problem (she benefits from padding inside wigs to heighten the poof) and her facial features are pretty comparable to my 21cm Iplehouse Scarlet. Coupled with the pale resin color I myself experienced, I'm quite hesitant about using another Impldoll female (Zona) to shell out a character. Oh well, time to get scouting again.

 

Well! I'm now very curious to get my hands on my order. I prefer modest head size, but 19.5cm is pretty small. The package appears to be in Canadian customs.

 

How is everyone? Dormant-Adhara has recently returned from having her faceup fixed (yours truly chipped it in an accident months ago), and I really love how the artist managed to match Iplehouse's Peach Gold to the now-defunct Impldoll peachy RealSkin.

I'm debating getting bigger feet for Massi and Kat. They both have teeny tiny feet for their big frames. But I have no idea who sells just big feet.

 

I just stick little feet in bigger size boots. Then they look to have better proportions

 

@A Wee Tiefling Thank you! It took a bit to get used to the dewy-style faceup. But since Impldoll's resin has its own share of shininess, the Iplehouse head now matches the Impldoll MGB even better than before.

With regards to bigger feet: if the bigger boots trick does not work, I recall 65cm Supia girls have large feet (8cm long). I think they allow buying just the basic feet for the 60cm body, but not sure about the 65cm. You may have to ask them if they allow buying just the flat feet!

 

I have bought several double jointed 65cm bodies now. When ordering, there is an option to buy heeled feet for $30. I would ask about flat feet.

Impl just let me know that they've received the colour sample (a paint swatch) I sent them and said there'll be no problem this time in getting the colour right. Yea! Hopefully the casting process doesn't take too long *fingers crossed*.

 

Hopefully they get the color right at last @Iron_Dog, it's gone insanely long enough as is!

Impldoll still hasn't gotten back to BJDivas. I'm wondering if my order got lost or something.

Edit: Divas got back to me this morning. Impldoll says all unfulfilled orders should be in this month's shipment, so here's hoping my boy and girl are almost home!

My heads arrived... maybe a week ago.

Bianca on the left, Davina on the right, both in pink, though they may present more yellow here with the lighting. I like their pink resin. Although it may be somewhat hard to match now, I believe it should age gracefully.

First impression: small indeed. Davina's facial area is roughly equivalent to that of a faceplate style Dollshe Saint. As I tried my best to capture in the pic, Bianca is a smidge larger.

I really like Davina in person. She looks so feminine and friendly blank, has a super cute nose and I like how her eyes are smiling. There's a real cohesion to her entire expression. I was surprised, since her default faceup was so sultry and aloof. I'm eager to paint her. I think I will turn her into an angel character of mine. Her size will probably work for my collection, but for many people with more conventionally scaled dolls it likely would not.

Bianca's an interesting one. I think I personally liked her example styling more than anything, but her profile is super pretty and unique. I can snap more pics if anyone is curious. I think she'd look stunning in a dark skintone.

Anyway, this worked out pretty well for an impulse buy. They arrived when I was having a really bad day and cheered me right up. There was some resin smell when I first opened them, but it dissipated immediately. A good experience--thank you, Impldoll!

 

@Havra Thanks for the picture! Bianca's facial area does look bigger than Davina's-out of curiosity, have you measured her head? I'm wondering if she's the same size. (Maybe that Impl measurement of 21cm. was an average...)

 

@Isabeau By my measurement, Bianca appears to be just about bang on 20cm in comparison to Davina's 19.

She looks really cute! With such tiny Implheads though (really obvious in Sadie's full-body shots), I may eventually just get the headsculpts and hybrid them onto smaller bodies just so they would still look to-scale.

 

good luck with that. Impl may have made their heads smaller (boo!) but the neck holes are massive so you're going to have A Lot of gapping on a smaller body unless it also has a super thick neck
I'm a little concerned that the teeny tiny heads herald Impl shrinking their bodies, yet again. I'm getting so tired of doll companies shrinking their "big" dolls off my potential purchases list

 

Tony and Sicily arrived today! Tony is perfect, and they sent me a gift outfit with the eyes. Since I have a wig already and should have some shoes to fit, all I have to do is face him up. Sicily's body was medium instead of small breast like I asked for, but that actually worked out, because I'm going to try Davina's head on that for a different character. It's way too big for the OC I was using Sicily for, so I'll look for a smaller body for that head.

I'll try to get some photo hosting worked out so I can post pictures when they're done.

As far as neck holes go, I'm thinking I'd rather fill in than widen any day. Had fits widening my Pygmalion Robin's head to fit an Imple SID body, and it could still use a bit more, but I'm waiting a bit. Almost at the max of what is possible. I'm thinking there is Apoxie Sculpt in Sicily's future.

As a random aside, I'd like to point out these new heads have three s-hook slots in the neckhole--so you can place the hook in whichever groove allows for the best neck movement, I guess?
