This is not a comprehensive review of the DF-H 63 cm girl body, but hopefully someone will find it helpful. I just wanted to share some of my initial thoughts on this body and its posing, as well as some photos to illustrate my points. Much of this "review" boils down to my personal opinion, so please take it with a grain of salt as we all have different preferences and expectations If you have any questions, please let me know and I'll do my best to answer them. You are welcome to request additional photos, but I can't guarantee if/when I'll make time to take them! I'm sorry that I can't promise more, but I'd rather be honest Model in the photos is a tan resin DF-H 63 cm girl, small bust, with heel legs (these came strung by default; I also have the flat feet/leg parts and ballet feet) with an Impldoll Alma head. AESTHETICS: The sculpting of this body is very pretty, with a nice level of detail. The DF-H tan resin is VERY shiny and is not really showing off the sculpting to its best advantage. With the small bust option, this body is definitely bottom heavy/pear-shaped, which I really like. I'm picky about bust shapes and sizes, so I'm happy to report that the small bust is lovely and has very natural contours. As far as extremities, the right and left hands are both in the same pose, and the pose is a bit stiff. I prefer hand sculpts which look relaxed, as I find that to be more versatile. The feet are not super detailed on the flat feet or heel legs. The ballet feet are beautifully sculpted but I forgot to take photos of them, oops! HEEL FEET/LEGS and OTHER FEET OPTIONS: The body needs to be completely re-strung in order to switch between the heel legs and the flat legs/feet or ballerina feet, which is a definite down-side in my book. The body came with extra elastic for restringing. ARMS/ELBOWS: The elbows are double jointed but have a limited range of motion. They do not have any inward/outward rotation. This really limits posing and I might end up attempting some modifications to address this issue. The shoulders have a decent range of motion. HIPS: The hip joints lock into place when the doll's legs are brought into a seated position. This makes an upright seated position very stable, but means that a relaxed (leaned back) seated position is more difficult to achieve. LEGS/MOBILITY JOINTS/KNEES: The mobility joints work well. They allow inward/outward rotation of the leg and they also allow the legs to be drawn up to the doll's chest. The knees are double-jointed, they are stable in a standing position and allow a kneeling position when fully engaged. UPPER TORSO JOINT: Good range of forward motion, can lock into several different slightly hunched positions. Excellent range of backward motion, can arch back much farther than any of my other dolls. LOWER TORSO JOINT: Good range of forward and backward motion, but engaging this joint looks very unnatural if doll is unclothed or wearing form-fitting clothing. Photos to demonstrate posing are below. No doll nudity, doll is wearing undergarments. Doll is wearing boots because she is using her heel legs and cannot stand otherwise
OH MY GOSH! You have her knees to the chest with high heels on! That's amazing!!! Thank you so much for the pictures, I'm dying to see mine, and I think I'm buying a second one
I got the same body but in the 2 piece format. I would highly recommend the 3 piece body for sake of posibility. It is a very lovely body though. That tan is gorgrous!
Hi Kitty Blue! The head is supposed to match Volks NS, which is yellow-based. The body is DF-H pink. My camera tried to make them match more than they do, but it's not too far off. DF-H pink is definitely that, but on the neutral side. It's a nice color. I really like these bodies! If you have a larger head, get the large bust- it should balance nicely. I do endorse the 3 piece torso for posing. It makes a difference.
